board games for K so monopoly how'd you play this game so the first thing you get to do is you're gonna choose your planned piece and you've got these wonderfully sculpted metal miniatures that are off the utmost quality they be citadel miniatures they'd be all that Games Workshop stuff they'd be reaper miniatures they're the detail of them is unmatched and you've got the wonderful wonderful choices of being a dog maybe being a boat maybe being a weird wheel type thing that doesn't really make much sense but anyway the detail on his miniatures is fantastic you'll choose one of them and then you'll take a certain amount of money from the supply you'll get to follow on Japan actually get for 100 per house and you get a bunch of other it's a paper money and the quality of the paper money is absolutely fantastic it's really really good quality really really thin paper that really feels really nice in you and it's really easy to manage so on your turn you'll roll the two dice and then you'll move that number of spaces and then you'll decide whether or not you want to buy the poppy if it's not already been bought and if you wanna buy it you'll pay the money and you'll take a card and you'll put it in front of you and if you don't want to buy then you can put up for auction and then you can start bidding one and then you have this wonderful wonderful process where the next person will be to then the next personal bid free the next personal bit forward see you get up to say 200 and takes about 15 minutes not too long so you know you put up for auction you're maybe or maybe not bear to get it a little bit cheaper right it has different types of poppies in this game you've got the basic properties which
all different colors and usually there are four sets of two or sets free the closer to go they are the cheaper layer and you get all the way around to Mayfair or whatever and so they're all different you've got a railway station you've got utility companies and they're all available for South away so if somebody lands on a property at you or they have to pay you rent and obviously the cheaper to property the cheaper the rent so if for any reason you have to pay rent and you cannot pay for that rent then you will have to mortgage I pop it in what you do you flip it over and you will then be able to get a certain amount money for property and if you want to repay the mortgage then you will have to pay ten percent on top of that fee right so there are certain cars that you might have to draw you might have to draw a chance card or it's Community Chest card if you land on that certain space and what you do will take off a chance card or Community Chest card you'll resolve the card and do what it says so there's also a joust bike you want a double then you can bowl again if you all to double right if you roll three doubles then you will be sent to Joe and you can get out by paying fifty pounds or you can wait three turns or you can try to roll a double to get a jar away so that's a really really wonderful mechanism where you're just gonna be sort of sitting out and taking a breather for so the game ends after all but one player is declared bankrupt or declared bankrupt if you cannot pay rent or if you cannot pay certain things there's also the opportunity to build houses if you owned all of the properties in hey sets you can't build on railway stations order utilities by the way and if you've built four houses then you can scrap all them
and you can build a hotel and what this means is is that if somebody lands on your space and you've got a hotel or a house on it and the rent goes up so it's a good way to sort eliminate people from the game early you're not me so like we said once you're the last player standing then you win the game of Monopoly so what do we like a bar monopoly the first thing that we really like about monopoly is the ball a move mechanism it's really really exciting it's just the even you roll that dice you never know where you're gonna go in fact you might roll that double all that triple and then you get a go pass go real quick the attention ramps up real quick and it's definitely one of the best implementations of roller move that we have ever seen in any ball game at all so the roller move mechanism in monopoly is absolutely fantastic so the second thing that we really liked about monopoly is the component quality hasn't changed since the nineteen phase and that's really good test that provides you with a sense of legacy and a sense continue II in this game the factory is still using paper money is to be applauded there's nothing better than handling that cash and it feels like a real banknote it really really does it even looks like a World Bank no I mean we went down a shop the other day to buy quite a beer and we actually used the five hundred pound of Monopoly and we didn't get any change so the fact that the component quality mirus reality is absolutely fantastic so the first thing that we liked about monopoly is the length of the game this game can take
all day and it really does satisfy the itch if you can't get to all our own periods at a table if you can't get it Clips the table if you can't get through the ages to the table because nobody wants to play - rubbish games you can bet your bottom dollar if you invite anybody rare to play Monopoly they will Jamba have a chance there'll be pointing your fingers off to play this game because this claim you could start this game at 6:00 in the morning and you will not finish it till 6:00 in the morning the next day and you might not even finish it then so this game is there to be savored it's a long game it's a slow burner and attention ramps up the more you play this I mean we played this once for about things by 23 days I think we played this for and we've still got it on the gaming table on the loft now so okay it's a little bit dusty but it doesn't know you can get yourself a dust devil if this game takes over a year to play right side of final thing that we really like about monopoly is days popularity this has been in print since the Stone Age right in fact we went down to cheddar gorge and we actually saw a stone age version of Monopoly it is one of the greatest games ever made we loved of Monopoly here our main site in fact this game was the sprinted over 30,000 years ago is testament to its longevity so what don't we like apartment up early so the first thing that we don't like about monopolies is well there's nothing that we don't like about us I was preparing for this video i sat down for about six hours trying to finger something that didn't like about monopoly and I couldn't think of a blasted thing there is nothing we don't like it's probably the most perfect game
you ever likely to play and it's definitely definitely our number one game of all time it's got everything it's got roll and move it's got player elimination it's got all those tasty features that you born have a modern game in 2020 and beyond right so honestly I couldn't think of a single thing that we didn't like about this game it and in fact after this video I'm gonna pull out monopoly over another two-week game of it with my wife and kids you know me because they loved it too so to summarize is monopoly still worth playing hundred years after it was first released and we are gonna say yes it's definitely worth playing I would go down to you local Walmart or if you're in the UK Tesco's and pick up a copy of monopoly there's so many variations this game is mind boggling but if you want a game that takes two weeks to play and even lets you punch your mother-in-law in the face when she flips at a book monopoly is the game for us without doubt a five-star game and the reason is so popular is because people are ignorant to Detroit fine so there you go that's monopoly it's a five-star game go and waste your money on this pile of trash because it is definitely one of the best games ever made why so they got us monopoly remember if you knew it then please get the place consider subscribing to this channel leave a comment in their section down below and we'll see her next time
