Seeker of Spells Live Play

The Dice Tower Jun 21, 2026
Transcript 37:46

Welcome back. We have our last game of the spectacular, guys.

It's going to be a little sad to be done with this,

is it?

Yeah.

Yes, the answer is. Yeah, it's been pretty spectacular.

It has. So, today we are going to be playing Seeker of Spells by Mindwear. Um, and so this is a family weight game. I think it's 10 plus. And in this game, we are all mushroom wizards. And we are going to the grandcellium games where we are competing and fighting for all the spell books. And so the person with the most points from their spell books is going to be the winner.

Whoever eats the tastiest books wins. Right.

Yeah. Right. All right. So, let's go ahead and focus in down here. And I'm going to do a brief explanation of the rules. Uh Chris and I've had a chance to play, but these these rules are for you, Mike.

All right. I need all the help I can get. Give them to me.

All right.

I hate mushrooms, by the way.

So, we all have two wizards on the board. One in our corner. One in Oops, that's supposed to be the opposite corner of

ear.

And what we're going to be doing is we are simultaneously all going to pick one of these direction cards from our hands. And they follow the north, south, north, southsoutheast, east, west of the board.

Mhm. Never eat soggy waffles. It stuck with me for a while,

right? Never. Yeah, I did soggy waffles or salty waffles. Those are bad, too. Unless they're cheesy,

I guess. Put some sausage on that sucker. All right. Sorry.

Sausage waffles. Yes. Okay.

All right. All right. So, we're going to simultaneously reveal a direction and then in turn order, which Chris has the first starting turn order, he would then take a turn moving each one of his wizards in that direction.

When you move that direction, so he would be moving west. Uh you stop whenever you reach a space that has something on it, either a person or a spell book, and then you collect that spell book or you're going to steal the top spell book from the player that you land on their space,

right? If you land on another wizard.

Yeah, if you land on another wizard, you steal their spell book.

Now, the other thing that you're going to be doing as you move, if you notice, Chris has this cool uh little portal right here.

If you happen to move onto a portal, you're going to jump across the board to the other portal. And you know what? The blue one is kind of hiding. Do you see where it is?

The matching blue portal.

There we go. Right there. So, Chris could jump all the way to the portal and collect that book if he happened to be going that direction.

Um, if you ever go through a portal Whoops. I'm breaking the game. I'm pulling a mic right there.

Um, okay. So, if I, let's say we jump through the portal and we were going this way, we're going east, we would continue moving east outside of that portal until we hit something. So, just always keep going in the direction you were going. Always, unless you happen to hit one of these little shining barriers right here. These are mirrors. And so let's say I'm moving south with this character and I hit this shining barrier. Well, I don't stop because it's not a stopping barrier, but instead it's a mirror and I'm going to bounce off of it and start moving in the opposite direction. I might hop through that portal and continue moving in that same direction and collect another book.

All right,

that's a lot of movement.

It's pretty exciting.

And as things clear out, you're going to move way faster.

You're going to move way farther. Yeah, initially more. Now, there are these barriers here that have these little markings on them. These mean stop immediately. Your turn is over. If there's a book on that space, great. You get to collect it. But if not, then you're just stuck and you're done.

So, for example, the brilliant Mr. Chris, who in this example played a westerly movement with his his mushroom wizards, immediately runs into that wall and does nothing.

Good job, Chris.

I think I'm thinking you're not going to pick uh West.

Maybe not Wes so much. Yes. Now, there are a few more rules uh about movement in seven. As we get to it, we'll go ahead and reveal those. Um but the goal of the game or the way that it ends is it's going to end when there's only one red book left or someone has a stack of 15 books. Now, there's also, if you want to hop in here, Joey, on my little

stack of 15 of these books.

Yep.

Yeah. 15 of any of all books. Yeah. All colors. Now, over here, this says how the different colored books score. So, red books are no good. They do trigger the endgame, but they are minus one point each. The green books are worth three points each. Purple books are worth one point, and you gain a spell card when you collect them. Now, these spell cards are pretty awesome. They give you different abilities and stuff. And you can move use those kind of whenever you want to um and when they're applicable. I'll just tuck that.

They're also looks like they're worth points as well. They're worth points if you don't spend them.

If you don't spend them. That was gonna be my question.

Good question, Mike. All right. And then the blue are worth a ton of points, but you have to give a spell card to someone that has the least amount of books of one of your opponents.

Oh, you have to give it to them. They don't have to draw.

Well, they just draw one. Yeah, but you you choose if it's like tied.

You choose if it's tied.

Mhm.

And then the gold books are terrible at the beginning. They're worth negative points initially and then eventually can become a lot of points if you can get more than just a couple.

All right,

so let's go ahead. So, we're going to play this first round. Um, and we can all see how this works. So, just so you know, Mike, as well, when we play a card, we're going to play a card each round.

The subsequent round, we don't draw this up yet.

So, you have less to choose from each round until the end of the round when you only have one card left. Then, you get them all back.

Okay. Let me ask you a question.

Oh, yeah.

Mhm.

Axel away.

Ends of the boards are considered to be basically walls.

Oh, no. They actually rotate all the way around.

What?

That's an amazing question, Mike.

This is magic. We can totally make a round world.

Huge. Okay.

Yep. You just keep going in that same direction.

Magical global world that you speak of.

Yes.

All right. So, we're all doing this simult. Yes. Simultaneously. Wow.

Wow. I'm in a pickle of a mess here

already. Who set up this board? Oh, wait. I did.

All right. All right, reveal it.

Reveal.

All right, so starting Chris has the the player token to start with.

Yes, I got the land. So, all my fellas are going to be moving Easterly. So, to exactly your point, Mike, this guy's going to wrap around this way. Uh, no, I'm going to move this one first because green books are three points.

And I'd rather collect that first.

Yeah,

because when you collect books, you stack them up on top of each other. So, my purple goes on top my green. If someone tries to steal from me, like a certain purple player, moving in a southerntherly direction,

you can't be stealing my green book.

I didn't even know you were going to be there. Honestly, I would have rather have just had the green book.

Now, less stealing sound unfair, there is also the benefit of drawing a magic card, which we'll cover when we get to your

Shouldn't you get one right now?

You should get one right now for drawing a purple.

I draw a purple.

Now, the thing is, if you steal a purple, you don't get the magic card with it.

Well, that's garbage.

Yeah. You just get the single lowly point,

but the person who gets stolen from draws a Magic card. Is that correct?

Yes.

All right.

Oh, this is terrible. You literally put it so that I'm hitting you. I'm getting your green and your purple.

I mean, it's not a bad thing. You're still getting Oh, you're hitting both of my

Yeah, I wasn't my plan. You moved them both there. I don't like that, Mike.

I'm sorry. Fine. All right. So, I'm done now with my move.

Okay. Well, I'm going to move west. And both of mine go the same direction. get you the same book. So, you got two purples and two cards.

Two spell cards. Oh, these are juicy.

So, I actually obviously don't go into your spot. I just stay where I'm at.

You I think you do crash into me.

Okay. So, I we're both on the same spot.

Uh-huh. And we are laying these down for the camera, the overhead camera sake. So, they you know, you can stand multiple of them in the spot, but yeah, they're

all right. I will take the purple.

Mhm.

And I draw a compensatory magic card. And I will take

two word right there.

Okay. Zoink

actually.

And you you could have done this.

I'll do it. I will do it in the opposite order. Thank you.

And I draw another magic card. Now, there's no limit on magic cards in hand.

Mhm.

And as you can see, and I'm just showing this off for camera. These are worth points. And so if I just keep holding on to these for the whole game,

I mean, I'm going to have points.

And so now you um Does that pass now?

Yeah. So it's the end of the round. This is gonna pass.

Okay.

And then because we still have more than one card in hand, nobody draws up. And then we're going to choose our next direction to go.

Also, Mindware Mindware, the publisher here is in the chat. So, if you have questions, feel free to pop them over to them. Thank you all so much for being here.

Yeah, thanks for coming.

Oo, this is good.

Oh, and we should know what everyone You've already played your east card.

You played south and Wendy's played west. So, yeah, we can't repeat these,

right? which is important to me.

Unless you have magic spells, Mike, which change things up.

Oh, true. True death.

You know what? Yeah, that's what she's doing.

Um,

it's a good choice.

See, here's the thing to keep in mind, Mike. If you and I pick the same direction right now.

Yeah.

Say that you move this way.

Yeah. Well, I can't actually copy, but yeah, but because of turn order, you would go first and then I could steal from you,

right? But I was thinking, well, I'd be safe going east cuz you

actually

have not you you've already played it, but you're saying you might have some spell that

there might be some ways.

There's ways.

There's a If there's a spell, there's a way.

Mhm. Okay.

Yeah. Spells let you do cool things like hop over books or play different spell cards for different characters or

treat treat some of these boards.

Rotate the tiles. Treat these as if they were portal of a color. Yeah, there's a lot of

Okay.

Lot of effects.

All right. Well, I don't have a whole lot of choices. I think I'm going to have to do this.

Okay. So, we're set.

Mhm.

And we're going to reveal them all.

All right. I am going north. And I'm going north. Boonk. I'm hitting that mirror, rotating all the way down here, and I'm collecting this green.

Yeah.

And then I'm going north right here and collecting this green.

Couple of greens.

Go on top of there.

I'm winning. I like getting points. Fun.

They're hiding my number in my level one.

Green.

Okay, I am next. I will go.

You're like the person who has like a $20 bill wrapped around a bunch of singles.

Yeah.

Yeah. I will go blue. I'll go here first. RIP.

And then the opponent with the least spell books.

Chris has zero. So

I guess that's him. Well, I have zero, too. But it has to say opponent.

No, you have three spell books. What you talking about?

Oh, I thought it was spell cards. Got it. And so then I will go here.

If it was spell cards, Chris would not be drawing a new one.

Would not be.

And then go. Yeah.

All righty.

Okay. I'm going south. Blue. Yeah. Blue.

And that's that is me, right? Cuz you have more than I do.

We both have four.

Oh, I see. Yeah.

So, Chris gets to pick.

Oh, I get to pick. And

who does he hate

How many spell cards do I have? Zero.

Zero. So, Mike,

ah,

you stole from me, though. But you have no amazing spell cards. So, it's

Yeah, I'll let you have this one. I'll let you have your day. Um, and then I'm going to move south with this fella,

little fella there.

And that draws myself a spell card so much.

It does. All righty.

All right.

And around we pass this along. Nobody has only one card left in hand,

so we do not draw back up. And so we are going to pick our next direction.

We are.

Ooh.

Ooh.

Ooh. Ooh. Indeed.

Don't like that.

Ooh, indeed.

I don't like any of that.

Ooh. Uh uh.

Boom. Oh, okay. I do kind of like that.

I don't know if I like this.

This is rough.

We're a little sticky.

Boom. Boom. That's okay.

Actually, I am going to go ahead and play this spell right here. Joey, do you mind playing any area?

Well, this is applicable right now.

Uhoh.

Get a little zoom in right here. All right. So, this says play two direction cards, one for each wizard. So, I'm going to actually play both direction cards in my hand right now.

Oh, that's gnarly.

Yep. I'm going to discard that puppy over there.

And Mike is first. He holds the lantern. first. He is first. So, I think what I'm going to do. Yeah. Oh, man. I don't like this spot I'm in at all. This is terrible. Okay, I'm going to go here. Can we flippy?

Okay.

Going west.

I'm going west.

If you can move me to that portal and then jump me to right here.

Zoom. Very nice.

Thank you.

Mhm. And then this one does nothing, unfortunately. It just goes and hits that wall.

There we go.

All right.

All right, Chris. What you got?

Oh,

are you moving south? Cuz that would be amazing.

I am not moving south. I did consider it uh No, actually, what I considered was moving north and then bouncing off of this and then effectively moving south. And I thought I can't do that

uh because that would be bad. So, I'm going to come this direction. I'm blue. Moving west.

So, I get another one of them spell cards.

You do.

Uhhuh. And I'm going to then move this direction. West wrap around.

Okay. Okay.

Big card strat. You do.

I like all the spell cards.

All right. So,

as a heads up, Mike, well, I'm going to finish my turn in a second. As a heads up, you're going to start on a portal.

Yeah. And so you get to choose at the beginning of your turn whether you want to go through that portal before you move your direction or if you want to move your direction. Just start thinking about that. Yeah,

that's awesome.

All right, so I'm using that cool spell card that I played. And I'm going to use this wizard to go south and get this awesomeness right here. And it looks like Chris gets another spell card.

I only have four books.

Oh my goodness.

Pity me.

My goodness.

And then this wizard is going to go east. He's gonna hop through the blue portal to Mike and take my little green spell.

I get a spell at least, right?

You do get a spell out of that.

You notice that she could have done that first.

Mhm.

And then taken the taken the blue, which would have given you a spell, but she said no.

Yeah. No, no, she wants to give it to O.

She wants to give it to um 12 points in hand, Chris. That was my nickname in high school.

Yes, that's what I was going to say. You're sitting on a lot of points there.

All right, end of the round. Uh you guys are down to one card. I have zero card, so I'm going to go ahead and draw back up. We get follow again.

I get the lantern. Okay, so Wendy will be before me, so I know where she's going to go.

Do you?

I do.

Do you?

I do. And that means I could potentially steal it.

Could you? Could you?

Oh, I think I could.

Oh, this is really interesting.

Is it?

Oh, yes it is.

Chris, you have a bunch of really sad books. Like if I went and tried to steal something from you,

I don't even want your Yeah. I don't want anything from you.

Not the first time I've heard that in my life.

You also get to decide whether you want to start there or up there, right?

Yes.

Uh oh, yeah.

I also get to choose if I want to.

Well, that changes something a little bit.

I think I'm going to play this one.

Mineware. Are you watching this play that I'm about to pull off? Because I think you're gonna wanna to to use this as like a textbook example of excellent play.

Wow. That's I mean, you're you're uh

that head is just growing and growing and growing.

Thank you. I need to fit into Tom's hats.

Are we ready?

Yes.

All right,

do it. So, I'm starting and I'm going northerly. Uh what I like about this a lot is that I'm going to move north with this guy. bounce off of this barrier

and come back down here. Take one of them little golden books.

Then you go to Then I'm going to go to this portal. Which portal is that?

Wait, does this not give you a portal first?

What? No, you take there's a book there. You take the book and then you're done.

Okay.

Uh, so I'm moving north up here and I join the little doggy pile that we have going.

So you said you're stealing from both of us. Would you like green first or green?

Is it actually both?

It's actually both. It is.

Yes.

Oh. Um, yeah.

Oh,

I don't have the fewest books anymore.

No, this is disgusting.

Thanks.

All right, that was it.

And that was it. Chris,

that was me.

Just a bunch of pain. All right, I am moving south.

Mhm.

Got to move Chris out of the way. Bouncing south onto this little uh barrier here. And I'm going to take this golden little golden book.

You're taking my little golden book?

Yeah. and my joke. I'm

going to take a little green one, too.

It's so nice and green.

Well, that's poopy. I don't like the green. I like the I like the yellow.

You know what, Mike? We didn't get

We didn't get our compilation prize.

Spell cards from when I stole from you.

Yes.

It's not stealing. It's uh It's It's borrowing.

Could be useful.

You guys are just wandering libraries and I checked out books.

Yeah. Yep.

That's all it is.

You mean to return them? So, boy, I'm I'm getting

very likely last game I was like, "Oh, I'm stealing stuff." And then when he just like,

"Yeah, this isn't great for me."

So,

your daughter also stole

um

innumerable books for me.

Okay, I guess I'm going north, so it just means I'm taking the green. If you can just move me on top of the yellow there.

Okay, Kazoink.

All right, so I take that green.

More spell cards for me.

Yep. And then I go north. I've just been stuck in this terrible spot here. Oh man.

All right.

All right. All right. All right.

And now that gets switched over, right?

Wendy's going first.

Oh, that is an interesting spell card. I haven't seen that one before.

All right. I

I feel a little bad for the people watching. Like there's such cool interest cards and I'm kind of hoarding them, but I'm definitely going to be playing a few of these for their abilities cuz it's so

they're real good. What do I want out of life?

Liberty, pursuit of happiness.

Yeah, something like that.

Something like that.

Mhm.

Mhm.

I don't like Mike going right after me.

No.

Hanging out on my space, taking my stuff.

No idea what you're talking about.

Oh, you know who you are.

So, to remind everyone that the endgame triggers are if someone collects 15 books or if there's only one of the red books left. They're really easy to avoid now, but when you start moving in massive straight lines,

they're harder to avoid.

Okay. I will play. This one.

Okay. All right. Reveal.

Okay.

East hat. You played what I thought you were going to play, Mike.

Did I?

Yes. Watch out.

Okay.

All right. So, I'm moving over here. I'm taking this quest.

I literally played the wrong card.

Wow. Wow. Seriously?

Yeah. You both You're like, "Ha, you played east." I was like, "Yeah, I was going to steal from you." Was that your plan?

Nope. I was going to go west the whole time. I'm a genius. Okay.

All right. Well, you got to you guys spell card, Mike.

That's fine.

You're welcome. You're welcome. This is a game for children and families. It says in the rule book you can take your whole turn back, right?

Yeah, it does actually.

Interesting. Okay.

Yeah, I think it's paragraph 95B.

Oh, okay. Well,

anyways, on that Oh, I don't know if I want to do I want to rotate now. I don't think it makes a difference now.

Yeah, never mind. I'm not going to use the card. Okay.

If you had gone west, I would have used this amazing card and it would have been fabulous.

If I had gone west.

Yes.

Uh oh. Okay.

If you had tried to steal from me,

don't you have yellow on the top

or no? What did you have?

No, I did. I did have yellow on the top and then I got a couple some books.

Okay. I'm confused. Okay. I'm sorry. You got different Okay.

I drew a purple. I draw a spell card. Your turn, Mike.

Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Um Oh, boy. Yeah. I'm going to do this. I'm going to move the wizard opposite the direction played. So, I wanted to have that flexibility. So, I'll take the purple from you.

Oh, I should have used the I had a cool thing. If you're going to

Well, the blue is what I really wanted.

Uhhuh.

And then I'm going to go here and get this purple

and come with another spell card.

Yeah, I've got some good spells. I promise, folks. I'm going to use them. too.

Yeah. So, I'm moving south to grab this. Now, this is my second golden book.

Um

Joey, if you want to cut one more time really quick to to the little scoring player aid here.

Um I'll explain why these I if you're chasing golden books, you don't want to end the game with one or two of them because that's negative one, negative four points.

Once you get to three or more, then they're all positive.

Then they're okay

kind of squares, right? Three of them is nine points for 16. So don't do like I did last game. Collect them early and then have all but two of them stolen from you.

This guy's moving south, but he's bouncing up north.

Mhm.

Coming up to that spot right.

It's all gravy.

All right.

Okay.

Everybody still has two at least two cards in hand.

Yep. Have at least two. And so you pass that

you pass this along so that Mike can steal Chris's green and then I can steal Chris's. Oh, no. You're going to get more stuff before.

Well, how would I steal his? I'm not in line with it.

I don't know. I'm just I'm just looking at his books. Yeah.

Salivating over his golden.

Mhm.

I should just go get my own books right now. Just as a heads up.

I'm at seven.

Okay. Okay.

Um Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Um, this one doesn't help me. I don't think. Oh, does it? Oh, maybe it does help me.

Let's do that.

I'm going to do this. Yes, I'm going to do this.

Okay.

Okay. So, Mike, you're uh resolving first.

Yep. Um, jump over one spell book with one wizard.

Nice.

He's jumping right over.

Oh, wait. I didn't know I'd be bumping into that.

No, no, you're grabbing this first.

Oh, okay. So, that will stop your move.

Perfect. Okay, that's good.

That's good. And then I'm going west with this one here.

Mhm.

And that gets me that one there and a spell card. A spell card.

Thank you.

Okay.

Got some nice books there, Mike.

I'm resolving.

Pretty nice. Pretty nice.

Westward movement. Yeah, I'm Oh, I'm going to resolve this one first. come in here to get my third golden book.

And then I'm coming this way with the green. So hopefully if anyone steals from me, it's not my good good golden book.

Okay. What did I play? North.

Yep.

Oo. Okay. So, here's what we're going to do. We are going to rotate a tile that I'm on 90°

because if I went north, I would just hit that. So, oh, I thought that was the tile.

Oh, yeah. This is the tile here.

Okay, that is bad.

Yeah, that would make you move into red.

That's just terrible.

90. Doesn't it say clockwise specifically?

Yep. Does it say clockwise? Counterclockwise.

Counterclockwise. Counterclockwise. Hey.

So, actually, you were here.

Y

and you're changing it to this.

Oh, I like this even better.

So, you're going to pop into that purple portal.

And where does the purple portal come out?

Zoom.

Nobody knows.

Where is the purple portal? Oh, right here. No, that was where

there's the red.

Right there.

There we go. On a golden book. See, I planned that from the beginning.

Yep.

100% knew that was what's going to happen. And then I go north here. Okay,

we're back to negative four points, guys.

All right, so I have we we're bringing these back, right?

Grabbing because we're down to one direction. I think all of us are back on the same

cycle as each other

cuz sometimes you can play magic cards that let you do two of them at once and stuff. So, you might

draw back at different times of other people.

Uh, the possibilities are endless.

Oh. Ooh, indeed. H

that's what I also was thinking the word huh actually.

Um I have a really cool really cool thing I can do here. Oh, I want to do it so bad. But I think it behooves me to wait one more turn. So, five, 10, 11. I'm sitting at 11 books.

15 is the endgame trigger.

It is.

Okay.

All right.

Best.

Okay. So, Chris, where are you?

Uh, I'm here and here. So, I'm going west.

So, grabbing another blue book. Uh, which of you has fewer books? I think Mike, right?

Eight.

Nine. Now, this person is going to be moving

west.

West.

So, he's going to come out here and hit that.

Come to this portal. Pop out. Oh, dear. Uh, and then, yeah, continue this direction, grabbing a purple book and a spell card.

And I'm at 13 books.

Oh, jeez. Okay.

All right. I'm going to move north. And I'm

uh Nope, you're not.

Oh, I'm not. What is it? Oh, what's Mike's What's your card effect here, Mike?

Look at you.

Select one wizard that takes a break and does not move.

That's funny cuz I was literally just going to collect that book and play that on you.

So now that wizard doesn't get to move either, but I'm going to move north here as well. And Mike has the leaks. You get another spell card.

Thank you. But I still one of my wizards will be going south.

Yes.

Um Okay. So that goes here and that puts me at a red where's the red portal come out or do I stop there cuz there was a book there.

Yeah, there's a book there so you don't have to

which is good because

Right.

You can optionally begin.

No, no, you don't you don't want to.

I think Chris may be ending it. Oh no, you went first. So I think next round is probably the last would be my guess.

Very well might be. Unless someone can steal from meal

because Yeah, you have to end the remedy with the rights.

That's right.

Okay, I'm going to do this. I'm going to You'll be going before me.

I will be going before you.

I know what you're going to do. Do you?

I do. Actually, I'm going to let you have it because it two yellow books is not good for me.

I love that you're telling me.

Oh, I know what you're going to do. telling me what you're giving me.

I know what you're going to do. I have no idea.

Um I need What is this?

I shouldn't telegraph that I'm about to play a magic card. That's bad.

Yeah,

just holding one out separate loosely. You know, it doesn't

I'm good at poker.

Interesting.

Okay. Okay. H.

We ready?

Low key.

I don't think so. Yes.

Let's flip them.

All right. Going north.

I'm going to go east with this.

That's west.

Do I mess up my east and west again?

You're trying to move this.

I'm trying to move.

That's west.

West. Okay. Moving west.

Mike.

Taking that. Mike gets a spell card.

Spell card. And then I'm going to play this spell card that says I can move my wizards in the directions adjacent to the one played. So I played west and I can do an adjacent one, which means I can go north or south. So I'm going to go ahead and go north with this guy right here.

Interesting.

Mhm.

H

I'm going tohead and make two piles here. Top pile is in the front. One, two, three, four, five. All right,

we go.

So, I'm going east, which is br

Okay. And then I am going east, which is Brip.

You were going for those spell points.

Well, I need something. I'm I'm I'm in pretty rough shape otherwise.

How many spell cards do you have, Chris?

I have a lot, but I'm going to I'm about to have two fewer. I only have two.

4 5 6 7. I have seven. This is the moment I've been waiting for, though.

Is it?

Yes. So, I'm moving north.

Uhhuh.

Which looks really foolish in a lot of ways.

Quite sad.

Uh, however, I'm going to spend two points. So, I'm spending this magic card right here.

Zoom out. So, I'm giving up the two points.

But I can move to an empty square of my choice. Then I continue moving in the direction that I played

with one wizard or both wizards

with uh I assume this is with one of the wizards, right? So, I'm going to move this one. That would collect this negative point.

Teleporting there.

Moving up north.

I'm now moving up north here. However, one more spell card, Joey.

I get to jump over a spell book with one of my whistles.

No. Do I have a note card? I don't have a note card.

And I'm going to take that little golden book from Wendy.

That made me so sad. I don't want it anymore.

Do you have your 15 there? That's 15.

Oh my gosh. He not only moved me from nine to zero, it was from 9 to -4 points.

Oh no.

Yes. Oh.

Oh, that's rough. It was my best play. I'm sorry.

And you're at 15, right?

I'm at 15.

That's the end of the game.

Yep.

Okay,

let's go ahead and count up our scores.

Okay, so these two negate each other. I'm I'm just going to go ahead and make this clear. This is a completely different showing from last time we played this with her daughter who destroyed me handily.

So, five of the golden books. I start with 25 points. This is really good.

I end with 33.

Okay. So, I have 20 here. There's so many spell cards, Mike.

29.

I have I have 53.

Wow. Gee whiz.

All right. Well, you won the Myelium Games, Chris.

Also, sorry. I I have more. Um Oh my gosh.

So, what? 275 points, I think, is what uh your final scores are.

64. It's my favorite console. Unless you guess whether I mean the Nintendo or the Commodore. Both classics.

Why are they both called 64? Is it like 64 bit processing? That makes sense.

And um

I assume there's some difference in technology between the Commodore and the and the Super or the Nintendo.

Yeah, I would imagine. Yeah.

64 Kibs.

Yeah.

Mike, did you have any cool spell cards that you wish you'd been able to use?

So, I was I was sitting on a bunch. Uh I thought this one might be Oh, sorry. I thought this one might be useful at one one point. Uh, use a portal as if we're a reflective barrier. I kept waiting to be able to use this as a ha gotcha type of a thing for somebody switching the order of the top two. Um, this was one I was waiting for someone to steal from me. U, you can steal from them, they can't steal from you.

Yeah,

I got a changing the direction 90° counterclockwise. Um, I got this one relatively late. This would have been very helpful to me earlier where I could have taken played direction cards back into my hand early.

I had another one of the swap. Um Yeah. And I had some repeats, you know. Um I didn't do any of the rotating. I saw you do it the one time.

Yeah.

Um that worked out well for you. Yeah. I was I thought I was going to be in a better position for yellows, but then that dream went away relatively quickly. So I was like, "Okay, pivot." I was actually hoping someone was going to steal that one from me.

Yeah. I accidented into a nice chain of them and the timing of pulling up the cards.

There's one really cool uh special or magic card I have over here that I was waiting for the right time to use it.

Move a wizard diagonally. So, if I played a nor like if I played a north card, I can move northeast or northwest.

And I assume that would mean even off the board.

Yeah. Yeah. So, you can wrap around. So, I was really I was really hoping I was like, "Oh, maybe there's a way I can be in a tight corner

and then, you know, move into a a better space. You can ignore a barrier."

Uh, which Yeah, like that's that's cool. Be able to move through walls. Yeah, that is nice.

Switch directions, rotate a tile. I couldn't find a right time to use that.

Um,

I had jump over two books.

Oh, wow.

Which is interesting. Um because there kept being moments where I wanted to jump over one book and get the one behind it. Yeah. But not the one two away or like there was a big gap like this and then I was like, "Oh no, it's just gonna take me back to where it was." Yeah.

I think Yeah. This this is a super powerful card. The u just pick a wizard. They don't move that turn. That's why it's probably worth zero points because it's such a powerful card.

They want you to play it rather than hold on to it.

And so yeah, that one I have to admit, sorry Wendy, that was fun to play. cuz I definitely got got a few times.

Oh my goodness. It's funny cuz I played mine on you that turn. I was like, I didn't need to do that.

No, Chris was definitely the one to worry about.

Yes. Yes. I should have you and saved it so you could too late to realize that.

Exactly. Next.

Not that I would have won,

but we're being slightly closer.

He was the most mushroomy of all mushrooms.

You were.

That's That's it. That's the mcelium festival. Horrible wizard.

Yes, these are nice. I really like the book tokens.

Yeah, they're like the

shiny

golden ones.

Yeah, pretty nice.

There we go. All right. Well, that is our last game, Seeker of Spells by MindWear. Um, this has been a good spectacular, y'all.

Yeah, you know, I'd venture to say it was spectacular.

I would.

It's right there.
