from Maple University meet the chefatron 4000k this is your opponent when you play Solo's sweet mess pastry competition the chefatron is a heartless and efficient pastry making machine and in the solo mode you are playing a two-player game against the chefatron trying to score more points as the human player taking turns there is nothing new that you need to know all of your rules are exactly as they are in the multiplayer game what you must learn is how to resolve the chevrotron's turn to set up layout chefertron's player board and awards board this one is on the back of one of the multiplayer award shelves from the recipe decks set aside one event card from each of the level one and two decks without looking at them Shuffle up the shepherdron's deck of 14 cards this determines chefatron's actions and times the length of the game chefotron is always the first player and also takes this force field token then set up sheffertron's two mechanical arms The Claw on the left and the scoop on the right both of these should be aligned and pointing at the row containing the super ingredients you're now ready to play chefatron's turn is resolved in seven steps step one is to draw the next card from the deck the card will tell you which of the two arms is active for this round and also which is the primary direction for example when the scoop arm is used actions are primarily taken from right to left the second step is to move the Arm based on this number here it's one and I would move that arm that many steps in the direction of the arrow on the arm so up for the scoop and down for the claw consider the path continuous so from here it will wrap around to the bottom row if the card shows a zero the arm doesn't move next the active arm picks ingredients from that row it selects the single bowl with the most ingredients and if tied it chooses from its primary Direction so here it would choose these at this point the chefotron has no storage restrictions simply place all of the gained ingredients onto the appropriate storage space then make a mess as usual next perform the primary effect on the card this is the icon showing in the large Circle when it takes the storage jar from its primary Direction take the next ingredient which it hasn't already stored discarded and replace it with the jar with this effect it gains two super ingredients here it picks from the most profitable leftover tiles on the board in terms of most ingredients and then most golden tokens if tired go clockwise from the active arm with this icon the chefatron will place the force field out onto one of the bowls move the relevant arm again so here I would already have moved two spaces I move it another two and then I choose the bowl in the new row that has the most ingredients again breaking ties by the position of the arm when there's a force field on the bowl neither player May pick ingredients from that bowl it also repels new ingredients if I were making a mess here for example I would place as normal on these three spaces but then from the fourth one the ingredient bounces back and lands on the initiating Bowl with this one the sneaky robot steals one of your ingredients choose any ingredient from your board and give it to the bot finally with this action chefotron specifically steals one of your super ingredients if for whatever reason it's impossible to resolve the primary effect on the card then chefatron gains one golden token which rather than spending will simply be converted to points at the end of the game step five is to check the chefertron's storage any of the basic ingredients where sheffertron has more than three copies discard the excess and replace them with super ingredients the bot May hold any number of these step six is to resolve the secondary effect on the card and that will be shown in the smaller circle to the bottom right in most cases this will be to prepare and complete either a level one recipe or a level two recipe check sheffertron's combination of ingredients including any storage jar ingredients and choose the highest scoring card in the matching row which it is possible to complete with golden token the other chefertron's secondary action is to resolve one of the set-asite event cards first the level one event card and then the level 2.
simply resolve the card and discard it either way and as for the primary effects if the effect cannot be resolved sheffertron gains a golden token the seventh and final step of chefatron's turn is to claim exactly one award if possible it will first try to claim an award using three matching icons if not it will try two matching icons then three icons using the two to one conversion and then two if there are multiple options within one of those four categories it chooses the ribbon worth most points and if tired it once again goes in arm Direction chefatron gets no toke effects simply getting three points for a bottom shelf award as usual the game end will be triggered by one player gaining three Awards and you would finish the current round and play one more round alternatively if it's chefotron's turn and it has no cards to draw the game ends immediately sheffertron scores points in all the normal ways plus gaining one point per golden token and three points per bottom shelf award to play out with a higher score wins the chefatron offers several ways to increase or decrease the difficulty of the game what we've shown you is the harder mode of the game where you resolve every icon on the chefatron's cards in the easier mode you ignore any icon on a pink background as if it weren't there for greater challenges again you can change the rules so that it's every ingredient above two rather than three which is converted to a super ingredient you could give chefatron two points per golden token instead of one or even three points per golden token one variant sees chefatron treat all recipe type icons as wild you can also use the two multiplayer modular variants when using the bench benefits the sheffertron only looks for the two ingredients on the middle card not all four before gaining the benefit and again this will be a golden token if it's a benefit that chefertron can't use and you can play with the hands module but it has no impact on the chefatron it's simply an additional handicap for you and that is how to play the solo mode for sweetness pastry competition thank you so much for first of all your liking comments are much appreciated subscribe to see what's coming and let us know what games you've been playing see you next time
