Snap Ship Tactics New Content! - Epic Battleships & Capital Ship Builds

Hey, I'm Alex, back with another board game co. And today I'm going to be covering some SnapShips Tactics. Now, you may have seen SnapShips Tactics a long, long, long, long, long time ago on the channel when they had their first crowdfunding campaign, because I talked a lot about the toy factor that this game has. And to be clear, this game is both a toy factor kind of thing. It's assembling little SnapShips. They all snap together. You can create your own designs. You can go ahead and use the kits they have. You can kind of build your armaments as you go. But, it's also a space skirmish game. If you're looking for a kind of a tabletop skirmish game with build your own battleships, this game has that, too. Today, though, I'm going to be focusing more on building two of the newest ships. Two of their biggest battleships. They have an upcoming crowdfunding campaign. I'll link to it down below. I should note prototype on the new ships I'll be showing you as well. This is a final game, but the the bags over here, these are the the Hammerhead and the Gladius.
Prototype copies of the newest flagship battleships. Flagship battleships. Their largest battleships they have. And I'm going to be building some of these today. I think I'm going to start with the with the Gladius over here. Now, the way these are structured you do have several designs you can go ahead and choose them. So, I'm going to show you over here. We're going to choose them together. Over here we have the Gladius, which I'll be diving into. And we currently have the the the Gladius ship dropship. We have the Rover. And then we have the battlecruiser. Oh, and the shuttle. The the Rover and the shuttle shuttle. And then we have the battlecruiser. I think I am leaning towards doing the dropship. I think I want to go ahead and do the dropship over here. I think it just looks cooler. The battlecruiser does look cool, but I like the idea of the dropship. Plus, I think it looks more interesting. So, we're going to go ahead and build some of that. Now, because building these is not the quickest thing, I'll be going ahead, setting up my tablet, looking at the instructions, cuz instructions are pretty clear if you have ever seen these. And again, you can be creative as you will. But, basically it shows you the basic. It shows you the variant build, the ways you can play it. And then they have the images. And then slowly walks through how to clip it all together. If you are a fan of LEGO, this will all be very familiar. It's that kind of thing. So, what I'm going to do is I'm going to start building. We'll throw this on a bit of a time lapse time kind of situation and I'll just get to it as we build the Gladius, one of their two new battleships.
And we are done. We are almost done. Here we go. This is your Gladius over here. We have our Gladius battlecruiser over here or battleship, can't remember the technical term, all fully assembled in roughly 15 minutes or so following instructions, maybe 20. I'd have to like take a look at the actual time. But all in all, looks pretty cool. You know, comes together pretty easily and then possibly my favorite part is if you look at it from the front over here, you can see if we just push down over here, you get the release of the little uh you know little little rover that's running around. You can build two different options. You have a little spaceship type thing or you have the rover. It kind of clips up into the bottom of the battleship, so you can see it over here.
Uh and then when you just release it again just by pressing that button, you know, you have this over here. It's a little button on top. You just press it and it falls straight down, which is very very cool. Which means that was bag number one, which means guess what time it is? It is time to go ahead and build ourselves bag number two. As soon as I clip this back in cuz I want to clip it back in. We got this. We're going to put it off to the side. Is it in?
It looks in. It feels in. There we go. Now it's definitely in. We're going to put this off to the side over here. We have our ship and it's time to pour the Hammerjaw. I think that's what it's called. The Hammerjaw. The Hammerjaw is going to now get its turn to assemble this bad boy.
And we are done with number two. We are done with the Hammerjaw. I'm going to go ahead and sweep some of this stuff off to the side and show you what we have built over here. So, we have the Hammerjaw which is going to have a lot of fun little features. We got these over here. These come up nicely. So, if you want like a degree of I don't know, kind of scything through space. We have down below. you can kind of angle them however you want. We have down below, we have some undercarriage guns. These guys over here point in whichever direction you want. Shooting whoever you want ideally. And then this is basically the the the arc of the ship. This is like what it is. This is by the way, I didn't mention this when I was building it. This is the third model. They had three possible models to build. This is the one I chose to build number three from theirs. And these are the two ships, the Gladius and the Hammerhead, two slightly larger battleship class models from the Snap Ship Tactics line of of ships.
And that would be it. Except it's not actually going to be it because one of the things that they have in the new Snap Ship line of Snap Ship line of ships is they have new, let me find the correct terminology for it. We have capital ships class or what not. Basically you can build much larger ships than you typically used to. Let me go ahead and grab by the way one of these. While I do this, you can build much larger ships than you typically get through a connecting a whole bunch of ship parts together, building a multiple three or even stand ships if you want. This, let me go on and pull these out. Let me see if I can grab one of these and quickly assemble this. Let me see the fastest I can go over here. So I kind of want to show you how this all comes together. But where is the the stand? The stand's in here. Give me a second to do this because you're going to we're going to be using these as we build our multi-stand ships as well. So if I take this and I put it down over here, that gives us our a little base over here. And then we can take this guy and kind of put him into a little zone over here up top. He'll probably need two. Yeah, he's definitely going to need two over here to put together. Let me grab another one. Let me see if this will come or if he'll have to be a different heights on this. He might have to be a different heights.
I'll have to go ahead and grab some extensions. But this is basically the idea of these guys. So you can go ahead and assemble your larger ships. Will it stand in the middle? I wonder if it will. I don't think this will. I think this probably does need two. No, no, this can stand with one. So we can have over here we can have one. We can connect these so you can slide these around to whatever angles you want. So you have a slightly little arc to it. And this is your your battle class your your your cabin of battleship your battleship over here. And now we're going to go ahead and build a capital ship instead. So, I'm going to take this out because we're going to need these soon enough. We're going to put this off to the side. And then we're going to see how we can go ahead and assemble this. But we're going to be doing so with a special guest because I will not be assembling the special ship over here. My son who is a LEGO master builder LEGO master builder not an official terminology just by his own he likes to build a lot of fun things. He's going to be going ahead and grabbing a whole bunch of assorted snapship parts and putting together a capital ship for you.
So, for right now, this is what we have. I'm going to leave these here so we have something to model these after and we'll be back with a uh capital ship building.
Okay. Today, hello, I'm Yoda Backwoods and today I'm going to show you how to build a snapship. Here here we have the white team and here we have the black team. Okay. I in this video I'm going to do the black team but right now since we have more white, I'm going to do the white team first. So, here we have more pieces and I'm just going to build and show you how to do it cuz like last time when I built a castle slash village thing um I showed you how to build that. But today, I'll show you how to build these.
Okay, yes. So, I went ahead and I finished the start I finished the star destroyer over here. As you see, the the star destroyer is kind of like carrying a creator whatever it is. It's called kyber crystals. And so, we have all the guns cuz I went ahead and added them all. We have this. These things kind of move, I don't know. And in the back we have this sort of jets and such. And we added all the guns. We Yeah, we added all the guns where you can see over here. Okay, never mind. You can't. And we added all the guns, which you can see over here.
All the clo- all the guns around here, here, here, everywhere around. We even added up some some down here, like tip. We want it here, yeah. And So, then we added the chest, which you can see here. Here are the chests. And yeah, that's that. And then we have a one We have a like a little like door thing over here. This just opens. I can't open it right now. It's just slid and something. Yeah. So, that is the storage drawer. Now, we're going to go on to this guy this guy's team. You guys want this? So, this guy's going to go right here.
And he's going to just sit over here on his team. Okay. This guy's right here, this guy. Move this back here. And now we have this team, the white team. Now, let's go for the dark team. One minute. For the dark team, I'm still going I might still go with the Star Wars team to make a little tie fighter and using a few pieces from the light side.
And this is the final product. Okay, we have a sort of kind of X-Wing fighting thing. See? See, it has four wings on all sides. And yeah. Has guns under these to shoot um enemies from the bottom. And enemies on top. So, that is it. Have an amazing day and I'll see you next time.

All right, cool. And technically, this violates the official rules cuz you have exposed ports, uh but this is also so officially you can't have exposed ports on the final thingies.
