Hey everybody, it's your old power arm. Now, one of the best things about being retired is that you finally get to, well, basically do the things that you always wanted to do. And one of the games I've really loved, but I had a problem because, well, I I tore my my bicep some years ago, and my it's taken a couple years now to get back to where I can start painting and start doing more miniatures like I wanted to.
Um but I'm finally in getting to something I've really wanted to get to, and that is Dystopian Wars. Okay, this is a great game. Uh I've I've I wanted to do an armor clash, but you know, we kind of got to be smart and take our time and build up as we go. And right here, uh Dominion of the Dragon two-player starter kit, we're going to go take a look at and I'm going to show you some of the differences from Dystopian Wars from now compared to what it was 10 years ago where I think I think the game was like all over the place, and thank God, you know, Warcradle Studios took it over, mastered it, and has now just done unbelievable stuff with this. And this is a game you're really going to want to check out. So, let's go down, take a look at this starter set. You're going to see why you're going to want it, and then we're going to talk more about it on the other side.
Let's go check it out. Uh yes, greatness comes in a box. It's sure does. And this this set gives you everything that you can imagine. So, we're going to take a look at this. I'm going to move this a little bit over here so you guys can see. The thing that's really impressive is two very thick uh rule intensive rule books. Um one for each player, which is impressive in to itself, okay? How many How many companies give you two rule books? But, I mean detailed. This is the fourth version of this, and I mean just really covers everything. Um one of the things I always loved about this is is the cataclysmic damage. But, uh uh you know, really breaking everything down, making sure you have everything.
Uh and just really really done really well. Deep background, so you you feel the theme, how you're going to move, how you're going to you know, go about doing certain things, air units, how they come in cuz there's plenty there you get plenty in this box. And you're not going to be able to see it, but this is what you get in this box, and this is what we're going to be working on. Not only that, but you're going to get some merchant convoys, and you're going to get some scenery, which is platforms and objective markers, as well as like I said, the two rule books, the movement the movement um rulers, and then these two armors uh armies, excuse me. Uh the crown, and then the uh empire on the other side here. So, this is a massive massive set and a great set to just get into this game with.
And you know, just showing you, it's amazing. Um right here, you have uh Dominion of the Dragon, the introductory campaign book. So, once you get this together, there's there's like four or five acts. Let me just double-check here. Five acts. Um that you are going to go through in this campaign, which just really just I mean just you're going to have different encounters, different scenarios and stuff like that, breaking down you know, all the units. Um you know, for profiles. Um I mean, look at this stuff. I mean, just just a perfect starter book. And they sell other campaigns as well, which is fantastic. An amazing amount of dice, which is always fantastic and expensive.
Okay, the territory map. So, you again, it's a map beautiful thematic showing you all the different factions that you can get involved with. All right, let's just keep this to one side there. Uh your cards. All right, couple decks of those. And then just probably some of the best sculpted machinery out there. Uh beautiful beautiful bases. Easy easy to put everything on. And well, you got to do some assembly. So, but I'm okay with that. I'm okay with that. That's for sure. Your rule sticks that you're going to get. And then you know, like I said, and that's why I showed you the back there. I want to show you some of the things. It looks complicated, but everything goes together a lot better than you think. And uh uh just just this is this is just how you're supposed to sculpt stuff.
Here's some of these units already, you know, put together. You're going to have to put together some of the bigger units. And you're going to get a ton of units like I showed you in there. Really, really for a starter set, I I have to say and and this is just I mean, it's filled all the way down to the very bottom. And you're getting a ton of ton of content here, which for you know, for me is a lot of bang for your buck, which is always very, very important, you know, especially nowadays. But just beautifully, beautifully sculpted objective markers. Here's some of the objective markers, 1 2 3 4. I mean, you are going to battle it out here.
And um this just just spells glory. And we're going to be working on this. Um matter of fact, I'm going to start working on it now. But um you're going to see it taped as we put things together, as we start painting things and get this massive, massive set ready for what I want to do is a nice little rules run through and a play through of this fantastic, glorious set. I mean, just top quality. That's all you can ask and War Cradle Studios does it best. Uh one of the things that I'm going to be doing next is one to show you in the same universe, they have the armor clash and I'm really looking forward to uh showing you that. Um it it it's funny how it'll all come together. You're at sea and then on land and battling out in the air as well. Uh just fixing this and making this universe absolutely fantastic.
You're definitely going to want to check it out. Dominion of the dragon, the two-player starter kit. Let's go up top and get my final thoughts. That set screams home run. I mean that is probably one of the best starter sets I've seen pretty much ever. Um gives you everything you can need that you could just play out of that box as long as you want and you can add some things if you like to. But I'll be honest with you, for a starter set that can that that include as much as that does, that's a monster. The two rule books alone uh should be pricey and this thing is reasonably priced. Go check it out uh online. Go over to War Creator Studios. Uh I believe they're in partnership with another place that will send it to you and you can actually go online and and and pick this stuff up almost anywhere.
Uh tremendous. Anywhere except for Miniature Market, believe it or not. But um just tremendous tremendous sets. Um really have come a long way. I love the art on the cards. I love what they're doing and uh I'm all in on this. I I I I you know, finally my arm's good enough. I can start putting things together. I can start painting. I can start doing all the things I wanted to do with this tremendous tremendous tremendous set and and and fantastic game Dystopian Wars.
