viewer discretion is advised hey everyone welcome to the discussion for sell swords and sell swords Olympus so what was the inspiration what do you think what this inspired hi this is glamorous storytelling just epoch it's a funny you look guards you compare numbers they have abilities you know it's level 99 games through and through everything is unique can't [ __ ] dick [ __ ] that's why BTW hermes new blends well though so here's the thing so yes absolutely like there's no theme to this game whatsoever and so here going into thinking that you're gonna have a bad time but it is a pretty cool just good card laying games titling game time killer and it really is it's a really good filler game and there is an element of strategy a lot of filler games seem to kind of be like oh we'll just kind of do this to pass the time this one there's some strategy to it and like with sell swords like I felt like I could have played a little bit different and actually for the first half of the game I was like I'm doing pretty good and then like once it came to find Laura I'm scoring I was like I have like five blue cards on me okay like what happened it just kind of like I don't know it almost seems to go away from you in a way and so with this game everyone has abilities you you want to play them in
certain areas so I held on to her B's for that specific reason like basically I played that's why I play the Pelias later because I was like [ __ ] it he's gonna be using I had a feeling I was like no he's got some nonsense I don't know what it is but I didn't think it would be that open right I mean cuz earlier you had three blue here and how it was like is that going to help me right now and it's luckily enough that was enough to like put it in there then you played there and I was like oh that helps me even more even though I was like it's a corner it's protected it's neat stuff we're thinking so yeah I mean I was like
Zeus so annoying it did save you for me getting three extra points over that seven that one but no this game does a really cool job of being smart about where you're gonna play the card and its ability because once again once the board starts tightening up you start realizing that the cards do you have are actually not useless and sometimes now ones like that one for example because one but it was like okay how was like the architect for example that does nothing for me at this point but moving and then comparing it's just really cool it's a fun filler game yeah you kept saying that throughout the run-through do you think that there are cards in here that obviously better than others
just like boom boom and but that's the thing is like I get the free flip initially but then you just it's so easy it's like stuff you guys like that it's wonderful exactly and so it sucks but you I did it I guess I didn't of having you but then there's people like the griffon or the rock and sell swords where you could just easily came by and I'm like now that's mine now yeah the people themselves don't and don't have any fanatic representation of why their abilities are that way I feel like they may have tried a little bit to do that and in it does match the theme like your people are just constantly going back and forth as a cell sword would it's just kind of like us you know out of paying them more money just I mean it's just an incest gangbang [ __ ] the horse or one side of October somebody [ __ ] the horse I know that Zeus turned into like a and raped a woman yeah I remember that I spanked my [ __ ] horses I don't know what kind of stuff you look up I read The Odyssey so here's the here's the thing there's gonna be two questions one did you like the hand make the hand having a hand of cards over drawn to and taking one do you like that better because I didn't really for me I didn't really care for drawing two and then picking one I liked having a hand in all
I want to play this here and here right here the more pre-thought and write a game right I just thought it was like oh that might be cool because a neat thing about this game is we went through what is the five by five so 2524 cards not coming back 24 parts that we stole the stack of people so you're gonna get a lot of replayability out of the game whenever you because you even get this whole thing again but where you place them will change the game and then obviously you have this many people to go in the other places that we could have fought for was Tartarus during each phase of drafting very few kids yeah parthenon if there's an empty space next to part on you must place next to it and the river Styx at the end of each turn the turn player may move a tile so yeah they they they change kind of how when you play the game which is really nice so did you prefer the hand or did you like draw into and take one mm you granny one the one will return to and picked ones Brian but I got it I mean it the hand is you know you do pre-plan right Billy and so here's here's the the question of the day did you like Olympus better or the regular cell sores better I mean the Olympus is me but you know I like the bubble you do I like I like the Olympus
better in my personal taste because I really do like Greek mythology and I like looking through here whenever you think of love 99 like or levin dines world you would you would want every card to be one of those characters right and they were just beggar or fool there's just generic people there and i was like okay i mean they're there and the abilities are still really cool but I really want the the fighters and not just regular people here even though it's regular people you're not expecting much because that's Greek mythology I felt like this was a little bit more thematic not by much then sell swords now what do you think we didn't play this by the big need what do you think the game would be like if you combined them if you combine the olympus not a game with the regular regular game [ __ ] i think it would be - I think it'd be really cool kids busy but yeah I mean we just mix it up that much more so yeah after this trial about it okay that's why even play Ares later on you lose a point but yeah I think I was disappointed in was the fact that when we played - we saw ones that were clearly from the base game like the Griffin was the rock right in the base game and it's like they kind of disappointed me a little bit I mean I don't know how much else we do with a game like this that's true knows a good point um I mean honestly yeah it's a fun filler game so I really have nothing else to say I scale one to ten right
