Multiplayer Games I Prefer Solo
Transcript
Hello. So, today I want to talk to you about some multiplayer games that I think are actually better as a solo experience. And these are some smaller box games, and if you want, I can do a video on bigger box games as well. But first up, we have Town 77 from Oink Games, and in this game you are drawing tiles and you are having to fill out this big grid where no two same type of building or color of building can touch each other. So, it's this giant spatial puzzle, and I think it is a lot more fun as a solo experience. Next up, we have a type set from DVG Games, and this is a push-your-luck word game. So, you are deciding if you are going to go on round to round, and if you do, that means you are committing to taking five more tiles. Those tiles you're using to make words. The more words you can make and fill in in different spaces, you're going to unlock special abilities, which are going to help you make more future words. This is a fantastic word game for anyone who enjoys crosswords, word searches, anything like that, you need to check this one out, and I think it's better solo.
Then we have a Carnivore Did It. This is a deduction game where you are given several suspects and several pieces of information about them, and you have to find out which one did it. So, there's going to be a set of clues. You're going to know how many people are telling the truth and how many people are telling a lie, and you then have to figure out who is the guilty suspect. And this game has hundreds of puzzles in it, so I think it is great as a solo experience to just work through puzzle by puzzle over, you know, a period of time. And then finally, we have Shifting Stones from Gamewright, and this is a game where you have nine stones. They are double-sided, and they have different patterns on them, and you are trying to get the stones into certain patterns that are on the cards you have, but you have to spend cards to make moves, and if you spend too many cards and run out of them before you finish a designated number of patterns, you will lose. So, you can play this multiplayer, but I think it is much, much better as a solo game. So, those are four games that are intended to be multiplayer games that I think are much better solo. What would you add to the list and do you want to see my suggestions for bigger box games that I also feel the same way about? Let me know. Give me a like and a follow and I'll keep bringing you more board game content. Thanks.
Bye.
