Compare your editions. I I get it, the basic versus the nice. Like, this just And this is what I'm talking about. This feels like not looking at the industry standard and being like, "You're not reinventing the wheel here. Nothing here is feels like special that needs all this special extra love and attention." Whereas, I would just love some regular amounts of attention to, you know, the price, the shopping area. Like, I guess this is it, but it's just eh. Add-ons, 49 bucks. So, what's the price? I don't know. We'll go over here. They're going to make me do it. So, $79 for the deluxeified. That feels fine. That feels in range of what I would expect to pay. Granted, it doesn't feel that deluxeified, but the bases on your acrylics can get me there, as long as your shipping does not suck. Let's see if they get It got 24 people there. That's not good. That is very bad. Oh, no. There's this general rule on Kickstarter critique that over the I've done over like a thousand of these, that seven to ten times to one is great for your deluxeified version versus your standard version. That's like, if you're in that range, you're doing fantastic.

Less than that, there's probably a reason, something you did incorrectly. And I can only imagine if this is 24, this is not good. Unless they have early birds. Hopefully, they have early birds. Uh the founding backer Uh uh Why do I got to pay ten bucks to be a founding backer? A sticker? No. Uh downloadable print and play version, $20. Wow. Thanks. And then the core edition, 49 bucks. Four people. Who the hell's backing this? The retailers? Three? It must have been It must have been an early bird that got everything. Artist edition, seven. Wow. Are you telling me the artist edition has more sold than the standard core edition? That is wild, unless there's an early bird. There had to be an Why is there a sneaker here? What are we doing? Oh my god, that's so cool. Why aren't you leading with this?

I hate I love this and I hate this at once. That light-up sneaker needs to be on the main image. That is, you could literally probably fund this thing off the IP and the line-up sneakers by itself if you spotlighted it. What the hell IS THIS? AND SURE ENOUGH, 13. 13 people like I'm just here for the freaking sneaker. Does this even come with shoes? It doesn't even come with the game. Oh, it does come with the core edition game. Not even the deluxe if I did. What? I got to see how much this is an add-on. Where do we keep going? And this is fun at least. And once again, I go back to how much I hate this campaign. This is a fun shopping section that you chose not to put in your Kickstarter campaign. Why?

Don't make me scroll and find it. This should be in the video like oh yeah and if the most die hard of the die hard, we get the most awesome pledges and the what are we doing here? Who's running the show? Who's running this caboose? Uh includes everything from the artist tier plus yellow gold ultra edition box. This is like the artist fancy. Okay, so people here for the art. 26 on the art. That's even more That's double the shoes. Wow. Oh, early bird. Okay, this makes more sense. Enhance edition 68. Good deal. But wow, since that early bird So in So this is really valuable information. 24 hours uh 151 backers. So we had 68. Yeah, so this is This thing is just teetering. Like it's like what? And it's cuz you're not spotlighting. Like what are we doing here?

Like first and foremost the fact that we're not funded now looks just like you being greedy and feeling the need to make shoes. Like there's no way around it. When you start offering glow-in-the-dark shoes and you're not funded in the first week, that's what we like to call around the Kickstarter critique corner, cart in front of the horse. I Like that I got I don't even think you can see the freaking card at this point. Like the horse is squinting. And you don't even sell it. Well, maybe we're going to go down further. Maybe maybe it's just I got to keep scrolling down. I did stop scrolling for a while. They're going to redeem themselves. What is this? This is an alternate invasion squad add-on. What is this? It's the alternate invasion squad.

Is this actual gameplay that you just kind of buried here? Cuz if like this is what we like to call in the business an expansion. People love these. These should be front and center along with your shoes, along with that pledge where I can just go I just spent $245 on Mars Attacks like an idiot when you go to game night with your friends. Okay, and everybody laughs and has a good time. Then you show up your shoes in a couple months in a year whatnot. It's a fun Kickstarter story. It's why we love coming to Kickstarter shopping. And you screwed it up. You screwed it all up. Like what? Did Did the person who ran this Kickstarter look around and see what people What is this? This is a trooper. This is a single piece. It's just a fancy translucent trooper.

Okay, $20. Well, I wasn't going to back this project, but at a deal like that, how could I resist? Mars Attacks art book, $65. Um Excuse me. I do believe that is more than the cost of your game. Yes, yes. Your game is 49. Your art book is 65 65. Okay, so we're here for the artist. That's what we're here for. Well, here's the thing. You could easily not be here for the artist. You could have gotten more on with off with your with your IP. You could have showcased more to gamers. And it's just wow. Wowzers. Uh I don't know if this is on BoardGameGeek or not. You can check Actually, I can check in the description right now because what I normally put is uh get on BGG if they're not Oh, no, they are on BGG. I would have I would have called Craig look like a ghost town. So, here's a poster.

Uh only 60 bucks. Wow. Very nice. 195 bucks for the shoes is an add-on. But, is it an add-on? It's a pledge. You made it a pledge. This is This is not This is not how it works. Typically, okay, whatever. I guess now you could just got like I could honestly see sneaker like if you just bought like five pairs of these, you sold for 250, like I could see you slinging these pretty easy. Like this feels super deluxeified and collectors. Uh but, you know what? Then spotlight it better. What is this? Tear it open your mask tear away mid bubble gum set. What is this? The shoes have like a gimmick in a So, it's not just that you have glow-in-the-dark shoes, it's that you have tear away bubble gum center glow-in-the-dark shoes. You have a hat on a hat, and you don't even tell me in the main image that you have a one hat.

Hey, speak of the devil. Ooh, that's a cool hat. That is actually a really cool hat. Holy god. I just You got to relaunch this. Like cuz there's the other thing, too. This could have easily should be doing great just marketing to Mars Attacks like die-hard fans, I would imagine, right? Like this could have been such a fun Kickstarter experience. Just looking at all this Mars Attacks swag. Here's a Mars Attacks jacket. What? What? Is this Is this like April Fools? Like what are we doing? Shoes. Jackets. Oh, hey, here's the edition differences cuz we love that graphic we did. We did such a great job on it. We got to show you again. Maybe that's going to impact your jacket making decision.

So, we'll slide it right there. I like to imagine that was a conversation that someone had there and they patted themselves on the back. I bet they sold 16 more jackets because of that. No, but I do want one of those jackets. That is so cool. Thanks for not Okay, so 250. You do have the price. Well, it's just it it's like why don't you just Oh, man. Oh my golly. Oh, I want to see who they got as their Kickstarter consultant person. I wonder if they're they they like in here. Collaborator, uh Gizmodo, what is this? I'm just curious. Co-founder of Gizmodo Press. After years in the radio, record, and film industries, I turned my love of pop culture into a publishing venture. I don't know if they're with the company or if they're with the actual people helping to run this, but um I feel like this was definitely very poorly ran. Like in all seriousness, like just what are we doing here?

Shoes? Like and now now I make fun of this, right? And it sucks when people do this, by the way. Organize this like Reload from Colossal Games. So, my question is question number 14. I have to read it 14 to get to it. But, uh Oh my gosh, I just lost my train of thought. I'm so annoyed with this right now with everything. Oh, when you have stretch goals as unlocks, right? Where you're like, all right, so stretch goals of this is that we're now going to add this to the add-on section, right? There's a reason people do it is so that they don't look foolish. And you look foolish, I think, is the end of the day. Compared to other Kickstarter companies, right? Like it's just if I it's just what are we shoes and jackets and they're great and you could have crushed it and you could have like this could have just been an explosion, but you didn't market to me. You hid everything. When will I get my game? How long does the game take? Like that shouldn't be a frequently asked question. Who's behind the project?

Uh P- Wow, my gosh. Updates, comments, give this one a grade. They kept the thrill, I would imagine, with this. Day two, the invasion escalating now at 130 backers and 72.6% funded. So, this was 4 days ago. So, they did a day one, a day two. Ooh, hopefully they update later this week. No comments, either. We're now at 132 backers. The red's real momentum, and it means we're closing in. You asked, we listened. These can now be outside alongside the sneakerhead edition or as a standalone add-on. Yeah, that's exactly what they're doing. They're literally just trying to get sneakerheads to fund this game. And yeah. Here's the thing. It will get you across the finish line. Cuz like I said, I'm not a sneakerhead. I've had seven pairs of sneakers like the last 20 years, probably. Maybe 10, I don't know. But I just was like, "Oh, yeah, this feels like the kind of thing you could easily buy and resell."

Assuming you think that, you know, they're going to do a good job on this. Which leads me to some concerns, right? Like I'm sure there's someone at the end of this who's putting a lot of money in. Because you need more than $30,000 to make the game and the deluxeified version of the game and shoes and jackets and the other odd add-ons/pledge levels. And Ah, oh boy. Oh boy. I'm sure it says somewhere in the campaign, but I just can't find it. Is there going to be a backer kit after the campaign to manage the add-ons? Uh yeah, there is. What are the women's sizes? I think it's just men's. Uh only thing I wish differently on the board game is different style soldiers, like the Martians have a general or a guy carrying a bazooka, etc. Very interesting. Have you talked about something like this? Thanks for the feedback. Wow, and that's what I'm talking about right here. Like someone here who's like that's alternate sculpts for the for the acrylics. Like that is 100% something that should be on your radar because it doesn't cost you any extra money, right?

Like Like unless you're talking about like Well, actually it might for them because they got super fancy artist here, but wow. Um Yeah, like oh, what? That idea is wild. Is there a way to pledge at the shoe level twice or would my wife need to make her own account to get them? I'm going to need the shoes as an add-on, you see you can do it in one order. Okay, so the shoes So this is going to get funded because of shoes. That's the new headline. Mars Attacks the Board Game. Now you just need to get the jacket enthusiast in on here and if you happen to be a jacket enthusiast, get to send one to me because I will totally rock that thing and if you ever lose yours, I'll give you mine as a replacement. Mars Attack Twisted Tabletop Game by Atomic Toy Box. I'll stop shilling for jackets, but damn, that was a cool jacket. Oh
