hey everybody IDO here and this is flag dash designed by Kirk Denison and published by peacekeeper games this is on Kickstarter right now and it's very cool it's very much a throwback to elementary school or high school and basically what you're doing in flag dash is playing capture the flag you have two halves of the board two flags I think this was hand drilled i'm not sure but if the end meatballs are going to flag bearers like this when you're running around on the board that is awesome so that's a stretch goal hit it but basically in this game what you're going to be doing is this is a automation game where each player is playing to or through a usually two different actions for their characters so you have your you have a defender and two runners and each runner gets two actions or each player plays in action if each player plays two actions and they can decide if it's the runner or the player in a 4 player game it's 2v2 and what you're going to be doing things you're going to be telling your character going to go left or right or forward or pick up the clot pick up the flag or push and each player is putting these these actions out and then as they play they're also putting these little initiative tokens on them and these actually are fantastic I really like the dynamic this adds to the game what they are is they say one I think one through seven and initiative just works that way one goes first then
two then three and four and five etc but each one also gives an ability or bonus somewhat you play an extra action some play that action multiple times some give you energy which is bonus actions for later so you have a nice balance between TriNet go first or trying to have a really powerful move and so you know characters are going to be moving around the board stepping forward this guy goes this guy goes around the end of the block and then basically as you're working your way through lawyers can push each other which knocks them to the side and work their way to picking up the flag and knocking the flag out if they're pushed they drop the flag so um this game reminds me a lot of wizard dodgeball which was a Kickstarter last year that ultimately didn't fund it but I loved it it was you were just playing dodgeball and had this very tactical dynamic feel where you really you had moments that brought back memories of of play and this does the same thing so I hope this is very successful i like the little pieces and the components another way to win is you can steal flag from other players which is done when you're next to them and you use the flag grab ability so um it's fast it's pretty easy to explain and play I like the dynamic it is you know simultaneous resolution of you know tactical card play so I mean for some people that might not you know it's really sort of a dynamic board game it's more about running around tagging each other and that in that kind of play I worked really well with my family you
know if you're playing with young kids there's not so much strategy it's like Evan why did you run that way cuz I'm a kid that's the answer that's Evans answer to that question anyway so flag dash on Kickstarter now check it out subscribe share all that good stuff more importantly play some great games thanks bye
