hello welcome back to the ball games 4k youtube channel in this is a channel where we give you reviews play for his unboxings that we generally talk a lot of Pollock's tabletop gaming in general and in this video we're gonna be talking about the top 10 games made out of wood and it could be power but it could be MDF could be any type of wood or whatever anything like and in this video we're gonna be going from 10 down to 1 they're not going to be in any specific order because these are wooden games that we really enjoy they're all they're all wonderful games so all these games are beloved by us so remember if you knew it and please consider subscribing to this channel leave a comment in this section down below and we'll see you after this board games

so number 10 on this list is a game called shoal but I think that's how you pronounce it it's otherwise known as Dutch shuffleboard and in this game will you be doing you'll be launching disks on this track hoping to get a certain amount of disks into the right slots at the top of the board in order to score points and you'll be given the ten discs each angel' the games played over free round will you be launching these disks up this track to get them into the right slots at the top of a board but the trick is is you need to fill up each track fully with these disks in order to double your points so though he said he PI over three rounds and then the game's over and whoever's got the most points wins Shaw back is a fantastic game is it morphed into the American big shuffleboard titles you know but you can pick this up you can be like a small version that we got for next enough int and once you've mastered that you can go on to the two meteor table and it's a wonderful game that it's number ten short back

so number nine on this list is a game plays it up to four players you can't play with two but it's pretty pointless it's essentially a full plug game no it's got two names it's now known as roll it or roll it or bonk right and focus the cheaper version still made-up word but roll it is the roll it is the more expensive version so what you've got you at these got these sort of slides slides at the each corner of the board and then you've got a ball in the table middle of the table and which tryna throw he's trying to roll these ball bearings into the center of the table to knock this ball into the opponent's goal yes it's fast it's furious you know it's not got a lot of depth or her loss skill and if the game is over very quickly but we're still really enjoy playing bonk we've done a video this one if you want to see our place it's pretty cheap if it's off a four we quit the expensive version is probably back with obviously bad quality and it probably plays bad but it doesn't really matter because bonk is excellent

so I'm number on this list is a sort but wouldn't dexterity game and it's called blocky melons and this is one of our favorite sort of dexterity games he got but basically what you got these laws of these different blocks and you've got a book that tells you how to set up the course that you're going to be using so you've got an explorer with a backpack of provisions and then you've got a grizzly bear as well and you've got ropes and hooks that you need to drag or lift or drop you've got negotiate these these courses successfully in order to win the game and it is a place out of seven players astonishingly but it's one of our favorite dictionary games so flew under the radar when it was released a few years ago and we did have to actually contact the designer of this game in order to get hold of it but yeah Rocky Mountains I think it's been reprinted and I think it is actually still available from Amazon in Germany or wherever just have a look for it blocking bounds we highly recommend this one and yeah that's on number eight

so number seven on this list is a world famous game is sir it plays up to four plies by essentially a two ply game and it's sometimes it's known as finger pull or fingers caught in it's called carom and what you'll be doing on this one you'll be using a puck to knock your colored discs into one of the four corner calls on the table but you have to always shoot from behind the line on your side of the board so this sir game there's a World Championships of carom is this various so it's played a lot in India I think the Indians have got the best players of careless it's very very popular in the Indian subcontinent and yeah we really like playing carom our kids are at pioneer we came to this from another another game this sort of similar but not similar and I think variation of this one there's played in the Eastern Europe I do believe it uses cues to to knock the park instead yeah that's Karen we've got a really nice board in the garage so it's really good and yeah that's our number seven carom some number six on this list is a game called a shuffle puck and we're not talking about the big american baja type thing we're talking about the air hockey top version without the air so what you got honest when you got big board with goals on either end and you've got a paddle and you've got a puck and you need to sprinkle this sort potato starch sort of care and powder on board to make it nice and smooth so the puck flies around nice and basically what you're trying to do you're just trying to knock

the puck into your opponent's goal and it's just like air hockey but you don't need an electricity supply you take this anywhere we've done a play for this on totes update it's one of our favorite games made our wood it's fast as furious as reneik and if you can pick up a table cheap i think we paid 12 quid for our shuffle pocket a ball one of the best bargains we've ever seen it's a vast tabletop game is concerned it's a wonderful wonderful game is to players only but it's over so quickly and it's very skillful shuffle pucks wonderful

so number five on this list is a game this originated in France I believe it's in France it's now just a little past trap but in english-speaking countries is known as pocket I think that's what's called Bo says you what you got you got this are at a board with a bar in the center that crosses the center of the table with a notch cut out of it so you can see through anyway and then you each end of the board you got an elastic band and you'll be pinging these disks through this it's not to try and get all of your pieces over to opponent side before your opponent does the same thing and the thing about this one is it looks really simple but where it's actually a bit of an endurance test because your arm starter gets on real quick and where it's so fast and you're trying to ping these things you do get tired on numerous occasions when we played this we'll start breaking out into a bitter sweat you know so one yes another one in games it's very very simple and it's over very quickly but the fact that it increases your heart rate to such an extent it's it's a wonderful game and that isn't a past trap slash pocket

so I know before nice list is a it's a dice game but it's a wooden game and it's tumbler dice and more you'll be doing you'll be setting up this source ELISA this layered plinths I've made out of wood and you'll be putting a dice onto the top layer of plain food you'll be flicking a dice down these steps and where if the dice lands you times the number of pips on the die by the number on the plinth and obviously the further down you go the harder it is to score and you think it more points you get and it's this one has the perfect blend of luck and skill and it plays when you buy two dice for this and it plays an infinite number of people and where you're just basically flicking a die the game's length is really increased that much and obviously the game ends when you get 200 points and there's very loads of different variations - it's like it's almost like a silver ital where you can choose your own rules for this one but it's I don't know anybody who's played this who hasn't enjoy themselves it's a bit of us of a pub types of party going but it's also it's quite skillful as well and a stumbling dice

so number three on this list is a Scandinavian game with a blue borders classical classic and will you be doing with this one you've got a looker sort of a table hockey type board with the sort of magnetic handle so you'll be putting one bit under the tape and what the whole talk to the table and then you'll be putting the ball on the center of the table when you're Patrona knock the ball into your opponent's gold but China not to pull your brought into your own goal and there's these three loops of nugget things on the board magnetic things and if you get two of them stuck to your your rod then you will lose a point it's a farthing so first of six points and this one is absolutely fantastic this is work on convinced that this game is going to go down as an all-time classic game we love classic it's only two players but there's a 4pi version coming out soon it might be out now but we're definitely going to pick that up you this world championship for this and I can see why because the more we play it the better you get at it and knowing the angles and the speed and everyone laughed and oh if there's one game on this list that you need to pipe is this one this it's classic that's our number three

so number two on this list is one of our favorite games of all time its pitch car and this game is absolutely our standard so what you got you've got these little discs they're meant to be your cars way and you construct these tracks out these MDF pieces of wood and it will be flicking your discs around a track there's a few blogs about you know if your car falls over or goes off the track and whatever but they're really easier know that you'll be flicking up this round a track and you ever completes the number of laps that you just predetermined then they win the game and this is that simple but the skill involved in this is is amazing you know the more you play the better you get at it and the wealth of available track pieces that have come out now and they've got a loop-de-loop this sort of as on kickstarter our year ago and you can if you wanted to you could create recreate the entire Formula One season tracks if you wanted to / yes so far as a longevity skill general fun is concerned pitch car can't be beat

so number one on this list is a game that is over 200 years old and has played all over the world it started off in Canada and it from there it's grown nobody really knows what the true origins of this one but it's called coconut and it's around board with a hole in the middle and you'll be flicking disks trying to get them into the hole and there's different concentric rings on the board to give you less points the further out you go and you'll be trying to flick your disk into the center or get it as close to the center as possible but once you've got a disk on the board you have to hit one of your own disks before before it lands and if you don't you have to take off the board and when everyone's run out of disks then you you taught the where you are you get 20 points for getting one in the center fifteen ten and five and then you had only eight points so it's got the most wins koknal is a undeniably a classic game is played all over the world this world championships if I had to choose a game that was made out of wood that is the pure definition of skill its croakin all because this is a marvel I mean it's a dexterity game work but you need to know your angle she needs the thing I don't like a buckle always I'm absolute crappy and doesn't matter how much I play on there I haven't got that hands up my coordination but having said that I do feel that I have improved wholly is in solving the skyboxes I don't play enough you need to invest a lot of time into coconut but it's still a game that you can pick up and play with children and anybody could play it's over so that's the reason this is top of the list it's the most well-regarded game on

this list and it's probably the best game I've made our wood that you can get today so you'll ask woken up that's our top 10 games made out of wood remember if you're new here then please consider subscribing to our channel leave a comment in our section down below and we'll see you next time
