it's taryn and stella here from meeple university thanks for joining us today we'll be playing smackdraw at four players and teaching it as we play stay tuned [Music] let's play smackdraw game table and here we are ready to play smackdrole for four players and we have special guests joining us joy and band hello hi thank you so much for joining us thank you for having us thank you for playing now ben i heard is the master draw oh did you know stick figures probably stick figures master draw enjoy as well actually yeah and we are playing uh smoke draw which is actually plays up to well ten players three to ten please three to ten players yes uh we're playing with four here so it's on the lower side um we'll we will show you how all of the mechanisms work but a couple of them really come to life at the higher player accounts yeah so you'll see how they work so taran you're gonna teren's gonna give you the overview of the game and then we're gonna jump into playing the round yes so this is a drawing game um you know it borrows plenty from pictionary and other other drawing games that are out there on the market but it really keeps everyone in the game and make sure everyone has a good time because in addition to trying to guess you also reward the best drawings and if your drawings are a little more on the obscure side you get the chance to defend them as well yeah all of this comes with points yeah and if you are if you don't get involved in those as well there's some other mini games to play on the side while all of the votes are going on so lots of places to get points lots of fun things to do um and ultimately this is by high five team building and there's a lot of team building opportunities through all the different ways this place let work play at the meet up play with friends like this okay so what we're going to do is we're going to play one full round each of us is going to be the guesser once and so this is the core part of the game there will be one word uh the guesser won't see it everyone else will draw it in a minute and then the guesser gets to take a guess at what it is so i'm going to be the guest at first yes you will and we're going to do this very fancy thing let me just you can just say that that's okay you don't have to throw your chair away so you can really uh see what's going on here all right so that's everybody become muffled okay so this is going to be the word okay and then i'm gonna smack it on your back gently the rule says gently press it's called smack draw but gently press it on there gently play straw that was that was not even like half hard and you complained about it okay you can sit back as usual and if you this is the word everyone will uh draw it yes and i will control the timer all right one minute timer it's not that long no and go oh it's got the little uh the indent at the top that comes when the when it's getting into the vortex shall i keep describing the sand timer almost there it's almost out and done stop okay close your eyes and then we will rearrange this in random yep so i can't see it all right parrot i feel like i'm gonna have an easy job ahead right i see well it's a very it's a very party vibe i see a lot of party hats um i see a um a cake that appears to have stink lines but everyone's happy i see a cake that it looks very suspicious and also has stink lines um and people are there's balloons there's balloons in both of those people have no faces here so i don't know if they're happy or not these ones are a bit surprised stink lines is a common theme [Laughter] and cake but there's no cake here this one's coming out of a box all right well in that case i'm going to guess smelly cake with this one being the most helpful so i have to pick the most helpful uh alongside my guess if i'm right i get two points and the most helpful gets a point if i'm wrong which i rather suspect i might be um the most helpful get to give me a one word clue so it is wrong you'll guess yeah a strong i guess it's uh smelly cake no it's not smelly cake so whose is this one mine all right a one word clue one word clue i assume that it's not the word that you can't you're looking for correct yes it's a person so it's definitely not a smelly cake smelly cake it's not a person all right person um well i mean this this is the person that's being pointed at um kind of looks like a sad clown and i i've not got much else so i'm going to go with sad clown [Laughter] it is not not that clown sorry karen all right um all right i'll get it i'll get it off you it's a party pooper mine was oh no it's like like a back end of somebody and then like rather than like it's pop yes thought i thought the uh the cakes were a tad suspicious didn't want to go there okay there's flies here in retrospect the other the the coiling on that one is uh that's quite good but oh yeah it doesn't look like you're staring obviously because you think it's a cake well it's a dog party hats and something with three layers that's a cake in any one okay anyways all right so now now i get to choose the uh the least helpful yeah and in retrospect knowing what it is it might actually be the same [Laughter] so i'm gonna get two points wow no you don't get it you get no points because i didn't get it right so you included your clue didn't help me enough they're all bad they're all bad they're all on the same track yeah um i can't pick one as the least know what's going on so i can pick multiple as the least helpful if they really don't send me anywhere useful um or i can just pick one i'm not going to pick any in this case i'm going to give everyone a give everyone a pass what that means is that the owners of these two drawings stellar enjoy yes get to uh because they were neither most nor least helpful they get to play off in one of the bonus games oh so we shall roll that and we have the no laughing challenge so first person to laugh uh loses the point or doesn't get the only point for the round can we still talk about things can't we we can yeah we can uh you can tell the joke for us i think that was a pretty bad two i mean it looks like a an icing on top like a marine you know it does it's quite delicious isn't it you eat poop why didn't you say it was delicious it's hard to ask that question in a yeah [Music] so the point goes to stella so he gets a point in the bonus game and let's uh that's it one point winning that's a raisin stand who raised the right let's let's erase this and we'll go to the next one and i will be the guesser yes so i usually expect tarrant to draw quite obscure things so this is your time to shine parents yes i can finally uh i can finally i mean i always do fine i have to defend my drawings but now i can get points for doing so all right let's i'll i'll close my eyes uh no we're putting it on your back for now so you've got this hoodie in the ways oh yeah again yeah okay pop that like mine with my hair okay so this is part of your back i'll pop it off as long as you don't smack my head i'm okay gently gently caressing but i'm going to open my whole distance so all right okay yes turn around okay okay it'll be interesting i'll open my eyes now right all right are you ready set go to and go stop there we go that's it close your eyes i wonder what this is ready ready okay okay what so this is a this is a truth this is a tooth pointing at a tooth tooth pain but this is like a tooth run away from a chain like is it is it dried turret isn't it right away it is right away chain two chain good pain okay i am going to guess to spain and i'm gonna guess this this pain as the most helpful okay that is not correct whose is this my one word clue child i think i know i think something to do with losing a tooth uh it's not too fairy because it's so fairy here i think it's is there a word for tooth falling it could be teething as well because it's growing tooth oh no there's so many options but it's just like what is just like chain break free broken tooth that's it incorrect very close though very [Music] that is so good but anyway okay now this is the most helpful then what's this all right [Music] i imagine the tooth as being like a dog and uh getting loose sorry we're not looking good yeah it's not good like a dog loose dog loose tooth yeah yeah it's good all right so i didn't guess it and this one here correct so it's the same they're fairly similar but we you picked this as the most helpful so that means uh ben and i are now playing unless you want one to be the least healthy helpful of course but i feel like you were pretty on board with them all so all right we've got the the question mark here so we can pick whatever game we want oh i've been wanting to see a little thumb wrestle between the two of you long distance oh left hand okay all right one two three how long we went to do this no that's it okay ready go go your phone is long and i've got like lying down so maybe there's no pattern okay i'm gonna move on um this is some some weight lifting string i don't know what's this looks like it's running around there i don't know maybe a marathon or some more strength oh hmm so you've got strength running some strength and some gymnastics it looks like it's all depicting different activities so i mean i mean something like the olympics but something like i know this pattern thing is like a bit interesting um although i guess if it was the olympics one of you guys would have drawn some rings so it's not the olympics um what i can't think i can't think but what is that sport that has like four three or four different activities in it oh this guy's swimming i think he's swimming right someone tell me easily swimming so he must be like jump running and then swimming and then playing racquetball i think um it's not relay what is that word i'm guessing he's not she's running oh um could it be like is it the same dude could it be like iron man or something competition you have to get this look i have to get it i don't know i just like i'm sure you'll get it eventually what's your he's doing what he's doing but he's just lying down all right i'm taking too long i'm gonna guess um [Music] i'm gonna guess iron man competition and which one is the most helpful um i'm gonna say the most helpful is this one okay and i this is my drawing oh great i get to give you one word okay make it good regular regular yeah uh oh uh athlete is that your guess that's my guess it doesn't look like the right answer oh sorry sorry all right should we reveal exercise oh exercise wow i should say like weekly or something like that but i don't do that for exercises like it's running this is like busha this is push up yeah it's me it's you and walk around this me and i'm like oh this is the m this is one of the majors yeah gold thing mine's got the well that way i don't know what this is though so is there a hell is there an unhelpful one here that needs to defend itself now that i know that it's exercise it all makes sense but i would say [Music] probably this one is the most unhelpful okay whose is that that is mine as much as i i would uh enjoy the running swimming racquetball triathlon this is uh star jumps or jumping jacks and then push-ups and um bicep curls i was running out of time so i couldn't draw the dumbbells but he's like oh right it is yeah that's perfectly good it's worthy of the point i think it's like this is like where his arm's gone he's swimming it's like well i thought he wasn't wearing his legs like this where is the water yeah all right so there's some bed and salads are the jury um and you get to vote on whether i'm worthy of a point for my exercise or not uh you both need to say you'll both do it if it's 50 50 i get the point if you both hate it then i get nothing ready on one three two one like it's exercise like a ball exercise well yeah i thought it was wreckable but i did probably wreck it with the bottom i think it was some uh egyptian hieroglyphics yeah yeah and if you like put the ground i don't know and then it's like jumping jacks or a ton all right okay so uh once again no one gets any points this time and because i had a jury to defend we only had one player uh who can't play one of these games on their own so uh let's move on to the next one and hopefully we'll get it absolutely now that i know what it is right this is what we do but i didn't realize that this was me if if if ben had pointed it out maybe it's in a yeah to be so cute all right benson all right here like uh okay so this first one we've got a sun and a moon clearly pointing to him that looks like a chicken but let's look onto that it's like a moon chicken this one here looks like it's looks like a donut or a croissant but that's not good are you hungry man chicken chicken [Laughter] what is that is that an egg a spiked egg an owl but that looks like an owl ow okay anyway oh wow that looks like a bird in pajamas okay okay okay i think i think i think i've i've got it yeah what is it um let's say a night owl and the most helpful would be that looks like a cat i'm really sorry this one here yeah i don't know what this is or something yeah this one here and that is mine i i realized halfway i'm like oh i thought i knew i had to draw it all out but i don't like what does it look like it was like this sort of like thingy i was trying to imagine harry potter movie and it's like what does it look like and i don't and look at this clearly it's like it is a chicken sorry it looks like a chicken looks like a chicken sorry but you got it and you still i think i think it was kind of like they're all all helpful yeah and then but i didn't know what this was what was this one you said the least wait the list oh no i don't think they're any less helpful maybe they have to battle for their life um look look yeah look that that that's definitely looks like chicken no no that that that's the chicken that one looks like okay like a flying little cheek that had really beady eyes with pajamas i always have beady eyes clearly i don't know but no wait what's this part so i i didn't want to just go for the uh you know draw a sun and moon and point an arrow so i had the sun broken on the ground to indicate i thought it was coming out of the egg i thought that's dinosaur i thought it was like a little chick and i also forgot how to draw an owl i i like that nose very much yeah i didn't even have all right so all right so uh no one has to defend an atrocity here no they were all really good like i don't know if i've got at least if i hadn't removed this one or this one it sounds like there's a battle here but that's okay but that's that's that's at all here all right go for it we're not laughing again so between taran and joy yes i know i'm not good at these have you heard of that joke then which one like you should also talk to each other taran is really good at not laughing at anything that's actually three i'm actually not would tell jokes and not laughing i'm not very good at not laughing you're good at so that means you're good at laughing no he's good and he does it i'm gonna say he's he's good at desert joke because his jokes are dry yes all right do it all right so we finally we finally got one so ben as the guester gets two points for guessing it on the first go without the extra hint uh the most helpful which was stella gets one point i get one point as the winner of the no longer wasn't good enough yeah i'm sorry that was cute though it looks like a little puppy pajamas it looks like a little on a tree for it oh that's a three oh no i mean i guess i could have made it on a skating board oh you can just like ranch here would that look like a now now kayak no it looks like the because of the nose i think i think this was the best looking i think yeah very simple but yet i don't know if you would have got a night owl without this guy probably i wouldn't have got night chicken that's the thing yeah but this one is because of this yeah that's like a problem yeah that wasn't wasn't my it wasn't my best option like you can do like closer like this and like you know like it's sun but broccoli with a sword through it but then it's like also confusing fortunately fortunately the the joy of the uh the drawing game is uh i shouldn't tell people how to draw i can't draw that so there we have it we've gone through uh one full round here of smackdraw with each guest once and we'll uh close the game there so how long does it actually go for it's up to up to us really yeah so how long the game will go depends on your player count the game accommodates three to ten players so if there were ten of us and we were all taking a go being the guesser and you know if we were doing that there'd be five or six players playing bonus games each round so it would run for i think 90 minutes is the recommendation on the box yeah if you're playing with three or four often you're not going to have the intermediate games because you'll have enough players who have scored points already but so we'll go a lot shorter and you can play multiple rounds as well but you know ultimately what this game does is it keeps everyone active it means that you've got people trying to draw well trying to have fun with their drawing and defend what they drew and everyone in between is still keeping active between rounds and there's also the after dusk where it cuts edition just the adults one obviously not to be played at work essentially for friends and i won't show the cards here but yes it's for adults a little bit more of a of an adult uh adult themes there and as i mentioned before this is uh this was published by um high five team building yes and so it's really you know it's well designed here to encourage team interaction and encourage team building so yeah draw it's one thing to play a pictionary and just draw the draw your drawings and try to get points and try to do well but here you're all out there trying to defend what you drew have fun with it confuse people just i i would definitely draw as obscurely as i could with the hope of being the one who gets to uh different though strategies that is that is ultimately the game so uh all with this uh with these what is this is still prototype this is for prototype but yeah so with these uh knight oh so mr knight all that's clearly a lie it's almost eight o'clock and i'm sleeping that's it everybody so once again ben and joy thank you so much for joining us again and playing the
