If there's two things that I'm rather fond of, it's social deduction and baked goods. This is bluff pastry. The queen has tasked you with baking two cakes. And you better get it right because she does not settle for any mistakes. You will have a hand of cards and you will be bluffing, trading, playing cards into a pile to make sure that you are getting the four ingredients that you need for your cake.
be a market of cards in front of you. That is essentially a ladder of goods. And some of these goods like shoe pastry might be the pastry that you need. However, it may also be the pastry that your opponent needs, but you don't want to give that information away. Now, you will be playing a card down from your hand and you will be saying whether it is a pastry, a savory, a sweet, or a sauce.
Of course, you may be bluffing, but you may also be telling the truth. Then it is down to your opponent to decide whether they trust your gorgeous blue eyes. Mine mine are green. Or you're being a naughty, naughty, deceitful little baker. Naughty, deceitful little baker. You naughty, naughty, naughty, lying baker.
If you have bluffed correctly, you will score bluff points. If you are found out, your opponent will score bluff points. These bluff points are currency to be used to spend in the ladder to get that very specific shoe pastry that I needed. That shoe pastry that was there all along that I needed for the cake that the queen has asked me to bake.
That is there. That is what I've used my bluff points for. There are other options as well. You can retake the card that you've played down, keeping it in your reserve, or you can get a card from your opponent, sneakily stealing it away from their kitchen. Bluff Pastry is a super simple, silly, fun two-player game, perfectly sized to take out and about with you.
Whether you're on date night, with Valentine's Day round the corner, why not grab some bluff pastry and test out your relationship by lying to each other and cake.
