Disney Lorcana: Wilds Unknown - Playthrough (Pack Rush)

Before You Play Jul 17, 2026
Transcript 51:55

Hi everyone, my name is Monique.

I'm Naveen from Before You Play.

And today we're gonna be playing the newest set for Disney Lana called Wilds Unknown.

Yes, Disney Lurana is a trading card game published by Ravensburgger, who are helping sponsor this playthrough. Now, in this game, players going to be taking on the roles of powerful sorcerers known as Illumineers. Ultimately, our goal is to play cards cleverly, outwit our opponents, and try to score 20 lore before they do.

That's right. And so today we're going to be playing a couple of games of Pack Rush featuring Wilds Unknown which introduces Pixar for the first time. So there's Toy Story, The Incredibles, as well as Brave. In addition, there is a new region in the lore called the Wilds, which features biomes that players could explore. And so if you've never played Disney Lana before, we're going to try to teach the game as we play it, including the rules that are specific to Pack Rush.

Now, if you could all do us a big favor and turn on your cling on subtitles. If you make any mistakes, we can add those corrections there. Also, we can add them in a pinned comment. Lastly, if you like these kind of videos and you want to see more in the future, please consider subscribing.

And with that, we are ready to begin. So, if you please direct your attention to the center of the table. We're all set up here for a pack rush game of Disney Lana Wilds Unknown. And as you can see, we are fully set up with four unopened booster packs as well as a lore counter via the Robinsburgger app.

Now, if you're not familiar with packrush, this is basically a way of playing Lorana without needing two full decks. Instead, each player just opens up two booster packs, shuffles them together without looking at them, and plays Lorana without basically knowing what cards are in your deck.

Right? In standard Lorana, you typically have 60 cards uh in play. But in this version of it with packrush, we're only going to have 24 cards each.

And because of that, instead of playing to 20 lore, we're going to play to 15 lore. And in typical Orcana, if you run out of cards in your deck, you typically lose the game. But in packrush, you can just reshuffle your deck and continue playing. And there is another important rule, but let's just choose our booster packs first. What do you think?

Okay, I'll let you choose first.

Okay, I will go with Woody.

My first choice. Uh, okay. I will go with this one here.

Then I'll take this one.

You can take that one.

This one. Now, of course, there was no true rhyme or reason as to why we chose these. They are booster packs, of course, so we don't know what's inside.

That's right. So, shall we open them? And again, we are not allowed to look at the cards.

We're simply opening them and combining the decks together. Now, in each pack, you'll find a puzzle piece. And so, the other rule that's very important when playing Pack Rush is you're going to take these puzzle piece cards out. And they are actually going to start as ink in your ink. Well, so in pack rush, we already start the game with two ink.

Mhm. So, we take our two decks, we shuffle them together. So, we have one deck of 24 cards. Now, we'll talk about exactly what ink does that Mon'nique alluded to. Uh, we have picked first player because we had to lay out the app. So, Malik will be first player. I will be second player.

Yes. All right. So, we are now fully set up. I'm gonna be player one. We each have our two inks already starting in our ink well. And now, all we have to do is draw five starting cards from the top of our decks. Now, just like in standard Lurana, we are allowed to alter by choosing any number of cards from our hands that we don't prefer to start the game with and discarding them to the bottom of the deck, redrawing that many from our decks, and reshuffling our decks.

Basically, a mulligan roll.

Yes. So, I think I'm going to alter two cards. So, I'm going to go ahead and draw two cards from my deck. I'll place these at the bottom, and I'm going to reshuffle them.

Okay, perfect. I will not alter anything. I'm just going to go with what I got.

Very nice. All right, so here is my deck, and I'm going to go ahead and go first. Yep.

Now, if you've never played Lorcon before, again, our goal is to be the first to score a certain number of lore. For packr Rush, it's going to be 15 lore. And on your turn, you always start by doing ready, set, draw. And basically, that means you ready all of your cards. You set by doing any start of turn effects. And then you get to draw a card from your deck, except during the first player's first turn of the game. So, I'm going to skip that part entirely and go into taking actions. And actions include things such as playing a card from your hand. And these cards are going to be characters or items and actions. And we'll just explain them as we play. So the first thing I'm going to do is I'm going to play a character from my hand. This is Prince Charming. Now when playing a card from your hand, you have to exert a certain number of ink as indicated by the number at the top leftand corner. In the case of Prince Charming, I must exert two ink, which means I'm going to turn two cards in my ink well sideways, and I cannot use them to play any more cards for the rest of my turn. But at the start of my next turn, I'll be able to ready them so I can use them again.

Yeah. So, the ink in your ink well are basically the currency for how you get cards into play.

Right now, characters are going to be one of the main ways in which we earn lore throughout the game. On a future turn, I can exert a character to quest and earn the number of lore on the right hand side of the card, which is that symbol there. I can also challenge the beans characters in an effort to banish them. However, you cannot exert a character to do any of these things on the turn that you put them into play. No,

because their ink is still drying. So, I'm going to leave Prince Charming up here. And then later, I'll truly add Prince Charming to my arsenal. And finally, once per turn, you are allowed to ink a card from your hand, which is essentially adding it to your inkwell. But these cards must have this surrounding symbol around the number at the top lefthand corner. So, I'm going to go ahead and ink Lyle over here, adding Lyle to my inkwell. So, now I have three cards. And that's it. That's all I'm going to do on my turn. So, once you're finished, then you pass to the next player. So, now is on to you.

Okay. Uh, nothing to ready because obviously we just started the game. Uh, nothing to set, but I do get to draw unlike Mo'Nique on her first turn. So, I start the game with six cards technically. So, I will start my turn by inking. And I'm going to ink Sleepy over here. Okay.

So, Sleepy is going to be added to my inkwell. So, now I have three to spend on my turn. And the reason I'm going to do that is because I want to play Daisy Duck. So, Daisy Duck over here is going to cost a total of three. And this one says uh it has a a thing here that says break is over. Whenever this character goes on a quest, if you played a character this turn, you may ready another chosen character. If you do, they can't quest for the rest of the turn. So, basically, if I have an exerted character, I can ready them and use them, but I can't take them and send them to go get lore on a quest.

Very nice.

Yes. Okay. So, I did my one ink. Uh I Oh, I was supposed to spend it all on the That's the rules. You have to spend it. So, you turn it sideways to spend it. So,

I'm so mesmerized by your daisy experience.

I know. Thank you. Uh, that's going to be it for me. I'm going to pass.

All right. So, now it's back to me. I'm going to ready. So, I'm readying all of my ink. I'm going to set I'm just going to bring Prince Charming into here. So, we're just going to show the just played characters up here and then the rest of our characters we played previously down here so that we can differentiate them. And then I get to draw a card. So, let's see what we have here. Now, this time I'm actually going to start by inking a card. This is Buzz's arm. It's an item. I'm going to add it to my ink well. So, now I have a total of four. Then I'm actually going to put a location into play. This is the island of Nam Manisan. This is Syndrome's headquarters. Okay.

And in order for me to put into play, I have to exert three ink. So, let me do that first before anything else.

Yeah. Leaves you with one.

Yes. Now, locations, they're actually always in play. They just stay in front of you until banished. And at the start of your turn, you gain the amount of lore at the right here, which is going to be one lore. Now, you can actually move characters to locations by spending the move cost, which in the case of the island is one. And you may want to do that depending on what the location says. In the case of the island over here, it says here, "Research and development. Robot characters get plus one strength and plus one willpower while they're here. Prince Charming over here is not a robot, so uh I wouldn't be able to benefit from that just yet. But it also says cheap shot. Once during your turn, whenever a character banishes another character in a challenge while here, you may deal two damage to the chosen character. That is a cheap,

which is really nice. So, I am going to spend that last ink in order to move uh my character to that location. But charming is going to go to that location. Any number of characters can be at a location, by the way, and it doesn't matter whether they're readied or exerted. So, other than that, the last thing I'm going to do is I'm going to quest with Prince Charming, exerting Prince Charming, and gaining me one lore. This is the first lore of the game.

Yes.

Hey. Hey,

one zero.

There you go.

And that is it for my turn. So, I passed.

All right. You're on the scoreboard. Okay. Let's ready my cards. So, let's go ahead and start that off. So, that going, uh, I'm going to set. Let's bring Daisy Duck ready to be played in different ways. And let's go ahead and draw my card. Let's see what we get. Okay. Uh, let's first ink a card. I'm going to ink like a bird in the sky. This one is over here. So, this is going to be there. Now, I have four total and I too will get a location into place. This is Andy's room.

Oh,

everybody knows Andy's room. Okay. So, this is going to cost me three of my ink. So, I have one remaining.

Okay.

Uh, Andy's room right here. Uh, basically says Andy's favorite. While you have only one character here, they get plus two willpower and plus one lore.

That's bad. And And Andy's room has eight willpower. Now, willpower is basically as soon as you start getting challenged or basically attacked.

Yes.

Um that's how much defense the card basically has. So any character that goes here, uh one character here,

um gets plus two willpower. So that's really really strong for me. So I'm going to keep this out here. Now, unfortunately, in order to move a character here, it's going to cost me two ink. I only have one remaining.

Oh, fantastic.

So this is a future me thing.

Okay.

So I cannot move Daisy Duck right now. I'm going to have to find another way to get ink. Maybe in a future turn perhaps. But I will go on a quest with Daisy Duck. So, let's go on a quest to gain one lore. That way, I can try to keep up with you as much as possible.

All right. So, we are one.

One. That'll wrap up my turn. I'm going to pass.

All right. So, then it is back to me. Let's ready. So, I have four ink. Readying my ink. Readying Prince Charming who is at the island. All right. Nothing to set. And let's draw. Actually, I lied. I get a lore because of this location. Yes.

So, I am now at two lore and you know, I think I'm going to exert all four of my ink in order to put another character into play. So, we have Rat Capone, the rodent gangster. So, cost me my four ink. Um, Rat over here is drying. And Rat's ability is shut up. While this character has no damage, he gets plus three attack. So, right now, he's at uh five attack. O.

In the future, I'll be able to quest with him for two lore, but for now I'm just going to quest with Prince Charming for one additional lore. And I think that's it. Past you.

Okay, very good. So, let's go ahead and ready. Let's bring these all back. Um, this can all just be here.

Okay.

Uh, we have a set. We have something to get. We get lore. Okay.

So, 32.

32. And then I draw my card. I'm going to start by inking remote ink lens. And u it's unfortunate, but I have to do that. So that's five for me.

Okay.

I will spend one ink in order to put Robin Hood in play. So we know Robin Hood. Everybody knows Robin Hood.

Oh yeah.

Uh Robin Hood has no special ability or anything, but three willpower. And of course one strength. I will spend two other ink. Two more inks. So now I spent a total of three to move Daisy Duck onto and into Andy's room.

So now we have So now this is valid right here. So Andy's favorite. while you have one character here, which is what I have,

they get plus two willpower. So, instead of it being three willpower, now they have five willpower.

Nice.

Uh, and they get an additional lore. So, whenever they quest, um, it's going to be two lore instead of just one.

That's bad.

And I'm going to do this while I can. I'm going to go on a I'm going to quest with Daisy Duck.

Okay.

So, we're going to quest. And because I'm questing with Daisy Duck while in Andy's room, it's going to be two lore.

Two lore.

Let's do it now. I'm going for it.

That's so good. That's it for me. So, I'm going to pass now.

All right, let's ready. I'm going to set. Let's bring Rad Capone in here. Join the crew. And I gain a lore for my island over here. Let me just

reset my ink. Okay, I have

and then I'm going to draw. Okay, so now I'm just going to get straight to it. I am going to play a character. This is Dash Par. We all know Dash from the Incredibles. I'm going to exert four ink in order to put Dash into play. And the thing that is swell about Dash over here is Dash has Rush. This character can challenge the turn they are played.

In addition, Rush also has record time, which says this character can quest the turn he's played, but I think I'm going to be utilizing uh his rush ability because I'm going to challenge. Now, typically what challenging entails is you would choose one of your characters, you would exert them, and you would basically attack an exerted character that belongs to an opponent. So, the important thing here is that character must be exerted. You cannot attack characters that were not used essentially on that player's last turn. And when doing so, both characters would essentially apply their strengths to the opposing characters against their willpower. And so, let's just say for example, I were to challenge Daisy Duck with Rat Capone. I would add five damage to Daisy Duck because of Rat Kapone's ability. And Daisy Duck would conversely add three damage to Rat Capone because that is Daisy Duck's strength.

And if ever the amount of damage is equal to or greater than the character's willpower, then that character gets banished and basically goes into your discard. However, alternatively, instead of challenging a character, you can challenge a location. And locations do not have strength because they do not attack you back. So, in the case of Andy's room over here, Andy's room has a willpower of eight. And I really don't like Andy's room because of what it's giving to these single characters. So since Dash has rush, I'm going to exert Dash to challenge Andy's room. And Dash has a strength of three, which means I'm going to add three damage to Andy's room. Now, there is still five more damage I need to add if I want to banish that card. So I'm also going to challenge using Rat Capone. Again, Rat Capone has a strength of five because there is no damage on his card.

That's a nasty little combo there.

Just going [clears throat] to bring this up to an eight. And now Andy's room.

Barely got any use out of Andy's room. I got one use out of it.

It's fantastic.

Banished. You have gone Andy's room.

Yes.

Into my discard pile. I'll just keep it off.

Okay. All right. Now that that's out of the way, I'm going to quest with.

So, that was a little bit of a setup there, but that's it for me. I pass to you. Not good. Okay, so let's go ahead and ready.

Come on, folks. We need some big hitters here. Okay, so uh nothing to Oh, yeah. I got to get my ink going. And then now let's go ahead and grab myself a card. I will start by playing Bruno Madreal.

So this one's going to cost uh five. So all of my ink, all five of my ink are going to go and be used.

Okay.

Uh so this one right here, um it has a couple different things. So the strength is four, the willpower is five. Mhm.

Uh, this one says, uh, find that vision once during your turn. Whenever you remove damage from one of your characters, you may look at the top two cards of your deck. Put one into your hand and the other to the bottom of the deck.

Oh, okay. That's nice.

You have some pretty heavy hitters, though, that I don't think damage is going to accumulate. I think you're just going to wipe them out. So, that's I don't know. But, I like the strength and I like the willpower. Uh, the other thing here, it says uh Yeah. Yeah. Me, too. Uh, you'll be okay. Whenever this character quests, you may remove all damage from chosen character. So,

Oh, that's nice.

Yeah. So, it's like I can remove damage from a character, but like I said, I don't think damage is going to accumulate on these particular characters. So, I got to find other characters to get out there.

Okay.

So, this kind of a bummer. I think I'm going to challenge using Daisy Duck and uh Dash got to go.

Dash.

Dash has to go.

So, you're challenging Dash. So, you're Daisy Duck has three. Dash only has two willpower, but I also will deal my three strength to you, which banishes Daisy Duck.

So, the way I see it is uh when I quest with Daisy Duck, it's one, but when you quest with Dash, it's two. So, I got to get that out of play.

Well, what does this say? Whenever this character quests

Yeah. Whenever this character quests, if you played a character this turn, you may ready another chosen character. Remember that whole thing? Um I didn't have enough characters out there to to make that Yeah. happen. So, okay. So, they're both wiped out.

So, they they both become banished.

Banished. It's unfortunate because Dash had two lore, which would have been nice on my next turn, but it is what it is.

And I think I'm just going to go for a quest with Robin Hood. So, let's gain one lore.

All right. So, you're at five. Anything else?

That's me. I'm going to pass.

All right. So, now it goes back to me. This is a lore acquiring turn.

The gods, the pack rush gods have smiled upon my deck, I think. So, I'm going to ready. So, let's ready all of these. I'm going to set. Let's gain a lore for my island

and I'll draw. All right, first I am going to exert two ink to put Merida's bow into play. So Merida's bow is an item and when playing items, these actually stay in play. They give you an ability that you can use on your turn. Uh for me bow over here, it says when you play this item, easy shot, deal one damage to a chosen character. I'm going to deal damage to Robin Hood.

Wow.

Boom. Robin Hood has three willpower. So there's that. Thank you.

In addition, I have final arrow over here that allows me to exert one ink to banish this item, allowing me to deal one damage to a chosen character. I'm just going to hold on to that.

And then I'm going to play another item. This is Shepherd's Journal, and it costs two. So, going to exert my over here.

Um, it says, "When you play this item, you may look at the top card of your deck, put it on either the top of your deck or into your discard." So, and then I also have key to the puzzle for one ink. I can banish this item, which allows me to return another item card from my discard uh to my hand. So, let me do that. I'm going to look at the top card of my deck. I guess I keep it on the top of my deck.

Okay.

All right. Um lastly, it's time to quest. So, I'm going to quest both Rat Capone and Prince Charming for a total of three lore. So, one, two, three.

Okay.

I'm at nine. Pass to you, Naveen.

Yes. Let's go ahead and ready. So, I have my five ink. Robin Hood. Wake up. Um I'm in a set. Bruno, come on in. don't have a location to get myself a passive lore. I do get to draw a card. Let's start by questing with Robin Hood. So, let's go ahead and get myself one lore.

Okay,

six.

Six. Then I am going to quest with Bruno. So, this one is going to be another one like that. So, I get another point.

But, uh this one says uh you'll be okay whenever this character quests, you may remove all damage from your chos chosen character. So, I'm going to remove it from Robin Hood.

Ah. Forgot about that.

There you go. And then once during your turn, whenever you remove damage from one of your characters, you may look at the top two cards of your deck, put one into my hand, one at the bottom.

So, let's take a look.

That's terrible. That's too bad. So, the the moral of the story here is if I'm going to deal damage, I need to make sure I banish that character, right?

Yes. But now now they're turned sideways, unfortunately.

So, you have the opportunity to banish them on your next turn because they are exerted.

Oh, so that is fortunately fine.

Okay. I will keep this card. And this one is going to go to the bottom.

Okay.

And now I still have five ink. So, let's bring out the heavy hitters. We're going to bring out

Wow, this is very confident.

Mhm. I will spend all five ink to play Moro.

Oo,

M's a heavy hitter. Okay, so MU here. Uh, it's uh it cost five.

Yes.

Strength of five or strength of eight, willpower of eight. So, that's good against whatever you got going on over there. Uh, if I ever quest with them, it's three lore. So hopefully I can survive at least another round. Okay, this one says, "A ferocious roar. When you play this character, exert all your characters, not name mor." So that's why I wanted to do these first. If I played this card first, then these would be exerted. I could do the things that I wanted to do.

So

how amazing would that be if you had multiple mors in your deck?

Yes, that would be amazing. But I don't know if I do. So uh um I also have this rooted by fear. Now, this is unfortunate. Uh, your characters not named Mor do uh can't ready at the start of your turn. So, these are going to stay in the exerted uh form.

Well, they're going to stay exerted at the start of your turn. So, if you have another card, I'm assuming that allows you to ready a card, then I think you can still do that, right?

Right. So, at the start of my turn, it's going to look like this. So, this one's in play up here. Uh they are drawing currently.

Yes.

Uh and that is going to be it for me. I'm going to pass.

All right. Well, the current score is 9 to seven. It's actually quite close still.

Still,

I thought I had a lot going on there, but I think that was all talk right now.

We're playing 15.

Yes,

you're going to definitely get at least four on this one.

Yeah, you used to be six, but all right, I'm going to ready.

Used to be six.

Let's ready, everyone.

Okay,

set. So, I'm going to gain my one here. I am five away.

You are.

And draw. Although I already know what I'm drawing. So, I mean, frankly, I think I just have to quest with both these characters because if I do that, even if you banish Rat,

I think I can still

I can still get to 15 on my next turn

possibly because of my location. So, I'm just going to quest using both Rat Capone and Prince Charming. That's going to be three lore. Two, three. So, I'm at 13. Um, is there anything else I can do here? I can I'm not going to Am I really not going to use my ink? Yeah, I guess not. I'm going to pass. Okay.

So, just back to you. Okay. Uh, let's go ahead and ready. Um, we are going to then also set. Oh, no, no, no, no. They stay this way. Nice. Rud the rule. Yeah, don't worry. I did remember.

You get to draw draw me a card. So, I will start by questing with Mu.

Let's get myself three.

Three. Wow. One, two, three. You're at 10.

I'm at 10. Yeah, I know. This is too This is Oh,

what?

If I destroyed the island,

it's too late.

It's too late, huh?

You've exerted.

No, no, I know. If I hadn't I don't think I could stop you though cuz then you have one, two, three. Ah.

Yeah, it doesn't matter cuz you're only able to challenge with one character.

I can't split this eight strength to to multiple characters.

Yeah, you don't have your other two characters are exerted. So you can only challenge with an unexerted with a readyied character, which is the issue because I have three cards that are gaining me lore essentially. So if you just remove one of them, I'll still gain the two.

Yep. Exactly. Okay. Well, uh, I'm

You have some funny business.

I I have a slight funny business, but it's I don't think it's going to overcome

the funny business on Andy's room. I think Andy's room was a big

was a big, uh, damage for me, but

that's okay. Remember how you talked about another Mueo? I did have another Moro. Well, I drew I drew it later.

Oh,

so this one cost uh two.

This cost me two of my five ink.

Put that there. Now, this one over here has rush just like uh your character that had rush. This character can challenge this turn.

The turn that they play

that they've played. So this is the moment that's there.

So with three strength,

three strength.

You can't banish any of my characters with three strength. But I guess you can make Rat Kapone weaker.

I Yeah, I will do that to Rat Kapone.

You're you're going to you're going to challenge Rat Kapon?

Yeah, because I can only I can I can only challenge I can't uh I I can't rush in quest with them.

Right. Right. Right.

So let's just do it. Go ahead.

All right. You are dealing three damage to Rat Capone who deals five damage back to you

which the willpower is only two. So just got taken out. That's okay. It was just for the not even a whole turn.

I know. They just came in.

Disrespect Moo.

It's true. Okay, we have uh two more ink to spend. One, two. So that leaves me with one. We're going to put a super suit in play. This one over here uh says uh when you play this item, if you have a hero character in play, gain one lore. Everybody knows Robin Hood is a hero. And if you don't know, it says it right there. Nice little little wording right here. Fact.

So yeah, that that's how you you can identify though. If you're not sure about the cards, there's little like tags like on on the cards themselves. That is true.

So Robin Hood is a hero. So I'm going to gain one L. See, I'm making this look respectable.

You're at 11 there.

Also, this card has another ability called Suit Up. So if I exert this card, I can spend two ink. And if I've played a hero character this turn, I can draw a card. Ah,

so I did not play a hero character, so I didn't want to put ink into play so I can draw a card because I didn't have a hero to do.

But it's an item that stays there. So whenever that is true, you can do it.

Mhm. Uh, so I have one ink left. Unfortunately, I am going to pass.

All right, it is

Capone

going to be over because I guess I helped do everything, right? Yeah.

So that's ready, set, boom, and draw. Mhm.

And then I am just going to I'm going to quest. Should I quest with Rat Capone? Rat Capone is the true hero here, not Prince Charming.

So I'm going to quest for the two lore, but we I hit the 15 already. So that's it.

16 more.

You want me just go to 16?

The rules.

Boom.

16.

All right.

All right. It is over because again in Pack Rush, we are only playing to 15. And these are meant to be quick, snappy games. You know, you only have a deck of 24 cards. You have no idea what's going to be in this deck. There's no, you know, deck crafting or anything like that. You just, you get what you get. Yep.

And you don't complain. So, some of the other cards I had in my hand, by the way, I had Donald Duck. This is the card that was at the top of my deck. And Donald had cost five ink. I didn't have five ink. I knew I wasn't really going to be able to play Donald. Um, I also had this location that I just drew. It's Kasa Madrial. And, uh, this says healing home. Whenever a character quests while here, you may remove up to two damage from them, then you may remove up to two damage from this location. Are

we not even seeing the two at the start of every turn?

Two lore. This would have been an awesome one for you.

For me? Yeah. Yeah. Or me

at the start of your turn.

Um I had Todd. Uh Todd is a nimble fox. Uh and they have evasive. So I would have really liked to play this one. Um so evasive basically means uh only other characters that have evasive can actually challenge them. So if if I've ever used Todd, then if they're out there and they're in the exerted form, then only you can challenge them if you also have evasive.

It has evasive.

So this would be great if you can kind of see like, hey, they don't have evasive, so this is good.

Uh if you quest with them, it's too lore. So I could have got this out and been like, you don't have evasive. Keep, you know, doing that.

Yeah, two lore is really nice.

Unfortunate. Yeah.

Let's just take a peek at our decks. We didn't uh actually get to see what was in here. Oh, I had Sleepy. We have Frozone. We have Gossin, Malard, and Rex. We have Rex from Toy Story in its pretty form over here. Bodyguard. This character may enter play exerted. An opposing character who challenges one of your characters must choose one with bodyguard if able.

Yep.

We have Dopey. We have Fauna. Uh, Copper. So, you have Todd. I have Copper.

There you go.

Chip.

The Fox and the Hound. Huh?

Yeah. Chip, but no Dale. So,

I have Dale.

Oh,

to your chip.

To my chip.

Um, I had Milo Thatch. We had Fergus. Um, Josh Sweet. Uh, what else do we have?

Oh, Lord.

MaxF safety ropes. This one is an item. Uh, when you play this item, you may put a character card from your discard on top of your deck. Well, that that would be nice. Yeah. If you know some if Mo'Nique banished something, it's like, oh,

yeah.

Try to do it again kind of thing. Uh, Bullseye. Um, the claw. Everybody knows the claw from Oh, we had a the Fat Cats Club.

Oh, this is that sort of had two lore every start of every turn.

That would be nice.

It It only cost three ink to get into play, too.

All right. Well, fortunately, we are going to play another game of Pack Rush. Let's just go ahead and get set up and we'll see you in a second.

All right. We're back. Another set of packs to choose from. Uh this time, I'm going to be first player. See if it makes any difference here.

Yeah. Randomly determined that Naveen will be going first now. So, since I chose first last time, would you like to choose your booster set? You did really good with a woody deck. Now, again, I'm just joking. Uh, but I will take this woody deck.

Okay, I'll take this one.

I'll take another woody deck.

Perfect.

All right.

All right. Here we go. Let's get those

Let's see if I can do this

puzzle cards out. Oh, we've got Mickey or Minnie. Sorry. We've got Mickey.

Minnie.

And got a trail of some sort.

Ah, Mickey. I have both.

Oh, no. That's Is that a bad sign for me?

It is an omen.

Okay. What did I do here? Oh, yeah. There we go. Okay. I'm going to go ahead and shuffle my deck now.

Come on. Give me something. Oh,

you also have

Oh, we have the same same looking Mickey.

Yeah. Yeah. I mean, it's going to be the same.

I don't know.

All right, let's shuffle our decks. All right.

And again, you can alter. So, I don't think you did last time.

I didn't.

That was the difference.

Yeah, that was that was actually big. That was big.

All right, we have our decks all shuffled. Let's go ahead and draw our hand of

four. Five. Make sure it's five. Okay. Yeah. Five. Let's take a look. This time I am not going to alter. This is a This is a very different starting hand.

I'm going to do one.

Okay.

So, I'm going to just take one card. One goes under and we're going to shuffle it up.

Come on. We got to get a W. There we go. It's nice and shuffled.

All right. So, Nine,

am I taking away our first player today, please?

All right. Don't get to draw a card. There's nothing to ready or set.

Yep.

Okay. I'm kind of in a pickle here. I have cards that I think are very good and each one of these I don't want to put into my ink well because I want to hold on to it, but then they because they're good cards, you have to pay ink to actually get them in play. So,

it's true, but you'll draw another card in your next turn.

I know, but like so

what if the one I draw is like the one that should be in

nice and slow.

Slow and easy.

All right, this one is just very expensive. I'm going to ink chip. This kind of pains me.

Wa. Yeah, that's expensive. So, unfortunately, they are going to go into my ink well. Just like that. Uh, now that I have three ink, let's put a location into play. It's going to cost all three. This is one that I showed in the last one. I just happen to get it again.

Oh,

fat Cat's Club. This one cost three. It comes in ready to go.

Uh, it's really nothing too SP. Well, let's read about this. The hottest club only the coolest cats in town.

Oh,

only for them.

Of course, the fat cats. Yeah, only I missed the word four, but you know that's why it sounded kind of strange. Only four.

Four.

Okay. It's going to get me two lore at the start of my turn. So that's kind of nice. Please do not attack this on turn one.

Do not challenge that thing.

I can't.

That's me. Pass. Very simple.

Goes to me then. So let's ready, set, and draw. And I think for this turn, I'm actually going to put two characters into play. The first character is Willow the Wisp. So I have to exert one ink. And Will of the Wisp is interesting because they have zero strength, three willpower, but they have an ability that's come on out. When this character is banished in a challenge, you may return this card to your hand. So it's kind of like the gift that keeps on giving, you know. So Willis is going to dry. And for the second character, we have Louisa Madreal. So another

not strong at all. Monique zero zero strength. However, uh Louisa over here has challenger plus two. While challenging, this character gets plus two strength. So really, it's they have plus two, you know, and both of them can quest for one lore each. So, it's pretty nice.

Okay.

Um

so, it's only while you are challenging. So, if I'm the challenger,

then they don't get the plus two.

Yes. While challenging. Okay.

All right. And finally, I'm going to ink gadget hack rancher right here. So,

there's zero strength on that one, too.

Yeah.

Yeah. That was why I figured let's just do that. All right, I passed you.

I Well, I like this ready. So, we are going to get my ink set up.

Okay,

set. Let's get myself two lore.

You're on the board. So bad.

Going to do eight rounds of that.

So bad.

Eight turns of that and then I'll That'll be it. You just keep playing blank cards, not doing anything. Okay, so I get to draw, of course.

Okay, I'm going to use zipper to ink. So now I have four ink. Okay,

now I will play Monteray Jack. Now, Monteray Jack is going to cost me three of my four ink. Uh, they have a strength of one and a willpower of four. This one says, "Bird's eye view. When you play this character, so now you may reveal the top card of your deck. If it's a character card, you may put it in your hand. Otherwise, I put it to the bottom of the deck."

Oh, okay.

So, I don't know. I just kind of want to get it see something cool.

So, you must reveal it.

You must know it is a It is a character.

It's a character. It's Ly. Good old L.

Ly. Yeah. So, this is mine. If it's character card, you may put it into your hand. Oh, wait. Let's Let's analyze this card.

You want to read it?

I'm just kidding. Go ahead. I'm speaking to your hand.

Well, at least you know it had it had a two cost to put out, so I can't put it out right now.

I do know that.

Um, so unfortunately, I've already I've already inked, so I am going to pass now at that point.

All right. So, it goes back to me. Let's go ahead and ready. Uh, set and draw. All right. For one ink, I'm going to put Audrey Ramirez into play. Um, and Audrey has the rush ability. So again, this character can challenge the turn they are played, which I'm going to do. So Audrey has a strength of two. I'm challenging the fat cat's club. So

coming for my club.

I'm coming for your club. So two damage.

Six will power. So it's not enough, but it was something.

Yeah.

Then for my last two ink over here, I'm going to put Ham into play. Ham the piggy bank.

Um Ham has loose change over here. In the future, I can exert Ham to pay one ink less for the next character I play that turn. So it's kind of, you know, it's a forward plan.

Another gift that keeps given.

As for my other two characters, I'm definitely going to quest with Wool of the Wisp. So now I have one on the board, but I think I'm going to challenge with the Whisa.

I'm going to challenge the Fat Cats Club because while challenging, this character gets plus two. So that's going to go to a four.

Wow. And the thing that's nice about locations is they don't hit you back. I can't have you getting two lore every single turn.

So, I'm really only getting this one more turn.

I hope so. That's the goal. That's the hope.

Okay.

All right. And I think that's it. So, pass.

Okay. Very good. So, let's ready all my ink.

Okay.

Let's bring Mterrey Jack over here.

Hello.

Let's uh get my two. One, two. Can't forget that. Mustn't forget that.

Mustn't forget that. Don't know how much longer. All right. That'll be a thing. So, don't forget that. I'm going to ink with Lyle.

Okay,

there you go. No need to read everything else then.

All that just for you to ink Lyle.

Very useful because I needed five ink in order.

Mhm.

So, I'm going to spend all five

in order to play the witch.

The witch costs five ink. Now, it's going to have a strength of four and a willpower of six. And I kind of like this one because we have unsatisfied customers.

Oh, okay. Okay. Whenever this character is challenged, each opponent, Mon'nique, loses one lore.

Thank you, Nib.

To gain your lore, if you want to challenge them, you lose a lore.

Okay.

Uh whenever I quest with the witch, it's going to be a two lore coming my way. So, I

basically better be good.

Better be good. Yeah.

All right.

Uh that's pretty much it for me. I'm going to pass.

Wow. That's really nice. The witch card is really nice. Really nice. I'm not happy about that. All right. Let's ready. Readying. Let's set and

what cards

draw. Yeah, I got a lot of characters this time.

You can you can get four lore.

I could

just turn them sideways.

You just do that. Maybe I should do that. Although I need to attack you for two more.

Dang it.

Um

because you really need to get the fat cats.

I was trying to distract you.

I do anything else though.

I really didn't want you to get this this cat.

I'm playing an action card. So I'm exerting three ink to play Firefly Swarm. Naveen is really going to hate this because when you play an action card, I don't know if we did this last game, but action cards are just a one-time use. You just resolve the action and then you discard the card. In the case of Firefly Swarm, I choose one. I can banish a chosen character with two strength or less. Or if two or more other cards were put into your discard this turn, then I just banish a chosen character.

And that will not be the case.

Okay, good.

So, I'm going to choose the top one. Banish chosen character with two strength or less. I believe Monterey Jack has two strength or less.

Just like that, huh?

Right.

I just I just

banish. I banish you. Monterey Jack.

Wow.

You're out of here.

That's it.

That's it. All right. So,

that's it for him.

Yep.

He didn't even do anything.

Nope. Then I'm going to ink Zeus because frankly Zeus is very expensive and also this character enters play with four damage. So I I would have it would have been hard would have been hard to to make Zeus work. And then as for my characters here, I'm going to challenge Batcat's Club again with Louisa Matreal because again challenging is plus two strength.

Four plus two makes six. Six is my six.

Fetish. Bye-bye. Fat Cat Fat Cats Club.

You are so nice. Fat Cats Club. I wanted another round with you, but

Nope. And then with these three, I'm just going to quest with the rest of them.

One, two, three, four. Laura total. Yeah, we're at a tie. So, we'll pass to you play.

It's pretty good.

All right. Yeah. Uh, ready.

Okay.

Okay. We're going to get everybody all set. Everything's good there. I'm going to draw.

Okay.

I'm going to play Merida. Merida is going to cost all five of my ink. So, there we go.

Wow. You have expensive cards.

Yeah, the these are all the cards that were in in my hand. It's going to have that two if ever I go on a quest with Merida.

So, nice.

Uh, this one says, uh, shift three ink. And so that basically means I may pay three ink to play this on top of one of my characters named Merida.

Yes.

So if I had another character then I could have put this out like that. Uh but the main thing ability is fierce protection. While this character is exerted whenever an opposing character challenges you may deal one damage to that challenging character.

What?

So this means like if Merida's like this and I have the witch here challenging. If you challenge the witch, Merida like off to the side hits you for one damage. Oh,

now obviously if you challenge Merida, then that's another extra damage.

Wow, this is a really wild duo. This

I like this. This is a good pairing. So, uh, now let's go ahead and send the witch to quest. Let's get myself two lore.

All right, so remember this one says whenever this character is challenged,

each opponent loses one lore. So, don't even think about it.

You should just leave them alone.

I need something else.

Um, I have nothing else to do. So, I will stay like that.

This is bad. This is really bad news. Naveen has the ability to just quest for four every single turn. And I I I face some sort of something bad if I choose a challenge.

You can also quest for four by just not doing anything. We're going to see who.

But I can't I can't challenge you. That's tough. All right, let's ready.

Yeah,

it's tough. Dire straits.

I want to win this one. So, ready, set, and draw. All right. Well, first I'm gonna exert two ink to play Goofy. So, Goofy over here, the determined traveler, uh, has an ability called Falling Rocks. Whenever this character quests, if you played another character this turn, you may deal one damage to a chosen character or location. So, I guess it's a good way to deal damage without challenging, right?

Whenever this character is challenged,

challenge.

Unbelievable.

Yeah. Same thing here. Everyone was a character challenges. So Goofy Goofy is your problem.

Yeah. Well, I mean the thing that's nice is your characters cannot be challenged unless they're exerted. Yes.

So Goofy over here is safe

from your grasp, Naveen.

Your dirty fingers. All right.

So gosh, should I just quest with all of them? [sighs]

I mean

Oh, but if you if you quest, you're going to go you're going to go up to 10. I, this is probably very unsmart, but I'm actually going to exert uh Ham to use Ham's loose change ability. So, I can exert Ham to be able to pay one ink less for the next character I play this turn. So, I'm going to do that.

And I'm going to play B Peep.

So, Bo here costs three ink. I'm just going to exert two. So, two and now I have at least another character.

You have a lot.

Bo here has an ability that says, "Somebody do something." Your character is named Woody. Gain bodyguard, which is um an opposing character who challenges one of your characters. Must choose one with bodyguard if able. I don't have Woody in play, clearly. So, but

you're going to want to quest with the

B Peep. Yeah, B Peep gives me two lore. All right, I'm going to quest with the rest. So, that's going to be three.

Oh, you have a lot of cards. Oh, man.

Yeah, but you have a lot of lore. I I do, but like the whatever cards I put into play on my next turn Yeah.

cannot go on a quest, right? They can't quest to gain lore. So, right now, you are on your very next turn. If if I don't attack you,

Yeah.

you're going to get one, two, three, four, five, six, seven.

Yes,

that's that's

that is true. Um that's if I mean you're you can go to 10. I mean Oh, I would be one turn ahead. That is true. So, it does put you in a difficult position.

Yield pickle.

Yield pickle. Did I say pass? I passed. Passed to you.

Pass. Okay. Well, let's just uh bring these. Bring these. Bring these. And draw a card. Okay. Uh question to you. Do you have any cards in your hand?

No, I have no cards in hand.

No cards in hand.

No, that that is a bad thing.

Simple turn here.

We're going to put Todd into play.

Oh, good old Todd.

Todd is if I quest with Todd, it's two. Ooh,

I can't do it on this turn. On the next one, I can.

So, uh, they're evasive. This is the one I described at the end of the last turn or the last game. So, basically, only characters with evasive can challenge this character.

Okay,

so they're just going to hang out there. We are going to quest. Let's go ahead and get myself

four. So, you're at 10. Ah, interesting.

If I can survive this, then I see one, two, three, four, five, six.

Yeah, that's pretty nice.

That's the 15 I need. Let's see if I can survive it.

All right,

that's me. Pass. Let's see. So, let's ready. Let's ready all of these. Fine. F. I'm just gonna leave these two up here. Set and draw. Give me something good. Gosh, the problem is if I don't remove one of your characters now,

you will win. Yeah, you will lose it. So, you have to do it.

So, I have to do it

and hope for the best,

right? Um, I am going to put gadget into play. Gadget costs four of my ink. So, gadget hack wrench over here is interesting because it says when you play this character, you may play an item with cost three or less for free. I don't have one, but your characters with the the word support get plus one lore. I don't think I have any characters with plus one. That would have been such

such a nice way to do this, but I don't think any of them have support.

Okay,

so um let's see. I'm going to quest with Goofy because whenever this character quests, if you played another character this turn, you may deal one damage to chosen character or location. Let's deal a damage to Merida.

And then I gain

quested with Yeah, with Uie. So, there's that. I definitely have to quest with B Peep.

You have to

cuz it's not that.

I'm at 10

now. I'm questing with Will of the Wisp because there's no Will of the Wisp doesn't have any uh

any strength. So, right now I'm faced with two four six. I have to abandon them all.

Mhm.

What does it say here? When when you just deal you deal one damage when I challenge.

So, who are you challenging first of all?

Well, you have a a strength of three.

Mhm. Which is technically a four

because uh when So, here I'll just turn this up. While this card is exerted, which it is.

Yeah. Uh, whenever an opposing character challenges, you may deal one damage to the challenging character.

Okay.

So, because they're exerted, if you challenge them, yeah,

you are challenging.

So, all three of these characters that I'm challenging with, they would all have been banished anyway

because they only have three. Three will power. This one only has one. So, I'm going to challenge you with Ham. So, that adds plus two.

So, three.

Challenge you with Louisa Madreal. So, another plus two. That's two.

They go to five. And then with Audrey, so that's another two.

So

So

they're all wiped.

They're all banished because again,

stronger than their willpower.

Yep. So basically, we were adding

Yeah.

You know, damage back, but then we've overcome

Merida.

Merida's willpower. My winning move

no longer valid.

That's too bad.

Ah, that's great.

But now you have one, two, three, four, five.

Yes. So, you know, I'm losing this game.

I think so. I sure hope so. Pass, maybe. Let's find out.

How could you? How dare you? Dang it. Oh, man. Am I one short? All right. Well, I'm going to draw. Hopefully, it's something good. Okay. So, it looks like we have to challenge you. I mean,

yeah. I'm four away. I have two, three, four, five. You have to just remove one of them.

So, I have five total ink. So, I'm going to put I'm going to spend two.

Oh, you have to remove two of them. You have to remove

Yeah.

Yeah. I'll figure it out. I just need to get some cards in play.

So, I'm going to spend two ink to get uh Jebidiah Farnsworth.

Oh,

this one costs two uh three strength, three willpower. It says very evasive. So, very much uh like the uh the fox.

Uh reckless. This character can't quest. As you see, there's no l to be had and must challenge each turn if able. Oh.

So, they're just going for it. They're just going to hit.

Wow.

So, there you go. That's that. Uh, the other one that I'm gonna play is gonna cost me three ink. So, now I have all five ink spent.

Okay.

And it's going to be uh Dr. Sarah Bellum.

Yes.

Okay.

Okay. So, this one is a three strength, four willpower, scientific scrutiny. When you play this character, look at the top card of your deck. Put it either uh the top or bottom of your deck.

Okay.

So, basically, I get to see what what I'm going to draw on my next turn. What I like about it, it's just an extra way to uh to potentially quest. So, let's go ahead and draw. I will put this to the bottom.

Okay,

let's just put it to the bottom.

Very nice.

Okay. Uh, okay. So, I can't just I can't just do uh quest. B Peep's got to go.

B Peep can't Yeah, B. Peep can't survive this. I will use I will use Todd to do this because Todd is evasive and you don't have evasive. So,

Todd is going to do that. So, it's going to be five strength.

Okay.

Uh and then you have

I have two strength. So, so B Peep deals two damage. Todd and now B Peep has been banished. What a shame. No Woody anyway. So, anything else?

Um, how much total do you have here? One, two, three. Oh,

do I gain two?

I'm going to gain the two.

You going to quest?

Yeah, just in case you do, you do get some funny business.

You're at 12. Anything else?

No, that's it. That's me passing.

I don't know. I don't know. This uh this is looking kind of bad for me. All right, let's ready.

Let's set let's bring them all down here now that my crew has been diminished

and draw. Unfortunately, this is not going to be enough. This card is not going to be useful.

Good.

So, should I just There's no point in me attacking you. You have really strong cards here. I can't attack any of your evasive cards because my characters none of them are evasive.

The evasive one. Yep. This is also

they're just not uh exerted so you can't even attack.

Yes, that's true. That's true. It's just this one.

And then the witch I would lose

you would lose.

Allure. Yeah.

Which would put me at 10. I only have three showing here. So

make it look respectable.

I don't even think I have enough strength to be able to banish the witch. I'm just going to quest. Quest quest.

So one, two, three. H one away. One away from nice sweep. I pass it to you.

Thank you. Let's go ahead and bring this up. This one goes here. Everyone comes down. Um, let's just draw a card for fun. And uh, we're just going to go on a triple quest.

A beautiful quest.

One, two,

three, four,

four, five.

Five. So, you're you're going all the way to 17. You almost won the regular game.

And then, um, yeah, that that that would be it. Uh, now this one technically is reckless. So, this character can't quest. They must challenge

if if able. is able to.

Yeah. What a combo.

Yeah.

Lose lose the lore.

This one is

Can't Can't touch me. This one is going to challenge you every single turn. And then you have Dr. Sarah

just ringing a

Sarah Bellum over here. Nice. Good job. You did it.

You did great in your first one.

I mean, you got 14.

I feel like there was definitely like a back and forth here. Like for this game in particular,

it felt like we were just gonna do

it felt like we were just quest quest and then at a certain point it's like wait I'm gonna stop that.

There was definitely a moment there.

Well, you pulled out B Peep and Goofy, I think it was. I got a little nervous cuz you you had a potential to score seven.

Yeah.

In one turn.

It didn't work out there. The card that I had in my hand is club door. This is an item. Welcome back, sir. If you have a character named Fat Cat in play, which I don't, you may play this card for free, but all it does is cool cats only. Your locations can't be challenged by characters with cost two or less. This would have been great in the last game

for you.

Yes, that would have been good for me. Yeah.

Or was it? Yeah, it was the last game, right? Fat Cats Club.

Um, I had Doc over here. It's like one of these nicer looking cards. Uh, this one says, um, share knowledge. When you play this character, if you have another seven dwarfs character or princess character in play, then you get to draw a card.

Oh, that's nice.

So, when while it's in play, if you can do that, then you can just keep drawing cards, which is nice. Um, and then we have some other cards. See what else we had.

What else did we have in our deck?

I think Oh, we had

Everybody knows the baby head from Toy Story. If you've seen Toy Story, this

you will know this one right here. Uh, tighten the bolts. Whenever you pay two ink or less to play a card, chosen character gets plus two strength. This

Yeah. Replacement parts during your turn. Whenever one of your other characters is banished, draw a card. That's a nice little thing.

Yeah.

Cinderella's out there. Here we go. So, we have Yeah, we have quite a few cards here. Oh, Hamish, Hubert, and Harris.

Oh, I have Hamish, Hub, and Harris as well, but in different form.

Yeah, so we have a bunch of different cards here.

I also had uh Todd. So, had I been able to get to Todd, I would have had my own evasive two Mal family members. I had Mrs. Incredible. So, when you play this character, chosen character gains challenger plus two this turn. So, plus two while challenging just like the other one. I had Pegasus. Oh,

Pegasus is evasive. Super strong, seven willpower. Only one more though. Yeah, six strength. I had Mickey Mouse. So, Mickey Mouse has long journey. This character may enter play exerted. Um, and secret path while this character is exerted whenever one of your other characters chosen opposing character gets minus two strength until the start of your next turn. So, Mickey Mouse is quite strong because also two there. So, there you go. Good job, Nib.

All right. So, we split it. Yeah.

And there you have it. Those are a few of the cards that you'll find in the new Wild Unknown set. And we each won one. So, good game.

I'll take it. Yeah. I I wanted to get that last one. I was very nervous about that. So, you were very close to get it. So, uh if you have any questions about the gameplay you saw here, feel free to leave them in the comments down below. We'll try to get back to you as soon as we can.
