Meeple Vacation: Water Park Playthru

Hello, hello, and welcome to the play through show. I'm Hannah. I'm Melissa. And I'm Will. And tonight we have a sponsored play through from Play to C Games. We are playing Meeple Vacation Waterpark. So, this is a one to four player worker placement game. However, there's no working going on today. We are on vacation. We are in the fantastic waterpark with all kinds of exciting things going on. This is a prototype copy of the game. You can find it on Kickstarter right now. I'm sure we'll get the link to that sometime in the chat. But, Melissa is going to give us a quick overview of the game and then we're going to jump in and show you how it's played. Well, do you think we should just start by rolling the meeples and talking about what's happening?

So, watch with us. I I am I'm the first player and the first thing we do is roll our meeples down this giant water slide. And then, based on how they land, they're going to go on my worker placement board. So, I have a guy who's standing. I have a guy who's doing a headstand. Oop, I think he Yeah, you got at least one planker. Here's the planker. The rest of them are flopped. I can reroll as many of these as I want one additional time. So, I'm going to do that. Going to do it, Will.
two more. I have another headstand and another plank and then two floppers. The way that the meeples are standing are going to determine the places they can go on the board. So, kind of maybe their strength as If workers just isn't the right
How much fun they're going to have. Their wild playfulness. Their energy level. Uh but, before we actually go into that fun placement uh phase, each of the other players are going to roll their meeples. I love how you're rolling them and you're getting like guys
it gives it a better chance of coming out
the exact way that they want to.
of planking going on. I don't know if you can see my side board over here. Uh and then lots of floppers, but let's do them one more time. They need a little extra love. And we got we got one more leaner. Uh headstand and a lot lots of planks, a couple flops. All right. So, that will be my options for where I'm going to place my workers. I will also take

vacationers, your fun family.

Headstand. I don't know these. And the four floppers, which is the funnest word ever cuz I am the floppins. That is my family name. And they be floppin.
And they be the floppins do floppin. They lived up to their family name. Okay. All right. So, now we count up how many flopped meeples there actually are among all of us. 4 5 6 7 8. And Hannah's going to
adjust the plunge bump. Which is now at Did you want to show it? Or over the head or we should we show it? Show it or show it. That is now where the the plunge bump is at eight points. Yes, it's prototype. Yes, prototype. I think
That is going to determine scoring for one of the areas where we can go have fun at our waterpark. We'll explain that when we go there. So, we have finished the opening activities going down the slide. Now, it is actually going to be Melissa's turn and she has a plethora of opportunity in front of her. First, Hannah does have the most floppers, so she gets the lifeguard giant meeple and you will assign it to one of your sections. Do whatever you want. But, when you take a turn, you have to take all of the meeples from that section and then place them. Place them into those areas. Since I have no planks, I will plank my lifeguard. Okay. Uh Will, I cannot see the log flume over on the left side.
What are our options over there?
are We've got basically it's a wild one this time around. We've got one We would need three riders on this log and everybody's going to score two points and it's any position you want to be in, actually. Okay. So, you can load it up however you would like. Could put anyone there. Um What's your favorite spot, Will? It's fun one, for sure. I'm going to go with my

what's happening? What is I I This is tough. All right. While Will's picking of his favorite vacation spot, I'm going to take my floppers. [clears throat]
to Michigan, okay. I'm going to take my floppers and they're going to go down cannonball bounce. So, basically I'm going to roll them down this water slide again try to get them into points position. They did not get into points position, but because they are no longer flopped, I can actually take them and put them onto my board in that position and they are both uh head standers. So, I have a whole bunch of headstand people. That was my turn. So, if they had flopped, they would do other things. I'm having too much fun commenting on my favorite activities. Okay. We'll talk about it in a while. It's your time, Will.
even list on there Cedar Point, which is my favorite theme park. Which has an amazing waterpark with it as well. But, what is your favorite coaster? That's the problem. Ooh, it's the Millennium Force. It's still the best. That is That is the correct answer. Good job.
We We didn't know. All right. Uh you can see my board right here. I've also got a couple of cards at the very beginning of the game we were dealt a couple of different cards that are This one is public knowledge. These are arcade games we can play throughout the course of the game and I think I'm actually going to just head Nope. What a What a raw deal.
So, the card that Will wants is in the slot that you can only gain if you have a standing meeple and what is the one type of meeple that Will does not have?
Correct. Maybe your floppers will stand. Yeah, maybe we'll get Oh, yeah, let's head there, actually. That's a great idea. So, we're going to do a little cannonball plunge and bounce.
Yeah, that's the way to go. You can't really beat that option.
I do think it's a good way to start.
Yeah. Put your guys to good use. There we go. Not standing, but at least leaning.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. This is just an opportunity to reorient myself. If Uh this guy's still flopped, though. If you This is not for cannonball plunge. It's for something else. Oh, I thought this is cannonball bounce. Score points for landing. Oh, yeah. If you landed in the rings. Which I think I did. Anybody rewind that? What do we got? You were right around here. So, should we give him three? Do you think it was three or one? Three is even better. We'll start with three and then let Jeff clarify as he rewinds for us.

My points are only if you're the first to get three submarines. Did you bounce anywhere? I was not in the ring. This guy's still flopped. Oh, does he go to the river? Return to the waiting board. Cannonball bounce. We know how to play this game. Don't worry. Um Yeah, so cannonball So, you are either going to go to the lazy river or to the changing room. What do those things do, Will? So, the changing room gives me the opportunity to actually rest here for the round and then at the start of the next round I get to put him in whatever position I want. I can change him to a standing meeple. If I go to the lazy river, whoever has the most meeples down here in the river at the end of the round will get another one of these cards, which are worth points and sometimes have powers. So, I'm actually going to head there in hopes to have the most at the bottom of the river.
I am going to Since I have four floppers, I'm definitely doing the same thing. Three points? Yeah! Thanks, Jeff. Was it Jeff? No. No. I got eight points.
But, look. I stand again. A point for Hannah. She has a stander.

Oh, how? How? I'm I'm actually going to put one of my plankers on the slide, which gives me one point now, and then we're going to have fun at the slide at the end of the round.
It's good good end round action option. I've got a one leaner. Let's go ahead and get one more now.
That's really funny. Uh headstand. I could claim a card. One point for each different price type. That seems pretty reasonable. Uh but I do feel like this boat is going to get its day on the sunshine, so I'm actually just going to jump up here. There's one more one more Yeah, I just have one.
Okay. I got a big turn coming up. I was also going to do that. So show me show us what happens when we go over there.

As we fill up this boat, it will travel along the river and it will actually score multiplier points the further along we get. The next one is What's the next

Yeah, I think black does have four. Um and Hannah bought another card that was worth two. So that Hannah's at five? Yeah. I Yeah. All right, I'm going to come over here and I'm going to take a shark plushy. Then I have three more headstand guys. I Sorry. I'm going to push Hannah out of the plunge.

Not not for the plunge. Yeah, after the plunge you have two options. You can either go to the lazy river or you can go to the changing room. It's the cannonball um the one where you drop the the lazy [clears throat] ones, the floppers that you can reuse it.
All right, I have got five plankers that I got to figure out what to do with. Uh man, I was really hoping that we were going to get another alligator. I would love to collect on this card over here, but just not in the right spot. Um but let's go ahead and try to get a
a pirate hat, uh which is going to give me three points immediately. One, two, three. Uh I'll add that to my stash, so I'm halfway to getting two more points off of them.
Oh, so you need a shark plushy and a ruled question. If someone gets bumped off the plunge. Mhm. And Uh I'm going to head to here as well, but somebody else maybe bump me and plump me. If I

Then I will come over here and I will take another rainbow meeple. It's my third rainbow meepsicle, which is another two points for me. Very nice. For white? All right, that does it for Cuz all of our meeples have been finished off for the activities. Oh, and immediates. Yes, please. I'm white. How about we do my personality? One, two.
I thought it was you. I thought I was catching up with you. Maybe you were way ahead, I guess. I don't know. Oh, you got 10 points for your plunge. Okay. All right, so we have finished our activities for the day. It's time to go home for the night. We are going to finish up We're going to go right to left on the board. So, we do have a little slip and slide action that we need to finish out the day with. We've been We're at the top of the line. They're like, "The park is now closed." And then you can't walk down the ladder. You got to go down the slide. So, uh it looks like two of mine and two of Melissa's are going to go down the slide. And then neutral bot person. I will shake them and I will drop them. All right, so I do think one of those orange ones is yours.
So, the most flopped meeples we both have two. Ties are friendly. Three points each. Thank you. That was very kind. Non-flopped, none. Farthest meeple, orange for five. Most competitors. Again, we tied. So, we each get a card. Get a card. Take it. Here's what I got. Do you want to see? This is not an ability, but it is some nice little end game action right there. I will say I have flopped floppins is living up to their names.
All right, we do need to keep going across the board. We've got a couple here that you guys are going to take back as wild. It looks like Hannah does have more in the Lazy River. So, you're going to get a photo of activities for the day. We're going to get some more points up here. So, we got seven for black. Somebody got a bunch left behind. 14 for orange. So, 18 plus 14 is 1 2 3 4 32. On our logs over here, we did get to our two times multiplier. So, two is going to get Yeah, everybody's two. So, orange is going to get four. Black is going to get four. And white is going to get four. 1 2 3 I can't reach myself down there. Can you get my lonely little guy? We'll try to catch you up.
And then on our one time multiplier boat, we've got two points to four four total points for white as well. And we have wiped the board. So, we're ready for the next day. This guy will come up here and we can And go to day two. We can move to day two. So, we're going to slide the sun over to round two. We each get one more family member. I don't know what was happening with our weekend activities, but somehow Aunt Susan heard how much fun we were having and then had to join on the family fun. That's what I'm saying.
[snorts]
And then I think we're ready to start the festivities again. You want to go down the cannonball bounce all together in one big line? Like immediately? How will we be able to keep track of what got Like we came out.
I feel like this is where we go down the inner tubes connected. Like that's what this this part is. I got Man, I'm killing it sideways. Yeah, I don't know how all of them I got one guy standing this time. You stand. You can finally get your crocodile. All right, maybe if it's still there. I guess I'm the first player. You rolled that one. You didn't leave the slide. You got to reroll that one. There we go. You just [clears throat] want me to flop. I see. All right, very good. I don't know if she's standing. I stood twice. I stood twice and I headstand and a plank. And what is that other one? Head. I've never been to Epcot Center just as a sad like lack of Disney.
It was Charlie's, my husband's, least favorite park until I Another standy. Just letting you know.
And then we we went on our honeymoon and I converted him into also loving I had a lot of fun. You get to go around the world in one day. It's fantastic. It does seem like a cool experience idea.
Haven't been able to pull it off. And I think Epcot is probably more of an adult park. And there's this really cool ride called Guardians of the Galaxy where you're in the dark and it was one of the most intense roller coasters. I went on it with my 70-year-old mother this past summer and it was utterly fantastic. You go backwards in the dark with music blaring in your face. 80s rock music It's amazing. It's so good. My favorite ride as a kid was at Islands of Adventure, which is like Universal Studios. And they had a Spider-Man ride where they're like They like shoot webs at you and you feel like your whole It's crazy. It's really cool. My entire We went for my senior trip to Universal. Okay. I want to tell My entire senior class fit in one car on the Spider-Man ride. We need to do all of our beginning of round stuff still.
Well, all of our Sorry. Beginning of round What is there? Oh, count how many flopped. 1 2 3 4 5 6. So, we add together. Another six? Or does it go down? It restarts. Okay, we're down to six points this time. So, not as much if you get pushed off the plunge. And I have three So, you are going to get a lifeguard. So, I get a lifeguard which I need to determine now. Oh, we also have to determine our wild one now, right? Yeah, but I didn't get any wild. Melissa and I had wilds. I get Do I do I made mine last round? Under. Do I do four? No, I'll just spread them all out. So, like do I do four standies? Just to really throw you off. Melissa's crushing some points. Got to figure out how to come back from this. And if I get that, it is five It's one point immediately, but I actually think now that I had time to think about my decisions, I'm going to jump on the front of this log.
It's three point spot, so it's a little more valuable especially if I can get it pushed around the the river. I like that we got a leaner or a headstand walking down the slide. That whatever the sideways guy. Was he planker? He's a planker. A test [snorts] log not even accidentally shuffled in. Uh that's going to launch immediately and empty. So, nobody has to ride that one. There is Did you get lucky? All right, so now we just need headstand guy to be able to launch a second time. Faster than me. We can't go too far, right? Or we get pushed off. If you go It's not terrible. You only get You don't get the multiplier. You do get a card plus whatever the points were. If she gets it right far enough. Is it two points for the headstand?
Do I even want headstand right now? Three of them. Right. I mean you Usually you want to kind of save that green standing guy till last cuz you can kind of get some high guaranteed points stuff, but I'll go on the boat. Yeah.
I hope that I can push you guys off again. But no one's going to be helping me. Nope, not anymore. We are done now. Is that three spots? Three. So, we need a leaner or a flopper. And it might be a good place to drop a flopper. I probably should have done my floppers first. Oh, well. Whose turn is it now? Oh, you're still going. I'm going to go with the their head guy on there. He's Yep. This is a three point one. So, it's a little more valuable. I'm going to and take a shark plushy. She's got two of the sharks. Sharks plushies. I would like them to be real. I would like the shark plushies to be real. There might be like I don't know what else is on my Kickstarter page. There could be plush sharks. There could be Sharky McSharkface. I am going to take my floppers. I'm going to send them down the cannonball bounce.
And they still flipping. They still bounce. So, they're going to just come back to me as No, wait. No points. They go to either the tall Hannah went heavy on that river last time. All right, I'm still thinking about my favorite theme park. I do like She has so many decisions. Hollywood Studios or whatever it's called now. I I don't know either. The Terminator ride. The I also like some of the Universal ones with the Harry Potter world and stuff. Okay, where am I going now? What am I doing? I am not doing Let's see here. I will Let's Okay, where am I going? I will come get my fourth rainbow meeple.
Four. I I'm trying to get two more. And then with my two points for white. Yeah, two points for white. Oh, there I am. I'm almost What happens in the What happens in the slide? You know, that is that is typical. What am I doing? Whatever you land at is where you get points. I will take This was Let's see here. Do I want to try I think I'm going to try this thing cuz I didn't get to do this last time. So, I get another point right in the middle. I got TO RUN AWAY.
YOU GOT TO RUN AWAY. SOMEBODY RUN DOWN THAT SLIDE. LET'S GO. All right, I'm going to use my floppers. I'm going to put one on that boat that's sitting up there on the log flume. And then I'm going to put two down the cannonball bounce. Hannah's at 18 points. Wee. Flops. They are both flops and not Oh, actually this was supposed to be Do we care? We we can redo. We redo. Not that Not that they can close. Not that they hit it
at all. Oh, but that's okay. We'll let you do it. Living floppers.

Let's see. I'm going to put one. Did Did I need to refill that before your turn? Our definitions are There's the other another one. So many. Will's turn. Okay, I've got a million again of these side guys. If I put it on here, this boat would launch which would push me out of the river. Don't love that idea. She's probably going to do it anyway cuz she's only got one. So, do I get on the boat? Take three points. I feel like I do.
She's definitely not not doing it. All right, so this guy these guys come off. We are going to score whatever our point values are on. So, three for black, two for white. Two? Did you just go home?

So, we'll send the test log around. And then we've got another log revealed. Oh, wow, look at that. A flopper or a green guy. And it's only a single boat per person. So, that's a bummer that it's not here cuz that would be great. I would have loved to jump on that log. Uh I will go Uh what am I on yellow. I'll jump up here. I will come over. Now I need a shark. If I got two of the submarines, I'd actually be ahead of Melissa. Let's do it.
So, I'll take both of those guys.

And I don't get any immediate points, but hopefully I can get that third one sooner or later. And with my last one, I will come over to the slide as well and get one point. 28 four. There is it. I should read I should read the powers better. I am definitely jumping onto my own log flume over there with my standing guy. Standing is acceptable.

shark plushy The Mummy ride at Universal Studios, I forget which of the parks. I go on it with my dad. And my dad has prescription glasses, the type that transition sunglasses, all that sort of thing. So, he is wearing them on this roller coaster and it's pitch black, things are, you know, flames, all of this mummy heads, and I feel something kind of hit me in the face and I grab it.
And it's my dad's glasses. He is freaking out cuz these are very expensive prescription glasses and I'm trying to say, "I have your glasses." But it's so loud and everything that he can't hear me as I'm like clutching these to make sure they don't end up in the Just be So, I saved my dad's glasses

Now, I will say my mother's one of the funnest people to ride roller coasters with. will scream the entire time with you. And we went I Dollywood, there is one ride where you are going straight up for about a good minute and I told her a lot that that was what was going to happen.
Uh she did not believe me and then screamed and made the entire train car laugh with us the entire time. Do you have your second second Do you have your second
