Robo Rally Transformers - It's about time!

hello graduates it's Stella from M University and this is Stella short and Suite for robo rally Transformers from Renegade game [Music] studios happy nice to meet you have you seen my right yep that's it been racing around saving the world in this uh very special truck have you met him the Optimus Prime no I don't just name my truck it really is an alien from the planet called Cybertron anyway this time you're Racing for the glory what can have fun too the game plays two to six players with mechanics such as programming grip movement and simultaneous action selection the game is of light to medium complexity Robo rally is a well laugh game that's originally published in 1994 designed by Richard Garfield after that there are many Fashions and expansions including the 2016 and 2023 versions with other designers involved it's about time and it seems natural that the theme merged together with Transformers so in this video I'll give you the basic of Robo rally Transformers similarity to other Robo rally and what's new in Transformers version roborally Transformers is an action programming game where players pick a few cards in advance each round and play sequentially to move their robot or vehicle according to the cards they already programmed oh so they thought this could in reality be chaotic each round players first have the chance to spend Energon or the currency on upgrades then draw to nine cards then choose five cards one in each of five registers to plan your moves for the round then each register is resolved one at a time all players reveal their cards then move one at a time in turn order resolving some immediate board effects and pushing other robots disrupting their plans then delayed board effects resolve things like moving walkways pushes and Laser turrets then all players shoot anyone else in their P then go to the next register and repeat until all five are complete then go to the next round damage is bad when you get damage in a fire pit being shot by opponents or falling off the board you draw damage cards this will either be scrapped which junk up your hand or special damage which is resolved then discarded don't worry you a tough bot you'll be right H just manage some type of the damage by playing them or go to pit stop to get rid of them your aim is to reach all checkpoints in sequence first player to do this is the best racing Transformer and wins come on Optimus Prime we can do it one shall stand one shall fall I'm okay with that as long as I'm the one that stands sir what's new in Transformers there are new upgrades new maps and new map features but it is the Transformer ability which makes the new game unique each round you choose whether you'll be in bot form or the vehicle out form and each has its own advantages some board features like buildings and moving walkways can only be used by Bots others like jump ramps and Roads only buy outs some upgrade cards only work in one of the two modes and the most fun is well in out mode you can only shoot straight ahead but in board mode you can shoot ahead left or right more flexibility to disrupt your enemies o there are lots of shoo shooting in this one H friendly shooting that is there are a few maps to explore including the pre-built race courses as well as putting together your own race courses there is team versus Team mode where you play Autobots versus Decepticons or mix your own team and of course there are familiar faces h i mean faces in the game beside Optimus Prime iy blur flame War drag strip and Megatron the Transformer version is stand alone but comes with rules to integrate with earlier Robo rally games and incorporate the new Transformer mechanisms into them so thanks for watching Pops you would help us by like the video subscribe and hit the bell and comments below if you have any questions I also share my board games Journey on Instagram and our other YouTube channel me University shorts and live hopefully I will see you there too see you next time you may lose your faith in us but never in yourselves
