Description

Three days after the disappearance of Ichabod Crane, four Tarrytown residents with strange ties to the supernatural venture into an ever-darkening Sleepy Hollow to uncover its mysteries.

In Legends of Sleepy Hollow, players take on the roles of the four residents — undertaker Jeremiah Pincke, Revolutionary War veteran Matthias Geroux, minister Elijah Kappel, and tanner Emily Van Winkle — in a cooperative, miniatures-based campaign game full of secrets and twists. During the game, players will use an action pool to move about, investigate, interact with their environment, or unleash powerful attacks and abilities unique to each character. Once selected, however, these abilities will be unavailable until that character’s action pool has emptied — a process that becomes more complex as that character gains fear.

The players will have to work closely together to overcome their fear, unravel the mysteries of the glen, and become true Legends of Sleepy Hollow.

Quotes (from this video)
  • This is a dueling a two-player dueling game of wizards or really I guess it's not really of wizards just of one of these ones of wizards this one yeah this one was a fire mage and a time age or something I really like this these kinds of games and this one was very quick pace strategic a lot of awesome card play has a pretty unique system on how you like can counter people and and and stall them out but also you're doing really cool combos
  • I was worried about Kapow because I had just played Hour of Need and they kind of felt like they came around the same time and it's like really just generic these generic stupid superhero games that has no it felt like they just have no substance
  • but I was pleasantly surprised with Kapow because it's a dice game it's a dice crafting game as well so you have your static dice just different color types with different symbols but you also have action dice that you customize as the game goes on and that was pretty interesting
  • Heat Pedal to the Metal um they told me that comes out in october and it's it's a pretty good racing game i i enjoyed it quite a bit
  • but what's interesting is that you want to manage the the heat of your engine and the more risky you are the more engine heat cards go into your deck and they basically just clog up your deck and also cause a lot of hazard cards if you don't have ways like if you become if you you know try and bank around a corner at too high of a speed and you heat up your engine and you run out of those engine cars you burn out and you actually don't even make it around the corner but you also take a bunch of hazard cards and these just clog up your hand
  • It is if you played Stuff Fables it's probably the next game to play like with your family it's it is a little bit more complex and Stuff Fables but there's and it's but the the storytelling is in that same era like of your you're a bunch of familiars that are taking care of a baby
  • and I gotta say the app for it because there is an app that's the the voice acting and the sound effects are top-notch like it's it competes up there with some Foreteller narration it's really good
  • I also played quirky circuits that's also by plaid hat games uh that one's very fun a slight non-verbal programming where you're trying to just either clean up dust bunnies with a cat on the roomba or pick up oh i don't remember what the the penguin has to pick up but it's very it's very nice like everyone's working together to try and make a sequence of cards of how the cat or the penguin that's gonna move
  • it's funny on the roomba because roomba's just working like that because they suck uh where it's like turns around and then you thought they were going to move forward so it turns around so you bump into the wall the roomba turns left and then they they turn it left again and so then it moves forward then it moves back it's adorable very fun
  • I did do a I checked Aristeia again that one is one I I will probably get I really like the skirmish style games with a bunch of characters
  • Oswar was fantastic awesome looking you know boss battle unique you really unique combat system because it's a push your luck you can roll as many deaths or draw as many cards they had both that was very very cool
  • so that's kind of how they do it it's a very unique system i haven't seen it anywhere else that's definitely something that's that oh sworn has going for it
  • and they also oh sword has miniatures that actually pop in and out of like armor and weapons so i think that's fantastic

Quotes (from this video)
  • Seventh continent is one of those games that came out that was wildly successful widely popular and they came out with a second Kickstarter to be able to provide more of that content and I definitely jumped in on that it's actually the first Kickstarter game I went all-in on because I just know I'm gonna like that that sense of just open-world exploration figuring out you know okay you know card craft and game card exploring explicitly I don't know I was trying to stay there and just kind of being dropped into a world and it's like have fun figure it out just seems like a be right up my alley
  • detective City of Angels uses uses the innovative arc adaptive response card system to create the feel of interrogating a suspect Suspects do not simply give paragraph book responses Instead the chisel carefully chooses how they will answer
  • hate is a highly kinetic endless brutal campaign game a post-apocalyptic survival up to six players battle through a multi game chronicle where they use their unique plan to savagely plunder mutilate and demoralize their opponents
  • legacy games are amazing like you get an absolutely can't play the game okay first of all no one plays like not not no one but a lot of people don't play these games over and over and over and over at work so you're gonna get paid to make legacy those you're gonna get 12 to 20 games from a $6 price point
  • Rising Sun also on Kickstarter it is basically blood rage but feudal Japan and me personally I love feudal Japan in that kind of world more than the like Vikings so no road bike comes are cool and blood rage is an amazing game it's in my top 10 games of all time and Rising Sun is just that but with yeah it's I it's not just that but it adds these amazing a yokai that you can use
