Cult of the Lamb (A-) Final Grade - Now I Want to Play It!
Transcript
Final grade's going to be a solid one on this one. Cult of the Lamb the board game. Main image is so weak though. Like just relative relatively speaking. Like you you have a decent price. You have 81 bucks. It's 100 bucks. Okay. It's I okay. It is I don't know if I'd go decent price though I think about it cuz that is 100 plus bucks. And maybe it's just cuz he didn't sell me on the components until it took too long. And maybe it's because you had you got to level up up these stretch goals here. Like there's this is just an unruly freaking mess. Sticker sheets, spot foil, spot foil, new enemy type like it's just consolidate all that into one little billboard type thing and I think that would be really valuable for the page. But that video just absolutely killed it. I think if you were hoping to want to like this, I think that video just put your money into their wallet. So, let's get to a final grade.
Do I want it? Yes. If you're a Cult of the Lamb fan, I think after you get through that video, I think once you see those components, it's over. They're getting your money either at 60, most likely at the at least at the minimum one. Uh what is it? Not the minimum one. The deluxe one. 161 or 200. Wow, these prices are high. All right, but do I want it? Yes. That video was fantastic. You spotlighted what you needed to spotlight. You spotlighted the shipping really darn well and like how we're going to package it and how we package our previous game of throwing it onto the ground and that was very well done. Do I want it? Yes. Can you do it? Yes. Same thing. Rock solid track record. Now I am curious to see where their games are rated on BoardGameGeek.
Uh I can't spell that. Aqueduct. This is this is Should have looked that it Can do it? Yes. I'm not worried about this getting to you in any way, shape, or form. They have $2 million. $3 million. Good for them. Um is the game going to be great? It looks awesome. And here's the one thing about video game board games. Sometimes I find like I'm just like I it would just there's just so much more bookkeeping in the game. And yeah, you do really recreate the experience well, but at the sacrifice of just the ease of playing the video game, and I just want to play the video game. And I hope that's not the case with this one. And I wonder if other people they feel that way. I But here's the thing, I don't feel like video gamers think that way cuz they don't play board games as much.
But do I want to Yeah, I do. And I'm not the target market. And I feel like if you are, yeah. So, can they do it? Yes. Will it be great? I don't know. But I'm going to I'm leaning towards yeah. I think they're really going to make their fans happy on this one. Like just the deluxe-ification of everything, I think people are going to be wowed and want to be wowed, and they will be wowed. And then how much is it? Uh it doesn't feel great. The more I think about it, it doesn't feel great cuz that's $350 there. Shipped to the United States of America. And that's But it's so much stuff. And if you're a fan, it's done. So, yeah. Yeah. But the price just feels high. All right, final grade is B+ A- range, I'm thinking. That main image which I definitely feel like should be spruced up the stretch goals, uh beef that up, move up the pictures of all the the the pledges to where you showed me the prices.
But at the end of the day, I think I'm at an A- minus on this one. Like rock solid thing. I came into this having no interest of Cult of the Lamb at all, and now I want to play the game, and also play the video game. So, kudos to them, Massive Monster. I'm excited to see what they do in the future.
