Hello. So, today I want to tell you about the game Vanity Plates from 25th Century Games. And I think I've covered so many of their games at this point that now they're just nice enough to send them to me. So, this was a copy that was provided to me. And I really do love their games. Part of games for me are hit or miss, but this one is a hit. I like when there's clever word play. I like when I don't have to stand up and do something ridiculous, and I like that it's very easy to get people into it and that it plays quickly. So, this game is played over three rounds and you are basically trying to make vanity plates with some criteria. And I love trying to guess vanity plates on the road. Sometimes I'll even take a picture, send it to a friend and be like, "What does this say?" Or they'll do the same for me. So, everyone is going to get a license plate. This game plays three to eight players. There is no Idaho plate, which is where I live, and that is disappointing, but oh well. You are then going to get a requirement card which is going to tell you what you must use in your plate because in these plates you can use a maximum of eight numbers or letters. You may use no vowels, no spaces, no dashes. So you have to fit that criteria and the criteria is on the plate so that you'll remember. And then you're going to get a category which these are the owner cards. So, I'm going to get mine and I'm going to decide how I'm going to fit this category. And I can't use any part of the word in my category on my plate. And I need to use my requirements in order to be able to score. And I also want people to be able

to guess it because if they can't guess it, that doesn't help me. So, I come up with my idea, I write it down, and then I put my owner card in the center. and everyone else does the same thing at the same time. Another thing I love, simultaneous play. We're not sitting around twiddling our thumbs waiting each round for someone to write their stuff. We're doing that all at the same time. So, everybody's putting their cards in. You know, let's say we're playing a three-player game, so there's three cards in there, but this is really a game that's better at more players. You then take six cards and add them to whatever your player number is. You mix them all up and then you're going to decide who is the first player and you are going to put all of these categories out there. So, we now have right now nine cards out there and I'm going to reveal my plate. So, I used no vowels. I did not use more than eight characters and I used all capital letters. So, you have to figure out what this says and then which category it fits. Does it fit veterinarian, birder, pirate, I'm having to read upside down, extrovert, Batman, princess, the park theme park character, not the park, theme park character, plumber, or banker. And I wrote deposit or that's what I thought I wrote. So then people have to decide. And the first person who guesses correctly, and

you only get one guess. So, if they say banker and they're correct, they get this card as a point in their pile and I reveal my requirements and I had to use T, D, and three, which I did. So, that is one point to me. The next person with these same cards would now reveal their plate. And we do the same thing. Whoever guesses correctly gets that card as a point. And if they met their requirements, they get their card. If you don't meet your requirements, you just can't get a point for that. But you can still get points for guessing other people's things. Each card you get is a point. We do this three times or until people are sick of it. You can do more rounds, you can do fewer rounds, and then whoever has the most points wins. So, I like this because again, clever word play, simultaneous play, and we're all guessing. So, the setup time of doing the game is very quick. It's snappy. It keeps moving. So, that is vanity plates. It may be a little bit hard to look up to purchase because you do need to type it in like this, but it is a fun party game from 25th Century Games. Let me know if you've played it, what you think of it. Give me a like and a follow, and I'll keep bringing you more board game content. Thanks. Bye.
