in the world where pandas are ruling the realm drop the right cards to be the most powerful panda in pandemonium and today we'll be teaching you a quick how to play or overview for pandemonium and do check out the link to the project page in the video description and hi everyone it's Ella and tan here from Maple University and hey if you enjoy this video after watching you really help us by like subscribe and let us know what you think in the comments that seriously will help us to bring more videos all right now let's get to the classroom pandemonium is a card drafting game in which players fight for the influence and favor of the panda Lords it was designed by Matthew Phillips rowski and published by xandar games the game plays three to six players and is of light complexity in pandemonium players are aspirants in the realm of Ellis ruled by the great Panda Lords and usurpers to take your position of power in the realm you you need the favor of the Lords and the best way to gain it is to pay tribute over four rounds of play players will draft and offer tribute to the different Lords competing against each other to earn that favor in different ways at the end of the game Whoever has earned favor from the most different Lords will be the winner to set up the seven pandas which include five Lords and two usurpers who aren't yet in play are set up including a stack of one favor token per player and a fixed number of tribute tokens which will depend on your Play account each player will draw seven tribute cards then flip a pandemonium card and play the most basic turn in pandemonium resolves as a conventional closed card draft players will simultaneously choose one tribute from hand reveal it resolve it in turn order and then pass their cards in the direction of play but not all turns are the same in the game of pandemonium sometimes you'll play multiple cards on the same turn sometimes the direction of play will change in the middle of the round and there are some even more wild and wacky options such as cards which let you affect the other players plays some which let to choose cards for your opponents and more this uncertainty at the whims of the panda Lords means the draft is always Dynamic when you play a tribute card you get to take the tribute tokens showing in the top corner of that card this would be one Lotus while this would be three bamboo the main exception is the Terracotta Warriors if multiple players play them they fight and only the player with the most visible Terra Cotta Warriors on that turn claims the tribute tokens players are trying to tactically collect as many of these tribute tokens as they can to win the favor of the matching Panda Lords at the end of each round whoever meets that Lord's condition pays their Tribute back to the supply to claim the matching favor token all of the Lord's work slightly differently the golden Emperor gives favor to the player or players with the most coins the Jade Oracle will favor only a clear winner and will revoke all players Jade dragons if there is a tie bamboo Princess and Flame warlord will reward multiple players as long as they have at least six bamboo or 10 Warriors respectively players pay tributes distribute the favors discard their played cards give the start player to the player with the fewest favors and deal new cards for the next round the game evolves through the rounds in round two the moon Barbarian enters play as a use serer and the Honeypot cards are shuffled into the tribute deck in round three the polar bear zerker enters play and the trade good tributes which until round two count as wild for any other type become the new objective to win the be zerker favor and the decisive final round is played over a hand of 10 cards instead of the usual seven this makes it impossible to build a game-winning lead early on and keeps it live until the very end after four rounds the player with the most unique favor tiles wins if tide Whoever has the single highest ranking Panda breaks the tide with the game having many different tiebreak tiles to choose from with quick straightforward play which remains variable throughout pandemonium makes for a great introduction to drafting or fun filler for the experienced timing becomes a surprisingly important and interactive part of play since if a stack of tribute tokens ever runs empty all players must return all of those tributes losing the progress they've made and so if you can time it right you can just as effectively deprive opponents of the Lord's favor as you can earn your own with its cute panda art pandemonium is a drafting game which plays fast and appeals widely thanks for watching and if you like this video maybe you'd like to watch this next one have a great day bye
