Your cat just sabotaged your spell again. Today we're taking a closer look at Doomcat, the roll and right game that's perfect for spooky season. In Doom Cut, you play as a witch trying to cast spells, but your mischievous cat keeps knocking over candles and meddling in your plans. On a turn, one player rolls three dice. Each player picks one number to write at the top of a sigil card, draws a line between the other two numbers, and crosses out the number they marked at the top. Dice get passed around until the sigil cards are full at the top. Once completed, points are tallied based on variable scoring cards, which were drawn at the beginning of the game. Whoever scores the most wins.

While Doomcat is easy to learn, it's full of interesting decisions. Choosing which number to write and how to connect the others impacts the rest of the game. The variable scoring cards are awesome. Every play feels unique, keeping you coming back for more. Doomcat is extremely portable. Each set comes with three dice, two markers, and a small deck of cards. You can play two players with the single set, or combine sets to accommodate more. It's simple enough for a quick game on the go, but still satisfying for strategy fans. Doomcat is light and fast. A game will wrap up after just 14 die rolls. The depth is all about maximizing those points rather than exploring complex mechanics. And while the witchy theme fits the spooky season perfectly, in my opinion, some players might not find the magical motif enjoyable.

Overall, Doomcat is a fantastic addition to a spooky season collection. It's portable, quick, and strategic in all the right ways. I can see this being a travel staple as well as a seasonal favorite for spooky nights at the table. Would you let Doomcat sabotage your spells or keep your magic safe from feline interference?
