Small-Time Heroes | Playthrough | Rogue

Meet Me At The Table Dec 7, 2025
Transcript 1:17:02

Hello everyone and welcome to Meet Me at the Table. This is Colin and today I've got a treat for you. We are going to do a playthrough of Smalltime Heroes. I actually did a preview of this uh about eight or nine months ago and it delivered real quick and I've got to say this game, if you're looking for a more compact version of Slay the Spire, this is where it's at. From reading all the BG forums, I understand there is going to be another expansion coming out that adds two more of these heroes and four more bosses because right now we have four bosses and two heroes. That's great for about 10 to 11 plays of this game. After that, you're going to seeing basically everything this game has to offer other than just having different setups for your heroes. But adding two more heroes and four more bosses will really flush out this game. And it's not that expensive. It's a small footprint game. The box itself is tiny, so you can easily take this on a trip. It is a one to two player cooperative only rog light game. We're going to be defeating minions, leveling up. I'm going to show you the campaign. So, we're going to play at least two bosses. When you play the campaign, they say you should do three days worth. So, I have three bosses. We'll at least do two. I did the wolf pack in my original one. So, I want to show you that again, but using a new hero, the rogue hero. And then we're going to try the guardian. And then if we get there, we will go against the necromancer. Those are the three bosses.

Just like all my videos, make sure to turn on those cling on subtitles. This game is relatively new and I may make some errors and miss them in editing. And so then they'll pop up there as you're watching. All right, without further ado, let's jump in. Let's set up for our campaign. We're going to be the rogue trying to take down first that wolf pack and then the guardian. Let's do it. The first thing you'll need to do is decide which of the two heroes you're going to play. One is a warrior. That's what I did as a preview. I'll put a link in the description below if you'd like to see how that one works. The other is our rogue. They each start with 25 health. Each round, they will generate three energy that can be used to play cards from their hand. Each of the two heroes have nine cards to start their starting deck. and we're going to grab one upgraded card to make it a total of 10. We'll be drawing five cards around in this game. The rogue uses a conceal and an unconcealed ability. So, you have this card we'll just set to the side.

We'll start every uh wave of an encounter unconcealed and then we can conceal ourselves for different benefits. For right now, we're unconcealed. Each hero has a ginormous Look at how big this is. That is a ginormous amount of advanced action cards. And at the beginning of the game, you can gain one uh from a pool of four. So, you always have a market of four cards. I can choose any of these four. This one is disappear, discard one, draw one card, and then conceal. That costs nothing. This one is gain two energy, and it's an ambush, which means if we discard that card, we don't have to pay the two energy to just gain that two energy. Oh, that's kind of cool. This one, Sting Like a Bee. We can discard three cards and then deal 12 damage. 12 damage, you guys. That's amazing. But it costs two energy. Finally, we have a focus card here, it states, "Prepare, draw two cards, and gain two energy."

How prepare cards work. Every time we play a non-prepare card, when we do play a prepare card, we reduce the energy cost by the amount of cards we've played that are not prepare cards. So, if I can play three or four cards before this card, then the cost would be one or zero. But let's say I had multiple prepare cards that I'm trying to play around. Once you play a prepare card, then you have to reset that tracker. I personally feel like all four of these are amazing. I think I'm going to start with this one just because it's free. It lets us discard and that's going to work really well with these. Well, at least this one with the ambush. H this one is another discard three. I could instead do the disc. No, no, no. I'm going to do this one. I'm going to start with this one. Uh because it does allow us to conceal. So, that is going to go into my deck. I have 10 cards now. I'll shuffle those up. We will also immediately replace that with shadow wisdom. Discard one. This turn you don't need to be concealed for concealed effects. That is also cool. All right, we'll shuffle our cards and draw five. We have a clever attack that lets us deal two damage, but if we can discard this card, it doesn't cost anything and we can deal that two damage as an ambush. We also have a deal one damage and conceal for the silent attack. A regular deal three damage.

Ooh, this is a prepare card. So, if we play two cards before this card that do not have the prepare keyword, this will be free. It lets us gain a block and draw two cards. And then we have backstab. Deal one damage and then if concealed, you actually deal five damage instead. In the campaign version of this game, we are going to play over three days. Each day consists of three waves of minions followed by a boss fight. If you were playing just a single day, you would grab the wave cards here and just flip them over and you would just use the wave reward side. I'd shuffle these up and then they would give us certain benefits when we completed a wave. Because we're playing with the campaign though, we are also going to include these challenge cards. There are 12 of them. I'm going to randomly grab six of them and shuffle them into this stack.

Now that I've shuffled up our wave rewards, because we're in day one, I'm just going to grab the first one and flip it over. There's going to be no changes for the first day, even in the campaign mode. Uh so, if we can defeat the three level one minions that we're going to spawn, I will get to gain one card from the marketplace and then either choose to gain another card or a potion. Speaking of potions, there's a potion deck. You just shuffle that up. We have knowledge cards that you use for the campaign only. Shuffle those up. And we have our intent deck. I'm going to shuffle this up. What this has is two different sides. The front side will show you what potentially can activate. So, this says either the square or the triangle will activate. On the other side, it's a triangle. Each round, we're going to draw one of these and randomly determine what enemy is going to activate. We can see our top intent card right now is a circle. So, we know for sure the circle minion will activate.

Each boss has a horde side and it has a boss side. For the first three waves, we're going to be using the horde side. So, when we draw this intent card, which we will activate during the enemy phase, we will activate the circle minion and we'll activate this ability that says deal two damage. The minion with the lowest health gains to block. But then when we go against the boss, that will actually do something different. So, for the circle, gain one strengthen. But I will say the wolf pack is the easiest one. Then there's two level twos, the goblins and then the guardian. And then one level three, the necromancer. So, it'll be really nice when there's four more bosses. You can mix and match them. Each boss has three different levels of minions. We are going to start off with the level one minions for that first wave. So, I'm just going to set this aside and reveal three of them. We have an alpha wolf. We have a wolf father.

And the third one is a wolf pup. So each one of these will have health equal to the value on the right hand side. If you're playing this at two player, you double their health. You don't double their attack, but you double their health. So we've got a six health, a seven health, and a five health, respectively. One of these minions has an arrive ability. That means that happens right now after revealing all three of the minions. It says, "Give all other minions one strength." Strength means that when they attack, they attack for plus one. So instead of attacking now for that wolf father of four. Oh my gosh, we're going to need to take him out real fast. He's going to attack for us uh for five. Yeah, he only has seven health. We're going to have to take him down if we can. Uh the alpha wolf only attacks for three and the wolf pup attacks for two. And we know this top intent card is a circle. I'm going to put that in front of us. That will activate at the end of our turn. Let's walk through the two phases of the game and how the end of wave works. So, at the beginning of the round, we have our hero turn. We need to remove all block and status tokens from our heroes aboard. There's going to be certain things that do not get removed. That would be something like strengthen that stays with you for the entire wave. But if we were weakened or if we had extra block, all of that gets discarded. Then we draw our intent card, keeping it face down. Well, we know it's going to be a circle because it only has a circle on there. That means that wolf father needs to be taken down. Then what we do is we can fight. We can spend our energy and play hero cards. Now those cards go into

our play area. If ever we don't have any cards in our deck, we can shuffle our discard pile, but that won't include the cards that we have played that round. So just know everything we play goes out into our play area. Once we've played as many cards as we can or choose to play. At the end of turn, we discard all of our cards in hand. We don't get to keep anything. and then immediately draw a new hand of five cards. Then we will reset each enemy's block. Right now, none of the guys have blocks, so we don't have to worry about that. We then flip our intend card, activating the corresponding minion, and then activating the corresponding horde or boss ability. Then, we'll rinse and repeat that. Once we have defeated the final minion or the boss for that boss realm, discard your hand and current intent cards. Remove all status effects, and that includes strengthen anything that looks like it's permanent. Gain wave rewards. Shuffle your discard pile and the newly gained hero cards. And then draw five cards and set up for the next wave. With our five cards to choose from, I think we're going to start with our attack here. It's going to cost us one energy. So, we're going to go from three down to two. We're going to deal three damage. We most certainly are going to hit that wolf father. 1 2 3.

Knocking him down to four health. After that, we're going to deal one damage to him, knocking him down to three health. And we're going to conceal ourselves. So, he's down to only three health remaining, and we are now concealed. Now, there's two things we can use concealment for. One is using the concealed effect on one of our cards, which is what we're going to do this time. The other thing we can do is leave ourselves in concealed form during the enemy phase and then all damage that's dealt to us is h haved rounded down. Whenever you have to have anything in this game, it's always rounded down. But let's say I was getting attacked for three damage, we round it down to one and then you become unconcealed. So that concealment can be very helpful. Our next card we're actually going to play is acrobatics. Now this was a prepare card. These two cards before it were not prepare cards. So that reduced the cost of this by two. It lets us gain one block. This will be temporary, but we'll take it. One block. And we get to draw two cards from our deck. So we draw the reckless attack, deal four damage, discard two. And we have here, this is our disappear. Discard one, draw one card, and conceal. I do think our next card we're going to play is the backstab. It says deal one damage if concealed, which I am. I'm going to flip that to the unconcealed state and deal five damage instead. That five damage we'll use to take down the wolf father.

The wolf father is off the board, which is great. Uh I do want to call out, I didn't specifically state it. These are the attack values of the enemies. So, he was going to attack us for five with that strengthen. Now, we don't have to worry about that. Also, some of them have when they die, they have a benefit that we can use. This alpha wolf says that we can clear our market row if we would like when we defeat them. Now, normally you would think our turn would be done because we've used all of our energy, but we did just grab this disappear card. It states discard one. So, we need to discard a card first and then we can draw one card and then conceal. Well, we're going to discard this clever attack and that says ambush. If we discard this card, we then get to do the effect for free. So, we're going to deal two damage as we discard that card. Then, we'll draw one card and we have the shadow block and we're going to move ourselves back to the conceal side.

With that two damage, let's hit the wolf pup, knocking them down to three health. Unfortunately for us, there isn't anything else we can do. We have two cards in hand. We're going to discard those along with the cards that we played. We will then immediately draw five. I only have two here. I'll shuffle up and draw the other three. We drew our clever attack, our silent attack, disappear, block, and conceal. We now need to reveal our intent card, and yep, we knew it was going to be a circle. No minion to activate, but we do have the deal two damage. The minion with the lowest health gains two block. Well, we have one block, so we'll block one of the damage dealt to us. The other one will hit our health going down to 24. Now, I could use my concealment. And you know what? Why don't I I'm going to say I use my concealment for that attack.

And now I am no longer concealed, but I take that one or two damage, divide it by two, so it's only one. And I had one shield. So I'm still at full health. The wolf pup has the lowest health, so they will gain two block for the next round. That's it. Now it's going to go back to us. I'm going to grab our intent card. We know it's the circle again, which is great. No minion is there, but they're going to continue to gain block. We're going to start off our hero turn by playing disappear. We are going to discard Clever Attack, which by the way is an ambush. So, we're going to deal two damage. Then, we'll draw a card and we'll become concealed. Let's draw a card. And we have Acrobatics. This is a prepare card. With the two damage, let's hit the alpha wolf, knocking him down to four health. We'll then use our first energy, playing a block, going down to two energy. That will generate for us three block. Look at our tiny shield.

Our tiny shield giving us three temporary block. Now, that means we can play this repair card for free. Gain one block. So, we have four block for this round. We can we can block pretty much anything. The most we're going to get hit with is two damage. So, we're going to be fine. The big thing is we get to draw two cards. Well, this one's going to give us some more block, which is not what we need. We need attacks. Uh, this one is an attack. That's what we are looking for. So, we're going to play this next, the backstab. That will knock us down to one energy. Since we're concealed, we're going to deal five damage, but now we're no longer concealed. Five damage is what we need to take out the alpha wolf. That's two of these minions down. We could if we wanted to reset our market row. I don't want to do that. All we have is the wolf pup left. Sadly, we're not going to do much with our last energy. We're going to deal one damage. Well, it has one block, so it goes down to one. Doesn't matter. It will though put us into the concealed state. I then have no other cards I want to play, so I'm going to discard and draw. We have a reckless attack, a regular attack, silent attack, disappear, and backstab. Yeah, we are ready to attack this round. The first thing that happens during the enemy phase is any excess block is discarded or if they had a block value, they would gain up to that much block. The wolf pup though will not activate. It's only the circle and there's no minion there.

We're killing it right now. We're then dealt two damage, but I have four shields, more than enough. I'm just going to discard the shields though because we won't get to keep it. And then that wolf pup will gain two block. So that means next round I just need to deal five damage and we should be good. At the start of our next turn, we would grab an intent card. This one would be activating the diamond, but it's not going to matter. We've got five damage right here with our backstab. Deal one damage if concealed. We're concealed. Deal five damage instead. That will complete this wave. Due to our wave benefits card, we can either gain one card and one potion or two cards. And at the beginning of the game, I feel like I got to go two cards, right? I want cards like nobody's business. Sting like a bee that can auto kill somebody. 12 damage.

Let's put that in. I know I have to discard. Uh, and then we'll replenish that with a shank. Deal three damage. Conceal. Deal eight damage instead. Oh my gosh, that's another amazing one. I think though I'm going to do this ambush because now I have a couple cards that make us discard and we could gain energy when we discard this. So let's grab this one for our second card. We'll flip this over. We have advantage. Draw one card. If concealed, draw another card and play one of them for free. Uh she is so much fun. We'll then discard our wave card and let's draw our next one. Now in days two and three, these effects will take place, but they won't right now. We'll flip this over. Okay, we'll gain three health at the end up to our max value. And we can either gain one card or gain two card, I should say one card and destroy one card or just gain two cards.

I'm going to shuffle my deck, draw five cards, and then we'll reveal three level two minions. We drew acrobatics, conceal, we have our well-laid plans, we have our sting like a bee, and we have disappear. Oh, this going to be a fun first turn. We'll start that next wave by drawing three minions from the wave two set. So we have a Bal Wolf. So this guy is a guard. So that means we have to attack him first. And he has two block and seven total health. Still not a ton. We're doing okay there. Our next one is a loyal wolf. And that one has one block. And it says give all other minions two block when he arrives. We'll do that in a second because the third one will show up. This is a spirit wolf and he has a power ability. And it states on death, all minions gain one strength, but we're going to give two more block to this one. Give all other minions. So each of these minions will gain two block. They're only going to be blocks there for this round. At the beginning of each enemy phase, you reset all the blocks. And that is an arrive ability only. All right, let's see what we can do. Oh, we've got to draw our intent card. So, either this uh spirit wolf, which attacks for six damage. Oh, wow. I got to pay attention to that. Or the triangle, three damage here. One of those two will activate, but I have to take this one out first. The first card I'm going to play, which costs us two energy. So, we're going down to one, is

Sting Like a Bee. We have to discard three cards. I'm going to discard this conceal. I'm going to discard this ambush and gain for ourselves two more energy. So, we'll go back up to three. And then our third one is disappear. But we're just dealing 12 damage. That should auto kill that beta wolf. It actually almost doesn't. But 7 8 9 10 11. We're dealing 12 damage. He's done. When we defeat him, we could clear our market. I'm not going to do that. I love the market that we have. That was awesome. That was almost our entire hand. We're then going to use one energy because this is a prepare card and this one is not a prepare card. So, we got to reduce the cost by one to gain one whopping block. So, we have one block and we get to draw two cards. And we have the silent attack and we have a regular attack with two energy. We can actually just play both of these. That's going to deal three damage and that will deal one more. That's four. And we're going to be concealed, which I can potentially use during the enemy phase.

So that's four damage. Let's deal all four to this loyal wolf. So that's one, two, three, four. He's down to five health, I think. Then I'm just going to end my turn. I'm going to discard my cards and draw back up to five. And I have exactly five in my deck. So here's my five cards. Now we only have one block. Let's see. It's going to be the square that activates. So, I'm most certainly going to use this. I'm going to become unconcealed. So, I take half damage this round. So, with the square, I'm being attacked for three damage. And don't forget, I do need to reset all of this. So, no shields for him and one for the loyal wolf. With that three damage, I have one block. And then we take two. So, we're down to 23 health. We then have to activate the square. All minions gain one strength. So, now they'll each attack for one more. That spirit wolf could attack for seven. We're going to discard that intent card. Our next one is either a square or the diamond. For our turn this round, we'll spend one energy and play our reckless attack, dealing four damage to the spirit wolf.

Spirit wolf has seven health. 1 2 3 four going down to three. But then we have to discard two cards. Well, I'm going to discard the clever attack for one of those two. That means the spirit wolf is going to take two damage for that. And then let's discard the shadow block for the other one. That's our two discards. We have two more energy left. Let's use block here to gain three block for one energy. And then here I'm not concealed. So I'll just deal one damage. But that's what we need to take out the spirit wolf. Thank goodness because otherwise this spirit wolf could potentially be hitting us for seven damage. Now on death he gives strengthen to uh one all minions but there's only one minion out. This was a minus one. Sorry. So it should be a minus two. Now this guy has this guy attacks for six as well but he's not going to be activated first.

I'm going to discard my cards. I do have three block and then I'm going to draw five. We've got our shadow block, a block, a disappear, silent attack, and sting like a bee. That card is amazing. We then have to reveal our intent card and it's a square. No problem here. And we know from the horde deck that this guy gains one strength. So hopefully we can kill him. Now our next card, our next intent card will not activate a minion, but it'll activate one of the worst effects on the horde uh board. It will either be all minions activate, which actually isn't terrible. There's only one, although he'll attack us for four, five, six, seven damage. Or this one, all minions gain five block and two strength. However, when you have sting like a bee, it's not going to matter.

I'm going to discard these three cards, dealing 12 damage to him. He only has five health remaining with a shield. He's done. That normally would allow us to gain an energy, but we don't care. It's the last minion, and we don't have to worry about this one. This one would have had all minions activate. I can just discard it. Due to our wave rewards card, we'll gain three health. We are at 23. We're back up to 25 health. And then we can gain one card for sure. Maybe a second one. Or I can burn one. I love this shank. Deal eight damage if we're concealed. So, I think I'm going to grab that one for sure. Then, wax on, wax off. This turn, gain two block when you play a card. Ooh, that's a zero cost. Or do I want to burn something? Let me look at my deck. I don't think I'm ready yet to get rid of a card. So, I think instead I'm going to gain one more. This could be helpful because of dealing with bosses that might deal us damage. Gain two block when you play a card. H or the other idea is I could get another prepare card. Now, look at this. Costs four, but we could draw two cards and gain two energy. It lets us do lot, you know, I'm going to do that one. That just seems awesome. We now have hidden knowledge. This turn, every time you conceal, draw two cards. I need more ways to conceal. I think I only have two or three conceal cards. Right now, I only have three cards that conceal. So, the next time I can refresh, although I love all of these cards, I think they're probably all going to be great. I might

refresh them so I can see if some of these new cards can give us a way to conceal. Speaking of which, I have shuffled up my deck and drawn our five cards. We have our shank. We have our attack. This is a reckless attack. This is a prepare and a backstab. As you can see, I have no conceal. Uh, so that could deal eight damage, but only be three if I can't conceal myself. We're moving on to wave three. Let's see what our benefit will be on this card. This one is okay. We can gain one card or two cards once again or burn a card. We need three level three minions this time. Oh, we have an alpha wolf. That's going to give two strengthen to all other minions. Okay, this one is an alpha mother. On death, deal three damage to all heroes. Oh, but when we take that out, we get a potion. And we take this guy out, we gain three health. And then wolf father, deal one damage for every other minion. That's an activate. That's when he activates. We've set up our minions with four, seven, and nine health respectively. One block, three block for the wolf mother, and two for the alpha wolf. We are going to be activating that wolf father for sure. So I want to see can I deal 10 damage. If I don't uh that activate effect happens when the enem is activate. So after he attacks or if he is activated after he attacks he then activates this ability.

All right we've got our five cards. Let's see what we can do. Unfortunately we have no way of gaining conceal. So we're just going to play our reckless attack for our first energy. We're going to discard both of these cards. Neither of them are ambushes, so they don't give us any benefit. We're going to hit the wolf father for four. He has one block, so he takes three damage. Then we're going to spend this one. That's going to give us another three damage. That's six damage. Well, actually, that's four, five, six, seven. And then this one, 8, 9, 10. Remember, I said I needed 10 damage. I just had it, but I have no block. Uh, and I had no way of becoming concealed. We now, of course, drew two cards with conceals. We've got our ambush. We've got some block and some preparing. We dealt the 10 damage, nine health, and one block. We would have gotten an energy back, but I had no cards left in my hand. So, that doesn't do anything. We'll just discard him. And then when we activate, we know it's going to be the square. And the square is on the uh horde card. All minions gain one strength. So, that means the wolf mother will be at three and the alpha wolf will be at one. Our next intent card will either be the circle or the triangle. So, both of the minions, one of those two could activate. Let's see if we can take another one down.

Let's start with our disappear card. We're going to discard one card. Well, you know which one we're going to discard? This welllaid plans. That will give us two energy. So, we're going to go from three to five energy this round. And we get to draw a card. And we have the clever attack, which is awesome. And we can conceal. So, we are now in the concealed state. We're then going to play our block to generate three block. We're going to need that. Uh, that was one energy. We're down to four energy. We can then play our prepare here to gain another block. That will be four. And we can draw two more cards. And we draw shadow block. It's good to have block. We need attack. Where's our attack? There it is. Sting like a bee.

That will work. We'll then most certainly use Sting like a bee. Going down to two energy. We're going to discard three cards. Well, these two when we discard them do nothing. But this one right here, this clever attack, we can deal two damage. And then, of course, we can deal 12 damage. Unfortunately, the two damage isn't going to really matter. We're going to deal the two to the alpha wolf, but then we'll deal 12 to the wolf mother, which means she will immediately get killed. 7 + 3 is 10. She does have an ondeath. Deal three damage to all heroes. Well, I have three block. So, I'll discard the three blocks. I don't take the damage. We also gain a potion. These potions can be super awesome. I'm going to shuffle them up quick and let's draw this one right here. This one, it says gain a block. So, it's discarded and we can hold three potions. We can discard that at any time to gain three block or eight block. We'll discard the wolf mother. I still have a total of two energy, but now I have no cards left in my hand. So, I'm just going to discard all the cards that I've played. I have only one card in my deck. That's my silent attack. I'm going to draw that and then shuffle up and draw four more. Here we have our five cards in hand. The big thing is I have my sting like a bee that should be able to take out that alpha wolf next turn. We'll move to that minion step.

Let's flip this over. It is the triangle. So I am going to use my conceal to have the damage dealt to us haved. So we with that triangle, we're going to be attacked by five. Put that down to four. Divide that by two. That's two damage. We have one block. So we'll block one of the two damage. And we'll go down to 24 health. Oh, but that's not all. The triangle states the minion with the highest health activates. Well, that's that alpha wolf. It'll attack us for five more, but once again, we get that for the full enemy phase from how I understand it. So that's going to be four damage divided by two because we're concealed. So that will only deal us two damage. That will knock us down from 24 23 22 health. We should then be able to take out this alpha wolf. The next intent card actually would have been all minions activate. Again, I'm not going to have to worry about that. You know what we're going to do? We have our sting like a bee. I can discard three cards. Seven plus two shields is nine.

That's 12 damage. That means we've completed this wave. We also, because of the alpha wolf's undeath ability, gain three health. 1 2 3. So, we're back up to 25. We're still at full health. And now, it's time for the boss fight. Don't forget, we get to have our wave rewards. One card for sure, maybe a second, or we can destroy one card. Well, this one auto replaces itself. It says draw one card. If concealed, draw another card and play one of them for free. Yeah, that seems cool to me. Uh, then we have from the shadows. If concealed. No, I need a concealed card. Do I want to burn something? I like all the cards in my deck. So, what I think I'm going to do is grab this one. It's also a zero cost. We have to discard a card, but it says this turn you don't need to be concealed for concealed effects. Yeah, why not?

We'll put that into our deck. And this one is the next card you play is free. Oh, and that's your ambush effect if you can discard this. We can then draw our five cards. We have a way to conceal. We have our prepare card. We have an ambush. We have our shank. Yeah, this is going to be fun. In the meantime, we will discard this reward card. We'll flip over the next one. This one, we could gain two cards or one card and a potion. We now can flip over our horde card. And you know what? We find the Hound Master. 30 total health. I'm going to use a tracker, I think, for this instead of using the health tracker. I'm just going going to use one of my Lord of the Rings ones cuz it's fun to take it down. He's got 30 total health. All we have to do is defeat him. We do not have to defeat the three minions we're going to spawn. Now, we do not need to determine which level of minions we are going to fight because this is day one.

They're all going to be level one minions. So, we have an Omega Wolf and that Omega Wolf, if that one gets activated, it actually attacks twice. Only attacks for one, though. Then our other one is a wolf pup. Yeah, you can see this is why it's a level one. And then our third one is the wolf mother. Our goal now is simple. Take the Hound Master out for 30 total damage. Speaking of which, I need to grab a new intent card. This one is activating the triangle, which is the Omega Wolf. He'd attacked me twice. I'm probably just going to ignore that. Uh, but the ability for the Houndmaster will say gain one strength but then summon a minion and I don't have a spot for a minion. So, what happens with that is you draw a minion, it immediately attacks you and then if it has any ondeath ability, you have to activate that and then you discard it. I think I can handle that. We're just going to go for the houndmaster. Although, if I do take the wolf mother out at some point, I could get a potion. So, I need to think about that. But I'm going to start with our concealed card here. We're going to become concealed without a doubt. Then let's go ahead and become no longer concealed and deal eight damage to the boss. That knocks him down to 22 health. Next up, we're going to use the remainder of our two energy to play this repair card. But that will give us two energy back and we get to draw two cards. We have our silent attack. Oh, that lets us conceal. And we have disc one. Discard one card and conceal. Oh, that's actually almost terrible. We have too many conceals. Well, I'm going to

use this one next. We're going to discard one card. We're going to discard this ambush. So, when we discard this, we gain two more energy. So, now we have four energy. And then we can draw one card and we have some block. And then we can gain concealed again. Then I think we're just going to hit the boss for four more damage, discarding these two cards. And that puts him down to 18 health. Sadly, we most certainly have enough energy, but not enough cards. So, we're just going to discard and draw. We drew for ourselves an acrobatics, an attack, a backstab, an advantage, and sting like a bee. Oh my gosh, 12 damage to the boss. Don't mind if I do. During the enemy activation, we'll flip this over. Triangle. That means the Omega Wolf is attacking us. We'll go to no longer being concealed. He attacks for one divided by two rounded down is a zero. He then activates, attacks us again. That's zero damage. Then we need to activate the houndm. And I'm still not sure about these. Gain one strength.

I'm going to say that the minion gains the strength. I don't know if that's right. That seems to make the most sense. So for the tri triangle, gain one strength now that a mega wolf will attack two each time and then summon a minion. Well, I can't place it anywhere. So we're going to bring out this minion. Oh, hits me for four damage. It has an activate. Don't have to worry about that. We'll just discard it. Uh I do still have that conceal. So, I take two damage. So, I'm going to go down to 23 health. That will end this enemy phase. Our next enemy phase, we're going to have the square one activating. That's the wolf mother hitting me for four damage. After you defeat a boss, you do heal up to full. So, that's why I'm just going straight for the boss. I'm going to use my sting like a bee. I have no ambush cards in my hand. It's brutal.

Uh, but I'm going to play or discard these three cards to do that. Dealing 12 damage. That means the boss is only down to six health, but I'm gonna have nothing else I can really do for him. I have one energy remaining. Let's play advantage. Draw one card. I'm not concealed. We have this one. I might as well use it. Gain two block. So, that will uh make it so it doesn't hurt as much. That's it for us. We'll discard these cards and draw five. I've got two here. And then let me shuffle. We have our five cards. Let's see if we can at least deal six damage. That's us draw more cards. That gives us block. That doesn't No. You know what? The most I can do with this hand right now is two damage. So hopefully I will get something good when I draw. This round is going to hurt us a little bit. We have our square for the intent. So that means the wolf mother's dealing us four damage. I do have two block, but the other two is going to hit me. So I'm down to 21. Then for the square here is deal five damage. So 1 2 3 4 5. We're down to 16 total block. And then it says gain three block. I think that's for him. So, we now need to be able to deal nine damage, not just six, which stinks.

Okay, we're going to grab our next intent card. Oh boy, that one would gain one strength summon a minion. It activates now. That sounds horrible. Okay, so hopefully in the next two turns, we can kill that boss. We most certainly are going to start off with our shadow wisdom. discard one card. We're going to discard our ambush, dealing two damage to the boss. That's going to knock his block down to one from three. We also now can activate concealed effects even though we aren't concealed. We're then going to spend only one energy going down to two to gain one block. And we can draw two cards. Let's hope we get something that can attack. Well, we've got our advantage and we have our just basic attack of three cards. Oh, this is going to be fun. We're going to play advantage. Draw a card. If concealed, we can use concealed effects. We can draw another one and play one of them for free. So, it's either reckless attack or it is shank. And we're going to do shank. And we can activate the concealed effect. And that was for free. Eight damage to the boss. He's got one shield.

That's enough. That's seven damage. Oh, we just took out the boss. That eight damage attack, one shield, and seven with only six health is enough for that Houndmaster to be gone. First boss done. We then can gain our wave reward. If concealed, play all prepare cards in your hand for free. The next card you play is free. That's an ambush. I think I'm going to grab this one. I'm going to put that one into my deck. Will this one help me conceal? Apply exposed to all minions. That's an am. That one's awesome, but still doesn't give me a conceal. I then think I'm just going to grab a potion for my second benefit. And we have revive. When all heroes health is zero, gain five health and become immune. Wow, that's cool. I've never seen that one. I'll have to look up what immune does. We then will discard this wave benefit. And now this one we are not going to flip over. We're going to leave it on this side. And this is one of the advanced challenges actually. It is going to give plus two health to all minions on wave one. It would in the first round give an additional block that's here if it was there and then any additional strength. We also have the effect at the end of the turn all minions gain one strength. Oh yeah. So we got to kill those minions quickly in that wave otherwise they're going to continue to get stronger and stronger.

Of course before we do that we do get to heal to full. So we're at 25 health. I almost forgot. I also will gain a knowledge card that I can use for the rest of the campaign. First time playing the campaign. Gain one extra energy every turn or increase your hand size to six cards. Oh my gosh, both of those are amazing. Do I want more energy? That usually doesn't seem to be my problem. I think I'm going to increase my hand size to six. So now I'll draw six cards every time this one gets shuffled back in. Speaking of which, I'll draw my six cards. And look at all of those upgraded cards. Sting like a bee, Intel, Clever Attack, Disappear, Focus, and then Backstab. All this is going to be fun.

We now are going to spawn three level one guardian cards. They're all going to have plus two health. So, we have a rabbit mage that'll have eight health. We have a spider witch, which will have eight health as well. Oh boy, that one attacks for four damage. And then we have a rat wizard which will have eight health. Actually, they're all sixes. And then there's going to be a new mechanic for this one called crystals. We're going to be gaining crystals. And that sounds good. It's bad. And whenever you gain crystals in this one, it's bad. You don't want them because they will trigger worse effects on these cards. You can see this one has a five cost effect. Here, I'll zoom in. You can see if the total amount of crystals I have is three or higher, then this guy will gain three block. And I don't discard any crystals for that one. This one, if I have four or more, deal three damage for every minion. Then you'll actually remove two crystals. So right now we have none. And all of these are activate abilities. The part that royally stinks is look at this intent card. It's going to be a bad boss effect. And I should say it's a hoorde effect. gain six crystals. Yeah, that's going to be bad.

So, we're not going to get attacked this round. We are going to gain six crystals and then the next round we're going to get hammered. I can look at the top card of my deck and I can see it is the diamond here on the intent. So, I want to take out that rabbit mage who has eight health. I think I should be able to do that no problem during our hero phase. Sting like a bee. Discard three cards. We're going to discard this intel. The next card we play is going to be free because that's an ambush. This one we get to deal two damage to something. And then this one's just a focus. We're discarding it. Let's deal two damage to this rat wizard going down to six. And then we're going to deal 12 damage to this guy. Oh, this one's gone. Our next card we can play is free. Well, jokes's on me because I'm going to play disappear, which is free. I'm going to have to discard a backstab. Uh, but then we can draw one card and conceal ourselves. Oh, we gained three block.

That's worthless. We will gain ourselves concealed and we'll just leave it that way. Then we'll discard and draw. We drew advantage, shank, conceal, silent attack, shadow wisdom, and shadow block. The only thing that happens is we gain six crystals. We're not at 10, so we don't have to activate the lowest health minion. Then we're going to discard this intent card. Oh, we need to not forget this states all minions are now going to gain one strength. That means the spider witch will attack for five and the rat wizard will attack for four. That's still okay though because I have the diamond symbol here. We have no minions to activate. Oh boy, another one of these. These are so bad. We'll start this round with our advantage card. We get to draw one card and we are concealed. So, we can draw another card and we can play one of them for free.

Why don't we play the rest reckless attack dealing four damage? Let's do the uh spider witch. So, uh eight down to four health and we have to discard two cards. We're going to discard our silent attack and our conceal because I'm already concealed. Then, what we can do is play this card for free, gaining one block. So, that's our one block that we'll have and we get to draw two cards. So, I only have two left. Oh, yes. This is awesome. Okay, that was a prepare card that cost us nothing. So, so far we have paid nothing. This is why I didn't need more energy. We're then going to lose our conceal, spending one energy, going down to two to deal eight damage. With eight damage, we are going to take out this rat wizard. No questions asked.

And that's going to let us refresh our market row. All of these cards are great, but I need something that's going to allow us to gain more conceal. So, let's do this one. Oh, that has a conceal. That has a conceal. Sound of the wind. That has a discard ability and mimicry. Our next card we're going to play is our shadow wisdom. We have to discard a card. Well, I'm going to discard this one. It's an ambush. So, I actually gain two energy. So, we're back up to four. And now we don't we can use concealed effects as if we were concealed. So we're going to spend one energy going down to three to deal three damage to that spider witch putting them down to one health. And then we're going to gain two more block. And because we are technically concealed, we will draw two cards. Our two cards that we drew were the clever attack and focus. And yeah, why don't we use the clever attack just dealing two damage? That will be enough to take out the spider witch. We certainly made quick work of those minions, uh, even with the additional health. Now, what we get to do is flip this over. We're now going to have the brass knuckles ability at the beginning of each wave. Start of combat, gain one strength. So, we're always going to have one strength and we can gain one card.

This is what we call a treasure card, which is different than the potions. You can have as many treasure cards as you want, and you don't discard them. So, I'll have this for the rest of our campaign. The next set of enemies will have plus4 health though. Without a doubt, I think I'm looking at one of these two. This is a prepare. So, as long as I play another card, this one will be free. But this one, if I discard it, because it's an ambush, I can still do its effect. I think I'm going to do this prepare. I'm going to put that into my deck. Flipping over a new one. We have insight. Discard one, gain energy for the discarded card. Ooh, that's actually kind of cool. We've drawn up our six cards. We have a reckless attack, a conceal, a focus, acrobatics, well-laid plans, and clever attack in our hand. Our crystals will go back to zero. We'll get three level two minions.

Okay, this one is going to be a guard. When it activates, it's going to gain a strength. It has 12 + 4. That's going to be 16 total health. That thing I can't just take out with that one attack. We have a rat wizard for other one. Another activate that is 8 9 10 11 12 total health. And then our third and final minion. We have another spider witch. This thing will also have 12 total health. We'll then draw our intent card. We know it's one of the two bad things. Uh trigger all minion abilities. That is going to be terrible uh if we get the uh straight up and down intent, but not much I can do about it. Don't forget I have one strength. That means all of my attacks deal plus one damage. We'll start by using one of our three energy to use our reckless attack, dealing five damage to that berserker.

So, it goes from 16 to 11 health. We have to discard two cards. I'll discard well-laid plans. That's going to give us two energy. So, we'll go back up to four. And then our second one is the clever attack. That will deal three more damage. It has to be to the berserker. One, two, three. He's down to eight health. That was one card, you guys. This She's so much fun. Uh, our next card I think we're going to do is play this one. We're going to become concealed. So, we're concealed up. Then, I think we are going to play a focus. That is going to cost us two energy. Uh, because we had two cards that were not a prepare card played first. And then, we will draw two cards and gain two energy. So, we'll go back up to four. We will draw shank. Oh, yes. and we will draw intel. The next uh card you play is free. I think next we are going to play our shank going down to a three and we are going to use up our conceal dealing eight damage to that berserker. That'll kill it. And actually that's nine damage because of the plus one. He doesn't have any effects but he's off the board. I have three energy remaining and I've played one card since I played a prepare card. So, this will only cost me one.

Going down to two energy, I'm going to gain one whopping block, but I get to draw two cards. And we have disappear. Oh, that can conceal us again. And we have shadow block. Yeah, we're going to do disappear. We have to discard one card. Let's discard this one. And because it's an ambush, the next card that we play will be free. We get to draw a card. And we have Shadow Tactics. And we can conceal. So now we're concealed. Let's then use one energy to play shield block. Oh my gosh, she is amazing. Gain two more block. So now we have three block and we are concealed. So we get to draw two more cards. We have more block and we have backstab, which is what I want to use. We will play that. Uh let's see. Yeah, that's going to cost us once. We're out of energy, but that's going to allow us to deal six damage. The rat wizard makes me gain a crystal. So, I think I'm going to deal the six damage to him. 1 2 3 4 5 6.

He's down to six health. Unfortunately, I have run out of energy. I'm going to have to discard these two cards. But look at how many cards I played. Do you see why she's awesome? 1 2 3 4 5. I've got five cards here. I'll shuffle up and draw our sixth. We've drawn Shadow Tactics, Shadow Wisdom, Sting Like a Bee, Silent Attack, Advantage, and an attack. We do though have to deal with our intent card. Okay, it slashes sideways. Oh, that's just gaining six crystals. We don't have any crystals yet. So, that's okay. That means the 10 does not activate. And we'll grab the next one. It's either a circle or a diamond. Let's play our cards. We're going to use our sting like a bee card. Discarding the silent attack. I mean, that's such a great card, but I think I'm still going to discard it. We're discarding Shadow Wisdom and the regular attack card to deal 12 damage. The spider witch here has exactly 12 health off the board. And that gives us two shields for this round. Remember, we had those shields or blocks last time. I just had to discard them. We've got two back. We just need to deal six damage to this rat wizard. It's very easy for me to forget my strength. So, that was actually an attack of 13. I then think I'm going to play Shadow Tactics. It's going to cost us zero because this was not a prepare card. We are going to conceal. So, we'll flip this over and we get to draw a card and we have backstab.

Backstab is six damage. That will just do it. That will uh that'll take out round two. Wow, we are powerful. Six damage is exactly what we need to take out that rat wizard. We'll discard our intent card. We'll lose our block as well as our uh crystals. And let's see what we gain as a benefit. So, we have plus three health where our health is at full. We can gain one card and another card or a potion. I think for our card, I want yet another way to be concealed. So, we're going to grab stealth. We'll replenish this. And then, uh, let's see. I think I'm going to grab one more potion. So, I have three. This one says any hero may discard their intent card, which means that no enemies would attack them. That'll be great for a boss. I'm now full, so I do want to use some of my potions. I've shuffled up and drawn our six cards. We've got a reckless attack, a regular attack, a shank, a well-laid plan, shadow block, and silent attack.

This is so much damage. We'll discard this card. And our next one, we can see two health and three block. Now, that three block is only useful to the minions for the first round. So, we'll give them three block, but then after that, they will not have the three block going forward. We also have that one strength because of those brass knuckles. Let's flip our three level three minions. Okay, we have a berserker again. So, he is going to have 3 plus one, four shields. Four shields and 12 plus to 14 health. We then have for our next one, this is a spider witch. This one applies weak. He'll have three block and a total of 11 health. And then the final minion will be another rat wizard, a total of 10 health, and we'll give him the three block. We also will grab our intent card, circle or diamond. Circle could be the spider witch. Diamond could be the berserker. We'll start the round spending one energy, going down to two to do our reckless attack. Deal five damage. We have to hit the berserker.

The Berserker has four shields, so we'll discard all four shields and then knock them down to 13 total health. But we do have to discard two cards. Our first one will most certainly discard this one to gain two energy. So we'll go from two to four. And then I hate to do this, but I'm going to discard my shield block for the second card. Then we're just going to deal four damage going down to three energy. So, if we deal four damage to that berserker, 1 2 3 four down to nine health. Then we'll deal two damage, eight seven to that guy, going down to two energy, and we're going to conceal ourselves. And then we're immediately going to unconceal, spending an energy, going down to one to deal nine damage.

The berserker is no more gone. We then can discard our cards and draw five more. We have our clever attack, focus, shadow wisdom, acrobatics, stealth, and shadow tactics. The only bad thing is I did not generate any block. And we have circle activating. So that's going to be the spider witch. Oh boy. Spider witch is going to hit us for six damage. That's a no joke. So we're at 25 minus 6. That knocks us down to 19 damage. We're then going to have weak placed on us. And what that means is just for the next attack, it's going to deal half damage rounded down. But it's only for one attack, thank goodness. If we had any crystals, this guy would also gain three block. Speaking of which, I think all of that block gets discarded because it does not refresh. We do, however, have to activate this. We're going to gain two crystals. All minions gain two block. And then we don't have five crystals, so we can ignore that next part. We'll start that next round by drawing our intent card. So, it's either a circle or a square. We'll start off this round by playing our shadow wisdom.

We have to discard one card. Let's discard our clever attack. That's for three damage, but then we are weakened, so it's only two damage. And then we'll discard this weakened token. With two damage, all we're doing is removing two shields from the rat wizard. Now though, we can activate concealed effects no matter what. I do think we're going to play this card that is free because we've already played one other card. We are going to conceal and draw one card. Give us some damage. No, that's more conceal. This is where the conceal is good and bad. I think next we are going to play disappear. We have to discard one card. We're going to discard stealth that has conceal, but we're already concealed. We can draw one card because of that ambush. So, I'm going to draw. That gives us a conceal. Then we have draw one card and we can conceal. We're already concealed. There we go. Here's something that we can use conceal for.

Let's do it. This will spend one energy going down to one. And that will let us deal six damage. And we're no longer concealed. With that six damage, we'll knock this rat down to four health. Next up, we'll play our conceal to conceal ourselves again. So, we're at one energy. We've played one, two, three. Okay. We've played three cards that didn't cost us any energy. So, it wasn't a prepare, I should say. So, I'm going to play focus. That will cost us one prepare. We've or one energy. Then, we're going to draw two cards and gain two energy. So, our next card is an intel. And then we have Sting like a bee. Oh, I can't discard three cards. That is absolutely terrible. So, I think I am going to play Acrobatics. That's two prepares. I've used up all of my energy. That gives us one whopping block and we get to draw two cards. So, we have gaining more block. Do I have anything that's going to give us energy?

No advantage. Oh, you know what we do have though is this advantage. It's zero. It's draw one card and I need to shuffle up. We've now shuffled. We can draw one card and if concealed, we can draw another and then play one of them for free. So, that's a reckless attack and that's a well-laid plan. Yes, we can play one for free. Let's play this. That is dealing five damage. Uh, and then we have to discard two. Dealing five damage is enough to take out the rat wizard. And then that would allow us to refresh our market row. I think I'm okay with the way it is. We then have to discard two cards. Let's discard our intel. So that means the next card we play is free. And we're going to discard this one, which gives us two energy.

Then I guess we can play this for free, gaining three block plus the one that we have. So that's four block. Uh, I don't I think did I use This is where it gets kind of crazy. I don't think I actually used my conceal. Well, let's say I did because I can't remember. And then I have this one that I can't play cuz I can't discard the three cards. That is a cost. So, I'm just going to discard it. Wow. I think I played almost my entire deck. This is all that I played in one round. Let's discard and draw. We had exactly six cards in our deck. So, this is what we have. All we have left is this Spider Witch. And of course, it does activate. We have four block. We're attacked for six damage. So, we take two. So, we're at 19, 18, 17. We're at 17 damage. We do not have three crystals, but we do have weak applied on us yet again, just for the next attack that we do. And with the circle, we now have four total crystals. All minions will gain the two block. We'll just give the spider witch the two block. Again, we're not at five, so all minions do not gain strengthen. We'll then discard this intent card. There's only a couple left in this deck. This one's either a circle or a diamond. The first two rounds against these minions were pretty easy, but this third round's been fun. We're going to start with stealth, going down to two energy. We're going to conceal ourselves and draw a card. That means I have to shuffle. We've shuffled up our deck. We're going to draw acrobatics.

That's not wonderful. That was an ambush card, but I had to play it in order to get the effect. I then think we're going to spend another energy to gain two block for this round. And because we're concealed, we'll draw two cards. So, we get well-laid plans and we get just our basic block. Looking at our hand, we don't have a great way to discard any cards. So, I think the last thing we're going to do, we can only play one more card. Shank them. Dealing nine minus one. It's going to just be eight damage flipping our conceal. Eight damage minus two is six and he has 11 health. So just go to five health remaining. Okay, we're going to discard that mitt of cards that we could not use. And then we're going to draw six cards. This time we definitely have some good damage.

Specifically, the sting like a bee should be good enough. We are though going to have to resolve this. Okay, great. No minions going to activate, but unfortunately we are going to gain two crystals and we're now at six. And at four or more, we apply weak. So once again, we are weak. We'll have to reset our block. That's okay. I can deal the 12 damage and just kill this guy. Here we have our 12 damage. We'll discard these cards. It's plus one because of our strength, minus one because of our weak, but he only has five health remaining. That will end this phase. This means all that we have left for wave two is a boss fight. Okay, we could clear our entire row. Uh, and then we gain two cards. I was really missing some discard abilities. So, I don't think I'm going to do the clear. I'm going to gain the sound of wind because that lets us discard two. And then we have discard X and that gains us energy.

This one also. Oh, actually deals damage based on the energy of the discarded cards. copy of effects and cost of the last card played. Now, I haven't talked about finale. Finale means if this card is played as the last card in your hand, you can actually play it again. So, you could copy the effects and costs of the last card played. And you could do that twice. And if ever you get to play a card a second time, the cost of that is free. Although, this does copy the last co. So, I don't I'm not entirely sure how that works in this one. I I don't know if you have to pay the second time. So, let's just not get that one. I don't want to have to try and figure that out. Uh, discard X. I think based on what I recall, you can activate this in any order. So, I think I am going I've gained one card. I'm now going to refresh. And now I can gain one additional card. And I like this target practice. It's a prepare card. Deal four damage to an enemy and three damage to another. And we get to do that twice if it's the last card that we play. So, yeah, let's put that into our deck. I was feeling like I needed more attacks.

thousand jabs. Deal two damage when you play a card. That would have been awesome. I play so many cards. I want that one really bad. We've now shuffled up our cards and drawn six of them for the next round. We got our backstab and attack. Oh, Acrobatics, Shadow Wisdom, and Disappear. We'll remove this card. And now for our final boss fight, everyone is going to have three additional health. And for one round, they'll have two additional block. We now have to flip the horde side to the guardian side. And don't forget, we refresh our crystals. So, the guardian is so big, it takes up all three minion spots. So, instead of them being in a minion here or a boss that we have to have here with minions, we're going to use three pieces of the guardian based upon their color. The color tells us these are the level twos. There's a level three one here that's black and the orange ones are level one. You can ignore the health here. Each one of these is going to have 20 health because we're on day two. It'll be 25 for day three and 15 for day one. Here we have the three parts of the guardian. Left arm, right arm, and red head. Now, you're going to see I actually swapped these over here to have this be the right arm. That's how it's set up in the rules, and I'm assuming they want the right arm to activate more often. That's why that one has two symbols. So, I set those up. Normally, it's random. It doesn't matter, but I'm not sure with this one. I'm going to set it up that way. They all start with 20 health. The

kicker is the challenge card adds three health to them. So, it's 23 23 23. They each start just this round with two additional shields. So, this one will regenerate to block each time. This one is one and that one is zero. Now, each one of these when we defeat them, they'll be flipped over to a rebel side. And my goal is I have to have all three of them at rubble, but they might remake themselves from what I understand. If that happens, I can discard one crystal, which is good. And then they come into play with a certain amount of health. It'll be five health times what day it is. So, since it's day two, they'll come back into play with 10 health. We only have one more intent card. It's this one. After this one, we'll shuffle them up. So, it's either going to be the square or circle that's activating. I don't think I'm able to stop any of these. These ones are apply weak or deal damage equal to the number of crystals and then apply exposed. Oh boy. Let's see what we can do against this boss. I think I'd like to have a free round this time. So, I'm going to use the hero's brew. Any hero may discard their intent card. So, this one, which would have activated the square, is going to be discarded. That inherently means there's going to be no enemy round this time, but that potion is then discarded. Worth it. That means let's sting like a bee, shall we? We have to spend two energy and we'll discard these three cards.

None of them have ambush effects, so they don't do anything cool, but that will allow us to deal 13 damage. Let's go for the right arm. So, we're going to remove the two block. That's 12 11. So, that's 11 damage. So, 10 11 down to 12 health. Then, let's disappear. We are going to have to discard this card. We become concealed and then we'll draw a card. The next card you play is free. Oh, that's terrible. Was hoping for something better. I can't play anything else. At least I'm concealed. And I think I can leave it that way because I'm not going to take any damage. I'm just going to discard all these cards and draw six. When we do that, we have our shadow block, welllaid plans, advantage, stealth, clever attack, and shadow tactics. Now, there's no enemy phase because we have no uh intent card.

So, we'll just shuffle up the intent cards and then give ourselves one. The one we will draw is this one, which is either a circle or a diamond that will be activated. We can then start our turn. And I think without a doubt, let's start with this one. I know it costs us one energy. We're down to two, but it gives us two block. And it lets us draw two more cards. And we have focus. And we have conceal. We're then going to play advantage. Draw a card. We are concealed. We get to draw two. We have a target practice or we have a block. Now, we're definitely going to do the target practice. We can play this card for free. Deal four damage to an enemy and three damage to another. We're not doing this as a finale, so we're only going to do that once. I've reset our block on the boss. Four damage here. One, two, three, four. And then three damage on the head. One is to remove this. And then we'll go two, three. So, we just need to deal eight more damage to turn that right arm into rubble. And it's so easy to forget strengthened. One more damage to each of them. So, the red head is now at 20 and the right arm is at seven. Our next card we're going to play is conceal. Well, we're already concealed, but I'm doing that because then we can play our focus. And that's going to be for free. That's a prepare card. It's going to give us two energy going from two to four. And we can draw two more cards. Yes, that's a reckless attack. And a shank. Let's just use that

right now. Going down to three. We're concealed. We're no longer We're dealing nine damage. That's going to take out the right arm. When we take out the right arm, it deals two damage to another boss or another minion. I'm going to deal the two damage here to the red head. So, it's at 18 health. And now it has a power. Remove one crystal. Flip card and rebuild with five health. Okay, let's see. Do I need to put Oh, remove one crystal. That's its power if it activates. No way. And it's likely going to activate. Oh, interesting. I wonder if removing a crystal is a cost. I'm going to say I think it is. Uh because if I don't have any crystals, then it can't rebuild. That's how I'm going to play it. I could be wrong. I'm going to deal five damage, but I'm going to discard two cards. That's going to cost us an energy. So, we're going to go down to two. I'm going to discard well-laid plants, which gives us an ambush of two more energy, going back up to four. She is insane. And then I'm going to discard this one, which also has an ambush effect, which will let us conceal and draw one card. So, we will draw this one, the sound of wind. The five damage, 1 2 3 4 five, will be to the red head, which only has 13 health. We then can certainly play the shadow tactics for free. We're already concealed, but we can draw a card. And we have the silent attack. I then think we're just going to play the clever attack. Going down to three energy, dealing three damage to

the red head. One, two, three. It's at 10 health. Then I'll gain myself three block plus the two I had before. So that is a total of five. And then I have this one. I can deal two damage. That'll knock him down to eight health and then conceal. I'm already concealed and I can't play this card because I don't have enough to discard. That does mean my entire deck has been played. Let's shuffle this and draw. We drew our intel shadow tactics conceal well-laid plans, acrobatics, and disappear. We now have to activate one of these two enemies. It's going to be the red head that activates. The red head is going to deal us two damage. We've got more than enough shields. Oh, I threw that in the wrong pile. And then we have deal damage equal to the number of crystals. I don't have any crystals yet, but the ability here is rebuild the leftmost rubble. So, I I do think it's rebuilt. I don't know exactly how that works. We're just going to say it's rebuilt. Comes back with 10 gosh darn health. Man, this is going to be hard. Okay, we're going to discard ourh block. Let's see how much damage we can deal this time. The first card we'll play is disappear. We're going to discard well-laid plan. That will actually give us a total of five energy.

We can draw a card and conceal ourselves. Oh, that's our clever attack. So, we are concealed. Then, let's see. Do I have anything else that lets us discard? Of course, I don't. But I do have this. Gain one block. And then we will spend only one energy for this going down to four cuz we played a non-prepare card before this. We get to draw two cards. We have a focus and we have target practice. Oh, I like target practice. I almost forgot. I need to draw my intent card. It's this one. Square or triangle. Why don't we spend one more energy going down to three? We are already concealed, but this will let us draw another card. Wow, we have too many conceals now. Oh, this costs one. Let's just use it.

We're down to two. We can draw a card. And we have backstab. There we go. I'm going to go down to one. We're going to deal five plus this. That's six damage. I think what my plan is is to get both of these to rubble and then they'll come back, but then they'll be at most at 10 health. So, six damage knocks this down to a two. We then only have one energy left. Let's use that for clever attack to take out that red head. And then we are going to conceal. I forgot last time about his shields. That should put us up to three, but that will deal the plus one damage because of my strengthen. Red head is done. And we'll gain for ourselves another potion. Deal three damage to all enemies. This that is amazing against this guy. We're definitely going to be using that. We'll then discard our cards and we'll draw back up to six. And I am concealed.

Fortunately for us, our health is doing pretty good. So, I'm going to keep that concealed. So, hopefully I can deal more damage. The intent for this one is the triangle. That is going to deal us four damage. We have one here for one block. So, we take three. We're at 25 or actually, no, we're only at 17. What am I saying? We take uh what? Three damage. One, two, three. We are at 14 health. Remember how I thought I was doing fine? I forgot I took a hit. A triangle is draw a minion. They activate, then get discarded. So, we have the rabbit mage. We're going to take three more damage. One, two, three. We're down to 11 health. Then they activate. We gain our first, no, gain one strength. I'm assuming that that would happen.

Triangle. That would happen to the right arm. So, the right arm is going to have one more strength. It's now going to attack us for five. We don't gain any crystals. We don't have five. So, that doesn't happen. We'll just discard this. We'll now draw the top card of the intent deck. It's a circle or a triangle. For our first card this round, we're going to play the shadow block, gaining ourselves two block. Then, because we are concealed, we get to draw two cards. So, we have shank and we have sound of wind. I think without a doubt, we have to do our sting like a bee. But that's all three of our energy because we spent one for that card plus two more. Do I have any? I don't have any prepares in my hand and I don't have any ambushes in my hand. So, it doesn't matter what I discard. I'm going to discard three cards. We're dealing 13 damage. I definitely need to go for the left arm. So, 13 12 11 11 damage. Boom.

Boom. Down to 12 total health. Nothing is going to help me in my hand, so I'm just going to discard it. I'm still concealed, I think, because I didn't use it for an attack. So, I'm just going to draw. And I only have two cards in my deck, so I have to shuffle. We've drawn up our six cards. I do have my sting like a bee again. That's going to be awesome for the minion activation. Let's see who's going to activate. It's the triangle. So, this one, she's going to attack me for five. So, I'm definitely going to use my conceal. Flipping it over. So, I'm taking the attack divided by two. So, four divided by two is two. I've got two here. So, I'll block that hit. That triangle though will cause us to draw a minion. This is a turtle warrior. He's going to attack us for four, but we use conceal, so it's only two. One, two. We're down to nine health, you guys. This is awesome. Uh, then he has a guard and react. I don't I think the react goes off because he dies. So, we do gain one crystal. That's our second crystal. Then we'll just gain our next intent card. It's another square or diamond. Moving back to our hero step, we are going to play Sting Like a Bee yet again, discarding three cards. Well, we're going to discard well-laid plans to get two of that energy back. So, we're back up to three and our block here. And we have to discard one more card. I think we're going to discard our backstab. So, that deals 13 damage. 13 damage minus two is 11. So, that will put this guy down to

one health. We almost took him out. We're then going to play advantage. Draw a card. We're not concealed, so that'll go into our hand. Hey, guess what? We can play that because we've played two non-prepared cards. Gain a block and we'll draw two cards. So, we will draw reckless attack and we will draw shadow block. Neither of those help us become concealed. So, I think I'm just going to use this for my final three energy. And because it's my final card, I get to activate this twice. Deal four damage. So, that's going to be five damage to one and four damage to another twice. Wait a second. We might have just done it. Five damage. We'll deal five here and four. We take out the left arm. That would give us two block. Let's grab that just in case. And then we can deal five damage to this guy. Oh, he has a react ability to gain a strength. I think I totally missed that a few times. He should have I attacked him twice. He would have gained two more strength here and those would have stayed even when he became rubble. Yeah, I don't know. We kind of messed up at the end. It's a lot to track, but I do think especially with this revive and I looked up what immune meant, we wouldn't be able to take damage for the rest of the round once we use this for us dying. So, I think we maybe could have been okay. I also was planning on using this and just dealing three damage across the board. That would mean we took out the guardian.

I've got to say, I absolutely love this game. If you love the idea of leveling up your deck quite quickly, having some one-off abilities, some uh having these cards that really change your deck, and you can just see, I mean, there's so many of these cards and they're all unique. I love that. And there's two heroes in here right now. And four of these different bosses. The goblin one is the one you haven't seen, and the necromancer. The necromancer has zombies that show up and the goblin dude has bombs when you fight him, which is very interesting. They go into your deck and you have to diffuse them. Yeah, I just feel like it's a very clever game. Like I said at the beginning, after about 10 to 12 plays, you might get a little tired of this one, but that's where with the expansion adding two more heroes and four more boss sets, this is going to be good for a while. One of my favorite parts about this game is look at the size of this box. It's tiny. When you think of Slay the Spire, it's a huge game. This gives you that fun Slay the Spire feeling in a much smaller box, and the heroes are quite fun and unique. I'm really excited to see the other two.

Hopefully, this helps you determine if this game is for you. I want to give a huge shout out to our patrons and subscribers. It's because of you that Barrett and I do what we do on this channel. And if you're excited to see what Barrett and I have coming next, then I need you to meet me at the table. Goodbye, everyone. to fill me up with all your energy. It's your master. Enemies.
