Space Off Play Through | Our Most Insane Play Through ever
Transcript
You look insane.
I really should have taken the iPad.
Yeah. YEAH. [screaming]
What's up everybody? My name is Nick. I'm Mike. We are the Buzz Murf. And at the Game House, we are playing Space Off. We're being We're an ooper. We're an ooper, man. Tins.
It's the most ridiculous party game this side of the Milky Way, so they say. This is from Rule One Games, who are sponsoring this playthrough. Big shouts out to Rule One Games for that.
Uh you can check out a uh link uh in the description of this video to check out Space Off for yourself if you are so inclined. This is a very silly party game
uh for four to 10 players where we're going to be getting up, doing physical challenges, playing hideand seek, uh uh writing words backwards, all sorts of stuff, all sorts of crazy stuff. all while having curse cards that will limit our abilities to
do all the other tasks we're doing. So, what we're going to do is we're going to show you a brief overview of how this game is going to work. Then, we're get into some crazy trials. We've got Jimmy and David here with us, and we're going to hop right into our four player play. In Spaceoff, two teams of Brave Souls have crashlanded on the strange planets of Uper. You need to reassemble a lander so you can get your crew out of here, and the OO are here to help. However, they want you to engage a bunch of silly tasks first to earn your lander pieces. In this game, each round, teams will take turns going through several turn phases. First is the cursed phase where the active team draws a curse card which will offer some kind of impediment players must play with for three full turns in order to complete. If they fail at any point to maintain this rule, they instantly fail. A curse, for example, might be prehistoric grammar where half of your team has to talk in one syllable caveman type talk. Now comes the dice phase where you roll the do or die and draw a trial of the matching type. There are witch trials which are puzzles and creative challenges. Tough trials, which are physical tasks which get your team members up and moving, and gotcha trials, which are secretive and require you to trick your opponents into doing the goal for you. For example, for don't trip, you must get your rival to look at their feet by claiming their shoes are untied. If your rival completes a gotcha card, you reveal that card instantly and pull the matching lander piece one space toward your side.
Completing trial successfully will move lander pieces, and the goal is to control three of the five lander pieces at the same time. After the dice phase comes the grand phase where a grand trial will take place which will have both teams competing head-to-head in a challenge. The winner tugs the lander piece toward their side. Certain challenges will award bonuses if you absolutely crush the goal and players will be alternating gaining and maintaining curses while trying to gain three lander pieces. If after six full turns neither team has won, the last lander part is drawn and players will place cubes for each lander piece they have earned. A series of grand trials will now take place until one team has earned three cubes, making them the winner. Look
what
is it? Almost 10:45 at night. Yeah.
Don't even worry about it.
That's the perfect conditions.
We waited this long, dude. We We waited just for this
space off. It had to be dark.
Yeah.
Had to be dark so I can see the stars and the moon.
We had to be oxygen deprived.
Yep.
That was it. That's
Those were the two criteria.
Yep.
This is the perfect time to be playing this late night party game.
That's exactly right. So these box we have the five hydrants of truth which means we are first players. So first thing we do is draw a curse card.
We got co
ah switch them a call it. All right re uh uh oh man. So all
the ability to read.
Okay. So uh renamed players. It's going to be us. Uh switch names with the teammate. Only use and respond to your new name. Use last names if your team shares any first names. Okay, players, switch names with the teammate. Only use and respond to your new name.
Mike, you're David.
What's up, Mike?
What's up, David?
All right, cool.
Oh, this is going to be this is going to be hard. It's tall David.
Yeah, it's tall David.
It's Mike. Uh, okay. A fail if a renamed player responds to their old name or refers to a teammate by their name and mess with us.
David, can you pass me pencil?
Yeah, here you go. Thanks.
You thought you thought wrong.
All right, so now we got to roll.
Mike's going to fall for that.
Do or die. All right, go ahead and roll that. Mike, really hard.
Two and a half rounds.
Oh, man.
Okay, so we have a tough challenge. Why don't you read this one?
Mike's literate.
That was close.
Mike sound illiterate.
Two people, 30 seconds. Set up. Walk around the blocks. One walker on your team finds a wall or object to stand against and balances one cube on each foot. One supporter stands three steps away from the walker. Goal walk to your supporter. Give them a high five. Then turn and walk back to your starting point.
I know.
So you have to have two blocks.
So one walker on your team finds a ball or object to stand against and balances a cube on each foot. One supporter stands three steps away. So basically they have to like walk three steps with cubes on each of their feet. Give the person a high five. Then walk backwards to the starting part without the losing a cube.
Without losing a cube.
Wait, David, can you read that last bag?
What?
Yeah. Hang on. I'll read it for you.
I SEE WHAT YOU'RE TRYING TO DO.
NICK.
All right. Walk to your supporter. Give them a high five. Then turn and walk back to your starting spot.
Okay. Okay. So, basically we have to walk is it what? Three steps.
Three steps. Three steps.
And high five and walk back. Turn and walk back three steps without losing a cube on your foot.
Mike, we got this.
Oh, Dave, we got it.
All right. We set up moving around.
That there might be some motion.
All right.
The motion of the ocean.
Mike, are you feeling confident about this or you think me, David, David Euing, should do this? David Yuing who lives in Citra Heights, California. Okay. I'm I'm gonna hand myself. Are we wearing the same shoes? Whoa. Maybe they're Whoa. They're very similar.
I think they're the same exact thing. THEY'RE THE SAME. THEY ARE THE SAME.
YEAH, THAT'S AWESOME.
WAY TO GO, DAVID.
Who knew?
Okay, who's who's got Mike and David be wearing same shoes?
Who's on the the wall? Who's who's David? Shall we?
I'm You are on the wall. So, you're walking to Mike with with the cubes. Okay. So, when I'm here, I'll I'll do three steps away from
be an instant fail.
So, here here. So, I'll start tip to tip.
One, two,
tip to tip.
Three. Okay.
Okay. We We feel good about this, Mikey.
NO. [screaming]
LET'S GO.
YOU GOT HIM.
We were never We were never You did pretty good.
All right. Okay. We made it.
Yeah. Okay, that's good. All right. I'm just going to walk. All right. Oh my good god. All right. We out here. We just going to It's the right foot. The cube is going gnarly gnarly, Dad. All right. What's up, man? High five. Okay.
Way to go.
Turn around.
We don't have to do it anymore.
You don't have to turn.
It said turn and walk. [screaming]
YES.
Right one was so wiggly jiggly, man. Back to the other room.
All right.
Maybe if you wore my shoes and I wore your shoes.
That was the problem.
Okay.
All right. So, I guess we just toss this.
Yes. Yeah.
Well, the thing is we didn't fall for Jimmy's tricks.
That's true.
Yes. It was my own ineptitude.
We got excited over having the same shoes.
Yes.
And then we lost composure.
I I think I got lucky cuz I almost tried to pull another one, but then [sighs]
David did it for me. So,
I'll see.
All right. We failed. But we're going to go to the grand trial.
Yes.
Just going to be both teams competing at the hood. Okay. A night at the Orchestra because we're on We're on.
This is going to have all of us.
Mhm.
Every player takes a deep breath and makes a continuous noise as loud as their speaking voice or louder.
Wow.
The goal is to be the last team still making noise.
Okay.
I don't know. I feel like this is like a mic category. I don't know.
Okay. Hang on. Speaking voice or louder. I know people on the
So, wait. So, who's going to initiate it?
Well, no, it's I think it's everyone on So,
all of us.
Yeah, we'll all do it, but how do we initiate?
I think we should do like uh uh one of us does a Yeah, like a pronounced
and then you know happy we'll go one, two, three. Okay. Okay.
Okay. All right. [sighs and gasps]
Okay. Ready? Okay. One, two, three, EIGHT. D.
OKAY, I'm done. You're there. You trying to make me laugh.
Speaking of oxygen deprivation. Jeez. lesson.
I knew that was a that was a I knew that I was going to do a noise and I was like cuz it started making me laugh.
Continuous noise.
Not good.
Well, I got
I mean I think I think Jimmy just barely outlasted today. So
what happened
toward you?
You guys have one lander part.
My legs don't work anymore.
Like I have an anger.
That's going to be insane.
Top the opening right there. That is either going to make people love this or so stop watching at that point. Yeah.
Well, at least we all had a
mixing it up. So, at the end phase, we would advance our curse cards if we hadn't blown it.
We could we could say,
it's all right. It's all right.
It was all Mike's fault.
Hey, man. That's true.
Curse it up.
Curse it. Jimmy, what's up? Shut it up, man. Okay. Half T-Rexes must keep two cubes pinned to their torso under each arm near the elbow. Fail if T-Rex cubes fall out.
Wait. So you stick them in your armpit like this. Like this.
Yeah, they're like pinned uh under each arm near the elbow. So yeah, like this. So you're just kind of
So I have Oh my god, it's digging my ribs.
Yeah, those are some big cubes to keep in there. All right, then I'll quickly move on to the next.
I hope you get a physical challenge. That'd be great.
I guess I'll do it. Wait, so that goes there. Yeah.
Okay. Yo, this is a bummer. Okay.
All right. So, uh,
give one rival player 5 seconds to hide an ooer card. No peeking. Goal. Find the hidden card within 30 seconds.
So, is it is this a
Okay. So, you get to hide an ooer card. One of your two.
Yes. Okay. Give one round.
You want to do David or Mike?
Uh, I'll give it to David because Mike knows the office. Is there a restriction as to which is it have to be? You have 5 seconds. You have 5 seconds. So, how fast do you think you can move?
I have 5 seconds to hide it. Yeah. So, I think you can stand 30 seconds to find
I think you can stand up and have the car.
Should we have a rule that you can't hide it on your person?
Yeah. Yeah.
Yeah. Like
there'll be no HR violations today. So, you have 5 seconds to hide one of these.
And how long do they have to find it? 30 seconds. So, they'll both be able to They'll both be able to search for it. That's what you're
Is it both or is it just one of us? Uh, all of you.
Okay.
All right.
So, I'll set up a file. I'll start a 5second timer.
You can like stand. Yeah. I think you like right here. Yeah. And then you can Yeah. Then
I mean, yeah. I guess for ideally it would be on screen, but I can't.
I mean, if you want to hide in the other camcorder.
Yeah. I don't know.
Yeah.
Or here. You know what? Where's my phone? Cuz what I can do, I could just record myself.
Or you can go grab the camcorder.
I'm just following around.
Do a lot of work for a second. Can you do a Can you do a timer with an alarm?
No, we'll we'll just do it. It's fine.
You got this.
You ready?
All right. You ready? All right. Three, two, one, go.
Just hear me run as fast as he can.
Keep going.
Time. Okay,
this feels like appropriate. Oh, it is. It's the space off app. I was like, this is appropriate.
Handy off app.
All right. Okay. I'm going to need you. I'd say it's more important that you keep those pinned under your arms than it is cuz I don't think I we're going to find it.
Okay.
Just split up. What do you want to do?
I just think quarter now. We'll follow them. Go for it.
All right. We have to go for it.
It's better to lose one than to lose both.
I'm not going to lose this. I got this. I'm
We didn't lose both of our trials at the same time.
I'm right here, man. This is
Just remember this moment, audience.
All right.
So, we're going to follow you around like, you know,
Oh, yeah. Did he get the camcorder? Yeah, he's grabbing it.
I'll have this so we know where we are. You'll be listening for the fun space music.
We're ready.
I feel like he went to the front the front closet. That's what I'm checking.
Okay. Are you ready?
Yeah.
All right. We got 30 seconds on the clock. Three, two, one, go. How far could he HAVE DONE?
I CAN'T REACH.
YEAH, you better watch them.
I can't reach. I don't know if he's in here.
Uh, I don't know. I'm curious, too. Oh, there's No, there's so many places.
You can see all of our dirties.
There's so many places it could be.
Where could it be? Where could it be?
Oh, there's no way. There's no way.
I don't even remember where I put it. Oh, I think Where is it? Over there.
It's somewhere. UH.
OH,
YEAH. FAIR. Is it? Which one?
Smart. He has 30 seconds to find it.
Wow. Okay. Nice.
All right. Like I have unlimited board games to hide this. True. Yeah. This is a
lift the lid. Put it in.
I was like this.
You're not going to win this one.
But you still got it under your pits.
I got here.
Okay.
I couldn't feel one for a second, so I thought I dropped this. I want to make sure I can see.
I can't even see them anywhere.
They're in there.
All right. Grand trial.
Uh, both teams compete head to head on this.
When did I stop doing that? Super team.
Oh god, I had to do this for so long.
Um.
Oh my gosh.
Okay, so each team picks one speller and one reader.
So I will be the speller, I guess.
Yeah.
Okay.
Each privately draws one Earth card. Reader simultaneously read words from the Earth card out loud. One word at a time. Their speller must correctly spell a word backwards to hear another. [sighs] Correctly spell the most words backwards in one minute. Okay. Well, this isn't great for my dyslexia, but all right. We have to the person writing has to write down the the word.
I'll say like banana and then you have to write banana backwards
and if it's correct then you get to hear another card.
You want to read or write?
I have a tactic for this I think will help.
I'll let you I'll be the reader.
Okay.
And we're going top down. Okay.
Okay. So, it's going to be the first person to get through.
We have one minute. We have one minute.
Oh, one minute.
So, whoever has the most in one minute.
Okay.
Or finishes first if we both get I guess.
I guess not. But we'll see.
I don't know. There are a lot of words on a card. I feel like I think there's like six or seven.
Okay. Are you ready?
Yep.
All right. Three, two, one. Antarctica.
Stonehenge.
Antarctica. Kita. [clears throat]
Just really announcing it.
Antarctica.
Yeah.
Okay. Yep. All right. Ginger.
Okay. Yep. Oh, yeah. Cheese.
All right. Yep. Okay. Caramel refrigerator. move. Okay.
Okay. Uh basket.
Yeah. He's good.
Yep. All right. Ogre footballer.
Uh
we Oh, man.
You like Do you like that tactic?
Yeah. That's pretty sweet. All right.
All right. Tell us about your
What was your tactic? I would write it front to
front. That's what he did, too.
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Except for football. And then I was like, uh,
yeah.
I did it for a couple and other is look like a doctor trying to write up her. So
everybody can see or shame.
My shame.
So you guys I like that ogre turn into air. Go.
Yeah. I was like,
how do this moves here, right? This is lowkey a middle delt workout.
Oh yeah. So I'm pushing this way.
Yeah. So then how many of your things does he have to make it through your whole turn or just
turn?
No.
No. He has to make it through the So our turn and then your whole next turn
cuz at the end of the round is this is when this bumps off. I
only bump it for the active player. So he has three turns long that occurs last. Yeah.
All right. Speaking of we were never going to make it.
I can't. No. That was going to be way too No names. That I think that was your call. You just used a lot of names to like show off.
Then you just got to be like, "Hey, buddy."
Hey, you.
All right. Go. So, this is for one player on the team who will be the announcer's label. The announcer must audibly describe and react to what happens in the game. Fail if more than 30 seconds go by without the announcer providing commentary. And we get to roll a champion die for success. In addition to this, we roll the champion die and get a bump on that because it's bee hard.
Yeah.
Do you want to be the announcer or should I?
Wait, what was it?
Mike has be announcing everything that's going on. So like and now it's rock paper scissors.
All right. [clears throat]
All right.
So I guess I
So David just won the rock paper scissors.
Every 30 seconds you have to do it.
Okay.
I mean you can just sort of generally Okay. Do we want to do some wits? Gotcha. Or tough.
LET'S DO TOUGH. [screaming]
WE'RE GOING TO DO TOUGH. OH, TOUGH.
THAT'S GOING to be tough on the mass.
Yeah, you can announce.
That's too tough.
Deal me in is going to be
be like a golf uh announcer.
Okay. Deal me in. So, it's going to be two people and one uh rival. Uh so, one thrower and one catcher.
One thrower, one catcher.
Stand three steps apart. The thrower holds all available uper cards. One rival rolls their lucky die. Throw ooper cards one at a time to the catcher. Only retrieve cards if you run out.
IF WE RUN OUT. That's He's reading the card.
He's reading a card to heaven. Not absorbing any of it.
One thrower one catcher. Other person rolls the lucky die. Uh cart throw throw ooper cards one at a time to the catcher. Only retrieve cards if you run out. Okay, I pick them back up. Catch many cards as the die result with one hand. That's the goal. Got it.
As Mike reads the cards, Nick's arms are getting really tired.
Before the attempt, you can double your card catching gold. You get plus one champion roll on top of your usual reward if you succeed. Do we feel confident?
I can single between one and six or between two and 12. And he and I are going to be throwing back and forth, but you roll the die that decides.
I see. I was like, am I throwing it to both of you?
I think we just go for the normal.
I think we just go for the normal. Is we got to catch it?
One hand. Do each of you have to catch it with this?
No. One's throwing, one's catching.
You want to throw or catch?
I What are we doing?
You're One of us is going to throw cards, the other. The other one has to catch them with one hand.
And the number is five.
Uh, you're probably a better thrower than I am. So, how about Mike throws to David and David, we'll try to catch. Are we doing sitting down?
Uh, you think? Do you think that's here? Look like.
Okay. So, I'm going to
Yes. Don't go past that past that. And we have And we have uh uh uh how much time? 30 seconds. 30 seconds to catch five. 30 seconds. Five. Okay. David's gonna try and catch five cards in 30 seconds. One hand with one hand.
Yeah. All right. Yeah. Almost. Yeah.
Go further. There's two.
David's caught three. He's destroying the cards as he does, though. There's more. Five.
Oh, little softer. There's six.
Okay, so that's enough. There's seven.
There's five. David has caught a number of cards, but
it's getting harder. That's fine.
Yeah, he already hit our number.
David has hit his number, but he kind of bent a few cards in the process.
I think we could have I think we could have gone for the double.
I think we could have gone for the double
probably. I mean, you weren't really catching with one hand. They were kind of JUST HITTING YOUR BODY
CRADLING. There were there were SOME
IN THE NFL. WILL THAT NOT BE A CATCH?
When it comes to Go ahead. You try to try to freaking
No, it's a trap. That's right.
David has collected all the full of cards on the ground and has returned them to Mike who is sometimes Davis.
We're going to get this one.
I'm in this.
You're in it.
I'm in this. Are you dude?
Yeah, we're basically. All right. Move on to the ground.
The grand carnival face.
How do you do the firing up here?
This up here.
Can you point to it?
I'll point right out. Maybe right now.
David is trying to trick Nick with fancy word play.
All right. Um, grand trial. Okay. Equal teams. So,
equal teams for a grand trial.
Two twov2.
Okay, so setup. One hider from each team gets 15 seconds to hide a cube of a unique color from their rivals who close their eyes.
Each hiding spot must be within five steps of the celestial square.
Is this the celestial square?
Yeah.
Okay,
we have to find it within five steps of the celestial square.
Teams open their eyes. They get two minutes to find the cube that the rival hid. Hiders sit out and can't give clues or react. Go be the fastest team to find your unassigned cube.
So we [clears throat] hang on. We're doing a challenge. That is the the the the grand trial. Uh so you're hiding it. Let's say you're hiding it. You would be hiding it. I'm trying to find yours and they're trying to also do the same thing and whoever does it quicker.
It's going to be uh I'm hiding something for one of y'all.
And then
and then you're trying to hide something for one. So, we do it one at a time and whoever does it quicker or we're we're searching at the same time.
Searching at the same time.
We're searching at the same time.
Uh, okay. Does that make sense?
So, each of us is hiding something for the other team. And then we are trying whoever
one hider and one seeker in this case.
Do you want to hide?
I'm going to I'm going to be the hider. I probably shouldn't be the seeker
cuz if it's higher than this, I can't get it.
Sure.
Okay.
No, I think that's fine.
Okay. Okay. So, that means David and Nick are going to be our seekers.
David and Nick are the seekers.
David and Jimmy are the seekers.
Sorry. David and J I've mixed up names so many times.
Have two minutes.
Well, it's going to be Yeah,
it has to be within five feet of this.
Yeah.
Five steps of how
we'll let you stand up at least.
Yeah. Okay.
Uh, so I guess continue making announcements while off camera.
Oh, yeah. You got every 30 seconds.
I am off camera.
It's one of
Okay. So, Jimmy and David have to close your eyes. Close your eyes. Are we Oh, we're staying in here.
Yeah.
Okay.
Yeah, because it has to be within five steps.
So, we're five steps of this.
Duff man has closed his eyes. Oh, no.
Okay, we have 15 seconds.
Do we have to close our ears, too?
Uh, I don't know. Can you
Well, let me let me rephrase. Jimmy, are you closing your ears?
I wasn't, but I could.
Nope. Nope. Then you keep it,
I guess. How much time we got? 15 seconds.
Yeah.
15 seconds and 5 seconds.
Ready?
Yeah.
They're getting ready to hide. All right. And go. LA. [screaming]
Hold on. Hold on. Hold on. Chill. Just 5 seconds. Chill. Chill. Chill. Chill. Chill. Chill. Chill. OH GOD. OH GOD. I knocked the camera. We're fine.
Are we good?
They have finished hiding the things. The time is up.
Are [clears throat] we in our searching?
Uh, two minutes. Two minutes. Are you ready? Yeah.
Oh, wait. What color am I looking for? That was crazy.
No idea
what I heard.
I think purple.
I'm looking for blue. Oh, we did blue and purple. Oh, your color.
Don't worry about it. I just don't find ours.
I didn't tell you which one.
That is not convenient.
That's true.
All right. Go ahead. Okay.
I am searching for a cube that might be blue or purple.
Nick and I cannot help. No, we're reacting anyway.
Oh, interesting.
Yeah,
there it is. God damn it.
Got it. I ran around the computer. I ran around every first.
Okay, so this is done. I was trying to I was trying to fake you out.
Yeah. It's good.
You did a a decent job.
David did not find it first
cuz there's stuff over here. That was
Where did you hide yours, Nick?
Under that little cup.
Oh, nice.
That's a good spot. It's a good spot.
So, I hid it in one of our drawers by lovely Arctic tables. Sponsor the channel and all.
If we if we do have to do a two cube in the future, you can avoid blue and purple. Sure, David. David would be part of that.
I'd be very I'd be very I got held back in kindergarten because of blue and purple.
Exactly.
Um All right. So, we won that one, right? Yeah, I think Nick and Jimmy won that one by default.
Oh, no.
All right, we're going to advance our curse card. Probably longer than 30 seconds, but whatever.
Come get it.
You better come get her.
Okay, so patchy coverage. Half your team. Pirates. Pirates must always keep one eye covered with one hand. Switching hands and or eyes is allowed. Fail if a pirate uncovers both eyes uh or leaves a gap big enough to easily see through. So, you want to take it on?
Should I? Cuz I'm already here, right?
Well, you're about to I guess so.
Nick's going to pirate.
You're about to lose the other ones.
I'm a T-Rex pirate, baby.
Man, that's that's Yeah,
cuz I'm already here.
All right. Thank god it's not tough. That would be rough.
Well, your wits.
Okay, so your wits about it.
One v one setup. One player on your team closes their eyes. Probably Nick. Only got one.
I only got one left.
One rival arranges 16er cards in a grid in front of that player. Open your eyes reading from left to right, top to bottom. Say the number out loud for even uber card.
Jimmy is reading a card.
Top to bottom, say the number out loud for even uber cards and the color of the cards for odd cards.
Okay, cuz these are numbered one through 10 in four different colors.
So the reader needs to say the number out loud of even cards and the color
Oh, so the card for odd cards. So as you go across,
two purple, four red.
Yes. Okay. Nick is understanding what the challenge entails.
So, I just need to alternating set up 16
color number color.
I'm trying to think. I guess I'll do it here.
Yeah. So, a rival sets it up. Are you going to do or you want me to do it?
Uh cuz you have to have an eye closed. I I think you setting it up would be
Well, I think a rival sets it up, don't they?
One player on your team closes their eyes. One rival. Oh, yeah. I guess so. I'll do it.
Do you think you'll be Do you think you'll be bad at or do you think I'll be better at it? I don't think I'll be particularly good at it.
I can try it. Sure. Okay. Okay. I guess I'll close my other eye.
I guess I don't need
Oh god. This is This is
All right. I'm gonna put them in front of Jimmy.
I'm allowed to switch hands, right, Jimmy? Yeah.
Okay. I'm going to do this cuz Oh my gosh.
That is even more.
Keep them peepers clean this way and this way in front of Jupiter cards.
Remind Nick what he must be doing.
So you're So you're going to Oh, you're going to have 15 seconds.
Oh, okay. I was like, that's not too bad. Yeah. Okay.
Uh so you're going to go through 16 cards left to right, top to bottom. Nick is going to go through 16 cards, left to right, top to bottom.
For each even card, you need to say the even number. And for each odd number or odd card, you need to say the color.
Oh gosh. So, reading order, odd color, even number.
I'm so glad I don't have
15 seconds.
Uh, yeah. Even number, odd color.
Okay. In reading order to bottom.
And it's it's kind of in front of Jimmy
and me. It's in between us. So, if you want to
I got I got to get this eye.
You want here? I don't know if it would help. I I might move over just a little bit.
Sit in my seat. Just don't be looking.
I don't know where you're sitting.
Nick is moving over to Jimmy's seat so he has a better field of view.
Used to be over here. This is weird. Jimmy, you want to sit over here?
Are you ready?
No.
Are you ready?
Okay. One more quick announcement.
Color number. Okay. Well, they might not be in that order, but
Oh my god. I was thinking they're always going to be That's terrible.
Will always be number seven. I see. I see. Okay, THAT'S WAY HARDER. OKAY.
DO YOU have it? Three, two, one.
Is going
51. Start again.
Oh, purple, purple, purple, eight, red. Oh, god. Blue 10 eight.
Yeah. 10 eight. Blue. Blue. Blue. 428. OH, DANG IT. [screaming] I WAS CLOSE.
NICK DID NOT GET IT. He got confused by the colors. Welcome to my world.
Oh, yeah. I guess that's a good one. That
luckily they had different shapes, which is nice. True, true, true, true.
Actually, the colors on the cards are easier than the colors on the phone.
Yeah.
Yeah,
man. I'm sorry, Jimmy.
No, that's that was a tough one. I I I stopped you
and I'm still not 100% sure that it was
But who knows?
Oh my gosh.
You're almost done with your
This is
setup. Each team builds a 3x3 wall of cubes that they'll sit or kneel behind. The wall should face each other and be two steps apart. Split the rest of the available cubes roughly evenly between them. Alternating teams and players for each throw. God damn.
What are we talking about?
Toss one cube at a team at your rivals wall. Goal destroy the top two layers of your rivals wall with the fewest throws. So basically, we're going to go in the other room. We're going to
Yeah, we're going to make a stack 3x3 wall and then we're going to use the rest of the blocks to throw at each other.
We're just going to do here and there. You think?
Maybe I'll do that. All right.
Okay. So, a 3x3 wall.
3x3. So, here's
I'm going to have you build a mini wall.
This is This is so glue, please. Oh, yeah. When you stack it, this is a lot smaller than I thought. I was like, this is going to be a huge wall. This 3x3 is not big.
Mike and David have finished stacking their wall. But maybe I'm Mike and maybe he's David.
Who's this? How many? Yeah. And then evenly distributed this.
I'm sweating.
Yeah, I am also sweating. And I'm not doing what you're doing.
Okay. So it's tired.
So
I guess we'll just put it on here.
Okay. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Just like that. Perfect.
Yes.
So you just And is it is it is there a time or is it just we're going one?
I think it's just Yeah. We just alternate and we try and destroy the top two layers of the other.
I'm going to need you cuz you I'm not going to be able to do anything with this. Captain
Nick is about to throw with this T-Rex. Cross your rivals. It doesn't say who starts.
I think it's us cuz it's our turn.
Okay.
Oh yeah. It'll it'll uh Yeah, it should be you. So, okay.
Okay.
All right. Top two layers.
Oh, Jimmy.
Oh, not not all the top two layers, though.
All the top two layers.
That's not good. All right. [screaming]
So, here's [snorts and laughter] all I got. Jimmy got
two columns down. Mike got one column down. Nick whiffed it. And now David is going.
Oh my god. increase the integrity of our
tower. Yeah, right.
Little little high.
Oh, no.
Okay. Okay.
Nick and David are up next.
I got to get some. I got to get some leverage.
We are neck and neck with one column left each. Oh, so cool. Jimmy, it's your time.
Whipped it.
Hey, Jimmy. Hey, Jimmy.
Jimmy's gonna throw. But will he be ABLE TO DO IT?
THE WIND. This is lowkey hard cuz it's like a spire.
Slay the spire.
Got it. OR IS IT TOO SOON?
All right. The momentum
wind up the momentum.
THE MOMENTUM. [screaming]
Nick has not hit again. what that said. Neither David,
David.
Oh, that was close.
Okay.
I'm so proud of you, Jimmy.
DO YOU [screaming] HAVE THE LOVE?
BOOM.
You look insane.
I really should have taken the iPad.
Yeah. YEAH. [screaming]
Nick was closer than he's ever been. All right. Come on, David. The beer pong practice
beer pong.
That was the ridge has become a beer factor than I would have ever guessed.
Please.
Can Jimmy. [screaming]
All right. Well, okay. So, it's fewest throw. So, if I
that would be the same.
I have the hit. It would be a total fail.
So, I'm going to move to now. We're fully over.
But you see, you'll roll a champion die. You'll get a different tug. So, I need to save.
That'll be good.
You got to love a different tug. BACON.
TO BE FAIR, you did better than David did.
I hit exactly one time.
Okay.
So, wrench means you can pick your category.
Tug.
Oh, so we're about to get purple.
So, if we get purple, then we get to roll again. And yeah. Okay.
Roll again. I see what you're saying.
Okay. I is crawling around on the ground to end phase advance.
Oh, thank God. So, keep your eye patch covered, but but you can release your your [screaming] armpit blocks.
Oh my gosh, my shoulders hurt. So,
we're going to need a new pair of armpit blocks. They've just been thoroughly crushed in there.
That is like doing this is legitimately difficult, y'all. Okay. Oh my gosh, I have freedom. My arms Well, one arm. All right.
All right. And then we roll it.
Yeah. So, you can roll again since you already have verbal.
They're rolling again. to see what they get. We're close, Jimmy.
I mean, that's definitely That's not good.
We're close, Jimmy.
Okay. Ready for a new curse, David?
I am ready for a new curse. Let's draw one.
All right. Half of us don't look now. Half of us will be shy. Shy players can't make eye contact with the rival team. I will do that.
Look at my eye, Michael.
No, I don't want it.
Look at my eye.
Look here.
I don't want to do that. Then we get the freaking thing that says like staring contact.
Michael's looking into your eye. I know, right?
Yeah. I don't really want you to do that, though. Michael has taken the curse and instead we'll be a shy guy.
What's your thing?
Huh? Is that I can't I'm shy. So,
okay. You can't look into anybody.
I can't look into my rivals. He literally look person for me. Oh, man. So nice to connect with somebody.
Okay, we're going to do a gotcha card.
Ooh, gotcha.
This is silently. Okay.
I just announced it.
I know. I know.
Gotcha. Gotcha. I wish I wish kind of wish we had done like this,
but we roll. We roll, you know. David and Mike have finished reading their gotcha cards. Close. Say that again. Believe it's right here.
That was so close.
That was close.
Because it's 30 seconds, right?
Huh?
Yeah. Yeah. You You were at 28 seconds.
David almost missed it on one time, right?
Oh, okay. What did you say though, Nick?
You're not gonna All right. Whatever. I was trying to understand what you're trying to say.
He's trying to get me.
Wait, it could No.
All right. Uh that's that. So that's boom. And now we're under the grand uh grand trial.
David and Mike are moving on to the my rivals. You're never my rivals. I'm not even looking at Nick.
Okay. Keep column and carry on.
This is for all of us. Split available cubes evenly between teams. You may have to leave one out. Each team picks a builder and stand to stand four steps away from them and each other. Toss cubes one at a time to your builder. They can stack them into a column or throw them at their rivals columns.
We have to throw them at our rivals or stack them into a column.
The goal is to have the tallest column when the time runs out, which will be 30 seconds. So, okay, going back. Split split available cubes.
Okay.
Evenly, each team picks a builder to stand four steps away uh to take a team to step four steps away from them and each other. Toss cubes one at a time to your builder. They can stack them into a column or throw them at their rivals.
Mike has finished reading the card. But what's like the end game?
Oh, tallest at the end of
Are there still on the ground?
So, okay. So, Jim, do you want me to like stand over there and I can see a blue?
Uh,
that's okay. We can just split them evenly.
Yeah.
Oh, I got a blue and an orange here.
Cuz I think those are the last two that we needed. So, if we take those two, do you have
Jimmy catch?
Uh, you're not going to catch it. Why not? Got him. Pitch. Okay,
we have put all the cubes back where they belong.
Okay, David, maybe do you want to throw and I can like
I'm a terrible
stack right here.
So, wait, what are we doing?
So, one of us is throwing to the other person. They can catch and then add to their stack or throw at their opponent's column.
Okay,
we're building a spire.
Yes.
Okay. We're going to try to build the spire and then the tallest
but wins.
But if I throw at them and I lose that cube.
No. So, whoever catches can either stack it or throw it at their opponent.
Yes.
So,
Oh
Almost got him.
Barely got him.
If they had a gotcha card, I would be like, for sure they're trying to mess with. What happened? Just dropped it, right?
I was trying to get him to look at me. Jimmy has final. That was successful, man. But I'm committed, right?
It's okay. Wow. Very good. Very good.
One person on each team is going to be throwing the other their teammate cubes. That's all they're doing. Feeding cubes, the catcher and then stack throw to you, right? Okay.
All right.
Ouch.
So, I guess I'll stand right here.
Where should I Okay. We have to be four steps away from each other. Do we think like this is about four steps?
We have to be standing or can I can I be sitting?
You can be standing. Whatever. It's good.
I'll be here.
I'm afraid to look at anybody.
That's fair.
You should be. They're going to be next to their spire just like
Yeah.
So, four steps for I guess would it be opposite says?
Not even.
Yes. No.
I wasn't looking passing by. It was like slow-mo with Sarah McLaclin going your
eyes were almost got Nick or the mic but he didn't quite get
Let me have this man. I cannot wait to be done with announce. No more eye stuff.
Last warning.
Okay. Okay. Oh god. All right. We are starting the uh the grand trial.
All right. 30 seconds.
30 seconds.
Where are you building? Right here.
Okay. So, you'll build the corner. 30. Yeah. Yeah.
Sure. All right. I'm ready.
30 seconds is starting now. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
I guess when you throw it, there's a chance that you could give me more stuff to build my
Wait, you could throw it, Mikey?
Yeah.
Yeah, I can try.
I thought I had to throw it.
No, you can try and knock down my tower.
Oh.
Oh, no. I see.
Mikey is BUILDING A GOOD TOWER.
ALL RIGHT.
OH, NO. We're fine. We're fine.
Now, do I get to pick up?
Yeah.
Oh, nice shot.
Nice shot, Mike. WHERE WAS THIS EARLY?
HEY, MAN. No eye contact.
All right,
we have finished the grand trial.
Who's the same?
Three tied.
Three.
All right. Nothing doing.
What happens to a tie?
We got to get something back, man.
We both fail.
Yeah, it's a great No one gets it, right?
No tugs.
No tugs for us.
No tugs.
Roll over your phone.
That's all All right, we have finished the grand trial and now we are moving on to give me a next turn, which means I don't HAVE TO ANNOUNCE ANYMORE. [screaming]
THANK GOD.
YEAH, that's a tough one.
That's a lot. These ones the the curses are rough.
Okay.
All right.
I'd rather have something constant than that.
Whatever. So, you're about to be out of the curse
at the end of our round. Yes. So, whatever this is,
I feel like I could
one to one backup singer diva. One rival player becomes a diva. One player on your team is their backup singer. The backup singer must sing the last word of every audible thing.
Oh, that's just fun. What is it? So, it's like the BC boys like, "Now we're going to finish a rhyme." Like that thing, I think.
Yeah, I think so.
So, so I guess so it's like the last word. Yeah.
Oh, so yeah, once you finish speaking, that person has to say whatever you said. Or is it every word?
I think it's just the last word. I think it's just like your hype at the back.
Remember, it doesn't have to be the same time. It's just like you finish your sentence and they go sentence then I'm going to keep talking some more. More.
Oh, so you're not finishing the song. You're just saying repeating the last word.
Yeah. Basically basically like
backup singer must sing the last word of every audible thing. I'll I'll do it.
Uh I'll pick Mike.
What do I have to do?
So you So basically you're just normal and then I just have to
Oh, you're backing me up.
I would never look at Jimmy. I I didn't I didn't freaking If he was Medusa, I wouldn't be made of stone right now.
Stone right now.
I'm looking down here. I was looking
now. Lor.
So, you have to repeat every last.
It's hard cuz the brain wants to look at the eyes. Even I pass by.
My name's Shimmy and I am dumb.
DUMB.
HE'S competed to the B. This be rough. Uh, nice face.
Whiz. Oh, got all blue. All right. One writer grabs a pencil and paper. They privately draw an earth card and rewrite the six words on it, replacing every vowel with ooh. The writer passes the words face down to one guesser. Flip your writer's words face up. So basically
without the vowels,
you have to you have to guess what the words are.
All six words on the earth card
using ooze.
Okay.
Ooze. Because we are we're an ooper.
So it's replacing every vowel with oo o.
Oh.
Do you think you'd be better at guessing through the ooze?
Uh I don't know.
Oh
tnt secret of the use.
Ooh the time.
So okay. So
one writer grabs a pencil and a paper. They privately write all
it's like it's like just do what it says. You know
you know
six words on it. Okay. So I have to draw an earth card with the six words on it. No, I don't trust you.
Why would you not?
Jimmy. Jimmy.
Okay. Okay. So, I have to draw. So, you can't look this, Jimmy.
All right.
Okay. Have to draw. I'll do this here. I'll just see. Okay. So, really wish I knew what was going on.
On.
It's not a word. Uh,
why'd you put it in a box?
Box?
Because I have to draw I have to draw an earth card.
I So, I have to draw the card. Okay.
Okay.
I mean, were you singing that, Jimmy?
Singing that, Jimmy?
There we go. There we go.
Is that their curse to have to do the the singing bit?
Yeah, he's got to back me up.
Okay, we're getting there. All right, Jimmy, roll off while we wait. Go ahead.
Go ahead.
All right, I got Oh, it's a cocky. Hang on.
I got it, too. You go ahead.
Go ahead. Why are you roll the die?
Why is no one listening to me? Am I crazy?
Crazy.
These guys aren't listening to me. Me.
Okay. So,
pitch every time.
Yeah. Yeah. All right. Yep. Everywhere the the writer passes their words face down to one guessesser. Um and then flip your writer's words face up. Okay. So, here you go, Jimmy. This is what you got. Is there a timer as this? One minute. So, you have one minute to try to identify what those words are and I will tell you yes if they were correct.
Are you ready?
Ready.
Go. Sound them out. A first.
Jimmy didn't back me up. He's gone.
Uh
[snorts]
uh.
That's fine.
If uh it's a I if
this sound though,
uh
uu Africa.
Yep. Yep.
Uh poach. A pouch.
Nope.
Uh peach.
Yes.
Uh harp.
Yes. Uh book.
Yes. Uh pongoon. Pang. Oh, I was going to say panda. Uh pangon. Pongun. Penguin.
Yes.
Uh race car.
Yes.
I got a genius. You like unlocked some level of of udism or something like is actually not that hard to get.
All right. We can agree. Roambo if we get to keep that because Nick was kind of a little roambo.
I do what you want, Michael. I don't care.
I want you Roach with me.
It's a wit.
It was a wits.
All right, so Grand Prix. [sighs]
I don't know why people don't listen to me anymore.
I don't know what I've done.
I think I copied you as much as you didn't look in my eyes. Um
I That's fine. We're about to get
barely even passed by. It's crazy.
What you got to do?
All right. What's his grand face? All right. Grandchild. We got it.
Grandchild. Equal teams.
Got to get this
set up. Pile up. Okay. Pile up all the available cubes in an open area.
Okay.
That'll be our open area. It's hot.
Yep. [snorts]
Pile up all the available cues in an open area within reach of both teams. If there's an even number, leave one out. All players simultaneously. God dang it, Jimmy. Got him. I did look up.
YEAH,
I blame the rains down.
All right. All players know they grab games from the pile.
Why does Jimmy have such kind eyes? I have
like mysterious.
God dang it.
And the mystery is so hot in this area of my face.
Yeah, it's so hot.
So close. All players have opportunity to grab cubes from the pile using one hand. one cube at a time. Uh, place cubes near you or in your other hand. When all cubes are claimed, check each team's goal. Be the team that grabs the most cubes.
Each team's total. So, basically, all so we build a pile available cubes in an open area within reach of both teams. Um, so we have the same amount and then um all play grab cubes from pile using one hand, one cube at a time. So, we're just trying to grab as fast as we can. Okay. And it's and I heard something. It has to be an odd number, right? It's like if you have an even number, remove one cube.
Oh yeah, because then
someone will be a winner.
Yeah.
So he was three.
As far as we know how to count
9 12 I don't know threes. 12 15
18 21 24 27
31.
So can we We can only grab them with one hand.
Yes. [clears throat] Hungry hungry hippos with I don't know why I'm not still not looking at you. Right to see every it's hard to not
dude. It's just you just lock in. It's
Yeah, because we're meant to look at each other.
Now that I failed, I'll admit the first on that for just I was like but I I saw his eyes.
I saw his eyes.
That water bottle was good though, right?
It was a good
Oh my gosh. I was like that was brilliant.
You look mischievously like me and I just got sucked in, man.
All player sentences. Grab one cubes from P using one hand cube at a time. place cubes near you or in your other hand. Okay.
Okay. So, we're just hungry hungry hippos.
One at a time.
One at a time.
Okay. Um my concern is I guess just remember where these are. Oh, here. Cuz there's a high probability that those are Or we could slide this or something cuz I feel like things are going to get knocked around.
All right. Yeah, let's let's cuz we're about to be in the we're about to be in the last lander part right now. So, let's let's clear the clear the
clear the runway
right here, baby. [clears throat] Can you repeat?
Don't do what it says.
Oh, thanks, Nick.
No.
Get a rival to verbally warn of their teammates against performing an ACTION TRIGGER. I GOT you card.
You gota
Yeah.
I cuz that's what I I almost did earlier and I was like, "Nick, it could be that one card." And I was like, "Wait, but telling him it could be that one card would mean doing the thing it says on the card." So, I stopped.
You go, Davey. All right.
All right. Whatever.
Okay.
I wasn't going to do it. [clears throat and sighs]
I would never do it.
I'm not doing all this. I was trying to help out.
All right. Help yourself out. Maybe.
All right. One hand, one at a time.
And there's no time to go.
Just like in our
Yeah. Just like just, you know, Wait. There's no time.
Well, no, cuz it's just
we are the time. It's whoever has the most once there's nothing left.
Oh, yeah. Oh, I think you're saying one at a time. We It goes like around the table. You can't grab You can only grab one. I got you. I got you.
All right. Is it good?
Uh-huh.
Y.
All right. Countdown, Jimmy.
Three, two, one.
I'm not I don't know why I'm doing this with my non-dominant hand.
I think y'all did it.
2 4 6 8 10 12 14 16
15. Oh, I dig in.
Dang it. Took it away from him.
All right. All right. There was at one point I actually I accidentally bumped one back and I went. Well,
I have spent so much time with just my body.
Yeah.
Wait, didn't we win that one? Why'd you go up?
Oh, because I won the challenge. You guys won this one.
Gotcha. Gotcha.
Oh my god. My This is so hot.
All right. Here, we'll we'll reset.
You've You know, you've been clutched, Dick. You've You've won every curse.
I've I've done curling the curse. I'll give myself that.
Couldn't do it.
Couldn't do it. I feel like you have the harder one. Coming back to us, we're going to
It's tough when it's related to something someone else has done.
The Last Lander part. Neither of us have made it home. So, we're going to go into the Last Lander part. A path of salvation.
So, we're going to trash all cursing gotcha cards. No more tugs can be earned. Okay.
I mean,
um and then basically whatever you control, which you control one, grab a cube and mark that you have one
toward your goal.
Yeah.
Right.
Okay. So basically now we are going to go into a series of grand trials. There are specific ones with a hot dog on it because it's the like the hot dog hot dog.
Uh what's it called? Hot dog of destiny.
Hot dog of destiny.
Yeah, it's basically like the hot dog of Destiny essentially. Uh okay. So now we're going to a series of grand trials. Each success gives you a cube. First one of three cubes wins. So you obviously have a head start on us.
That's good.
Y
I've already separated out the ones with hot dogs on them. They are just amongst all of the grand trials. Say that again.
So, we are going to go through a series of grand trials. Each time you win, you gain a cube. The first team to get to three cubes wins.
And the cubes are just of any color.
Yeah, the cubes are just markers or we can use these.
We got to get two. They got to get three cuz it's the last lander part to get off this goddess.
It was a hood.
You answered my question.
All right. Fluke jacks. Equal teams set up. One player holds one ooper card. Mhm.
Uh, split the remaining uper cards into two equal piles. You may have to leave one out. Each team messily spreads out one of the piles face down in front of their rivals. These piles should look about the same. Players flip up ooper cards using the card they're holding as a spatula.
Goal will be the fastest team to flip all of your uper cards face up.
Oh man. Okay,
so let's get this out of the way then. We don't need this anymore. We don't need the board anymore. So
yeah, this this is going to the freaking arena now.
Danger of these cards either.
So wait, are we working together or is it just one person is is
you want to?
So we each get one. We each get one. I'll be the spatula man.
Okay.
My strength is in
throwing off your curses. That's
And then Jimmy's going to make a little a little casino wash pile in front of me. David, you're going to make a casino wash pile in front of Nick and then we're going to get to flipping.
We're trying to flip all the cards face.
That was the even number.
No, I I I mix up casino wash.
Yeah, they should look about the same.
This is my spatula.
There are many like it, but this one is mine. It's a six of
Is all spread like everyone's down or are they um stacked at all?
No, that's fine. Doesn't really matter. Yeah.
Okay.
All right.
I think you kind of make this. They should look more or less the same. So, I guess we'll this is be spread out a little more, but yeah. All right. Cool.
All right.
All right.
So, so I just got to get them on the other side, right?
Yeah. Here. Here. Hang on one second. We're going to do We're going to create the divider.
Oh, yeah. So, everything on that side is Mike's jacks.
Okay.
All right. This I might be really good at this or really awful. I don't know.
Okay. I would probably be good.
Counts down.
And is it timed or is it just who's just the first one? Get them all face up. All right. Okay. Three, two, ooper. Oh, get out of the damn Come on. Get away from All right.
Nick,
are you serious? What was your method?
You doing one at a time or you doing groups?
I'll do groups.
Doing groups. The tough thing would be I would blame you and then it would be like you'd have to like double
I would have to double flip them have that happen right away and that
see I thought you had to do them one at a time.
That's another Here's the thing. Here's the thing that's great about this and about being people watch Taskmaster is like if you can interpret the rule a certain way. So both I was just like I'm just going to scoop these bad boys. It didn't work out for me but I
I think the method was
I feel my decision to let Nick do it.
Yeah. Yeah.
All righty.
I'm not going to lie, David.
One more VB. We are on the road, babies.
That's going to be so loud. You're going to think that's where the audio thing is. That was such a clap.
Go to showdown.
Oh, another builder.
Set up. Keep all available cubes and uper cards within reach of both teams.
Not those.
Build one tower in an open area, one level at a time, not one tower per team. Each level is a cube uh with an uper card balance on top. God.
Oh,
alternate teams as well as players. Go be the first team to add a level without making the tower fall.
Okay. So,
