0:00 hello yeah we're back his part was it part 10-10-10 part of this week's part anyway yeah so we're back hand yeah we've we've been running through all the fighting fantasy books and then we looked at the rope and going the the original basic first edition role-playing game and then we looked at the first edition advanced fighting fantasy which sort built on the a really basic some basic rules written by Steve Jackson back in 1984 so one yeah we're fast forwarding that to 2011 and it's a guy called Gwen Botley he's got this company called Aryan games and he's decided to ask for the rights to reprint a second edition of the advanced foe fantasy we're all set and out in this video it's going to go through order books from then to now include the new ones and yeah us check it check out this this list of stuff board games

1:07 yes 2011 I'm Aryan games have they printed this second edition version of the fighting fantasy advanced voice I see cool rulebook and yes it's is we've gone of the traditional format fight we had fine fasiq looks dewy look small books but you had a boat moan about before week it's been the place for this nice I suppose isn't a foreigner today nicer more black book it's more manageable and it's it's really laid out really well and it's got all that it's called a cool rules in there you know the current character generations changed a little bit yeah so you've got a standard plot in a fantasy abilities of skill stamina luck and the way the game has changed is that you all characters now start with a skill force then the right luck eighteen zero magic and you get a pool of points to distribute amongst the skill stamina of life in them you can only add on a maximum of three points to skill board a stamina like seven points of magic so yeah so yeah year after that was printed that we came up with the hero's companion which is a extra roll set for and it's an extra rule so it gives you stuff about you know it's like a stuff on their body X percent empty so here's a most more magic rules stuff about high wings and men arms the stuff I and then you got her rules for when you when you level up quite a bit they've got balls

2:37 for holdings and dominions and things about wilderness adventures as well so we've really sort of fleshes the game out you've got a mass battle wolves in there as well which is sort of an interesting thing and what is it there's also a random wilderness map generator which it's not must touch so yes the game's been fleshed out it's like one of those walks up Thomas buried in deep tell us the hero's companion from 2012 so I mean when you've got a fool I see basically a full walk set what you do you need a full adventure and you've got the crown of Kings the whole sauce be epic put into one campaign adventure and this is absolutely phenomenal phenomenal but it's starts off with a chamois tactic he also goes into car I say perhaps in the other there was several servants and the crown of Kings appear obvious the whole thing and he's used he's got the rights to the John blanche art book in the book and it's a it's a fantastic fantastic thing you know I've just won one reason to dip your toe in the water this one pits to just to get all this because this everybody loves sorcery I mean I've done a little video in the last cut applause card likes that sorcery and Adam yes actually having a ban adventurous guy threw together through the campaign it is amazing yeah the crown of Kings one of his worth because the first adventure module for the advanced fire fancy second edition so yeah you gone through the source of FAQ

7:09 essential essential tool kit for the game and it really does expand the universe so to speak yeah beyond the pit another essential book in the series so this is a bit of an oddity this one yes it's the Titan herbal I mean you know you remember we haven't been looked to the hero in the next video we walk drive like it but and grab often grab motley area games they resurrected this this old game by Alexander Scott called Maelstrom and yeah this is similar in Maelstrom you got a load of herbs in the back of the book that you can use and stuff and I suppose I thought it'd be a good idea to introduce this into this game because it's a sort of corner of a similar thing where so yeah you got like loads of burning those are different herbs and things that you can find in the Titan world in there and yeah it's pretty good we have we back this all kick start up because we bless you this wave quickie key completionists and yeah it's a bit of an oddity there's nothing really quite like it really off seen before and yeah it gives you some rules and stuff and new rules and distribution tables in the back and it's the Titan herbal is strange strange entry into the series but yes it's part of what a fast universe and we've got it and it's on a shelf and maybe we will you will use it one day maybe route line but this there anyway yeah so I've got remember that and quite a fantasy universe Canon universe thing water

11:46 super cool for a as a standalone mini compiler was part of a larger epic this adventure has everything you would expect from the fighting fantasy lineage but yeah you got the cool Robert pylus of course and we haven't played it but we might play it or it might just sort us out for another 25 years who knows yet but it's there if you want it you can get this from Ariane games website I'll recommend you do do that if you're watching this get into quite a fancy advanced fighter sea because we want this to carry on and if people don't play the game or don't boys books then finish but it's a goddamn buyer do it so this is the last the last part of the puzzle well we're hoping it's not gonna be so open it's gonna make more books but this is we just received this last week and it was a recent Kickstarter it took bloody ages to get here and it's if I'm honest with ya I mean his the content is good but the execution isn't that great I mean look the pages they're cut really badly look I know what he's done I don't know what whoever printed it but it's cut really bad look at the top of the page it's not good enough for the money but it was delayed there was problems with the print I think and it's not the greatest quality book in the world I mean some of the some of the illustrations in this absolutely diabolical where's the one or found one like a map type finger this looks like it's drawn by two-year-old

13:17 yeah what's up can you see that it's terrible you know who drew that that's like the sky gang see in crayon drawing right demons of doom this one turns the whole fantasy the whole advanced bio fantasy on his head because you are now playing demons that are going after normal player characters what so you've got rules a tear or demon character creation 42 different demon forms in this one wow I didn't know that many demon new magical items laws for demonologists included new spells and rituals guides gods on demon focused campaigns and is even an introductory adventure in here missus this is really good one other questions and I know or anybody else of a religious persuasion but you remember back in D&D the indeed I swing left it this satanic panic yeah this is bound to stir up a few problems but probably because it's a niche products in independent this is the latest edition of this book in advance by a thirty second edition and we've got the Knights of doom picture on them with who buy on Tony how yeah apart from a few really crappy printing quality this one is really good so yeah so what type of it just tired you know because the ten video I mean how many houses are my my only only you
