hello welcome back to the channel and this is a channel where we give you reviews playthroughs unboxings we generally like to talk a lot of bollocks tabletop gaming in general in this video we're going to be talking about another dexterity game we're going to be talking about Kung Fu zoo and in this game you will be taking on the role of some creatures Bing out in an arena with dice open to be the last person standing that will allow you to win the game set in this video going to be giving you a very brief overview of the rules we telling you what we do like what we don't like we'll come back and we'll tell you whether we're not fuu is still worth your time and bother today and in the future so remember if you're new if please consider subscribing to his channel it like buing all that YouTube [ __ ] see you after this bollocks so Kung fuu how to play this game so Kung fuzu is a 2 to four player game depending on how many players you're playing with it's going to be some slightly different rules so we're going to be talking about the two-player game today right there's two different variations included in the Box you got the points battle where you'll be battling for points and you got the cage battle which is going to be like an elimination type event each player is going to take an animal board and you'll put it to the side of the board which corresponds to the rules that you're playing right each player will then take four dice associated with that animal and then the first player will place one of their dice on the midpoint of any of the Rails around the board this is like the little dimple thing that looks like an inverted nipple and then the player will flick that die into the arena you got to remember that on your first turn your animal d has to hit one of the

Rails before it hits any other dice on your subsequent turns you don't have to b b roll cuz you are a bunch of Lawless bastards right then you will keep flicking all of your dice into the arena once you flicked all of your four dice into the arena you'll add up the number of points that you got so if you got a face up die will give you five points back up will give you four points side up or butt up will give you three points and feet up will give you two points the player with the highest score earns Point equal to the difference between the scores so that round so player one will earn the difference between their opponent scores yeah play continues in this vein until 21 points has reached and then player who's got the most points over will be the winner right if an animal falls through one of the OES then it is caged and it will be unavailable for the rest of the rank it be under the [ __ ] board right it you donut and if you knock your animal out of the Reena then it's classed as cage there as well so if you decide to play the cage battles a little bit different you're going to be doing roughly the same things as you did in the points battle but your animal is feet up then it will be classed as being caged as is if it is lost to one of the pockets and you'll be able to use your animal special abilities right most of these are once per game but some of them a and you'll keep doing this until there's only one player with non-caged dice left in the arena you also got to remember if you're playing with four players then you're only going to be having two dice in the arena at once once these become CED you'll be able to use your other dice and you'll keep doing this until you are eliminated or you'll win the game yeah so then player who wins a game wins a game right do we like Kung Fu zooo so the first thing that we really

like about this is that pulling off an impossible looking shot is actually quite satisfying it's not really the same sort of feeling as if you play Paul or another wonderful death St going karuka but still managing to flick your die and sink an opponent into one of the pockets from a seemingly impossible angle it's a bit like having a wank in a sock right so the second thing that we really like about this is there's a good blend of skill and luck you got to have a morum of skill in order to win this game but also you've got to rely on the luck of the dice in the sense that you're at the mercy of the way that they roll yeah if one of your dice is feet up then you do have the opportunity to knock that die into a different position which will then free it up for the subsequent rounds and obviously you are going to want to hone your skills to get the angles right to sink your opponent's dice into the pockets to make them caged yeah so the blender skill and luck sort of cancels each other out and they both augment each other quite well so the final thing that we like about this is that there is an easy game which just lets you accumulate points without using any special abilities and then there's the more complex cage battle where you do get to use these special abilities I don't see the reason why you couldn't use special abilities in a simple game but there you go so some of the special abilities of the creatures are if you got the zebra youve got the dust up ability it says during your opponent's turn the opponent must close their eyes or look away before flicking their next animal this is a bit of a nasty one but we like to wrap our opponents heads in bandages just so that they don't Peak from behind their eyelids if you are the

elephant you get the charge ability says during your turn flick a face up or backup elephant it's position in the arena off of the rail so this is fantastic right cuz this gives you a definite leg up when you are taking your shot if you want a cheater this is the one that my kids don't really like that much they always sigh when they are the cheater and they get a sneak ability it says use at the end of your turn move a non stun cheater to a new location in the arena right little bit feeble but can be useful or if you're the gorilla you got gorilla tactics sure if gorilla actually had any tactics or even if they were actually involved in any sizable military campaigns but you never know and it says during your turn instead of flicking off the rail you may flick your gorilla from the top of a stunned gorilla in order to make the Swarm workk you got have a stunned gorilla so this gives you a little bit of a bonus if you are lagging Beyond with those stun gorillas you know so special abilities are pretty nice and yeah if they weren't in there be a little bit boring would it so don't we like B Kung Fu Zoo so the first thing that we don't like about this game is that there isn't enough characters in the Box we could have done with maybe couple more or I'm going to be greedy and say four more characters give it a bit more variation because you're always going to have the same number of characters the same special abilities in each game and that renders the game a little bit Bland when it comes to replayability and obviously where you're going to have to play the cheatah if you're playing with a four player game somebody's going to have to be the cheater and I always end up being the cheater because my kids don't want to be the [ __ ] cheater right so yeah more characters good four characters in the Box bad so second thing we don't like about this is that the icons on the dice are not uniform they' made different icons for the same thing so

these can be a little bit confusing if you're using different animals in each game you're constantly having a look back at the character card and thinking well is that the elephant's foot or is it something else or what the bloody out does that mean does it actually mean anything at all because some of the icons don't actually mean anything so it can be a little bit confusing it's a little bit frustrating where the game doesn't flow because you're looking back trying to cross reference some [ __ ] icons it they could have made more simple right so the final thing that we don't like about Kung fuzu is that sometimes this game just feels like you're playing by yourself you are relying on your opponents to make errors and there's not really any way to sort of force them to make an error in this game there's no way of getting a snooker for instance pushing your opponent into the corner and as such it just feels a little bit empty for a dexterity game just wanted a little bit more out of this I'm sure there could have been things that they could have implemented in the game so make it feel a little bit more solid a little bit more complete maybe an expansion might be good I don't believe there's going to be any expansions for this because it's already had a rethe in a WWE wrestling type thing which in my mind at least was a massive boo boo so yeah we're stuck with Kung fuzu as it is and I just feel like up been short changeed a little bit you know though is kung fuu worth your time and bother today and in the future so we're going to say maybe maybe not dexterity games are probably one of our favorite genres of games here and kung fu is a novel take on dexterity games that is decent but it just doesn't quite reach the level that I would

expect from games like this it feels bere and empty at times and is more of a solitaire game with surprise interactions dependent on how the dice are rolled however this offers something different in a crowded genre and I still pull this out more than I pull out my Willie these days so you go that is kung fu Zoo remember if you knew it and please consider subscribing to this Channel with the like button or that YouTube [ __ ] we'll see you next time
