hello everyone it's Stella and Taran here from Maple University today we'll show you a quick how to play or overview or Coloma new prospects the expansion to Google owner let's get to the game new prospects is the first expansion to the 2019 simultaneous action selection Euro Coloma like the base game it was designed by Johnny pack with art by the Miko and published by final frontier games the game plays one to six players in 60 to 90 minutes and is of medium complexity in the bass Coloma players were industrialists building up the infrastructure in the Gold Rush town of Coloma each turn players simultaneously selected a wedge on the action wheel and players would then take the two actions on their chosen wedge except that the most popular wedge would bust leaving only its outer action available with five different wedges and the wheel rotating from turn to turn to change the complexion of the actions Coloma was a game of engine building and careful timing now comes new prospects and so what is new well Buster the automated adversary from the two-player game is back and now involved at all play accounts he'll always be placed on the next wedge clockwise from The Barker making that space likelier to bust but giving you a better chance to predict it meaning it'll be easier to either avoid or seek out the busted space why seek it out well because there are new and Powerful rewards for doing so around this new Outer Edge extension to your player board as well as on some of your new buildings are these tracks each time you bust you get to advance on all of your tracks making them more valuable or scoring some immediate Rewards so what is this new outer track well gone is the base game simple and safe Flat River surveying now you'll be exploring waterfalls in the dangerous Canyons these are still worth the same endgame victory points as the old Rivers and you can still build bridges over the top of them but the combinations of this board and these waterfalls now give you several options for your path when you bust take the ground paths to gain these immediate bonuses that used to come from surveying Rivers but risking deaths for your dudes take the long way across the ground to score some extra points or go via your waterfall tiles to gain their immediate Rewards reach the right hand steps on your board to unlock further points and to really score your waterfalls to the max there are other new features new and variable Boomtown tiles offer powerful actions to the first player who chooses to resolve them which mixes up the movement strategies on the map and incentivizes the race to be first to the towns the first player marker is no longer a reward for the winner of the shootout instead rotating from player to player more equitably every time an action with multiple players present is resolved the players now need only to match the Outlaws not exceed them to win the shootout and an entirely new deck of building cards provides even more buildings and combinations to explore New Prospect is less of a bolt-on expansion and more of an all-new way to play Coloma with new rewards and reasons to seek out the bust action a new dimension is added to the tactics related to action selection with new motivations the classic Coloma takes on a new life with new reasons to bring it to the table and that's how quick how to play of Coloma new prospects hopefully it's been useful we are using a prototype copy of the game so the rules and components may not be final and do check out the project page for the game we'll put a link to that in the description below thank you so much for watching everything you do will help us every single few every time you like our videos our Instagram every single comment and let us know that you're there make sure you're doing something fun for yourself today see you next time
