Transcript 1:33:39

Man, this will be a long video. Oh, this will take so long to edit. Oh, man, I'm not looking forward to that.

Hey everyone, this is the guy guys and I'm beyond excited to play through Aeon's End Beyond the Breach today. Um, I've been looking forward to that for like a week or two. Um, that all that time this game has been lying here without me really taking a look at it or playing it. Well, what I have done is I've sleeved like the cards now for the first for the first battle, but that's pretty much it. I don't know anything else. I haven't read anything about the mages or the nemesis yet or the story. So, for those of you uninitiated, this is my most favorite solo game as of now and has been for a few years. I absolutely love this. I own everything Aeon's End and this is like the latest wave. These are stand-alone expansions. Except for one expansion, I think that was wave seven or something, uh, Past and Future. Except for that one, all of the expansions are stand-alone expansions, so you can just get one of these games and just play it.

If you want to have more mages, more nemesis, uh, just a bit more variation on the market card and everything, then it makes sense to have like more than one wave. You don't have to own everything like I do, but I just love the game. So, um, these games come with an expedition that is like, um, uh, a series of four battles one after another that get increasingly harder. Now they've introduced introduced a fifth battle, so now with this, uh, with this expansion you can also play five battles in one in one expedition. What I will do, I will play through the entire expedition on this channel. I will separate this into like five different videos. Today is video number one for the first battle and then I will do battles two to five in different videos. What I will be doing is I will be recording this all on one weekend now. We have Friday afternoon today and I will do this until Sunday afternoon. Record all the videos in one go because it's like easier regarding setup and teardown. It just saves me a bit of time to do it that way and also like the videos are a bit more consistent. Another small disclaimer and then we can finally get started with everything. This is the first Aeons End series that I have recorded with my new 4K camera. Finally, so I hope now the quality will be even better.

Before that I used to use my old webcam. These videos you can still watch. I would also highly suggest you watch my other series on this game because it's just an amazing game. It's always fun to see I try to crack the Nemesis. And yeah, also this will be really exciting. All right, so before we get started, as usual, grab yourself a cup of tea and let's do this. All right. There we go. So, let me just first set up the game, the first battle, and then we can get started.

All right, with that I finished setting up the game. So, I will have to guide you like through what you see here. First of all, so you just know what we are dealing with here, but also because I had to do do the setup very very compact because we're playing with the Friends and the Foes for the first battle. From the second battle onwards, I will not play with them [clears throat] anymore, right? I will just show them to you now so you know how these work. And then the subsequent battles I will do just one mage versus the Nemesis. All right, let me let me show you what you see here. First of all, we have our nine market cards here. These are usually put in a 3 by 3 grid on the table, but I have just put them in a line up here because that's the best way to record it. Also, I have a much better overview of what I want to buy. We have three gems here. We have two relics and four spells. That's always like the distribution of cards. Uh gems are used for uh usually gaining currency, which is like ether.

Um also we have relics here. These are like just cards you just play and you do whatever it says on there. And then we have spells. These are attached to our breaches here and we can like cast them uh in like subsequent turns in order to do damage or whatever like these cards do. Also, this is new for this expansion. We have now a deck of trinkets here. Um we cannot get these regularly, but these um there are like specific effects that let us gain For example, I do have like one of these cards in my hand at the moment. In my In my deck. Then here we have the turn order deck. One of the most interesting aspects of Aeon's End is the turn order. It's not like a player nemesis player nemesis. It is always like determined by this deck here. The nemesis has two cards in here and we as the player have four cards in here. These are the new rules since uh season 3, I think wave 3, new age.

Before that, as a solo player, you only had three cards in here. You can still play it that way if you want to like have the harder mode. I'm playing on the new um new regular mode streamline mode, so to speak. Um it's not as tense then, but still I can like show you the game like how it works and it's still very very interesting, right? But if you know the game already and you want to have a challenge, you can also have only three player cards in there. Also, there will be one card for the friend and one for the foe in there. Then here we have everything for the nemesis. Um there's the deck uh for the nemesis. This is like the starting card for that specific nemesis here. Here we have the uh the health dial for the nemesis, which is uh set to 99 at the moment. We will fight the Terror in Brass. Usually you have this example here, but I will just put it like on top of the um uh on top of the match because we just don't have enough time. We will get to how that boss works a little bit later.

The boss also has like a specific, uh a specific board here. This is just specific for this one boss. Every boss like works differently in Aeon's End. This one has like this board here and we have like nemesis tokens here that we can put on here and this is like a marker. The the nemesis will like move up and then do specific things to us. Then down here we have the friend and the foe. Usually you would have like a draw deck like this. You also would have an active card and then the mat. I would just put them on top of each other we don't see the artwork then as much unfortunately but this way I have it more compact. And then here we have the foe which is the creeping dark looking like this. Has already a power column plate and the nemesis token and of course the friend I forgot to introduce them is the Is Dry the youth.

What we also have is we have like this a health dial here which is Gravehold that is like our base so to speak our home that we want to protect. If that ever reaches zero we lose and we win of course if we reduce the bosses health to zero. And then here we have our our mage we'll talk we'll look at her in just a moment. I chose to take Indira. There are four mages you can choose from like when opening the box. We will unlock more mages as we go through this expedition also more more foes friends and nemesis but I have chosen Indira. I know her already because like a lot of the mages that appear in Aeon's Aeon's End appear in other waves as well and they're like older or younger there and then they do different things right?

And I liked Indira already so it's one of my most favorite mages and I thought you know what I would like to take her new new iteration here which also looks really interesting. This is our starting hand of cards and we have these five cards we start with and this is our deck. The has a specific order and but we will take a look at that when it's time. Then also here we have our two breaches. These we can like focus, like rotate, and then open at the end. They will look like this. Or like the regular ones are like yellow like this. Um so, we can actually play spells there to damage whatever need to be damaged. And also we have like a health counter. We have 10 health. Um so, if we if we are exhausted, we reach to zero health, it's not good, but we don't lose. In uh in a multiplayer game you would lose, and in a solo game you don't. But it's like very bad to be down. So, you don't want to do that. And then you usually also have like these player tokens here, so you know which player you are. Um there are no four cards for player number one. There are only two cards for each number. So, we will always act on player number one and two. I just put like a player number here, so you just know. A few more things before I get we get like started with everything. Um this die here, and also like all of these tokens that you see lying around here. The these are like from an upgrade pack for Aeon's End. Just to make it a little bit nicer. Usually you would have cardboard tokens for those, and also cardboard health tokens here. So, uh keep that in mind if you ever get like the retail version, or you don't get

this upgrade pack, you would have cardboard tokens lying around here. Um I love the game that much that I want to have everything for it, except for all the play mats, but apart from that I have everything, and I also wanted to have the upgrade. Uh the upgrade pack, although I could use more of these tokens here. So, I'd have to ask Indie Boards and Cards if it's possible to order those somewhere. And yeah. Um with that out of the way, we are pretty much like ready to start. How we'll do it now, we will now take a look at the story. Then I will uh take the first turn of the game to explain how the game works, and then we can get started with like all the other rounds in the rest of the game. And also I have decided not to go over all of these cards now in detail. Um I will just uh like uh read through them myself and then whenever I want to buy one, I will explain it to you over these four five sessions that we will have in this in this series here. Uh you will get to know all of these cards for sure. I'm pretty sure.

All right, and with that, let's get started with the story because we do have this narrative booklet here. And if we open that up, we can read the intro to Battle 1, which we will do right now. I am needed here. Whatever I may be, wherever this may be, my task remains unfulfilled. I must persist. Nook wakes up as he always does on this small cot in the back of his laboratory. Indira has been begging him to settle in properly now that they're in North Post to make himself a real home. Even [clears throat] Martha doesn't live in the library anymore, Nook. There's a balance to having a life. But truthfully, Nook has never felt more balanced. Perhaps even more so than when he was younger, before the accident, the shattering of time that left his mind like sharp-edged shards of glass, reflecting a dozen different angles of light and poised to cut his careless fingers.

Nook doesn't remember what it was to be unfractured. Yet, when he closes his eyes, he lives his childhood in perfect reality. Then is now, and now is then. Every second of every day Gravehold is crumbling. Nook is choking on the dust in his throat, eyes watering as he claws fruitlessly through the piled rubble. His palms are shredded and bloody, his throat too dry to scream for his mother any longer. Every second of every day, his mother does not hear him crying. "She's gone. She's gone. Come on, you have to move." Indira begs as she pulls Nook into her arms, barely more than a child herself. "I've got you. I've got you. We have to get out of here. I'm so sorry. We We to get out of here." "It's okay, Indira. You did everything you could.

Huh? Indira is looking at him oddly from where she sits cross-legged on the surface of his workbench. He's told her a thousand times not to sit there. It could contaminate his experiments. Or has he told her at all? "Where are you right now?" Indira asks, rolling her eyes as Nooks buries his face in the side of her neck. He's kissing the tips of her fingers. He's bleeding from a gash above his eye, and the blood is soaking into her torn shirt where he's held against her chest. The end. Nooks lifts his orb, glowing brilliant and blue to his eye, and twists it experimentally. And the beginning. "That's a lot of places for one man to be." Indira replies as she hops down from the table. She rests a hand on top of the orb, and it pulses beneath her touch. The void storm trapped within it struggling to rip free.

"Do you feel ready? You don't have to do this today, you know." Nooks shakes his head. "Today, yesterday, it's all the same. I think I've been ready since the day I died." Indira snorts, her lips twitching into a smile that fades as soon as it appears.

"Well, I can confirm you didn't die yesterday, you weirdo. And it won't be today, either." "Hush now, hush." Indira whispers into his hair as she rocks him gently. "It's all going to be okay." The experiment, at its core, is simple. When Nooks first created his orb, he had been trying to seal a portion of the void inside a container. A microcosm upon which further tests could be run to learn about how the void itself would respond to different stimuli. What he hadn't anticipated was that trying to absorb so much void essence at once would be impossible to control and take almost all of himself with it. It was almost as though his own magic was attracted to the same forces that pull in void essence. The orb is how he held himself together.

First, his magic, then his mind, but his essence was still scattered, stuck inside the timeless void essence filling his orb. Its proximity was the only thing keeping him even somewhat stable. Nuke's hypothesis was this, if his either alone could be extracted from the orb and returned to him, it may return his sense of relativity with it. And then perhaps he could live in the present again. This present. With Indera. "Brace yourselves." Indera warns as her hands begin to glow golden hot. Nearby scalding his fingertips where they meet along the edges of the mystic orb. Nuke can watch the magic beginning to flow inside her eyes, as brilliant blue as the fire within his orb. They both step forward, pinning the burning orb between their chests.

Nuke bites his tongue against the pain and tries to be empty, a black hole waiting to be filled. The orb gets hotter, brighter. Indera tries to say something, but Nuke can't hear it over the tearing wind knocking her glowing eyes shut before he shuts his own. Desmodia turns a dark-eyed gaze back to Nuke. "You aren't where you meant to be." "I think that's what [clears throat] I'm trying to create." Nuke answers, securing the broken stone face onto his belt. It's heavy, but oddly warm where it rests against his thigh. A familiar weight, as if had always been there. "A place where I'm meant to be." "Who the hell are you? What are you doing here?" When Nuke opens his eyes, he sees Indera staring at him in shock across the orb still pinned between them, and then he's pulled from his stupor by a muscular, callous hand grabbing his arm and tugging him sharply to the side. He barely manages to hold onto the orb as he stumbles out of the way of a set of clashing jaws.

He's not in his laboratory anymore or anywhere he recognizes from his past. He's in a room with walls and floor of solid metal reflecting [clears throat] odd, bright light too sharp to be fire and too artificial to be either orbs. The glowing glass lights struggle to hold back the strangely thick darkness seeping through his seam lines in the metal walls like an icor. The air is heavy and humid with steam and the face of the stranger yelling at him is streaked with sweat. "There's no place for civilians." The woman growls, her voice as thick as the scars along her arms. "Tell me you can't fight." "We can fight."

[snorts]

Nook battle doubt, but we don't know. "Chit-chat later." Nook looks over his shoulder to see two more strangers, a man in flowing beautiful robes and a teenage boy with his back pressed to the wall behind him. In front of them, a nameless swims through the metal walls as if they were nothing but water. "Survive now." "All right." That is the intro to battle one. To be honest, I know the entire Aeon's End lore and I'm not quite sure I'm not quite sure when this takes place. Because it almost looks like Indria and Nook are younger than in the other Aeon's End iterations. Because like the last wave, what was it? Eight? I think so, the descent. And that was like uh like a prequel to Aeon's End. Like the the story before the first Aeon's End.

And I almost feel like this is after that, but I'm not sure. It seems like they are younger than in the than in the other iterations, but I'm not quite sure to be honest. All right, and the last thing we will do before we will start, we will take a look at um the Nemesis. We will take a look at the mage and the friend and the foe. Um so, our mage is Indria. We have a little bit of story here. Um it is an oddly foreign feeling being happy with the life I have built for myself. I spent my childhood chasing an ever-moving goal. To be a real Breach Mage assistant, to be respected, to belong. I worked twice as hard and felt half as good. One Breach, two Breaches. The runt of the breach mage litter who never lived up to Brahma's expectations. Brahma is like one of the leaders here um of of the of Gravehold.

But the worst part is I believed it even when I was an adult and a competent mage who could hold my own, I could never see myself as anything other than a waste of space. An impostor playing at magic like a child who refuses to grow up and be realistic. I made myself small and quiet. I didn't stand up for young Magda when Brahma exiled her because what would it matter? What do I matter? Actually, now that I think of it, this could also be like the latest uh part in the timeline. I'm not sure. Nuke was the one who changed all that. He'd laugh if I told him, but it's true. That grimy kid I pulled from the ruins of Gravehold always clinging to my leg, he needed me. Me and my pointless single breach and my messed up magic, that was what he needed. When he looks at me, I'm the hero I stopped believing I could be.

He'd tell you that I saved him, but truthfully, I don't know what I would do without him. All right, very interesting. And this like the first like kind of relationship in the Ynnis and I think, right? I'm not aware of any any others. So, okay, um she has like um the special ability that she has like uh a special breach, she the trans breach. With that, um you can cast a spell and get it back to your hand. The breach is like very This can be very very helpful if you put a strong spell there. Um and also she only has two breaches. Usually you have four, but she doesn't have breach one or four and none of them are open, right? So, I need to like open them first before I can like effectively play spells. Um also, I have taken um this the ban of vigilance into my hand. With this, I can like gain trinkets um and also give different charges. Speaking of, our friend is Dai, the youth. Most kids my age are busy playing with friends, going to school, getting in fights. Meanwhile, I'm spending my golden years exploring this system. But you've got to be small and agile for proper scouting, and nothing else pays nearly as well.

Okay, so that is like our friend who is like helping us. Um and then we have the creeping dark, which is the foe which will not be helping us. There's a reason either glows and fire magic is the first thing we teach an initiate. Darkness is the first foe that everyone must face. And the creatures that bring it are almost certainly trying to obscure something that must be seen. Stake, the professor. Stake is by the way another character we could play um right now, but I just didn't want to. I just chose Indira. And then we have the terror in brass. This really cool lion creature here with the wings. Most citizens of Sindercrown would assume that it is our advancements in technology which have paved the way to what is a safe and stable civilization.

Stronger magic, better weapons, indestructible iron walls to cower behind. Certainly a step above the old iron and stone of Greyhold era structures, right? What they fail to consider is that for every year of preparation we take, our opponents have been given the same. Some nameless wield swords, some cast magic, and some even use those so-called indestructible walls against us. The terror in brass is a poetic name, probably given to it this monstrosity by some bureaucrat in a pretty office who's never seen an ounce of void life face-to-face. The terror swims through metal like water, using our own clever defenses against us. We built this system to be impenetrable, and now it'll take our toughest spells to even scratch this creature's hide.

Aren't we so advanced? Aren't we so damn clever? Wolf Strikeleader. Wolf is also a character that we could play. Okay, as I said, I'm not going to go through all of these cards here. I think that would just uh take too long. I will actually uh like talk about them like whenever I want to take them, whenever I would want to play with them. Okay, and with that, we are ready. We can now start playing the game. The first turn, I will do like quite a few explanations so you know how this game works. And then starting with the second turn, um I will just play the game pretty much regularly, just saying a few things. Um just explain a few more things. So, you would see the timestamps at the bottom. You probably have already seen those uh to jump to the part you want to see the most. Bonus points as usual if you watch the entire video. And with that, I have another sip of my tea before we can finally get started with the main meat of the game.

Wow, that took a long time to explain. Um I will not do this in the second video anymore. Then I will just start playing. Okay. So, we always start by turning over the turn over deck, and it's the friend's turn. When it's the friend's turn, we resolve um the open card that is currently like face up here in uh in the play area. And this one says, "Die gains one charge, and any player focuses their closed breach with the lowest focus cost, or any player with no closed breaches gains two charges." Um we have only closed breaches at the moment. These are closed. This way they are open, so we can't do the second one. So, we do the first one. Die gains one charge. We put the charges down here. As soon as all four are charged, we trigger this ability. Same thing for us. We also have an ability here that lets us like spell uh cast a spell that we have in our hand and cast it again without discarding it, which is like really strong. We can do that with an ally, but since we are played by ourselves, we are our own ally. And we can also charge this ability here. So, Die charges his ability here as well.

Um and then, the player focus their closed breach with the lowest focus cost. Um so, when you look at Take a look at the breaches, you see like we have focus costs here at the moment. It costs two to focus and here it costs three to focus. Um we can also directly open it and this is like the currency we have. This is like the what the crystals give, the either, right? So, we are able to focus this one once. So, now it only costs three to open or like two to focus and then two to focus again or to open. Okay? That already was like his this turn. Then we discard this card. I will just put it at the bottom for now and then we turn over the next card. So, we already see like the after all these cards are through and the friend is it's the friend's next turn. We know what happens. We can either draw a card or we can place a relic from a discard pile part discard pile into my hand. I don't have any relics yet. We only start with like with like weak gems and weak spells and like as character specific cards.

Um we have like two relics here that we could take. So, this might be an idea if we can get a relic until then, we could like play it and then put it back into our hand, but I don't know if that's like very helpful at the beginning, maybe a little bit later. All right. That was the turn of the friend. Now we continue and that is one of the player cards. This is with the player two, but since we are by ourselves, we like always act when there's player one or two. All right. Now there are several things that we do. The first thing we always do is we have the casting phase. We take a look at all the spells that we have attached to our breaches and we cast them. We don't have any. So, we go over to the main phase. In the main phase we can do like everything like with our with our cards here and stuff. So, you see like we have like these crystals here. These like say say gain one either. That means like there's like currency we can do to like continue focusing or opening our breaches here.

We can also like a charge here. That's like two two either per charge we put on here. When you have all five charges, we can activate this ability. We can also spend either to buy cards. You see the cost here in the top right what they cost. We have gems that give us like more currency usually and a few other things, like trinkets for example. Then we have relics. Um these are like cards we can just play and do whatever it says on there and then discard. And spells are like the main damage dealers that we put in our breaches. And we see like there's like a very expensive one here that uh can be quite good actually. Um I actually like this here quite a bit. Um this spell here because that one deals four damage, which is a lot, and also lets us like gain charges if you have more of those. So that might be might be a build we could work towards.

Okay. And then also we have like a spell here. So what I will first do, I will first attach a spell here. Um but you can only attach a spell either if the um breach is open or if you have like focused it during your turn. And that's what I will do. So I will now um I will now spend Will I open it or not? I think I will open it. Um so I will play I will play three crystals here uh for three either in order to open this breach. So this one is already like opened. That's great. Then I will play the spark here, right? Uh on top of the breach. And then we have this banner here that's also gains gains us one either, which we can't do anything with. But we can now gain a trinket and place it on top of our deck. Usually you place trinkets um in your discard pile, but um we will just Here it says place on top of your deck, so we can take a look at this.

This one gains us one either, and then any ally gains um a gains an either token that we can also use to buy stuff, and then return this to the bottom of the trinket deck. So next turn we will gain two either with that. That's not too bad. And it doesn't clog up our deck because we will just put it to the bottom of the trinket deck again. Okay. So um we have also played that card. With that, we are out of cards, so we are pretty much done. When we are done with our turn, we do like the uh the draw phase, so we place all like uh gems and relics that we have played this turn on top of our discard pile. We can choose the order we place them in because we This is like a deck builder, but we don't shuffle our deck. Um so, I will put this at the top, I think. And so, it will be like at the top when we like turn it over later, right?

Um okay. I did all of that. So, that is almost the end of our turn. Now, we will draw five cards, right? Usually, they the rest of the deck, but now we have that trinket, right? So, we just draw these cards so we know like for next turn what we have. We have only currency, so we can like invest in some cards. All right, that was our turn. Now, we go over to our turn again. Okay. First thing, we can now cast, which I will do. I will cast the spark here and deal one damage. I will deal that one damage to the Terra and Brass. So, it's down to 98. The issue is um as long as the Terra and Brass is not vulnerable, it only receives one damage per attack. And it is not vulnerable as long as this regeneration card is here.

And um the Terra and Brass becomes vulnerable as soon as we have covered all of these spaces here. Um covering such a space we can do with like spending three ether. We can just pay in order to like cover these, and then we can do that action here, and then we can um and then we can like damage the uh the Terra and Brass really as soon as everything is covered. So, we will have to do that quite soon, I think. But at the moment we don't have that much uh damage potential anyway. So, let's see. We have 1 2 3 4 5 ether plus an ether token that we can get. That would be six ether. Um We can do things with that. So, I could uh like buy any of these spell cards, but at the moment we don't do that much damage. So, I think what I will do instead, I will spend all of these six ether in order to actually like uh cover um a few spots here.

So, let me see. Yeah, it's not great because we can do this here. That's fine. Gain one charge. That's cool. I would definitely take take a charge. That's good. Um but the others don't help us. We could like gain either here. We can draw and discard a card. Actually, we could do that. I think I'm going to do this here. I think I'm going to draw a card and then discard it again because yeah, the fuse opal is good. We can gain one either or conjure. Conjure means we can take like another card and put it face down here for like two damage. Um but I rather want to like get through my deck a little bit quicker, I think. So, I'm fine with with doing that. Okay, we have done everything we can during our turn. So, we now discard all these cards. I will use this. I will we'll do this order here and then we just turn them over without without shuffling them. And draw five cards again for our next turn.

All righty. Very good. Oh, by the way, the the trinket that I had I've actually should have discarded that one to the bottom of the trinket deck here. Okay. So, next turn we Yeah, we can do a bit of damage but not too much like in two turns at least. All right, that was our turn. Let's see whose turn it is. It's now the Nemesis turn. So, with the Nemesis works like this. The Nemesis always goes through all the cards that they have placed I will just place it down here and hope I have enough room. So, powers for example, powers have power tokens on them. And whenever the Nemesis turn, we remove one power token. When the last power token is returned we resolve we resolve what happens here. This would actually be regeneration. All of these tokens would be removed and the Nemesis would then not be vulnerable again. So, kind of a bummer.

Um that's the only thing that we have here. That means now we draw a card and also put that there. We don't resolve it at the moment but we resolve it then next time it's the Nemesis' turn. That's a minion. That's a different type of card. There are three cards, power cards, minion cards, and attack cards. It Power cards I've explained. Attack cards just do one thing. Just do like like Attack cards do like one thing and then we discard the card. And minions, they are persistent. They stay here in the area. Um for example here, this one has like five health and whenever it would like be be the Nemesis' turn, it would remove a Nemesis token from the armor chart or any player suffers one damage and discards a gem in hand. I can then choose what I want to do. But I can also defeat this minion here.

All right, that was the Nemesis' turn. Let's continue. It's the Nemesis' turn again. We remove one power token. And then it's the Servant of Brass. Uh remove a Nemesis token from the armor chart. Yeah, I think I will do that because um I will not be able to uh to damage to do enough damage before the regeneration hits. So, that's a shame. I didn't know that it would be like this hard difficult. So, let me just remove this one here, I guess. Okay, but it doesn't do any damage at least. So, at the moment this minion is not very dangerous. Later on it will be. So, we will have to get rid of that sometime. All right, these were the two Nemesis cards. So, now it can only be like one foe card and two player cards. It is our turn. All right, so let's see. I would definitely attach a spark here.

One, two, three. I have four uh four either and I can also get a trinket. With four either, I could do something. Hmm, I could. What I could do is I could get this mega flux slice. That one is pretty cool. That one now introduces pulse tokens. These are new. Um and when I cast this, I either deal two damage or and gain one pulse token or if I have three pulse tokens, I can do seven damage. That is pretty cool, right? So, I can like kind of charge that. That's also very nice one to have. So, I think 1 2 3 4. You know what? I will actually do that. I will get this. And whenever you purchase something here from the market, you will just put it here in your discard pile.

Um and also I can with this one here, I can gain a trinket and place it on top of my deck. This will be gain one either and an ally gains an either token. Ah, it's the same thing that I just had. Same thing, I think. Yeah, okay, sure. Why not? Um and if I do, the friend gains one charge. Okay, good. We are charging up the friend. And that was my turn. So, I will now remove I will just discard everything and draw five cards again. 1 2 3 4 5. Okay. Very cool. Um let's see. That's a trinket for sure. And Oh, yeah, I can buy I can buy quite a few quite a few things. Not too bad. It is the foe's turn. We do the same thing here. We remove one power token like for the uh like for the nemesis. And then we do whatever it says here.

Add a power token to spreading shadow. Okay, so we add one back again. Any player destroys a card in hand that costs one either or more, or any player discards two gems. Oh, then let me not do that yet. Oh, I Do I actually have cards that cost one or more? I don't. So, I will have to discard two gems. Yeah, I guess I will have to discard two crystals then. And with that, I have less money. That is very unfortunate. Okay. That was almost the foe's turn. The foe will now discard this one and draw the next card. And we'll charge up Ooh, that's kind of rough. By the way, one more thing we can do is we can also spend either in order to remove a nemesis token from the creeping dark because the more nemesis token, the more damage when actually all these power tokens are gone.

Right? Like for each nemesis token, me three damage to Gravehold. So, we might want to do that at some point. All right, the last card must be us. Um we don't have a whole lot. Um I will do the spark. I will deal one damage to who? To whom will I do that? I can't start damaging them. I could also go for the minion, right? I could do that as well. You know what? Let me do one damage to the first damage to the minion. So, um what I forgot to do here is actually like uh put like also health tokens on the minion. I usually like just take a a die here as well. So, I did one damage to the minion, so that's four. [snorts] Okay. Um and then here I can take three either plus one either token. I will use a token immediately in order to getting another mega flux slice.

I would like to go a little bit into damage now, um but I also need to buy some of these cards here. Okay. Uh let me go into this direction. Yeah, that's fine. That was my turn. So, we draw one card. Let me turn this over and draw the rest. 1 2 3 4 and I think that trinket and you get used to that because uh trinkets are new. That's not like really like internalized into my flow yet here, but this one I always need to like uh discard to the bottom of the trinket deck. Okay. That was our turn, but what we do now is now we take all the turn out of cards here and those we actually do shuffle. Let me just give it them a quick shuffle here. Like this. And then see whose turn it is. It is my turn. Okay, very cool.

Uh let me see. Uh okay. So, we have the mega flux slice. That's nice. I also need to open that at some point. That one does more damage. This one lets us cast more stuff. But also we need more here. I think that is pretty good. So, I think 1 2 3 4. Oops. Four of those. Yeah, I think I will spend these four. I'll put that one there. I will spend these four in order to get a fossil nugget. That one gives us like two either per card. And also we have the recall ability here um that lets an ally, which is us, gain an either token. And that's pretty interesting because like um either token, I haven't really explained that yet, but it's like a token you can get, but it will like um be gone at the end of the turn. So, you can just use it for one turn, but it's like one extra either that you have. And also recall means as long as this is in your discard pile, you can use it once per turn, right? So, I could also use it right now, but with that one either token I cannot do anything anyway.

Um but yeah, that's pretty cool. And then also I'm able to gain a trinket and put it on top of my deck. I will do that. What do we have here? Clouded Trinket. You may cast any player's prepped spell. Return it to the bottom of the trinket deck. As you can see, so we can like put a spell there and then immediately cast it. Okay, sure.

[clears throat]

I don't think this is going to help me a whole lot, but with that, since we did that, that will gain another charge, which is which is nice. Okay, that was our turn. So, let me put all of that here. Draw five cards. 1 2 3 4 5. And then it's somebody's turn. It's the Nemesis' turn. All right, the Nemesis will lose this power token here. And now we resolve this here. Remove each Nemesis token covering a space on the armor chart and then set this aside. So, we will now set this aside. That's good. And now we need to put like all of these stuff here on there again so that we can actually like damage them um in a big way. And this one here says remove a Nemesis token from the armor chart or any player suffers one damage and discards a gem in hand. We cannot remove a Nemesis token from the armor chart, so we need to suffer one damage, down to nine, and discard a gem in hand. Yeah, I will just discard the cheapest gem that I have here. Okay.

Um and then we draw a new card for the Nemesis. That's an attack, unleash twice. Unleash. That means we always do the ability that says up here. It says if regeneration is in play, the Terror Embrace gains brass gains five life, otherwise advance the World Splitter track. So, we go up here. And whatever it covers like one of these effects, we will have to resolve those effects. And then any player gains a charge. Okay, that's fine. I will definitely take one of those. Okay. All right, that was the Nemesis turn. So, we discard this attack card, we don't need this anymore, and now it is our turn. All right. So, we can do some damage here. Um I will do that. I will deal two damage. I will deal you two damage here to the Servant of Brass.

Two more damage and this one is gone, that's good. Um so, let's see. The spark, one, two. We can cast any player's prep spell. Yeah. It doesn't really do anything, right? But I guess I will put the spark here. And then I will uh cast it immediately. This is like a triggered that goes to the bottom of the deck here again. Um but we can like cast this immediately, I guess, that's fine, and do one damage to the Terror Embrace. Okay. And then I have like two of those left. With two gems, I can't do anything really. What I can do is I can spend those two to get another charge. I guess that's fine. We can like charge up a little bit, right? Okay.

Now I will draw five cards again, one, two, three, four, five. And it is somebody's turn. It is my turn again. Okay, so let's see. We don't have anything to damage to damage at the moment. So, what do we need to do? I need to um get a few more of the either tokens so we can like actually charge up here. Um I need more tags. I think I will do more megaflux slices. By the way, I should have gained uh two pulse tokens already. So, yeah, I would definitely put those here. Uh because like uh this does more damage when I have like three pulse tokens. All right. So, what do we need to do? Um yeah, we have the megaflux slice here. So, we need to go up here. We need to get either and go here. We need to get either. We need to get more megaflux slices and we need to like charge up here.

Okay. So, let's see. How many do we have? We have two. Three, four, five. Yeah, we would have five either this round. That is a rough because that's uh that's not quite enough. I would need six, right? Because with six I could do this twice here for example. Um yeah. Uh I have an idea. I have an idea what I can do. I would spend I would spend three right here. Yeah. I would spend three in order to cover one of those and I will cover this one here. With this one I will now gain one either and then I will spend two more. That's another three so I can um put another one on here and I will put it on gain one charge.

That's not too bad. So, we're almost charged up. That is good. And this I will put here. Also, with the thing here we couldn't could have gotten another trinket, which we will do. So, I will gain that one. Any ally draws a card. Okay, so I can just draw an extra card. Okay, this doesn't really do a whole lot, but it gives the friend another charge. That's the important thing. And uh then we can do the like trigger that ability. Do we trigger it immediately or do we do that when it's the uh the fo- the friend's turn? Any player destroys a card in the hand or discard pile? Um I think we do it when it's their turn, right? I'm not 100% sure, but still whatever I would like destroy like one of these cards that go into my discard pile soon, so I would trigger it now so I don't forget later on. I would destroy that crystal here. Destroy means you remove from the game completely, that means you thin your deck a little bit and these are removed then. Okay.

That was a pretty good turn actually. Okay, so let me let me discard those like in in which direction? I think in this order here. Like this. And then I will draw 1 2 3 4 5 cards. Okay, and then it is my turn again. So first I will deal two damage here to the servant of brass. So this one is gone. We just discard him, that's great. And also we gain another pulse token. That means we could lose uh three pulse tokens at some point with this attack in order to do seven damage. First we need to fill all of these up. So let's see how much either we have. So we have 1 2 3 4 We have four. That is not enough at all. Uh let me see.

Let me first use this ethereal trinket. That one lets me draw a card. That's fine. I'm just taking these trinkets to charge up the friend. That's all I'm going to all I'm doing. Ooh, nice. That's actually good for With four I can't do a whole lot, but what I will do is the following. I will put this here. And then I will spend three in order to put an emphasis token on here. With that I can draw a card and discard a card. So let's see. Okay, that's another that's another spell. That's okay. Um I would just then discard this one here. And I still have this one, so I will just uh I will just keep it, I guess.

Yeah, what should I do? So, let me discard these three here and then draw five cards again. 1 2 3 4 5. Oh, no, no, not not five. I will just draw four, right? Up to a hand limit of five because I still have this spark here. So, then it is the nemesis' turn. There are no cards to activate here, so we will just draw a card. There's a power immediately unleash. Okay, so general regeneration is not in play. That means we advance the world splitter spread world splitter track. If the terra brace of price has 89 or less life, it gains 10 life. Not the case. Otherwise, any player suffers two damage. All right, so we're down to seven. Mhm.

[clears throat]

To discard, we can discard four cards in hand, so we can discard this power. Otherwise, it will now get three power tokens on it. Um, and for the rest of the game, when the last power token is removed from regeneration, we have to advance the world splitter track. Um that is pretty bad. But, we don't have the regeneration card on yet at the moment. Um, I guess it can come back into the game at some at some point. I wouldn't miss anything here. I have no idea, but I guess, yeah. All right. So, the following this is the following, then the friend after that. Okay, so

[snorts]

um creep first of all, we have to remove one of those, and then creeping dark gains two charges or any player discards a gem. Um, for that we can remove, but we have to remove one power token. I would like to have the shadow there for a while, so let him gain two charges, I guess. Um, yeah, I I guess so. But, like charging him, and would like get really strong. He would like remove two powers power tokens and also get a nemesis token. So, it might be better actually to remove one power token here to discard a gem. Let's see how much I have. I have 1 2 3 5. With five, I could charge this twice. Yeah, no no no. I'm not going to discard a gem. Not at all. I will have to charge twice. It's not great, but it is what it is. All right.

So, we discard this one here. Draw the next card. Oh, this would be even more charges. Oh, that's pretty bad. Okay. Good. Now, it's the friend's turn. Um any player draws a card or any player places a relic in their discard pile into their hand. I don't have any relics, so I will just draw a card. Okay, that's even one more. So, I could have I could have actually uh discarded a gem, but you never know, right? Okay. So, we discard this one here as well. Turn over the next one, which makes him gain two charges. Okay, great. So, now we take all of these and shuffle them again. Yeah, that's how we continue until we beat the boss. This boss takes a long time to beat. Man, this will be a long video. Oh, this will take so long to edit. Oh, man, I'm not looking forward to that.

All right. It's the nemesis turn first. We remove one power token here. And then we draw a card and see what happens. It is a minion again with five health. The besieging blade. When Grey Fur suffers damage from the world's blood track, it suffers one additional damage. Oh, that happens here and here and there. Okay. Persistent. Any player discards two cards in hand. We need to get rid of you. Which I can do pretty much like immediately when it's my turn. Okay. Good. It is my turn. I can now lose three soul stones to do seven damage. That would be good. Then this will would gone because I don't want Greyfur to suffer even more damage. So, I think I will do that. I will do this. I will suffer I will I will uh remove these three pulse tokens. By the way, we can only have five at a time, and deal seven damage to you.

Okay. I think that was important because we cannot damage him that much anyway yet. But, starting next turn we can. All right. So, 1 2 3 4 6. We have six. Um I will prep this one first. Um and then uh we have six that we can use. Um I will just use all of those six. Um also, we can gain a trinket, which I will also do. So, I will do these six to put these here. We can cast uh we can like gain um many the token, which doesn't really help us this turn. And also, we can cast any player's prep spell. So, I will cast this immediately to do one damage to this guy. This guy is not vulnerable, right? Because we have everything covered here. So, now we can do a lot of damage. I hope we will draw some damage cards, like some spell cards soon.

Um and also, we can get a trinket. Um this one lets us gain one charge. That is really good, actually. And also, with that die, the youth gains one charge as well. Okay, that was good. Then, I will remove uh I will let this discard my cards. In which order? Uh I think in this order here. Like that. Actually, let me do it like this. Okay. Let me draw five cards. 1 2 3 4 5. Including the trinket. Okay. And with that, it is somebody else's turn. Yep, the friend's turn. So, Die can gain some charges, or we can gain a relic that costs four or less. So, we could get the Rift Ring for for uh for free. This one would let me gain two charges and gain two trinkets, put them on top of our deck, or destroy it and gain two lives. Add two life. This is good for healing, but we don't need that right now.

And this card will come up later. So, instead, I will let die gain two charges. Because that is pretty good. Oh, by the way, I forgot something. Um because when I destroyed my card, I can get a card that costs up to two more than the destroyed card. I mean, it doesn't help me because there are none none that cost two, but I just wanted to let you know, like when we destroy a card with this special ability, we can actually get a card that is more expensive, right? So, I could like, for example, destroy this one here and gain that one instead. Which would be pretty good, actually. Okay. Uh that was the friend's turn. Okay, so we did that. We discard that one and we draw the next one here. And then it is the Nemesis' turn. We remove one more token here. Oh, that's bad.

I think I need to discard four cards in hand next turn. Um and then here, another power. To discard spend seven either that's a lot. Power two. Place the Nemesis turn order card in the turn order discard pile on top of the turn order deck, or unleash twice and any player loses three charges. All not that great. Hopefully, it's not his turn again. No, it's my turn. Let me see, can I maybe get rid of four cards here? Ooh, the mega flux I definitely want to keep. For sure. Yeah. Um oh, getting one charge would also be really good, but then I need to discard cards. Oh, what do I do? Because yeah, I don't want this to be there.

Doing four da- like doing two damage would be nice, but it's also nothing that I really need at the moment, right? I think gaining the gaining the charge would be better. So, I would actually discard these four cards here. Um I will use this one here in order to gain one charge. I think that's better. So, that means we just put one more charge token here. Oops. So, now I can cast a spell in my hand twice without discarding it. Um I don't have one, but I will just use it at some other point. This means this one is being discarded. That's good because I think that one is quite dangerous actually. We don't really want that. Okay. That was my turn. Not a great turn, but I just had to do it. Okay, 1 2 3 4 cuz you already have one in my hand.

Uh I had one in the deck. So, we do have some damage stuff here. Okay. We also need to open this rift at some point. This one will like really help us. I mean this this breach. Okay, so let's continue. It is a foe's turn. Crimson dark gains three charges and add two power tokens to spreading shadows, which is really bad, or any player discards a gem in hand that costs two or more. Do I have a phosphor nugget here? I do. Then I will discard that one. It's not great, but I need to do it, I guess. Okay. Uh that was the foe's turn, by the way. We still need to remove one of those. I forgot that. Okay, I'm still having like trouble finding a way to like really do damage here, but we will now I think now I will just open this and do like loads of damage.

Okay. So, first what I will first do is I will first uh use my ability here. Like this. And then I we can do two things with that. Either I can now trigger that one twice. That means I would do four damage and and gain two pulse tokens, which is really nice, or what I could also do is gain five either that I can use to get a spell. Um both valid options, but I think doing doing this four damage stuff is better. I think because I I two pulse tokens, right? I think that's better at the moment. Um I can get those uh soon. So, I will do that. That means um I cast this twice. That's dealing four damage, and I gain two pulse tokens.

Like this. And we do four damage to this guy. Okay, we we really need to get him down now. So, and then I will put this here. I only have two uh either that I can use. So, I will use those in order to charge a little bit more again. And then I can also gain a trinket. I will do that. I put that on top. That is like gaining two either. That's pretty good. And put one charge on die the youth. Um and then I will I think use that immediately in order to destroy that crystal here, like this. I hope I can do it that way, right? Um I don't quite know when that triggers, but I think that's okay. I could probably also trigger it in their turn and just destroy [clears throat] something here. Okay. So, this one I have used, so I will discard that one and draw five cards. 1 2 3 4 5.

Okay, man. This is not easy. Oh, not five. Sorry. Just four because we still have that one here. Uh so, first I will um uh do this here. So, we do deal two damage and gain a pulse token. That's great. We do two damage to the Terra in brass. Okay. And then uh I will put the spark here. Nah, actually not. Uh and then I have 1 2 3 4 I have five. Uh five. I will do it like this. I will use these uh 1 2 3 4 here in order to get another megaflux slice. I'm quite happy with that at the moment. And then I still have one. I could also conjure if I wanted to. With that I would like place like the next card like face down and deal two damage.

That would be good now that I can actually deal damage. So, I think I will do that. I will use that one here. So, that means I would like take this card here. Oh, there's a mega flux site. But it would also do deal two damage. I would still do that. I would still um put that there face down. That now counts as a deal two damage card. Okay, this one I will keep in my hand and these I will uh just remove. Let's do it like hm like this I guess. Okay, draw five cards. 1 2 3 No, just four cards because we still have that there. Did I remove that trinket? I didn't again. This is like something I really get need to get used to, right? I'm so like in my zone here when I play Aeon's End that I completely forget that stupid trinket card. But I guess that's the way it is.

All right. So, um we now shuffle these cards here and see who is next. It's not going great, right? I mean okay, the the opponent's 10% down, but I really need to do more damage quicker. I need to get this open here. It's our turn. Let's see if I can like start focusing here. Because I now have spells and stuff, that's fine. I will now cast this one, do two damage here. Um so, that would be then 80 88 like that. 1 2 3 4 5 That would be five. Um with five I can uh not do a whole lot, right? But I will use uh three of those five in order to focus here. And then the other two I will use to uh to charge up a little bit more. Okay, it's not great, but it's okay. I can work with that. There should be now quite a lot of mega flux slices in here.

1 2 3 4 5 Okay. And let's see. Oh, yeah, I have two in here. Um Oh, I have an idea Oh, I have a good idea. I have a really cool idea. Okay, and then it is the foes turn. Okay, we remove one power token. Um and then remove one power token from Spraying Shadow. Repeat this twice or Decrepit Dark gains two charges. Ooh. Um uh two charges. I think the first one is better, removing two power tokens. Because with that gaining two charges, they will do that as well. Okay. Then we shuffle all of these cards and turn over the next one again, like this.

Okay, Nemesis. It's Nemesis' turn. We remove one power token here and draw a new card. Minion, Havoc Smith. Oh, Havoc Smith. Oh, that's 10 health. Do not resolve effects on the armor chart. That's fine because it's already there. Persistent, any player suffers two damage. Oh, two damage every time it's the Nemesis' turn. Ooh, that's pretty bad. We need to get rid of this guy. We really do. So, it's our turn. So, first of all, I will deal one damage. I will deal that damage to I guess to you maybe, I guess. So, and then let's see here. So, first of all, I will attach the megaflux splice there. And then you see I have three either I can spend. I will spend those two focus this breach because now that I have focused it, I can actually put a spell there.

But that means next round I have to cast it. But that's fine. That is no problem. Also, I can gain a trinket, which I will do, and put it at the top of my deck. This gains me two either one of them I can only use for gaining cards. Okay, not that helpful, but I will put another charge on die. That is good. Okay, then we remove all of these cards in this order. And then we draw cards. One, two, three, four, five. Let it be our turn again, please, before the Nemesis. Please. Okay, it's different. So, different will now gain two charges or this any player this card already in hand. If they do, that player gains five either tokens. I don't I probably don't have a relic.

I mean, of course I don't have any relics yet. So, no, I can't do that. So, gain two charges, that's fine. All right. So, we shuffle all of these for the next turn. There we go. Okay, please let it be my turn before the Nemesis. Please. Okay, good. This we can work with. So, first I will have to uh cast that spell, so I will do that, but I will lose the three pulse tokens in order to do seven damage, and then I will cast this one here and deal two damage with it, gaining one pulse token. If you have added all of that up, that's exactly nine damage, so this one is gone. Because that one is like actually like just doing too much damage to us. So, one, two, three, four, five. I would have five of those.

So, we can work with that, I think. So, let's do one, two, three, oh, five. With five we can open that one. Yeah, perfect. Yeah, let's lose use all of those. The trinket I would have to put to the bottom of the trinket deck. And that now means we can open our breach. So, this one is important because this one does plus one damage um for each spell I put there, and also I can place this spell in an ally's hand. That means I put this here, I take it back into my hand, right? That means I now have a spell every turn. Now we can start doing damage. I hope. So, these are discarded in this order, I guess. That's fine. And then 1 2 3 4 5.

Ooh.

[sighs]

Okay. It's our turn again. So, we can now do three damage and gain one pulse token. So, let's do three damage here. Nice. Okay, so let's see what we have. So, now we have all of that here. Um I mean, we can also like spend five either in order to remove a nemesis token, right? But that's not important yet. By the way, I made one mistake. I just realized there's one line that I didn't really read here. This one says double all damage dealt to the terror while it is vulnerable. Right? Um so, I don't I think I only um did like two damage or so while it was not vulnerable, I think. Um that means that would be like 13 damage I would have done extra. But I'm not quite sure if that is correct, so I will just deduct 10 damage, right? To kind of make up for that.

That explains why it has so much health. Okay, but I don't know how it gets the how it gets that um regeneration card back, to be honest. I understand. I made a small another mistake. Whenever he becomes vulnerable, which I've done, the regeneration card comes back into play. Um and also with like the three power tokens on here, right? Um so, I'm not quite sure uh when this regeneration card would now trigger. I think it would make sense for the uh for the regeneration card to trigger next turn again. So, I will just I will just trigger that next time it's a nemesis turn. Uh sorry for that rules mistake. Um I didn't quite understand that. That is like for a first boss in a new Aeon's End boss, quite quite a complex boss, but now I understand it. Okay.

It's There's a lot going on here with that one. So, I'm sorry for that mistake, but um at least I want to give you like the feeling of how this game plays, right? Okay. So, let's see what we can do. So, 1 2 we do have one spark that isn't great, but okay. 1 2 3 4. With four we can't really do a whole lot to be honest, not really. Um I mean, you could get another mega flux slice, right? I guess. Do we need that many? I mean, hmm. I don't know. We do have that ability of um like getting this card now back into our hand all the time. I think I would just charge it up a little bit. 1 2 3 4. Yeah, with four I will just charge up. I think that's a good idea. So, but then again, we could also do the conjure thing, right? No, well, you know what? I will just charge up twice. I think that's a good idea. Like this here.

Okay. Then we discard all of that. Man, I still can't believe that I made that these huge mistakes here, but yeah, at least I kind of fixed them. But now we know at least. So, now it's the Nemesis' turn. So, now we do all of that properly. We remove that one. Um this one now removes all of these here. So, now he's not vulnerable again. So, we put that one back. So, now the Nemesis is a lot more fun.

Now that I understand how it works. And then this one here also um so, we now place the Nemesis turn order card in the turn um order discard pile on top of the turn order deck. That means it's like his turn again in just a moment. Or we can unleash twice, like go up here twice. Um and we could lose three charges. It would be kind of okay because we then wouldn't have to put the turn order deck there at the turn order card there, but it would now just gain 10 life. Ah, that would be pretty bad. But then again, we can like get it down quite quickly once we put all these stuff there. I think it's fine. You know what? Let's rather do that. Um let's advance that twice. It will gain 10 life. We can get this back again. I think that's fine.

Okay. Then uh we draw a new card. To discard, destroy a prompt spell that costs six or more. We don't have those. We would have to buy this one here. Uh otherwise it would unleash twice and Greywolf would suffer three damage. That's pretty bad. But okay. Let's see. So, then we shuffle the Eternal Decks and see whose turn it is next. To cut, it is oops. Now we already spoiled it that we we might turn twice. Okay, so let's see. First of all, we we will deal two damage. Let me see. I can do this, that. Okay. Let's deal two damage to Well, it's just one damage, right? To you at the moment.

Um Okay, so I will definitely like I will have to like put you here, but I will not cast you next turn yet because we first need to get your armor up again. So, that's 1 2 3 4. That is not enough, but we can use that to put at least one token here. Uh let me Well, let me do it differently. Let me just do three and then put you here so I can draw a card and discard a card. That doesn't do anything. Okay. Uh then this one I will just pay as well to do nothing. Uh yeah, that was a pretty like dead turn, but I guess that's the way it is. All right, let's discard those. Draw five cards. 1 2 3 4 5. This is very hard to fill that up because I haven't really built like into like an engine here. So, I might have to buy more of those cards. So, I'll not do any damage.

Well, actually I could. I will actually do these two and three. Well, let me see. Actually, let me do these two damage here. It's only one. But, it's better than nothing and I will get a pulse token. I mean, that's worth quite a bit. And then I will do that again. I will also uh deal two damage uh with this one even even three damage, right? But, I can't put it like in my hand because of that ability and I can gain another pulse token. I can like load up on a few pulse tokens now. And then I will put these there again. Like this. Nice. One, two, three, four. Again four. That's again like the wrong the wrong number here. But, uh yeah, let's I guess one, two. Let's spend three for now.

With which ones? These three here? Um I will put it on

[snorts]

here to gain a charge, I guess. Cast any player's prep spell. I could also do that. Put it on there. Um and then I could cast uh doesn't really matter which one I hit. No, it doesn't matter which one I cast. But, it would actually Actually, it would. I would cast this one here. Um do one damage again. But, I could get it back into my hand and also I can get a pulse token number five. Okay, that's not bad. Then, we'll just put it here again. That's fine. And I will just also pay that for nothing pretty much. But, I just want to get it out of my hand for now. Okay. Hmm. Complicated turns. I hope this is entertaining to watch because I'm still not quite sure like what I'm doing here. This like really really hampers my progress.

But, I mean I guess that's the design, right? So, this one is removed. And then we draw a new card. Any player gains a trinket and suffers one damage and that happens twice. So, we're down to five now. And also, we gain a trinket. All right, so you put it in our discard pile. Otherwise, it would say put it on top of the deck. Gain one charge. Okay, sure. Fine. Why not? Okay, so whose turn is it? It is the friend's turn. All right, the friend can gain two charges or I can gain relic that costs four or less. The wrist ring would now slowly make sense regarding healing. So, I think Yeah, because like two charges would also be like over overkill here. So, I think I will gain this wrist ring and put it in my discard pile. Okay, I think that's pretty good.

Okay, next turn they gain one charge. Okay, that's fine. Then it is my turn again. So, let's see what we can do. So, dealing damage would now not really do anything. I could do it. I mean, this one I can do. That would just deal two damage. So, one damage, but I can get it back into my hand. This is one free damage, and I can like equip it again. Um but I also fire off that one. Yeah, let me also fire off that one. That also deals one damage. Um but I will not gain more power tokens because I already have five. And then I can just equip them again like this and that. Okay, so 1 2 3 4 I have five here. Uh what I will do is I will spend three to put a nemesis token on here. With that, I gain one either that I can I use with the two here to put another one here. And with that one, I will gain a charge.

Okay, next turn I will be able to do a few things, and then I will also be able to do damage again. Man, this is tough. For first boss, this one is quite tough, actually. But, let's see. 1 2 3 4 5. Okay. It is the nemesis turn. right, so we put this away. Unleash twice. Unleash twice means this one now advances one. Gravehold takes two damage and another one that's five damage to Gravehold. But that's like the first damage to Gravehold that he's doing. So I think we're still okay. And then Gravehold takes another three damage. Okay, so we're down to 22. Okay, that was like eight damage in one turn. That is a lot. Okay, and then we draw another card.

Okay, that's a Flayer. With 10 health. Quite an ugly guy. Um persistent unleash and the player places a card in hand on top of an ally's deck. Huh. Okay. That's not great. So we might have to get rid of this guy. Okay, one. Let me see. We can We can actually do this now. This one, yeah. We can deal seven damage by losing three pulse tokens. Uh plus one extra damage that doesn't do anything. Doesn't do anything, but still it's eight damage. So down to two. So we get rid of those those here. Um but this one will get back go back into my hand. And then here I will deal one damage, but I will deal that to you.

Like this. 79. Okay. And then I will of course like put that one here again and this one here. Like this and then we have four. So I will do three of those in order to put like a Nemesis token here. With that I will gain a trinket for the top of my deck. Okay. Yeah, nice. And can put a charge token on here. I will resolve that in just a moment. And I will get another either. Mm. But that one doesn't do anything. So I will just leave it like this. So, this one is now vulnerable, so we need to like do the different things now. This one is now vulnerable again because so, we need to put the regeneration back here with a power three. So, now we're on a timer to do as much damage as we can.

Um also, we put this one down here again like this. And then also, we can um we can do this effect here and we can destroy a card in our hand or discard pile. This one was still in my hand. I don't really use this too much, but I think instead, do I still have Yeah, I still have all these crystals here. I will destroy that one. And then I could get like a card that costs two, but there are none of those. Okay, that was a pretty decent turn, actually. I think that was pretty good. So, let me just put that here like this maybe. And then draw five cards. One, two, three, four, five like this.

Okay. Oh, it's I think it's the foe's turn, right? For each nemesis token, Creeping Dark has Grave Warden suffers three damage. Okay. So, down to 19. It's getting close. Then Creeping Dark gains one nemesis token. And then we put like seven power tokens back on the card. Five, six, seven just like that. And then we also trigger that one here. Creeping Dark gains three charges and add two power tokens to the Feral Shadow or any player discards a gem in hand that costs two or more. Do I have my Phosphor Nugget here? I do. Yeah, let me remove that one. I don't really need it at the moment. I need to do damage, so that's fine. So, I could just discard that one. That is totally fine, actually. All right. So, let's uh shuffle this deck and see whose turn it is next.

Man, I still can't believe that I made huge mistake at the beginning. Or these two huge mistakes, but now I got it and that's fine. All right. Man, this is a long play where I've been recording more than 1 and 1/2 hours now, but uh let's try to finish this fight now. All right, so let's see whose turn this is. My turn. So now I can do really two damage. I will do two damage to you. Um that's exactly what this guy needs. I gain one pulse token and then here I can now lose three pulse pulse tokens to deal seven damage plus one. That's eight damage and I double that because he's vulnerable, so that's 16 damage. So oh man, that is down to three and six. Okay.

So and then I will put this back into my hand and I will place it back immediately. Okay, and then also I will put this one here. Okay, okay, we're doing stuff now. Here I can now I can now gain two charges. Oh wait, before I put it there. Before I put this there, um I will trigger my ability here. Um and now I can cast this twice without discarding it. Um so I will do that. I'll cast this twice, so I gain two pulse tokens again. And do four damage to you, doubled, right? So down to 55. All right, now. Now. This will be will be cool. Next turn I can again do like 20 damage or something. Okay, so now I'm with this this boss. So this one here lets me gain one charge. I will do that.

This is returned to the bottom of the trinket deck. And then this one here gains I can gain like one either and an additional one for gaining cards. Doesn't do anything, so I will just like put it down there. That's fine. And this one here lets me gain two charges and gain two trinkets and put them on top of my deck. Yeah, let me do that. I will heal a little bit later. I think I'm still okay. Nothing really does like five damage to me at the moment. So, I will gain those two charges. That's good. For like creating like these uh these pulse tokens, that's really good. And also I gain two trinkets, put them on top of my deck. Let's see what we have here. This one is the first one. Uh I can cast any player's prep spell. Well, I can do that like during your turn. Okay, that's fine. And this one here, any ally draws a card, return this to the bottom of the trinket deck. Here, I just the card draw. Yeah, that's not great. But, okay, I can do that. That's fine.

Okay, and then I draw five cards. 1 2 3 4 5. Okay. Oh, by the way, I discarded them like all during my turn, but I would have done it like in this order here. The fossil nugget was I had to do that, but first the attack and then the rift ring. Okay, whose turn is it? Is it mine? It is not. Is it friend's turn? Now he gains one charge and any player focuses their closed breach with the lowest focus cost, or any player with no closed breaches, which is my turn, gains two charges. Oh, that is good. I can do even more damage next turn. Nice. Thanks, friend. That's good. That is good. It is the Nemesis turn. We remove one power token here. So, now I'm in the flow again now that I know how the boss works.

Immediately unleash twice. So, um regeneration is in play. That means he gains five life twice. This up to 365 again. And then we set this next to the armor chart. Oh, then that means he will not see it. Then I will just put it here. For the Oh, for the rest of the game. Power three. Oh, not yet. Not yet. Power three, set this next to the armor chart for the rest of the game. When Gravehold would suffer damage from the world's pillar track, Gravehold suffers one additional damage. Okay, now it goes a little bit faster regarding Gravehold. Now we have so So power tokens going around here. I only have one left, so I will take take two of the like original ones. These are like the original power tokens here um that you would have when you would buy the game. So, yeah. We'll just do it like this. Actually, let me do it like this. That looks a little bit more like the same. Okay. Good.

Now with the next turn, now it is the false turn. Add a power token to spreading shadow. Any player destroys a card in hand that costs one or more or any player discards two gems. I can discard gems now. Yeah, I would just discard these two gems. That's fine. I don't need those at the moment. That's absolutely fine. Um okay. Oh, by the way, I should have removed one of those. I sometimes tend to forget. There's a lot going on now. Wow. Loads going on at the moment. Uh okay. So, whose turn is it? It's my turn. Wonderful. So, what will we do? I will deal two damage and gain a pulse token. So, up here and that's four damage because we double that.

Then I will deal seven damage here plus one. So, that is uh that is 14 damage uh 16 damage. I'm also going to get you back to my hand, so we're down to uh 45 actually. Nice. Then I will trigger my ability to uh trigger that spell twice. That means I gain two pulse tokens and also um I do another four damage times two. So, down to 37. Okay. And then I will equip you here and well, actually I would No, I will uh it doesn't Yeah, it doesn't matter. No, it doesn't really matter.

Uh 14 No, it doesn't matter uh I guess. I guess it doesn't matter. But maybe there's a minion out there that needs a little bit less damage. Okay. And then here I can draw another card. Okay, sure. I'll put this at the bottom of the trinket deck. And here I can cast any player's prep spell. Does that do anything? I don't know. Not really because I can just cast the next next turn. Doesn't really matter. Yeah, but I will still do it. I will just do this because I have that trinket. Oh, now I messed everything up here. Good job. Good job, Sir Fekus. Okay.

And then I guess I will Yeah, I will cast this one here. Actually, I would have done it the other way and then I would cast this one here. No, actually no, I Mhm. Yeah, I will cast this one. Which is another one damage times two. So, down to 35. What I do with you? I could gain a trinket. I will do that. I will gain another trinket. We just draw a card again. Okay, sure. But that means you gain a charge. Okay. Um put you there. Draw five cards. Two, three, four. Five. My deck is pretty relatively thin at the moment, which is not too bad. It's my turn again. I will do this here. I will deal two damage um plus one, that's three damage times two.

So, down to 29. And also I will gain a pulse token. That's good. All right. So, let me see. I have only one spell, really? Okay. One, two, three, five. But I can first play that trinket in order to get the card. That is the spell that I wanted. 1 2 3 I have five here. I have five. You know what? I could charge up twice. I could also like get another mega flux. And like do like more damage because I have the feeling I don't really have any like quite enough spells. I could also take this one. This one just does four damage. That's also not too bad. You know what? Let me take this one here.

Okay, and then I will do it like this. I might have an issue later on getting this back up, but I still have a little bit of time here. That's fine. 1 2 3 4 5 It is the Nemesis turn. So we remove one of our token each. And then another card here. An attack. Unleash. Um so regeneration is in place, so five more health. That's up to 34 again. Gravehold suffers three damage. Okay, Gravehold is slowly having an issue. Any player gains two trinkets and place them on top of their deck. Okay, so what do we have? Uh the first one is this one here. Gain one charge. Okay, that's that's a good one. And this one here gain two either.

Okay, fine. Then we did that as well. All right, so now it is our turn, right? Yeah. So first of all, I will deal two damage to gain a pulse token. That is of course then four damage instead. And then I will lose three pulse tokens again in order to do uh seven damage plus one, that's eight damage times two, that's 16 damage. So that's down to 14, right? Yeah. Nice. Okay, hope maybe we can if we are lucky with the turn order, we might be able to get him before he like removes all this stuff again. Otherwise, it will be a little bit harder, but okay, let's see.

I will put this back into my hand. And then I will put this one here and this one there. Uh what else can we do? We could gain two charges. But I think instead I think I will just try this one and just gain two life just to be safe. And then I have to take two either I will use those in order to charge up once. And the spark we need to keep in our hand. Okay. 1 2 3 4 5 No. No, no, no, just just four because we still have one in our hand. Let's not forget that. Okay. So, let's see.

We shuffle the deck again. I think it doesn't take too long anymore. It depends if I'm lucky. Um and I'm like as soon as like this one is gone Yeah, let's see. Um it like we like lose all of that again. Let's see. Okay, the foe The foe removes one of those and then remove one power token from the burning shadow or it gains two charges. No, not two charges. We will remove two power tokens instead. That is not great, but it is something we can do. Then it is our turn. So, we deal two damage and gain a pulse token. So, down to 10.

And then we deal 2 + 1 3 damage * 2 that's 6. And gain another pulse token. Okay. Now there is nothing I can do to immediately cast anything. No. So, let me put this one here, I guess, and this one here. So, if it's just our turn one more time, we win. If we don't, it might take a little bit longer. So, let's see. Maybe we're lucky and we we we um do not get our card again. That's a trinket again. We gain one charge. I will do that. So, let me put that at the bottom here. Then, um this one we need to keep in our hand.

Here, we would have two either. I will just use those. Let me discard them immediately here to gain another charge. But, essentially, now we just need to hope it's our turn. Or at least before the before the Nemesis turn, because then we win. That's it. We can now deal uh a lot of damage. We can deal now seven uh seven 17 34 damage. That means we defeat the terror in brass. Yes, at the beginning of uh like towards the beginning or the first half of the game, I made a few mistakes here, but even then you see um that we had no issue here um actually defeating him. So, we definitely would have won because like 16 health left here, seven health left here. I'm totally fine. Before he would have triggered, that would have taken another one or two game rounds. So, I am totally fine. Okay. Very, very cool.

And with that, we're at the end of the first play through, but there's still a few more things that I want to do for you. First of all, I want to read the end um the end of this battle here, right? The battle one conclusion. And after that, we will take a look at the next card and Nemesis and um and mage that we unlock. Okay. Battle conclusion. You don't understand. Nook shakes his head. I'm not supposed to be here. I'm I'm not sure if I'm supposed to be anywhere, honestly. There's no supposed to be, Nook. Lash wipes gently at Nook's cheek, catching the hot tears. There's just living. Nook's consciousness comes back to the metal room, the still warm body of the nameless sprawled out before them, the strange man standing in front of him with a concerned expression on his face.

Nook's not sure how long he's been standing here, caught in a memory, or a vision, or it's hard to figure out what's real sometimes. He's all right. Endera rests a hand on his shoulder. He gets a bit lost in his head sometimes, but he's all right. I'm Endera, and this is Nook. Who are you, and where are we? I'm Stake. This is Die and Wolf, my strike squad. You're in the system. Stake shoots Endera an odd look as if he can't believe he has to say anything at all. The tunnels beneath Cinder Crown. Nook looks at Endera, used to feeling left behind in conversation, but she seems as confused as he is. What's Cinder Crown? Die scoffs. What kind of idiot do you have to be not to not know about Cinder Crown?

It's only the biggest bastion city in the world, and the place you're literally in right now. Where'd you come from? Stake asks, suddenly a bit more cautious. The system should be hermetically sealed off from the outside.

Right. But we seal off from the outside world, isn't that the whole point? Endera asks desperately. Where are we supposed to go? Don't worry, child. There's paths to the surface even Brahma never knew of. Unmarked arrests a hand on Endera's shoulder. We will survive. That is what it means to be the people of Gravehold. Endera is staring at Nook. Stake and Wolf are staring at Nook. Die looks faint. We're from Gravehold, Luke repeats. "Well, now I know you're messing with us." Dai says, obviously trying to look confident even though his face is pale as bone. "Gravehold hasn't existed for thousands of years." "Stake!" Wolf elbows her companion with grave expression. "Look what he's holding in his hand." Luke lifts his orb to his eye line. It looks different than it had before. The void inside it's swirling backwards in impossible channels.

Like a waterfall flowing upwards. The blue glow is more intense, snapping and sparking within its shell. As he watches, the glow is beginning to build slowly, the orb getting warmer in his hand. "It can't be." Stake's eyes reflect the brilliant blue glow with greedy wonder. "All our hypothesizing, all our theories, and it already cracked it thousands of years in the past." "Cracked what?" Indira asks, confused and exasperated. Stake grins, teeth turning blue in the orb's eerie light. "Time travel." Okay. That explains what I've been saying towards the beginning of the video, that I don't quite understand where we are here, right? Because it looks like like earlier and later and kind of and and no idea. I I don't know. It's like really really confusing. So, yeah, that would make sense. So, now we're done with the battle completely. Now it says, "Open deck 1D."

Um and add all of the cards in that deck to your barracks. Let's do that by taking these cards out of here. So, stop the front and back. Okay. So, now we are actually unlocking things here. Okay, so we have like new relics here, Omen Loop. Um oh, we can now develop cards again. Okay, interesting. We have Vertification, a new spell, and we have Eternity's Echo, a new spell as well. What I usually do when I play an expedition for the channel here, I've done that before and I will do it again, is that I take like this card here, for example, this is a relic, and I will look at the cost, that's three, and I will replace it with the same cost. If it's like uh if this cost doesn't exist, I will just do an adjacent one. So, this one would go here instead of the rift ring, which is a shame. That one was a great one.

The six here I would put for the vitrification so we don't have uh the stone fury eruption anymore and this one I would put right here. These would be like the ones that I have that I would be replacing. All right. And with that, we're pretty much through. We will also um unlock Nemesis and an image, which I kind of said we would do now, but we'll do that in the next video after we read the intro to the next battle. And with that, we're at the end of the first battle of the expedition for Aon Den beyond the breach. Excuse again that I was a little bit confused towards the beginning uh regarding the boss, but yeah, now I'm back at it again.

The next battle should be a lot easier. So, well, thank you so much for watching for seeing it to the very end. I hope you enjoyed this video.
