Hey everybody, it's your old pal Rob. Uh, today we are going to be looking at a very dear friend's uh newest game. Uh those of you that are familiar with Fallen uh Dominion, great company, uh did Fallen Land, which is uh one of my favorite games. Uh and they are coming out with a new game uh coming to Kickstarter or Game Found. I'm not too sure. I will update you as I find out.
And that is going to be Killchain. It is a cyberpunk adventure into the future where you're trying to be the best criminal in the world and get at least 15 rep. Uh we're going to go down take a look at the components. Uh these are all prototype. Um but just know that this is coming real soon and if it's coming from Fallen Dominion, it's going to be great. Let's go down take a look at what you're going to be getting and and what you're going to be uh doing here. All right, let's go check it out. So, we're just going to go over the components and kind of try to explain a few things that are going to go on. You're going to be looking for this on uh Kickstarter. Uh right here is going to be your dark web board. Uh this is where the locations and markets. Uh this is going to be set in the middle of the table. Uh right above it is the shuffle. Uh you're going to have the development cards. These are cards that you are going to start developing different types of software and hacking material. You're going to have a whole bunch of different characters that you are going to be playing as. And as you can see, the art is actually really, really, really cool on this. Um, and some of these guys are just really, really cool. You're going to have your player board here, uh, which, um, that is, uh, going to be your player board. And there's going to be a very cool first player token. You're going to deal with a bunch of, uh, corporations.
And, uh, to show you that, I'm going to pull these out right here. Uh you'll have the military corp, the agricultural corp, uh big data corp, energy corp, and of course cyber cybernetics. You got to have cyber cyber technology if you're going to play in a cyber universe. Also, you're going to have your player board. Um and there is a lot going on here. Um if you notice, it's kind of like a memory slot here. Uh for here you are going to activate and install mods here. Okay. So you're going to have certain mods that you're going to put there. Uh over here you're going to have a dumpster dive. You dumpster dive. You can pay five crypto to look through uh the trash cards. Choose one and add it to your hand because you're going to be playing with a bunch of different cards here which are going to help and uh you're going to try to cause pain to others. Uh over here is your syndicate you uh unique location. Each syndicate has a unique power at this location. Uh and they're different colors and they will do different things. Blue all threats on your development track gain plus one. Green refresh uh one face down mod. Orange draw three cards. Yellow trash one card to gain crypto. Remember you want to gain crypto. Uh over here, these two slots right here is develop
one and develop two. You're going to pay crypto or uh and a certain amount of bits to create new threats that you are going to cause and and um um um attack and try to of course uh increase your reputation. uh over here uh which is uh alpha uh is a development track. Okay. Um this is where threats are placed and moved during your development phase. Right here is your beta which is um oh excuse me. Uh down here is uh your heat track. Um and what you're going to do is you're going to keep an eye you're going to track your the heat that you gain from developing threats or attacking targets.
And the more heat you have, you know, the better chance that uh people are going to come and pay you a visit. Uh and you really don't want that. Um over here, you're going to trash any cards that you don't want to have. And over here is where you're going to keep your deck and you're going to be drawing cards. Um and um that's going to take care of your player board. You're going to have workers here and what they're going to do is of course you're going to be putting these really cool little workers out, you know, kind of work replacement. And uh they are going to be doing certain and evil deeds. And of course, you're going to have your things to track your crypto and how much bits you have and of course how much heat you generate uh um in your network configuration. You'll have special cards uh for development. Okay. And then of course uh your worker actions, what they'll be able to do. Uh temp workers, syndicates, dark web, where they're going to be able to go and where you're going to be able to do certain things to increase your um threat to others. So, another thing that you're trying to do is you are trying to get as um each corporation has a bon has a bonus provided to the syndicate that has the most thread on it and you're going to be trying to raise the threat on on certain things here and they're going to give you different types of bonuses that are going to help
you um in in in a lot of ways. Uh for instance, you know, if for purple threat uh for purple um has three threats on Giga, but two are blocked by orange, ransomware and blue, denial of service. The corporation gains can be used as nonworker actions. However, once the corporate gains have been used, if it's flipped over and unavailable until the end of the round, so any kind of benefits that you get from um uh threats and stuff or or gains that you have here um once you use them, you cannot use them any further. And there are going to be many different ones on each uh different corporation that you're going to be trying to utilize to help you of course win the game by gaining at least the game is going to conclude when the player reaches 15 rep. Um and uh gaining rep requires syndicates to acquire crypto and time units for development and exploits. These exploits are then unleashed on different targets and that's going to help you raise your reputation. Winning the game is getting 15 reputation of course as I stated and there is a lot going on here that I don't even I I I can't even cover but this is going to be on Kickstarter. I wanted to show you all the uh the really nice and beautiful components here.
There are just so many things and this is only a prototype uh and it's just done absolutely beautifully uh for a prototype. So you're going to be getting, you know, some really really quality uh stuff here to play. And this is going to be, you know, a a a cyberpunk game. It's going to be anywhere from one, I believe, to at least uh five players. Um, and you are going to be able to do a whole bunch of, uh, different and unique stuff as you learn to go. Uh, your actions are, you know, going to be you're going to have a prepare phase. Then you're going to have your action fa action phases, which are the dark web, the syndicate workstation. You're going to have your hand of cards which you're going to be utilizing attacking corporations and then an end round which is called a reboot which will reset everything and then start it again and move the player token of course hack the planet. You got to love that. Uh let's go up top and get my thoughts and we'll talk about this a little further.
So I want to clear a few things up because I'm always pretty transparent with things. I did not have a lot of time with this unfortunately. Uh the prototype got here late um and uh I got it um and I have to push it on real quick. I'm not one of those guys that screw people over and hold on to it for a long time like a number of people out there that have screwed other people over. But I wanted to make sure that you saw this. Okay. Uh killchain. I did the best I could to explain it. I barely even scratched the surface. But you get the gist of it of what's going on here. You are you are a, you know, a hacker and you are trying to do all the dastardly things that you can to uh hack corporations and attack your fellow players and stuff like that so you get a really good reputation without getting a ton of heat on you. So, um, really, uh, you know, it's it's an exploit, an escalation, and a retaliation type of game that really works very, very, very well from what I gather so far. And the thing about it, and I'm going to be dead honest with you, uh, I've known John a long time. I've known the people at Fallen Dominion a long time. And when I tell you, they fight to make sure that they give you the best they can. and the best quality and the best game. I'm telling you, these guys won't let you down. And I really suggest that you back this. Now, as I get more information, I
will let you know. I'll try to maybe put something in the comments as to when. I know it's coming up soon. You're going to want to look either Kickstarter or GameFound. Uh, and you're going to want to back this, okay? Because I don't think you're going to be very disappointed with Killchain. There is a lot going on here and I couldn't even I couldn't even scratch the surface of this. I didn't have time unfortunately. But uh just trust me, John will never let you go. A matter of fact, uh Sean Howard, who I I also know. Uh Jim, I do not know. um were involved on this and you know that that um John is going to oversee this and you're going to get the same great quality you got from Fallen Fallen Lands.
