I have been growing and growing a bigger Shadow Verse Evolve fan than I ever thought I would. Uh, you know, I' I've never been a guy that's been this anime type of guy, but when a game's really good and the art is just ridiculous, then I kind of get sucked into it. Um, I recently got uh a couple of these um starter boxes. Now, the real cool thing about it is if you have a Steam account, we're going to talk more about what you get on on the back end of this. Um, but uh I went and I picked up uh two of these boxes. And this one is the World Beyond Starter uh set, which is really good. It's a nice set. It's going to give you everything that you need to get started. I also bought the dragon version of it, which I've already cracked open, and we're going to be taking a look at down at the table.

1:32 Let's go down check it out, and we'll talk more about this on the other side. So, I very quickly want to show you all the stuff that you get in the box. You're going to get some blank things that you can use as as tokens. That's going to come in to your X area uh because certain cards will develop things. Uh the main thing is I mean the quality of these cards are ridiculous, but this is going to be your leader. Uh you're not going to reveal that until you start. You're going to start with your your uh basic deck of 40 to 50 cards, and then you're going to have an evolve deck, which would come over here. And you're going to be able to play certain cards to evolve uh certain cards. So there there may be some cards in your deck that you will be able to like the Sea Brand Dragon, you'll be able to evolve it uh using points. Um your play points are going to be um very key here because the way that your play points work, okay, each turn your play the ability to get more points will go up. So as you draw your hands, you have to watch.

2:40 you'll be able to play, you know, uh, a one power card and that's going to use up your your power. But if you ever want, you know, you had something with four power, you've got to wait four turns until you get that out. So, you got to play your cards a certain way. Um, you are going to uh get your first turn, but what's going to happen is the person that goes second is going to get these evolution points. Um, and and they're going to be able you can only play one evolution point uh per per turn, but you'll be able to pay cost to evolve certain cards up. The idea is to drag your u to beat the other leader and get them down from 20 down to uh down to zero and that's how you're going to win the game. But there are a lot of things. There's spells that'll come into play. uh you're going to have to [clears throat] defend uh to keep your leader safe. So, you're going to try to uh cast spells to to to stop certain things. Everything is spelled out in this beautiful beautiful um well prodduced uh quick manual that will explain everything and all the different areas and and and and the cards are absolutely gorgeous. Now, I'm going to do a rules explanation video coming up soon. um and and explain how the game is played. I'm just kind of giving you a quick overview, but you get so much out of this because out of this starter box, not only are you getting, you know, a

4:11 starter deck, but you get three uh three booster packs, you're going to get tokens because as as you do damage, it's going to stay stay on there and sustain. um you you know you're going to have things that are going to give you plus armor and stuff like that and different cards like that. But the real the real you know uh home run here is the absolutely beautiful fantastic art that really just sucks you in. Uh here here's a token card. You'll draw, you know, bring that token in um depending on certain cards. uh just really just absolutely gorgeous art and it really fits in. Now the thing about this is um Shadow Verse um Evolution uh Evolve, excuse me, is actually a video game. You're also going to get a code. And what I mean by video game, it's it's a card game that you can play uh through Steam and it's free. Um, it's anytime you buy a booster box, you are going to get a special code that is going to give you additional decks as well as money and certain uh benefits uh so you can purchase more there. Um, it is a paytoplay thing, but you don't need it to play the uh regular campaign. If you're going to want to play people online, then you're going to need that kind of stuff. Um, again, it is a really great system. I really like how it

5:43 works. I love how the evolve works. Um, I love how the point the play points as they go higher, uh, the game becomes faster and more intense and how you defend and how you get through certain things, uh, really stands out. Uh, and they've got one for each one of the um each each one of the um um factions, excuse me.

6:10 Um, like this one is the uh Dragon Craft. Uh, I believe this one is uh um I believe it's Shadowcraft uh Shadowcraft if I'm not sure. Now, now I'm going to have to look because I haven't even opened it up. So, you know, there you go. Um, but I mean just really really just fantastic fantastic stuff. Um, and like I said, you're gonna get three packs of the Gods of Arcane, uh, which is really, really cool. And, uh, boy, I for some reason I can't remember which one this is. Uh, so forgive me, but, um, just an unbelievable, beautiful system. I bought a bunch of booster boxes to to really bring this up because I've been really fascinated with this fantastic, unbelievable game. Of course, you're going to get the playmat as well. Let's go up top and get my final thoughts on this. Uh uh tremendous starter boxes that that you are going to start off with and have a great time with. We go up top. I just wanted to say it's actually Swordcraft. So you have like forest craft and everything else. So we're going to send it up top. But this is Swordcraft. Says it right there and I couldn't even see it.

And um one of the things that that I want to talk about because I I have the sheet actually in my other room is I love my Steam Deck and we've talked about this a thousand times. Um and it gives you a code where it's going to give you a whole bunch of points where you can and and stuff like that where you can buy and play this online. Now, it's free to play and it gives you enough to start and there is a nice little campaign that you could play, but you can play against other people. It's kind of like magic. If you want to spend money, you can, but you don't have to. Um, if you if you play the physical game, you're going to get codes for it to play it online. So, you can kind of hone your game a little bit. But, um, the absolute thing with this is that this is absolutely gorgeous. Uh, I'm invested.

8:26 Uh, the Shadow Verse is absolutely a tremendous card game, an underrated card game in my opinion. Um, and um, I really really am enjoying it. And, uh, the next video that we are going to do on this is I'm going to do a play, you know, show you how the games played. Uh it's it's really not very hard, but uh I wanted to show you these decks and I want you to go over to Steam and do the tutorial. It doesn't cost you anything and you're going to find out what a tremendous game this is. Uh we're going to do a uh a little rundown of how the game works and how you evolve your characters and stuff like that during the game and how and how you you know you get the um points that you need to bring cards out and things like that. It's really really uh fantastic. And then uh we're also going to be cracking open Duet of the of Dawn and Dusk, which is a nice little box set that we're going to be doing. And we're going to be covering a lot of this game as I've got more boxes coming in. And I really want to show you number one, the beauty of the game and how much fun it is to play this game.
