4:34 five five layers of ice I think they said five layers of ice which is basically hexes all layered up which you'll see on some nice images that I'm out editing at some point here um and yeah looks very interesting using like a a man Cara kind of system so sending your dudes out in lines uh doing a little bit of exploration as well having some action points bit of worker placement with different workers lots of things that I like the sound of so I don't know why I didn't get around to playing this one I don't know it's yeah it's half fault it's our fault really we definitely we definitely need to get our I blame no one but me yeah and we probably should back this one or yeah or try and get hold of it it looks super cool yeah especially because the production is got all this very nice minis the all the board itself as I said it before looks it looks really really impactful um so yeah that's uh cool yeah got some awards as well Dice Tower loved it was like a game of the year or something for for one of the team over there it's uh yeah it's good people like it ice baby what's better than Pirates uh space pirates space pirates that's the only team that is cooler than a pirat is a space pirate I agree what are we talking about um and space pirate um a new game that just launched on game f that is Ion core it literally like this there while we're talking and uh you basically are a space pirate uh in this

6:05 sci-fi future world and you know l d all that that all the usual things but um what you're going to do is basically you got this very huge map with exagonal exagonal map that is is this this futuristic sea uh where you're going to take your futuristic space pirate space ship and um you g to basically we travel around sea um sail through S the open seasl with weace what's going to be the space gr I'm a I think they call who know anyway um so basically um it is a s the the idea of the game is been a Sandbox game uh where you're going to travel around do whatever you want to do so if you want to go exploring you want to go pillaging you can do a lot of stuff you got this very huge map that you going to fill up with tiles every time you explore um a different hex and uh yeah and then basically um you start with a very with a skeleton crew where you're going to do just like some basic action like moving and exploring and during your exploration doing your adventure you're going to get more Pirates more more crew to to join your uh your adventure and they're going to give you um they're going to open up to all the different um action that you can do for whatever it is it's like more exploring or more fighting or all that kind of stuff using some action point system as well so they've got commands

7:36 that you can be navigating scanning things plundering apparently and when you spent all your command points your turn is then over uh but as you say you can hire specialist you've got various cards that are going to be uh active and doing cool things and giving you bonuses it looks super cool I love the idea of space pirates and I love the idea of exploration games I like them I very much like zir Legends of yeah exactly although not really the same it's given me some of those vibes with the hex sort of you know looking around and and and having a good old time so this looks super fun like space pirates again sendbox games um they call yeah it's um it's always tricky because sometimes it's too much uh but this seems to be oh too lose yeah this one seems to have some legs we look yeah Wayne yeah um listen to this okay I'm here you got kids in school okay okay uh but they are divided in different classes and different things uh they are they are magician they are little Wizards right they're all in a castle okay uh that where all they train to be to be magician Wizard or witches I know exactly what you're talking about it must be Harry Potter it's not okay it's not okay well you fooled me what is it we're talking about Fox pole okay Fox pole what's Fox pole is foxb is this

9:08 worker placement game uh where you basically are Harry Potter without being Harry Potter uh legally distinct from Harry Potter legally distinct from Harry Potter but um again you're divided in different houses and um you're trying to bring as much glory to your house as possible uh with your worker placement you're going to basically train to be a better magician or doing this and doing that and doing dueling with all them with the other player that the other wizard wizard Jewels with a one with a W you got a w and you can that sounds pretty fun I mean if you are into your Harry I mean I know lots and lots of people you freaking love some Harry Potter in their life so if you're into that this might be something for you to take a look at um this is by actually uh gdo Gams uh who did cultists Among Us okay so they've already got a legally distinct game which was like among us but different legally distinct and does its own thing so they've got a thing that they're do I mean it's legal we can do it yeah that's right why on Earth not so yeah Fox poor looks pretty cool looks crunchier than you might imagine so for something then like a uh in like a Harry Potter adjacent theme you might think it might be more like kid friendly or family friendly but this looks a little bit crunchier than that it looks quite busy too the map yes the board looks quite busy um my

10:40 understanding is that there is plenty of action that you can you can select and um again with all the worker placement you always want to be at this point at that time you want to stop all the people BL doing this or that action uh there is a cool mechanisms while um the first to go in the certain space go X the second goes Epsilon but if the third one goes in the first two doesn't get anything so it's quite a that's why it's it's seems like pretty crunchy uh the theme is not for me uh but but I see how the games could be for me so you got to level up on that so um I'm not a Harry Potter fan but I guess there are million million people that there are so this looks pretty cool and plus the the one f is pretty that sounds pretty fun yeah that's uh Fox po next one um is another game that we cover we touched uh last year um factor and yes been and the high factor is late pledged now on game found it looks like very much up your street it is up we're talking about we're talking about NATA A New Beginning so this one we talked about on the hypera and the reason I picked it is because it looks really cool doing a few things that I really like but and also the artwork looks amazing pretty really really beautiful looking uh game but it has some closed drafting it is a medium to heavyweight Euro we're talking Advanced game maybe

12:11 virging on Expert yeah towards that end the yeah exactly towards the heavier side but playing in two hours or less which is you know that's kind of hits the sweet spot for me a little bit if I don't have to spend ages learning the rules so still to be found out once we sit down and see if there's a whole book of rules then might have a problem but at the moment it looks really really cool it does some clothes drafting love that worker placement with different worker types love pretty cool yeah which is really decent a little bit of set collection um it looks we love some AA majority on the show as well uh but you're essentially playing as a intelligent sentient animal tribe exploring and controlling areas that have been abandoned in a post Humanity world so we're all dead well we're long gone we're long dead and the animals have taken over your dog now rules dog rules so that's the that's the idea there needs to be more Franks in this world but I'm absolutely that everyone be happy so uh but this looks it looks super fun it's a beautiful looking game look more heavy uh does when you look at the board it looks quite of like yeah very very eoy kind of busy but also very interesting one that I'm very very keen to play cuz I do like me the sort of mid to heavyweight Euro but what I don't like is when they become like overly convoluted and where I need a second book to understand the game I guess if it's true that it's as a game for four under two hours or half an hour per player I think that is uh

15:13 um and you need to then manage them correctly uh to try and get the most uh the most success uh you've got a deck of cards as well to manage your speed so where you might management management like like heat like heat off rou exactly also with a little bit of slip streaming like that in there fighting for position um and yeah which seems really cool and also you've got um different terrain that you have to battle through as well try try and make the most of ss like it's they got like a wide map where a wide race uh there was a comment about from the designer that they implemented as well doing so you can do your you can juice up but win but if you get caught that's it so you're out so it's uh it's it's very interesting I would really like to know if it's a reimplementation all I'm question they took a lot of um inspiration from what is now a Mythic game from 1979 so I'm really really interested about this and I'll definitely keep a close eye maybe back if it looks seem really cool we're going to keep an eye on this one and see how it progresses so that's Grand Fondo so that was the very first crowdfund Mania let's get ready to to back to back games and spend money that we will probably regret as a later date no maybe not some of these games that's the good the the the thr of the of game founds are kickstarted just so you be
