Community Guidelines
Effective Date: May 19, 2026
MindForge is a community for board game enthusiasts to discover games, share knowledge, and connect with fellow gamers. These guidelines exist to keep MindForge safe, welcoming, and enjoyable for everyone. By using MindForge, you agree to follow these guidelines.
1. Prohibited Content
The following content is strictly prohibited on MindForge. Uploading, sharing, or distributing any of the following will result in immediate action:
Non-Consensual Intimate Images (NCII)
Sharing intimate or sexually explicit images of any person without their consent is prohibited. This includes AI-generated intimate imagery of real people. MindForge complies with the federal TAKE IT DOWN Act and will remove reported NCII within 48 hours of a valid report and block identical copies from being re-uploaded.
Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM)
Any content depicting the sexual exploitation or abuse of minors is strictly prohibited. MindForge reports all confirmed CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) via CyberTipline, as required by federal law (18 USC §2258A). Evidence is preserved for a minimum of one year.
Harassment & Threats
Bullying, intimidation, threats of violence, doxxing, or targeted harassment of any individual or group is not allowed. This applies to all platform interactions including guild posts, profile content, and game night communications.
Intellectual Property Infringement
Do not upload content that infringes on copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights. If you believe your IP has been infringed, see our DMCA policy or use our content reporting form.
Spam & Deceptive Content
Automated posting, misleading links, phishing attempts, and unsolicited commercial content are prohibited.
Age Restriction
MindForge is not intended for users under the age of 13. Accounts identified as belonging to users under 13 will be removed in compliance with COPPA. Users between 13 and 18 must have parental acknowledgment as outlined in our Terms of Service.
2. Reporting Content
If you encounter content that violates these guidelines, please report it immediately:
Report content: Use our content reporting form to submit a report. Reports involving NCII or CSAM are treated with the highest priority and trigger immediate automated action.
You may also contact us directly at compliance-ops@mindforge.games.
All reports are reviewed and tracked. We take every report seriously and will respond in accordance with the severity of the violation and applicable law.
3. Consequences
Violations of these guidelines may result in the following actions, applied at MindForge's discretion based on severity:
- Warning — A notification that your content or behavior violates the guidelines, with a request to correct it.
- Content Removal — The offending content is removed from the platform. For NCII and CSAM reports, removal is automated and immediate upon report submission.
- Account Suspension — Temporary restriction of account access for repeated or serious violations.
- Permanent Ban — Permanent removal from MindForge for severe violations, repeated offenses, or illegal activity. Banned users may not create new accounts.
MindForge maintains a repeat-infringer policy. Accounts with multiple substantiated violations across any category may face escalated consequences up to and including permanent removal.
4. Appeals
If you believe your content was removed in error or that an enforcement action was unjust, you may request a review by emailing aaron@mindforge.games with:
- Your account email address
- A description of the content or action in question
- Why you believe the decision should be reconsidered
Appeals are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. MindForge reserves the right to uphold its original decision. Note that NCII and CSAM removals are governed by federal law and are generally not subject to reinstatement.
5. Guild Owner Responsibilities
Guild owners and moderators are responsible for maintaining a safe environment within their guilds. This includes:
- Ensuring guild content complies with these Community Guidelines
- Removing content that violates the guidelines within their guild
- Reporting serious violations (NCII, CSAM, threats) to MindForge via the content reporting form, even if the content has been removed from the guild
- Not using guild moderation tools to suppress legitimate criticism or discussion
MindForge may take platform-level action on guild content that violates these guidelines, regardless of guild-level moderation decisions.
6. Changes to These Guidelines
MindForge may update these Community Guidelines at any time. Significant changes will be communicated through the platform. Continued use of MindForge after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated guidelines.
