Every once in a great while, something unique comes across this table. Where, you know, I don't expect I don't expect what I'm getting to be what it is, and I'll be honest with you. Um this came across, uh I didn't have a a lot of expectations for it, but I always try to help people, but I'm going to tell you right now.
You are going to want to fund this, okay? Because this may be my game of the year because of how unique, how imaginative, and how much fun this is. I mean, fun. And that's what games are all about. Uh Boken will be coming to uh uh crowdfunding very, very, very soon. But, I'm going to tell you from the prototype and how this works, boy, we got a beauty here. I'm not going to explain everything. We're going to go down to the table. We're going to take a look at it. But, I think you're going to want to get and back this. Cuz this is special.
So, this is your basic setup. You're actually going to have two characters, brother and sister, okay? Uh as you can see, here's the sister, but I'm going to show you what's going on with the brother here, okay? Um Uh look, [clears throat] the tokens don't come off. It's all magnetic, which is incredible. So, as you move these things through, these are all magnetic pieces. So, they don't go flying. Just just incredible. This map doesn't look like much, but there is a lot going on here. So, you're going to take your character and if you're playing with the two characters, what's going to happen is the other character is going to be on there, but it this one the one that's always moving is in the front. You can use an exploration card to either move whether you're by horse or by foot. Okay, and then you have your initiative roles and stuff like that or you can roll the dice and and go through things. As you go through here, when you stop, you're going to fight certain things. Like for instance, if I stop on this plane, you're going to pull this card and you're going to turn it around and then you're going to roll two dice to see which two dudes you're going to fight.
Okay, and I'll put this over here so you can see it. So, your card will go here. Okay, and you roll two dice for instance. A four. Which means we'll see him. And a five. Which will be him. So, you block this guy out. Okay. And then you would fight against him. If you defeat him, you are going to get a certain amount of XP and possibly abilities. He has six hit points. He moves four. You are going to roll these dice. Now, these dice are specialized because they are in tune with your weapon. So, for instance, I'm going to roll this dice and it is going to be this one mark here. We're going to go and see this mark. And that's how much damage we are going to do. We're going to do three damage. Okay.
We would take it off. We would track it on the damage track here. and then when you defeat, you would get a certain amount of gold, which you would apply here and XP. Really, really neat little system how this all all works. There are bosses and all kinds of different things that you're going to run into. The other part I want to show you is when you go to one of these build Now, for the mountains, the forest, there's all different cards. So, there's all different types of people that you were going to be facing against and trying to level up against. And you're going to see there's dungeons and things that you're going to be going through. There's at least 30 hours of content here, which is amazing. But say for instance, you end up going and making it to a town.
All right, pretty cool, right? Well, hold on there, my dear friends. Okay? Because now you travel in the town. And what are you talking about, Rob? You are going to put the town right here. And then you have these other magnets here. Oh, here they are. Just to to sink it into the the table here. And then you take your your icon and you move through town. Okay? And you're going to interact with Well, there's a boutique. There's an inn, which you can recharge yourself for if you want to go into as you are moving around here.
You can go into You want to interact with some of these people cuz they're going to give you quests and things like that. Well, that's where all these cards over here are going to come into play. There is so much going on here, and it is so unique and so fantastic. I love this part. You go on this little part of the map, and then once you leave, you take this card away, and there's your figure right there. For instance, if we went into this little cave here, what what I want to know what what happens there. Well, boom. Uh-oh, there's all kinds of dudes here and that ain't cool. All right, so now you're going to you're going to put down your things and lock it down and you are going to navigate inside here and try to get treasure chests, battle talk to this guy. There are certain things that are going to happen in here.
You're going to pull the cards from here, which is not going to be fun because there's going to be something bad in there, I'm sure that you're going to have to deal with. All these different types of things as you go around these little areas and it's it's so compact yet so full of game. It is the one of the most amazing things I've ever seen and so well thought out. Uh I love it. It has this JR you know, Japanese RPG feel to it. The art is beautiful. I like the gameplay. It's very smooth. The rule book is very well written.
Okay? Uh you're going to be using different skills because you're going to start with certain skills and things like that. Um you know, I'm just giving you a brief overview, but there's quests, there's side quests, there's a main quest. Uh there is a lot going on and I would love to see them just keep going with this and going with this because this is something really really amazing and special. Okay? Um there's a way to save your game. Okay? Uh when you beat a sub boss, you gain points, okay? Which varies depending on the on the hero's level. The lower the hero's level, the more points you're going to receive. So, you go after some of these major bosses. Uh you it it it it really is a fascinating and wonderful system. This is so well-thought-out that I'm I I want to see more boards of this. I want to see more creatures. I want to see more of everything of this. And I believe this is just a prototype, and this is coming to crowdfunding. This is a must.
A must-have. If you love dungeon crawls, if you love to keep things nice and condensed, all right, and nice and tight, and everything in front of you, uh and and not take up a ton of a table space. There is not a lot of setup to this. It's boom boom boom, let's get going. And it is amazing for what it does. It really is. And this can easily be my game of the year. Easily, because and and it's not even out yet. So, who knows what they're going to add to this? But, you're going to want to keep an eye on crowdfunding. The more I hear about this, the more I talk about this, uh there'll be more videos about this.
Um you're going to want to get behind this, because this, in my opinion, is something very very very special. You don't have to use the exploration cards, you can use uh dice if you wanted to do your movement. There's so many different things that you can do here, and it really is amazing. Uh a ton of story, a ton of items, uh just talents, just everything that you could possibly want in an RPG condensed, done smart, ease of learning, um and and just an absolute beautiful masterpiece, which I highly suggest.
Whoever thought of this is, you know, should should be up for an award or something because that's how I'm blown away and how dense this map is and how much there is to do on it. It doesn't look like there's a lot to do, but trying to get to point A and point B without, you know, without getting beat on is not as easy as you think. And then when you get in those certain areas, the things that happen to you just unbelievable. Let's go up top and get my final thoughts on this masterpiece. So, when I originally opened up that box, I went, "Okay, it must be like just one mission. Um that's about it. You know, this is maybe there's going to be more to this because there wasn't a lot in the box and it was just kind kind of open this up, open this up, put this down, this down, and start."
And I went, "Mhm, okay. All right." And then I started playing this. And then the depth. And then how much there is to it. Uh I haven't even scratched the surface of this, but I will tell you this much. This is about as good as it gets. I don't know if it gets any better than this. Um this is just fantastic. I love the art on it. I love the condensedness, but I love the depth. And that's they've given you a ton of game. This can easily replace um a a um a Kickstarter that has like 17 boxes that you paid like 900 bucks for.
Okay? That's how good this is and how clean and condensed it is. It is a masterpiece. There is no doubt in my heart that it is. And I'm telling you, it's coming to Gamefound. Boken, you want to check this out. This is just wonderful. And I'm going to tell you right now. Um I'm probably going to do a couple more videos. Only I'm going to do a little bit of play-through because of the condensedness and how well this will play and how much fun we will have going through this. So, uh get ready for that.
