Description

The land you live in has been at war for as long as any of you have been alive.
The Queen has decided to undertake a long and perilous journey to broker an alliance with a distant power.
The Queen has chosen you, and only you, to be her retinue, and accompany her on this journey.
She chose you because she knows that you love her.

For the Queen is a card-based story-building game that you and up to five other players can begin playing in minutes. Choose your queen from among fourteen gorgeously varied illustrations—or start from scratch—and use the prompt cards to collaboratively tell a story of love, betrayal, doubt, and devotion.

Quotes (from this video)
  • Our Hope at plus one exp much like at quackalope is to help amazing designers connect with amazing players and amazing players connect with amazing designers
  • It's a ritual of play for this game specifically
  • The queen constantly ignores the detailed work I put into both my presentation of myself to her and her presentation to the world
  • The first time she hurt me was having me
  • It's a very kind of passive interaction that has become part of the way that we regularly interact with each other
  • The queen trusts you but no one else in the Royal Court does
  • I feel like I'm in charge well the answer would be twofold
  • The queen has some dietary restrictions that again you know we don't let out into the into the world but if that had been overlooked if if the food that had been prepared had been served it could have been a very bad time for the kingdom
  • I offer to sell the boat to the nearest land and get help but so that everyone knows I'm representing the queen I need her Signet ring and I leave everyone in the boat and do not come back with help
  • It's a super fun flexible little thing and again all you have to do is start answering questions and then it just slowly starts to unfold
