hello graduates it's Stella from me University and this is Stella's short and sweet preview for Umami friends did you feel it the ground was shaking and I thought I heard some explosions and some strange noise I was just making tacos and about to have my lunch it's Tuesday so naturally tacos for me but let's investigate it's Tuesday somewhere what on Earth a Talking Taco what's next a talking donut I need to collect the ingredients to complete me the game plays two to four players with mechanics such as contract fulfillment hand management and set collection the game is of light complexity in Umami friends a radioactive Cosmic impact cause food plants and animals to become alive and talking that explains the Talking Taco now each player is a cute animal chef trying to collect ingredients to exchange to the next level of recipes for points the play play who collects 30 points first wins you start with five cards in hand and on your turn you put out all the sweet cards to your play area or your board then you can choose one action either draw three ingredient cards or put out one ingredient card from your hand to your board or make a recipe this card matching icon cards from your board or hand to get one available recipe card to your board these recipes have points that you need to win I can now make taco party Fiesta you draw back to five cards then it goes to the next player you can keep grabbing the common recipe cards discarding your ingredient cards but later you should also exchange the common recipe to rare recipe cards there is only one type of rare recipe each but these common recipe cards are also limited once they gone from the board that's it until someone exchanged them for better recipes then they go back to the display so R to grab the cards and icons unit first so you can exchange later to rare recipes time to make some healthy snack okay got carrot and pepper so I can make one I'm the awardwinning carrot I was outstanding in my field you talk too much are you jealous my made the best fruit win what a carrot stop Fe talking or not they food and I'm hungry and he's the healthy snake one point some cards also give you extra things like this healthy snake gives you another action but opponent gets to draw one ingredient you can then exchange three healthy snaks to a garden salad although it's the same three points towards Victory you get to have the passive power of gaining extra cuts each time you draw back so you'll keep going exchanging ingredients or recipes to better ones until one player has 30 points they have found the ultimate legendary recipe that unlocks the secret to this phenomenon and wins recipe cards have powers that help you in the game if you haven't already noticed and when played at the right time gives you a good amount of benefit like tortilla soup this got one ingredient from hand then soap hands with an appointment H spicy your chefs also have powers Coco de cat makes taco recipes cost one less Sasha the shepherd let you draw two ingredients if you make three recipes in a single turn and more to choose from in a four-player game you play two FES too where your turn alternates between teams you cannot share ingredients between teammates but you can share recipes Umami friends is a light fun family strategy game with cute food cute animals and angry looking tacos now I really want to eat tacos and burritos h f delivery yes yes uh I like to order some tacos and burritos please oh uh you still here I totally cook my own food so thanks for watching folks check out Umami friends project page I'll put the link in the description below the components we featured in this video are prototype so rules and artwor are not final please like subscribe let me know and share this video if you enjoy it I also share my board games Journey on Instagram and our other YouTube channel me University shorts and live hopefully I will see you there too see you next time
