Today, I wanted to talk about a few more mechanics in the upcoming game Rosalee by YouTuber Koya. Today, I wanted to look at the play board. As you take your actions throughout the game, you'll be building buildings and deploying them into your rose garden. There are four unique structures that unlock your character's specific abilities that you choose at the beginning of the game. Those unique structures will also score victory points for the four rose cards around it. Robots provide you care points, which are later tended to those roses in your garden from round to round. And if you don't care for your roses, they'll wither and die and you'll lose points at the end of the game. There are cool bonus tiles in the game that you can acquire. This one gives you victory points for fragrance type, and this multiplies the number of small robots with big robots. And some even just give you bonus flowers. This game is one of those ones that has a lot of crevices to explore, where every nuance decision is going to help you achieve your objective. And that is to not go into debt. Each flower will bloom depending on the season. The roses with green borders will bloom only in spring, or if there is a powered greenhouse above it in that column. The green and orange bordered roses will bloom in any season. So, you've got to really time everything correctly. The cost of planting the roses is also quite crucial, because the season will dictate whether you get to plant them straight into the garden now, or whether they'll be saplings that will grow across the year. The hybrid rose tokens are really important for selling them to the rose market fair and getting prestige as well as more income to pay off some of those debts, which you definitely accrue a lot
on in this game. Hope that's given you a bit of insight to Rosalee. I like it.
