Description

The deck has 49 cards with a single letter, one card which can stand for any one of J, K, Q, X or Z, and two wild cards that can stand for any letter. The initial tableau for the game is:

11 cards face up across the top
6 cards each placed on 6 of the top row, alternately face down and face up
5 remaining cards face up as the surplus

A play is to make a words starting with one of the uncovered top row cards, using cards that are face up and uncovered (from the surplus and column ends), or from the ends of existing words. As cards are exposed they are turned face up, and can be move to the surplus (up to a maximum of 7 cards there).

The object is to have a word starting with each letter of the top row, and all letters used. For the beginning game, the 11 cards with underlined letters are used for the top row. For a more difficult game, the starting row is dealt randomly; for even more difficult, only 10 cards are in the top row.
