Delete your MindForge account
Last updated 22 August 2026
This page covers the one MindForge account you use across all of our products:
- mindforge.games (website)
- MF Game Night (iOS)
- Game Shelf (Android)
Deleting your account is permanent. It cannot be undone, and we cannot restore an account or its data afterwards — not from a backup, not on request.
What is removed, and what is kept

If you signed in with Apple, we also revoke that sign-in with Apple, so MindForge disappears from the list of apps using your Apple ID.
Kept, with your identity stripped out
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Your member record | Name, email address, profile photo and the Apple/Google identifiers are erased and the record is marked inactive. The empty row itself stays so that other members' game nights and play history do not break. |
| Feedback you sent us | Your name, account id, the attached screenshot and the captured browser context are all erased. Only the message text and the address of the page you sent it from are kept, because open bug reports are worked from them. |
| Votes and play history in game nights you joined | These belong to the group as much as to you, so they stay — shown as "Deleted User". Deleting them would erase other people's records of evenings they played. |
| Guilds and game nights you created | Kept so the other members do not lose the group, and shown as created by "Deleted User". |
Kept in full
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Creator disclosures and authenticity appeals | Moderation and compliance records. We are required to be able to show why a ranking decision or an appeal outcome was reached, so these are kept. |
| Encrypted server backups | Nightly backups can still contain your data for up to 30 days, after which they are overwritten. They are never used to restore a deleted account. |
Option 1 — delete it in the app (fastest)
If you have MF Game Night or Game Shelf installed, deletion is immediate and needs nothing from us:
- Open the app and go to the Profile tab.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
- Confirm twice — the second prompt is the point of no return.
You are signed out as soon as it finishes, and your data is already gone.
Option 2 — delete it here
Sign in on the website and this page will let you delete your account immediately.
If you only ever signed in with Apple or Google inside the app and cannot sign in on the website, use option 3 below.
Option 3 — ask us to delete it
If you no longer have the app and cannot sign in, send us the request here. A person at MindForge reviews every request by hand, matches the address to an account and completes the deletion within 30 days. We will not email you about it — not to confirm the request, and not when it is done — you will simply find the account gone.
To be straight with you about what this is: the form asks for an email address and we have no way to prove, from the form alone, that it is yours — and an email from us would not prove it either, so we do not send one. The check is a human one instead: if a request looks at all doubtful we refuse it rather than delete the wrong account, and you will not hear from us either way. Signing in and using option 2 above is both faster and certain.
