Hello ladies and gentlemen and welcome to the discriminating gamer. So why did the king go to the dentist? To get his teeth crowned. Today we're taking a look at Junk Art Revolution by Ludo Nova. Now this is a dexterity game for I think believe it's two to six players. All right. And this here is also the revised edition. So it's going to have new cities um or new city cards. It's going to have a new scoring system and everything else. new wooden pieces and it just looks very fascinating. So, if you're into, you know, uh, dexterity type games and everything, this is probably going to be right down your wheelhouse. So, I tell you what, let's go down to the table. Let's open this one up and let's see what's on the inside.

All right, folks. Here we go. This is Junk Art Revolution. Now, this looks like it is by Jay Cormier and Sinfang Lim. I hope I got that name right. Illustrations by Eric Hibeller. Now, and I will say the illustrations in this look are good. I love this artwork. Absolutely amazing. This is really, really cool. And we'll take a look at the backside. So, what are we going to get? Junk Art Revolution. Now, I know this is the revised edition. So, it has uh wooden pieces, new cities, and a new scoring system. But you're going to play card. You're going to place the corresponding piece. And will your structure be the most impressive? I don't know. Well, it are you that good of a builder? You know, I have a contractor friend of mine that I game with. So, how well does he do with this game? I don't know. H I can't wait to find out, though. All right, Junk Art Revolution. So, now I have seen this game in the past. Um, it has looked pretty cool. Oh, but the one thing, you know what? I'm going to look at something really fast. Is it on the side of the box? It is on the side of the box. I didn't look at this. I didn't see it. Two to six players, eight plus.

You're looking about 30 minutes to play the game. Okay. So, it's not not going to be a super long game. Also, it is by Luna Nova. I know I mentioned this early on um the beginning part, but um I try to I get excited sometimes. I just want to get these boxes open up that I sometimes forget to talk about the stuff I want to talk about. But anyways, here we go. Junk Art Revolution. It's time to leave your studio and show your creations to the world. Embark on a world tour and achieve fame in the name of Junk Art. Now, we have a about a 12page rule book. Let's get this box out of the way so we can get this down on the table. We maybe see just a little bit more. All right. Have all of our components that we're going to have. Here's playing your game. You know, your the next city once you build one, your end of your exhibition.

Okay. Um and then we got Amsterdam. So yeah, you're just kind of traveling around to these different cities to do things. That's kind of what it looks like to me. So each city you're going to have a setup. You're going to have a game turn and do different things. So that's kind of cool. I like that. like two to six players. Two to six players. So each city's got something a little bit different with it. Very nice. Now Pisa looks like three to six players for this city. Okay. And there you go. And that's the rule book. And we have the rule book in well another language. Okay. I don't know. I don't know what the other language is. Was it German? I don't know. H Yeah. I have no clue. All right. So these look like they're going to be like your scoring markers, little fame points you're going to get or whatever it's going to be.

All right. Need definitely need those. Now, this is where the meat of the game is going to come into play. So, we have Oh, wow. We have a little tape measure. Okay. I'm not going to pull this one out, but this looks like it's a pretty decent size tape measure. Okay. Feels pretty good. It's kind of a plasticky a little bit, but all of these components we're going to take a look at, and I'm probably not going to put them back in their bag, but we're going to have all these big chunky wooden blocks because after all, this is a dexterity game. Okay, so these are all just gonna we're just going to drop those right into there. Good place for them. And we'll put a gel pack in there because there's a lot of wood components in here. [snorts] These ones I'll probably put back in the bag now because I'm going to pull this out of the way because this we just kind of want to spread them out and we want to take just a little look at what we have because this is what we're going to have. We're going to have some really cool, unique, interesting little things because we have to build different things. You know, put a ball on whatever it's going to be or if this is upside down or however you want to do things. Oh, the ball's got a flat piece on the bottom.

But yeah, this it looks really fascinating. Little tiny dumbbell, little donut. Okay. Really cool looking stuff in here. I do like, you know, because different pieces are going to go in different things. So, and that's the one thing about this game is all the different pieces and how are you going to make all these different pieces work together. Okay, get all this in here. Get all this in here. Okay, that is one bag that we looked at. And I'm hoping there's like a little hole in this bag so that the air automatically comes out. But let's put So Oh, we're gonna get another bag probably for these cards right there. Okay, let's Oh, man. We got a bunch of different colors. Now, you know what? I am not going to take these out because that's exactly what it is. We have four different colors. Each player is going to have their own color.

Ah, this is my color right there. I love that color. Okay, each player is gonna have their own color and that's how they're going to play. And the cool thing is, look at that, man. They even got a little junk art down in the bottom of that. Very nice. Okay, put these back in here. Put that back in there like that. Try to get them flat. Yeah, they actually went really, really flat. I like it. I'm impressed. And we'll put that back in there cuz Cody may want it for those little black discs. But they work really good right there. Now, let's take a look at the cards are going to come in this game. All right. And this is our this is the cards that we're going to be drawing. All right. In order to figure out what you're going to build and I am going to kind of separate these by types. Okay. And then this stack I'm probably going to cut in half because this is all your other stuff. So [clears throat] these square ones a little harder for me to hold on to. But this is what you're going to get. Okay. Remember this is your little fame points getting one seal. That's Yeah, that's not even English. Okay. So tell you what, for those of you that don't speak English, you're going to look at these cards. Oh, there we go. earn one if the active piece touches at least one piece of the same color. There you go. Okay, so look and this G I mean there's two rule books in this game. So they're going to give you cards for well both languages if they're you know if you need the language. All right, so here's your different cities and looks like your little points you're going to get based on your city and the number of players.

Very cool. And this is probably everything that we already saw in the box. probably going to just give you a little more, you know, visual representation of what you need to do. Whoever does what is going to get whatever points. But yeah, I'm actually really curious curious to play this. There's not a lot of dexterity games that I've played. And this is one that's always looked pretty good. Now, here's our Junkard Revolution cards. This is the ones that we're going to draw, and they're going to tell us what piece we're going to put in. And I'm wondering if every player is going to have like their own color, their own stack of these cards. Okay, so we have 12. What do we got? 13. We're just going to keep on going up. There we go. Okay. So, all of those cards, there's going to be your gray ones as well. And then we're going to have all of our green ones. And then all of those turquoisey color ones. Very cool. We're going to stick all those right in here.

And the last thing we're going to have, if we get that in there, is that card right there. Cool. We have one of those. Maybe that's your first player card. But there you go, folks. That's that's what you get in Junkart. Okay. So, the bag's going to hold all these tokens, which is easily going to fit in that one little piece. These we just got to make sure fit down inside of there because I know these ziplock pieces sometimes like to stick up a little bit, but you know what? That's only going to be why that lid's closed. Let's get our rule books in here. And there you go. Okay. Looks fun. Looks interesting. I absolutely love the artwork, by the way. That is phenomenal on that cover. But there you go. That is Junk Art Revolution. Looks exciting. Can't wait to give this one a try. But there you go. Let's head up top. Let's close this out.

All right, folks. There you go. That is Junk Art Revolution by Luna Nova. And like I said, this is the revised edition. So, it's got some upgraded stuff. And, you know, I I'll be honest with you. Dexterity games are not really my thing. I've never been a a big fan of them or anything like that. But, after opening this one up and looking at all the pieces and the cards and what you got to try to build and how that's going to work, yeah, I'm excited to play this one. I got to admit it. The toy factor in this game alone is what makes it look really good to me. And I can't wait to give this one a try. Like I said, I' i've never really played one. They just haven't really interested me. But looking at this one, yeah, it's got me really interested. So, I'm excited about this one. Have to give it a try.
