And I absolutely I I've been loving and learning all these different new systems, and some of them have really been fantastic. I I played some of the more popular ones, and I played I played a lot of them that just weren't very popular. Like Magic, I think Magic is kind of
[snorts]
had its time, but you know, it still rivals everything and does a great job. And Pokémon, um but kids love Pokémon. I think it's a lot of fun. But there games that I think are really underrated, and I'm going to show you five of them today. And we're going to talk about them, and of course you can get them at none other than the great trading card market. But I want to tell you a little bit about these because these are just games that I'm really really enjoying and having a blast with. So, um at at number five is a game that I I mean, as cartoony as it is and everything, I I really enjoy it. And it's Hololive uh the official card game. Uh you can get this at tradingcardmarket, and you can get the boosters. And they also have um starter decks, which are really fantastic. You are a pop idol, which I know it sounds corny as anything, but the art is just tremendous on this.
And you have to get on stage and outdo your [clears throat] opponent and basically defeat them any way that you can. And it is quirky, but it is a fast-moving, fun trading card game that is a blast and is under the radar. Um it falls in line with the the Schwarz Weiss, which I haven't played yet, which I'm going to be checking out very, very, very soon, as well as um uh Lorcana, which is another one that I haven't had a chance to play that we're bringing in, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you guys as well. Um but but we've been having such a good time with this. And it's it's quirky enough where my granddaughter really enjoys it. And um and because she's liking to BTS and and some of these other, you know, K-pop Demon Hunters and all this other fun stuff that she has just been at having a blast with. And it was very easy to teach her this game and have a lot of fun. Now, can she build a deck? No. But we can play with starter decks and and we like adding all new cards from each set that comes out and they're very affordable and a lot of fun. So, at number five, Hololive Hololive the official card game.
At number four is a game that really caught me off guard. Um and it is really just something that I I I really, really enjoy when I'm I'm I'm playing it. And that's Grand Archive. Uh Grand Archive is is is fantastic because of the amount of of of taking a champion and and really just uh just fighting against an opponent. And it really plays very, very well. Um you'll have all different types of elements, fire mages, water mages, all these different types that you are going to um be using in your Pantheon deck.
Um and you know, uh basically if I read the back here, you'll get a good feel for this because it it really is a fantastic uh game. Answer the Grand Archives call and enter the home world, the land where gods, angels walk alongside mortals. In the midst of the home world's most beloved festival, the champions must prove their strength against each others in the arena. And you fight in this arena and it and you're going to have all these different types of champions and it is just fantastic. Um this is just an amazing There are some amazing sets out there. The art is just jumps right off the cards. And um some of the cards are just so absolutely beautiful. It is a game that I really think is underrated and uh you know, it doesn't get the love that that it really deserves. It's fun, it it's it's engaging, um and it does a lot of things. And it has a little bit of um um kind of Oh god, I want to say I want to say just like uh the Illustrials. If you've played the Illustrials, it has that type of feel, uh which is uh just just absolutely awe-inspiring and fantastic.
At number three is a game that came out of the gate, I think, really, really hot. And because it's not a trading card game, per se, um Sorcery: The Contested Realm. Um I have uh the Gothic box right here. And they have And in order to play this, you're going to need to get the booster box. And as well as that is get a bunch of starter decks if you want to. And you can get these at trading card market. The thing with this game, it is played on a 5 by 4 grid, I think it is. I I might be wrong. Don't quote me on this. Anyways, it is grid base. And you are a sorcerer and you are you are laying out these lands and trying to populate these lands and work your way over to the other side to defeat the other sorcerer. Um and it's kind of funny because when you finally get them down to um the end of their life, they're not dead yet. You have to land one more critical blow. And it's really just a neat little game the way it plays. The art is something that is just off off just off the charts. And the cards are absolutely beautiful. Um you're going to have a spellbook that you're going to be working from and you're going to have some of the most beautiful cards I've seen in trading cards in quite some time. And
you are going to be just just in awe of the beauty of of of everything that you have. You have creatures, you have spells um in your spellbook here. I'm actually looking for some of the Even even the little tokens that they have are you know you're going to get a bunch of these little tokens in here which are which are just really beautiful. And it really just it stands out and you're going to have the atlas which is the the worlds that you're going to be laying laying out. And each land that you put down has a different property that can help or hurt you and generate it's going to help you generate um the I I don't know if I can say mana or the mana or the or the energy that you need to bring out things. And there's just so many beautiful environments that you're going to have. And this is just an un- unbelievable game that I just don't think gets the love it deserves. It is just a all out wonderful card game that just does everything right and is absolutely beautiful. So, make sure that you go check it out. Uh uh Sorcery: Contested Realms. Uh they have a couple of sets out. This is the Gothic set here, which is very uh gothicky and and and just tremendous.
And it's one I highly suggest. At number two is a game that I absolutely just adore. And that is Shadowverse Evolved. Now, this is a game that is on Steam that you can play and you can buy cards and stuff like that. But uh they actually came out with a a an actual card game of it that you can buy and collect. And I'm going to tell you right now, again, this is another one where the cards are absolutely just drop-dead gorgeous. Uh the tremendous art, some of the foils are just tremendous. Even even the ones that are just you know, uh just regular you know, regular art like this Fox Lancer that you can have and and send out against your opponent. I mean, it's just absolutely the art is just tremendous.
And then, you know, the beast folk. I mean, look at this. I mean, it's just beautiful kind of anime-ish in a way, but it is just something that is is gorgeous. Uh and and then you get some of these cards like this that are just just really off the chart. Jet Jetbroom Witch, which is really really cool. And each one is set in a different environment. If you want to try the game out, you can try it out for free on Steam. Download it, check it out, see if it's for you. But, I'm going to tell you, once you start playing that, you're going to want to play this. And it is another game that isn't not over the top expensive to play or get into. It is just a tremendous, wonderful game, and that's Shadowverse Evolve. Make sure you check it out. Our number one Our number one um underrated game uh trading card game.
Um this one here is a collectible card game. It is called Timerift, okay? And this is tremendous. You can buy They have a booster bag a box of 24 packs. Um there is 10 cards plus three cards per pack. All you need is one pack to play the game. Yes, one pack to play the game. It is another game that you're going to be playing on a grid and and you want to get the starter uh game for sure. And I you know, you can get this over at um at Trading Card Market. But, you're going to be given a a a selected hero who is going to be able to move. And there are all kinds of different heroes out of time, which is just absolutely fantastic. And you're going to be moving in certain ways. You can't It's I think it's orthogonally. You can't move diagonally unless the card says you have. You're going to have four cards behind that, okay? Behind your hero, okay? Cuz your hero's going to be doing the fighting in this arena. And each card that you turn around because you're going to shuffle those four cards, it could be any you know, weapon, it could be something for defense, it could be an ability. And for that entire round, you're going to be able to add that to your arsenal. It may give you a way to attack diagonally. And you're going to attack until you can get your opponent down uh and defeated. Now, the game is only four rounds, which is really makes it really really interesting. And it's a
fantastic fun little game. There's dice chucking involved, which makes it even more fun. And it is a game that I think is so underrated. The rulebook, I mean, it's not a you know, you get this rulebook, you know, it just shows you all the different things that you can do with attack grids, defense, damage, and so forth and so on. It shows you what uh you know, a weapon can do if you turn that over and how it'll give you pluses and minuses to your dice roll. Uh how you recharge and move and rotate because you're going to have to rotate and you may have to attack sideways at times. And it's just one of those games that is interesting, historical. Um um I think the rules all all in all are 24 pages, but I think it's more giving you examples than it is explaining the rules. And then on the rest of the 10 15 pages, uh you know, what you what you do with poison, rage, and all those kind of things. And then game variations for uh playing, you know, one versus two or um a three-player free-for-all, you know, however you want to play it. Um a unique and and very different type of game. And if you have a chance, just find yourself a pack of it or just get this starter. It's well worth it because you get at least enough for a few games and you know, for four players in here. Okay? And that is fantastic and
it gives you the interchangeability. But go get the booster box and see some of the different heroes from all across time that you can play and you will be absolutely amazed. From Romans to Macedonians to to you know, Abraham Lincoln and things like that that you can you can gear up and just have an absolute blast with this tremendous game. So, there you go it.
