We Are Moving! - Stella's Tabletop Diary

0:14 hi stella and tarant here from nipple university welcome to my weekly tabletop diary today we are going to just updating you on what's going on really quickly and where are we going because we are moving yes you're right you've got that with your thumbnail right we are moving your moving house it's not going to affect how you watch us or how you enjoy our content in any way we are just moving from our current home to a different one from melbourne to melbourne yes so please have a look at your surrounding which is the background that's probably the last time that you're going to see that background yeah there'll probably be a little transition period you'll see some old videos and some new ones but essentially yeah we're moving to a new place we're likely to have a new background um new backdrop yep maybe the same i might keep my short and sweat video the same porcy yeah well we'll try a few things out to see what looks good so we won't promise that what it's going to look like but yes it will change yes speaking about moving that has been a big last few days for us boxes everywhere instead of board games we pretty much pack almost all of our board games collection yeah to our live or in boxes yeah and it's added up to a lot of boxes yeah we've we have a lot of games obviously and um probably half of what we've packed so

1:45 far has been boxes of boxes of games really um i think so you reckon oh so far so far we haven't got everything packed yet um but the i mean the board game shelf is our biggest one we've really had to pack them first to uh make space to pack everything else i suppose speaking about space we're also going to americondo some of our games unfortunately we we're actually too busy to think about to sort of what we're going to do what not we're probably going to donate some but that's probably possibly the vlog on our new house um and you know write ask in the comments if you've done that as well based on what what are you getting rid of i mean i'm really i feel like i'm quite attached to board games that i have that i have played i've got given but unfortunately our house is limited although we're moving to a bigger and better place but you know at some point we'll have to miraculous things yeah yeah new um new space is really the major reason we're moving we've at the moment we're in an apartment with two smallish rooms and one combined living area yeah we're going to be able to separate our studio from our living area which is going to be uh quite nice i think that'll be that'll be the highlight for me i think being able to have our living area and

3:15 not have all our lights and equipment around it yes my highlight would be beside that as well it's more space for board games i mean okay fine it's like we're talking about my condo the game so cutting down our collection but then again at the same time we're not going to be stretching out trying to fit games into our place and one important thing is i've got a bigger working space so currently i'm working in a tight corner in the corner of our house which is actually this way so that part is my working space my computer and then scrunch up in the corner with a narrow table and really narrow you know narrow table and then not too wide as well yeah it took us a long time to to get to this point i guess when we first moved here we weren't doing this channel stella wasn't um you know working on it working on the computer anywhere near as much as now and so what was in reality a pretty bad ergonomic setup um you know was was formed at that time and now it's been since um since this past year or so when stella's been on it most of the time um you know it really hasn't it's not what you'd want it's not what you'd get in an office and it'll be a really good thing to be able to get that extra space bigger table gonna go sit stand yeah i've got a stand table from ikea so check that out if you're having some issue it's just not really that expensive this is then one this is not like the electronic

4:45 one you can get electronic one there's a couple hundred more australian but then there's this one that you can crank out the table hand crank hand cranked it but you know it's better and then it's lower i don't have to put my feet on the foot fast so my feet will be flat on the table for you you know if you've done social media like editing a lot of computer work you probably have maybe a better understanding of what i'm talking about like really you know working on a very comfortable economic economic table and working space yeah so that's what we're looking for yeah we're going to a larger filming table as well you probably won't end up seeing that because yeah at all it'll look ill usually the games we're filming aren't getting bigger yes like a really tight filming as we usually do else is new to her i think those are the major things we'll see i think we're um you know we're just going through that whole packing stage when you've got a big collection of board games and then also we've got books and we've got you know kitchen stuff and all the other things collections i've shoes bags i've still got quite a good cd collection and you know it all it all adds up and it's a busy couple of weeks getting that all into boxes so what i want to know is that have you moved with your board game collections you even moved country how did you do it how did you get rid of some of the things yeah i'm sure you have to get rid of it when you move country

6:17 not so much as move suburbs like us uh move city maybe maybe not but move country you i can imagine you're getting rid of everything that you think you're gonna do how did you do it please throw in the comment sections below and maybe that will help us move as well so as you can see here i'm going to just like show you photos here so it's almost kind of like we're about 50 percent moving done it's really hard to say you never know how much stuff you've got until it's all out of the shells yeah um and you lose track of how much of your you know cubic meter cubic footage of home space is inside shelves yeah um i remember when we moved in we could barely when nothing was open and on its shelves we could barely fit everything into this place yep so basically yeah we have more games yes but less couches yes you have to get rid of like a part of the couch so that's basically it the update really nice short and quick now as a bonus question name some of the games that you know that is to do with house we got to make this a board game themed yeah vlogs somehow yeah so what is it you got some that you um mentioning earlier in the day yeah well um welcome to of course is the obvious ones so uh we

7:47 did not flip the pool card um but we flipped the park card i think because there's a park on the adjacent street to us and so you know we got a backyard now we do have a backyard i know we have to get a lawnmower yep that's frustrating hey i will make however it has got lemon tree in our backyard so i will make you laminate when you learn the moon when you moan the lawn there you go thank you don't even need an errand boy to pick up our lemonade now food chain magnet exactly those zeppelins have to fly over but who knows if we want to drink it no one's put a billboard next to us that says drink lemonade you like my lemonade right yeah i do yeah that's very good very good there you go yes anything else aaron um you know on the subject of building houses i remember we played dream home yes yes it's not a game we own actually it's not a game i've seen in australia right origins we played it at origins actually not sure i've seen it in australia um yeah that was a nice little drafting game yeah it's dream home yeah yeah i've seen it before it was at pax australia yeah i think good games might have it yeah okay i mean they're still around though anyways yeah i mean it's nothing you don't get out of any drafting game but it's just got that neat thing you've got the cards you've got the different ways of getting points put things together nice little game i know and one that i can

9:18 think of is house flip no flip house house slippers house sleepers thank you yeah that's a nice one as well it's very it's a real time not cooperative real time trying to raise basically resource management exchanging resources to try to upgrade your home to actually work towards your retirement goal yeah that's a really nice game as well yeah i play i think you play that at gen con or essen i haven't actually played i play that at sm the first time i play it i play uh two or three player game and one of those is tom fatal so i played with tom yeah and he won i think i think he won yes i was like still jet lag i was so tired it was it's not that heavy game it was a simple game but i was so tired and i couldn't understand the rules or something else i keep asking why what's going on and he just keep like like getting the good house and then flipping resources flipping the hourglass and that sort of thing it was a good game anything else you can think of or anyone as well just from the comments there's something little house yeah we're not moving into a green colored house yeah so monopoly is out technically it's building house as well no yeah i think it costs a little bit more than 50 pounds or whatever the going rate for a house in monopoly is how about was it that place with like looks like monopoly but it's not it's like glams of caledonia no not houses that's not building houses that's a nudge yeah it's a house representing a village yes

10:50 i think that's it so i don't think i can think of anything else yet it's your house is a pyramid that's pushing it i think thinking about church work and we just played taiwan things for you yeah um if you were with us at the live playthrough we got some technical issues with the internet we got it sorted at the end after like three separate or four separate streams so you know people are being so nice and they understand and they just like keep jumping through the next and the next next stream which is i really appreciate that i don't expect anyone you know jumping videos from stream to stream just from straight away it was like four hours or something it was a four hour video it was a good game four hour game yep that's um yeah that's basically that's all castles have made king woodvig that's oh yeah it's more grandiose yeah and than the place we're moving to but it still has those houses standard rooms and if you go to between two castles it's got the um it's got the board game room and we need one of those we're gonna have board game room we're gonna have a gaming nook so just room well open room or whatever just like a section gaming table some board games gaming accessories and that's it so taran is that a representation of your man cage man cave cave okay i'm locked up i'm a caption
