Malhya: Lands of Legends - Campaign Playthrough Episode 21
Transcript
Heat. Heat.
Hello everyone. Welcome back to Rob's Gaming Table. I'm Rob.
I'm Mel. and we're here to play Malia Lands of Legends for the first time in a few weeks. Thank you for joining us. Welcome to the live stream. We appreciate it. Thank you to our new members and old members and everyone else in between. Thank you so much for supporting the channel, allowing us to disappear for a little while to Gen Con. Have a good time, get some more games to play. Uh stay tuned. Stay tuned. All right. Uh, but most importantly, what you really wanted to know that you couldn't just look for yourself by going to the website is how this game is doing on boardgeek.com during the time we're playing it. Um,
do you have any idea?
Yes.
Okay,
I can just go like this. Thought ahead. Boom. There. I looked at the last video.
The last video was 6247.
So, it is now 6,222. So, it's better.
Yep. Sure. You know, just what we all care about. All right. Anyways,
Minion Raw, welcome.
Hello.
Uh, okay. So, I set up the scenario.
How do we play this? Yeah, we got to keep
I did this. I watched some videos today. I I went and found the playlist for the official publishers playlist of just like the how to play videos. are like 3 minutes, so don't go very detailed, but just to help me like snap back into it cuz like h [sighs] I don't even know how many games I listen to how they work or have played or have rules read since we played this last Jeez Louise. Uh lots of rules, lots of game systems, lots of stuff to look at at Gen Con. But uh yeah, so getting back to this, I'm sure we'll be fine. Obviously, there'll be some nitty-gritty rules. This always happens when we interrupt a long campaign playthrough that's like, you know, 10 to 50 episodes long. Whenever we take like an extended break during the campaign, we come back. It's like sometimes like I even started looking at the rule book today and was like, man, I'm just my eyes were glazing. Like, I did not care to read it. I was like reading it was like, man, I'm not even remembering what I'm reading. Like, I'm sure we'll figure it out. But yeah.
Oh, RAW has a point for us. Something I noticed last episode. You're distracted at the time, but chapter 36 told you to discard scenario card 34. Do we have scenario card? Oh,
good call. Good call.
Thank you. Thank you.
So, the K card.
Oh, that makes sense. Yeah, this was tied to the fountain thing in that maze, right?
Thank you.
Yeah, I barely remember what happened on the last one. I watched like a little bit at the end to try to understand what we're doing, but yeah, I knew we were in a maze. I'm assuming we got out of the maze. I remember we had to find some stuff in that maze and then now we're like probably trying to leave or something and we're caught in some market or back alleyway or something.
Yeah, I think we're trying to get out and then we run into some guards, I think.
Oh, we found the devil blade. That's I thought it was a sword. Yeah, I said to me I'm like I think we found some sword or something.
Um, so this goes back.
Yeah. And uh
while you're doing that, Minnie has a question as a legitimate question, not an illegitimate question. Okay.
Um how easy is it to get back into Malia? Any issue? Um sorry. An issue I have with long games is getting interrupted and struggling to get back into them. Well, we'll tell you after the stream.
Yeah, I I've this this exact moment has happened before. This exact situation has happened before where we've like been in the middle of a game. We left for like Gen Con or some reason. I don't even know. Um, the very first one I can think of that's happening was Gloom Haven. Um, we weren't playing it all on stream or anything. We were recording. I don't even think we're streaming at the time. It was just recordings
and we were playing episodes like off stream and stuff. uh not episodes, but we were just playing scenarios with friends, different party groups and stuff. And yeah, then we had to like we kept it all out the whole time and then we had to move and we had to pack up all board games and everything and move. And that was I remember getting back into it was like a little rough and then um but that was a long time ago. more recently, I don't remember what it was, but there have been a few games where like we just take an extended break and even if it's like all just sitting on a shelf or even on the table, I'll just come back and if it's like how how can I describe it's like that meme, you know, where the the dude's walking with his girlfriend holding a hand, he's like looking back at some other girl passing by.
That's what happens. It's literally like a distraction where now my attention's on something else. And that especially Gen Con or Origins or whatever convention, you know, you go to and there's publishers there showing new stuff. You're getting new games. Um, you're just seeing what's coming new and then it's like at home I got old and busted, but here's new hotness. You know,
you pointed at me when you said that.
And uh, yeah. So, it's just like this game is still awesome. I want to finish it, but I'm telling you, this is like a good thing for this game. This is like I may and complain about games all the time, including this one, cuz even my favorite games, they're not perfect. But one thing about this game, I want to finish it. Like, I've come back from Gen Con. I even bitched about it at Gen Con. Remember, we're sitting there with Stacy and I was like, one of my stresses I was talking about was like getting into campaign games and taking breaks from them. It's like I get back from Gen Con, one of the one of the cons of the con is I get back and I'm like, I want to just get into new stuff. I just want to play new stuff. I want to cut ties with everything I was playing before and just move on to new stuff. You just get that that like swept up in that excitement of, you know, thousand, tens of thousands of gamers all getting excited over different games, things coming soon, demos, things that are out, things that came out early. You know, you get to talk to your favorite publishers and designers and artists there and see them and what they're making and you're just like, "Cool. I want this. I want to go play it as soon as I get back." Like the whole drive home, I was thinking of like, "Oh, I want to crack that open. I want to play that again. Like, this we played at the con. This we saw at the con. I can't wait to play it when we get home. I can't wait till it arrives from my local game store, what I ordered."
And and it's like, then I come back and this is on the table. Um, and like I kept this on the table and just put the topper on top for us to do all of our other streams in between. But, um, yeah, that's a good thing for this game. Basically, is what I'm saying is that I want to continue cuz in past circumstances, I would come back. I maybe play this episode. And I even debated. I'm like, I know what I'm going to do. I'm going to come back. We'll play this one episode and we'll find a good part to stop and then I'll move on to those other games and maybe never come back. And that still could happen. But some games I'm like okay with that. this I don't want that to happen but I am struggling like I remember before we left that's why I was looking at how many books were left because I knew like we're going away for a while and like it's not just going away like where it's like you know you're watching a show reading a book playing a game and you go to work which is completely different you're doing completely different things different sides of your brain you're you're all in like a different world then you come back and you're like oh okay I continue where I left off nothing similar interrupted it. But the problem with going to like a board game convention and just being thrown other board games all up in your face. Um yeah, it gets distracting and it's it's tough.
Well, it's like trying to using the same analogy is trying to read three books at the same time that are all in the same like universe.
And it's not that bad because it's not like we went and like saw a bunch of similar dungeon crawly adventure RPG games. Well, I guess we did see some there, but
yeah.
Um I don't know. But we didn't like play them. we were playing different types of games at least.
Yeah.
Um but yeah, that's why I stopped doing multiple campaign games at the same time because it would just it would be a struggle and and I just I would want to cut some of them just to focus on one.
But uh yeah, I'm sure I'm like I'm explaining things to like I'm whatever, you know,
preaching to the choir. Preaching of the choir is anyone who has like a kax full or shelves or closets full of board games and you have a few campaign games. You know, the same thing happens like
No, but I think you're not actually because that's the problem is people would stop and then they just stop and they don't know how to get back in.
That's what the discussion is.
You are saying that we stopped and we are getting back into it.
Yeah. But it's tough.
But it's Yeah. I I'll be honest, like right now I'd rather be playing a different game, but then it's like I don't want to go more weeks
because then for sure this thing will just get put away in a box and never come back out.
Yeah.
So, I'm here playing this right now. Even though we're like playing other stuff off stream, we're learning games. We had Kyle over. We're playing games. We're getting ready for future streams, but I'm like, "Nope. I left this on the table on purpose so that I I had no chance of just leaving it in the box or leaving it on the shelf um for good." And it is kind of good that it's a game that we can play while we are learning these other games so that we don't have to take the like the time away and have nothing,
right? We can still play a game that we had in progress.
So, Ron is saying, "On your way to the inn, you see a dwarf you met previously in a minor tournament. He wants to take your blade." Okay, that let him have the blade.
That sounds super familiar.
Okay, perfect. Uh, okay. So, I set up this combat. I set up the map before the stream started.
I believe I pretty sure
not stealth. Okay,
I'm pretty sure like I I only like in the stream I was reading some story and then I read entry 183
and it doesn't say stealth or combat, right? It would say above it. I think you're in stealth mode, but maybe it was before.
No, it's fine. I think
but I would have to flip through this book to find where it jumped 23. And I think we're fine.
No, we're fine. It does say several Blackhand mercenaries spring out of their hiding places and charge at you as the Unal steps back. So obviously we're in a combat.
Yeah, I feel like
that's not stealth when they're all running at you.
We ran into What are you initiative wise? Uh seven
seven.
Okay, so I'm first.
So yeah, this will take a minute to get back in the flow of this.
And because of that, we're not playing with these, right?
Uh we can I thought of that actually. I was thinking of that when I was setting it up. is like, do we do this is like to make like these enemies are not the easier versions. Easier versions are on the back.
Okay.
But generally these are not the crazy guys that have magic and eight lines of attacks and crazy stuff. So like we could do it um just play like regular difficulty and give them the little tokens,
but uh there are six of them on the board in in a pretty tight space and there's a few things to interact with. um around the board over here, here, and here. Um
maybe we don't this battle and we see as we get our feet back into it.
Yeah, maybe
cuz I'm afraid that maybe we forget or make it harder for ourselves.
I feel like we passed the hard part already of this book. I feel like that whole maze thing was all like the beef.
And I feel like we're probably close to the end and like maybe a couple more little encounters
or exploration modes or whatever they call it. And then like yeah, we can find a good spot to stop for, you know, until the next stream.
Yeah. Okay. I'm
That's my plan.
Who is the worst of the worst? So, two and
I feel like you just isolate like get this guy, you know, like you'd move away from these guys. These guys are a little uh only move for four. Move. These guys obviously have infinite range, which is annoying.
But if you're in this room that you can't see past the wall here.
Yeah. So, if I go I can move for five. One, two.
Yeah. You don't want to like What I'm thinking is you go at these guys or this guy and then you just get surrounded and you're getting shot and like
like let let them work towards us a bit maybe and then we can like funnel them. I don't know. That's that's I think what I would do.
Nope. I agree with that. Uh okay. So that was my movement. Then I have I will spend all six. This guy is a blade. He has seven health. Okay.
Don't forget any new abilities we have. We probably leveled up recently, too, I think.
Yeah, that's on defense. Oh, I negate one of his shields if he rolls one. That doesn't matter. That doesn't matter. My black D. Okay. And that doesn't matter. Okay. So, the only one that will matter right now is that it on the red if I roll the red symbol. Uh, I'll negate a shield if he rolls one with his blue dice. Okay. I'm going to spend all six on this guy. Rolling two red dice. I don't think I want to put an aura into this. I think I'm hoping hoping for one red shield and I will kill him. I think
I'm assuming the guy who stepped back will have a showdown with him maybe after this too. I would I would assume if he was trying to steal the blade from us and then he stepped back while his goons like came out cuz these are all just regular goons.
Yeah.
So [snorts] it might might do something when we read I'm going to guess that like all of a sudden it might spawn something more serious but
like a boss.
So yeah, don't just go.
Yeah. use all my stuff on the on this. Okay, we did not get we did not get a symbol, but that's okay. So, we rolled four. He is going to roll two blue defense dice. We didn't get a symbol to negate any shields. So, oh my gosh, he's going to get three. There's nothing else that I have. I do one damage. Okay,
nice.
That was a big waste. Maybe I should have put the order.
Okay, so
yeah, I'm like if I don't move, I can get my bonus on range, but then I get stuck there getting a beating.
Sorry, where
where I am?
Oh, yeah,
if I don't move. But it's like I could switch my weapon. Just run at this guy in there. Like
Yeah, we could funnel.
One, two, three, four. That guy can get me if I kill that guy. This guy can get me. These guys will shoot me.
Yeah, you'll just not get hit by the second ar shield guy. Okay, I'm going to go one, two, three, four,
and maybe just range attack him, not switch my weapons.
Yeah, cuz maybe you don't need the bonus if you roll. Um, [snorts] so I mean I might as well just do all of it. Actually going to roll extra black. He won't be attacking me.
Nope.
So
you shouldn't get that.
Oh, I would have been in Oh, no. Yeah. How does that work if um I step in your spot and I'm adjacent so I would be engaged. But
but I don't think you can.
I don't think Yeah, that doesn't make sense, right? I should be able to move through you and not get locked.
Yeah, I mean risk. Yeah.
Yeah. Okay. I think that's fine. I probably answered my own question there. Okay. Uh, so yeah, let's just spend all of it and I'll roll. Yeah, let's just roll the two dice.
Okay, you got one and a symbol.
So, two, three, four, and you can't roll black dice. And
he doesn't roll blue.
Oh, yeah. He doesn't roll blue. So, it's all all in.
So, he's at five out of seven.
We'll get you next time. Okay.
Okay. Their turn. Uh, so he's going to go first as the blade.
Don't archers go first.
No. Five, four, three.
Oh, okay.
Uh, so he's going to attack me with two red dice. I'm not going to put an aura in. Oh my gosh. You got four. I roll it. Doesn't have right. One red or one blue, one black. I got three. Um, four. Okay, perfect.
One, two, three, four. He gets you.
Oh, sorry. He had one more. Um, I didn't have that symbol. Didn't have that.
Okay, this guy is going to roll. He's got one, two, three.
And you don't roll any defense.
I don't roll any defense.
So, it just hits you for whatever you said.
Three.
Oh, except for this one. Two is on that. Great.
Thank you. Yes, two. Okay.
Uh who's next?
Who's next? The archer.
Okay, they can move for four.
One, two, three, four. Uh, okay.
I think I'm behind the wall.
Yeah, I'll just move this way. Okay, these guys. One, two, three, four. Okay.
Okay, back around to us. I'm first. Do I attack the guy that's already hit and then you range through me? Like I'll move or something.
Yeah, if you move not adjacent to him, then I don't get penalized. But I'm assuming I can't hit him because my corner of my hex, the corner of his hex is like blocked cuz it's on the corner of a wall.
So, is it better for me to hit that guy?
Uh, yeah. That sucks. I wish I was in like a better spot, but I don't think there is a better spot. Like a straight line or something. Um, so yeah, I don't know. Probably better start working on the next guy, but I could just move and do a regular boring shot on this guy, but then that's just he's not dead either, so it's like kind of the same thing.
Yeah, I might put an aura in on this.
Yeah, might go. Nice.
Okay, I'll attack the new new guy for all six. I'll spend an aura so I roll three dice because potentially if I can kill him that would be better.
Yep. Yep.
We need to roll symbol for that to happen. Okay, I think we might have this. So he doesn't roll any blues.
Okay, so he rolls nothing.
Good. He rolls nothing. So this is 1 2 3 4 5 six and then the aura is seven. So he's dead.
Your turn.
Uh I'll just fire on this guy. I roll me two red dice spending all six.
Okay. Four.
Uh, and then plus my st has five. Nine.
Nine. He rolls two blue.
No, he rolls no blues.
Oh, you don't need a symbol for that. Sorry. Yep. So, he's dead. I thought you needed a roll symbol for that.
Nope.
Okay. Oops. Sorry. Um,
I mean, maybe I don't care about my bonus and I just move now.
Yeah, cuz you don't need it.
So, I'm in like a better spot. Maybe I'll just move on to this thing.
Oh, see what it is.
Uh, yeah, because I didn't do any move. So, I use free movement after attacking, right?
Mhm.
124. Uh, there's a stack of crates. They have already been emptied and so contain nothing of interest. Discard the interest token. Useless.
Love that they do that in this game.
Now I'm like in line of sight for the range guys. So maybe I can shoot them while you work on the melees.
These guys are dead. That's helpful. One less card to worry about. Okay. Um so then ranges are first. They don't need to move, right? Cuz you can see right through.
Oh yeah, they can get me now.
Okay. So he's going to roll two red dice. the first one.
He's going to actually hit you for just the uh shock, but you have a defense.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah. He's just going to roll the black dice with this. Okay. So, then the second guy
Yeah, I could roll black, too, but I don't care.
Oh, no.
Oh, no. He the symbol. I see. I see. I see.
Okay. Then the second guy, he is hitting you for one in a shock. He says you can't roll one black dye, but you get a second black dye cuz he's shooting through his friend.
No.
Right. No,
you would only get an extra back if he had an ally adjacent to me.
Okay. So, you can
I'll just take a shock.
Okay. Uh and then these guys are going to move towards me. Okay. Heroes of red and yellow.
So, I just moved them both together.
But the first guy
that just do one like it doesn't matter. One at a time. Whatever.
Actually, might make a difference cuz I think he might push me.
Oh, yeah. True. Oh, no. That's reach. Sorry, that's reach. So, it won't matter.
But just remember the out number is not on the first attack. I'm only on the second.
I'm just being lazy.
Okay, I'm going to roll before I do this in case he doesn't say I negate any dice. So, I roll a blue and a black. I got four shields plus this one. So, three. And I can block. So, there was something I'm remembering from before we left. If I overdefend, I don't have to take the negative effect.
Yeah, I think so. As long as
he's blocking for four, five, he's hitting me for three. So, I have an extra two shields to block this negative effect of losing my
Oh, okay. Yeah, I think that's right.
Perfect. Then the second guy. Correct. Okay, perfect. Thank you. Thank you.
Got us. Thank you.
Trying to make sure I remember this.
Yeah, it sounds right. It definitely sounds right.
Okay, then this one we're rolling the same. The yellow doesn't do anything, which is good. Okay, I got no defense. Um, he's hitting for one plus outnumbers two. I block one. I take one damage. Okay, back around to us. Well, I will hit the farther one. So, I'll attack that guy. Do I spend an aura? These guys are eight health. Roll, blue, and a black. Spin all six.
Did these guys not?
Yeah, they went
Oh, they shot at me. That's right.
They didn't need to move. No.
Okay, I'll spend an aura. We'll roll three. I'm attacking the farther guy. Okay, we got three symbols. So, they don't roll any dice. Each one of these is one, two, three, four. So, we got two is enough to kill them. Tell to kill this guy. Okay, your turn.
Uh, I will just These guys have eight. Oh, no. Six health. Um, yeah, just roll two dice. Uh, two reds. And I'll just, uh, spend all six. No, actually, [snorts] I'll spend five. I'll pick. No, all six.
All right. You got a symbol in one. one, two, three, four.
As long as you negate his black die, then you're good.
Uh, yep, that happens twice. Yeah.
Okay, so he's dead.
Well, I thought I also hit for like 100, but
Well, I mean, you don't need it, so if you did want to move out of range,
no, it's okay.
Okay. Okay, then it's the archer. He's gonna hit you back.
Yep.
Two red dice.
Uh,
I'm not allowed to roll black.
Not allowed to roll black. Take another shot. Okay. Plus this one. And you block that one.
I blocked that one with this.
Okay. Then this one is attacking me for a red and a yellow. He doesn't need to move. He attacks for one. I roll these for defense. And I block two, so I'm good. Okay.
Okay. Your attack on him.
Need to do that. Spend all six. We're not going to use an aura. We're just going to roll two two red. All right. We got two symbols which block his blue and black. This is eight. One, two, three, four each. So, he's dead. I just need the symbols or else I can't fight these guys.
Yeah. Just roll me two reds. I'll shoot this guy. three plus five.
Uh, he rolls a black.
Yep. Roll black.
Okay.
Oh, blocked it all. Dang it. Okay. So, do you want to move or no?
He's going to then attack you for two red. Oops. So, one and two. So, total of three. Oops. I don't want that.
So, I roll black.
Roll black. You block it. Nice.
Okay, my turn. I don't think
two can play that game.
I don't think I can get there. One, two, three, four, five. One, two. Okay, I got to spend two actions to get there. But then I can still spend four. One, two, three, four. Oh, wait. Yeah, I can spend four just for my base hit of two red dice. Unless I'm Am I a [snorts] problem being there? It
just gives him extra black dye. But if I get a symbol, I can negate two anyway,
so it doesn't matter. Doesn't matter. Okay. All right, we block his black. So, this is four, five, six. Oh, he's dead.
Boom.
Got him.
Okay, so I'm going to read 40, which is if there's no enemies on the board. Let's see what happens. You picked off the man of the black hand. You pick off the men of the black hand one by one, and they are no match for you. Phil Wool. Phil Wool Bleck, who has been skullking around the background, realizes that you'll be keeping a tight grip on the blade of devotion that his sponsors so desire. He vanishes from the alley in a puff of smoke, clearly an advanced rogu's trick. Once you have defeated your foes, you find yourself alone in the alley with the precious blade of devotion still in your possession. Nothing is going to get the better of you. Not after all the trials you faced. After searching the bodies of your attackers, you return to the inn to tend to your wounds, but you'll make sure you stay on your guard in case that dirty traitor of a dwarf reappears. Each hero draws two action cards to search the mercenary's belongings.
Uh, that's these ones. We get two purple keys. We can just hold one.
Okay. Uh, four gold and then one red, green, and blue plant.
Red, green, and blue.
Yeah, but we can only hold one. So, just like
throw away your divvy up. I don't know what the colors were for red potions, but that's what you care about.
Yeah.
Well, can't we?
Or you can craft one.
Red potion. This is a red potion right here.
Okay. Just get a red potion. If we can even hold a potion.
Yeah, I can hold.
Okay. Get a red potion. There you go.
Okay. Uh, and then we get full healing, but only three aura token flips.
Perfect. I only need two.
Okay, then we go to 146. The next day, settled into your comfortable armchairs in your accommodation, which has been which has been specially reserved for tournament participants, you enjoy a hot drink as you gaze toward the horizon through your window. After almost an hour has passed, you see an immense column of green light, which must be visible for miles around, shoot up from the ground to strike to to the skies above. There is no doubt in your mind that something terrible is at work, and you realize that these few moments of peace in this cozy room will be the last for a long time. When you open the door to your room, you see the innown gear you requested is waiting for you in the main room. You gather your belongings and go downstairs to pack up your new equipment which the town has given you by way of thanks for participating in the tournament. If you checked off 23
n
uh otherwise go to eight. Each hero gains a level.
Oh nice.
Uh yeah like two more levels and maxed on this stuff. So, we must be getting close to not leveling anymore. Um, so blue or red?
Red gives me one more health point. Blue gives me a backpack space. Sure, let's go blue. Let's get more intelligence. We could always use more intelligence. Go more backpack space.
Both give me exactly the same thing. Either an aura or an aura. So, we'll take
do whatever you think you need for tests or weapons or whatever.
Same you're at. So, we'll take a dexterity gaining an aura. Do you need something from me or you
what? What do you mean?
Here's your bonus.
Uh, it's just my extra backpack.
Sorry, I didn't hear that.
Uh, okay. Each hero takes a yellow and red potion. But,
um,
here, I'll just get rid of a yellow. Give me a red.
Oh, yeah. Okay. I guess I'll do
you do the same. Yeah. Yeah. Let's juice up on the red potions.
Why do I have a green? Oh, yeah. That's the That's the one in case we're desperate. Um, discard scenario card 33, which might be on the map.
Yep.
Uh, discard all possible crystals from the timeline that are marking our days.
Okay, we have two.
Discard all possible scenario tokens, all 300 of them we have here.
Okay.
Each hero chooses any one of the following. You may immediately pass equipment to other group members as you see fit. Well, we always do that anyway, but um so you could take one special arrow cube of each type and a common item or three lockpick cubes or one plant of each type or one raw material cube of each type.
No, I think it's arrows, right? Cuz
I'm going to do the arrows.
Can I use arrows if I'm not ranged?
No. Oh, you have a range weapon. You can use them with that.
Okay. Okay. Or I can just hold them and then trade them.
Okay.
I have a red, green, and yellow cube, please. And I'll take a common item, which goes right into my third new fresh backpack slot.
Okay. I'm going to do the same. I'm going to take a red, green, and yellow. And then I'll just hold them for you.
Whatever. Yeah, like you could take potions and just like swap out. Oh, you already have all reds.
Yeah, I'm all full. Unless Yeah, unless
No, it's
No, no, no. I could take I could take a red one.
So, you get a common also. It doesn't matter. Who cares?
I don't space for that. Oh, you have Oh, no. You don't. Not anymore. I don't think. No, I don't want that one.
Yeah. Yeah. Well, so is this. But I'll take that one. Okay. Uh, after thanking the in owner once more for his kindness, you get moving again, ready to fight the forces of evil that are behind the strange column of light. If you need to, you can visit the temple nearby to change your spells. spells. Who plays with spells? We don't play with spells. Uh, each hero with at least one spell may discard one, then draw one to replace it. Intuitively, you get a sense that the Titan will also be heading towards this immense source of energy, which seems to be rising from near Estoia. Your instincts tell you that he mustn't get there before you.
Without waiting any longer, you dash out of town and take the road winding through the hills to the north of Agarans. Open the first page of the booklet, that which should not have been discovered, and return this booklet to the box. I thought today might be a shorter stream, but not that short. That's crazy. But I am going to stop there, I think. I don't know. I don't think we should start a new one. Um Oh, shoot.
What? Thou shalt not be dis
something. Yeah, I just want to get the book out.
We did it. Exactly.
Yeah, that we should have just finished that last episode. I'm so bad. But I think we're going I think we're going for a long time. Probably that's why.
Yeah,
I think that maze wore me out. And that maze we even I remember we even shortcutting in the maze to just like not set up rooms over and over again. So like we made that even shorter, but it felt like it was so long.
Um
whatever one is the not be discovered or
Oh, I found it. Uh that which should not have been discovered.
Okay.
Focus camera
underwater. Oh, there's Sauron's Sauron's uh or no sa Saurromon's uh tower, right?
Mhm.
The white wizard. Some swimming is involved. This evil guy is involved.
We're going to go underwater.
Some some stuff there.
That looks like a ritual is being performed.
Yeah. So, again, we have to rush. Like I don't [clears throat] know. Like we already went back to our home base before, so we did some stuff.
Yeah. I don't know that we want it. Nothing else that we need to do there, I don't think.
But there's still this aspect of the game that we have not done and I don't know if it's ever mandatory or if it's all optional is the dungeon stuff.
Oh yeah, there was a couple times where we had the option.
Yeah, I know. I was glancing in the rule book and I was like that popped out to me and I was like, "Oh yeah, dungeons." Like I know we've been getting the options to do it in that middle place on the on the map.
Mhm.
But uh I thought by now they would have like forced us into that mechanic to show us that mechanic. Well, they did force us. We did do We did do one maybe two dungeons total, but they weren't the Yeah, they weren't the
found dungeons. It was like you said, the forest dungeons. We did have one cuz remember we use that little card.
Oh, we did do it. Okay. For the crystals.
Oh, okay. I forgot about that. Yeah, you
once. Maybe twice. We've done it.
Yeah. Okay. I do remember that little tile and you slide the card under. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. I remember that. Never mind. My Yeah, my memory. Woo. Okay. Sweet. All righty. So, yeah, I know that wasn't the longest stream, but I think we are going to wrap it up there. I just want to stop where a book ends and then when we pick up next episode, we can start fresh and with a longer time to like tell you, we only had a couple hours, but we're going to pause it. I just think it's better that way. And uh yeah, that which should not have been discovered. Pineapple pizza. No, that's amazing.
Mhm.
Um yeah, thanks Minion for tuning in.
That's I don't know if the shortest stream ever on record for this channel, but maybe. Um but yeah, it's awkward when you don't know like when a chapter is going to end or not or when a book's going to end or when to save, but it just felt like after we got out of that maze, it was the right time before we got into another scenario. But yes, thank you all for watching. Uh stay tuned to the channel. We'll definitely play more Malia. Um I'm assuming like next week, but maybe the week after. And uh we've had rants longer than this. I agree. I agree 100%.
That's true. That's true. This is just like a little teaser.
It's like 30 minutes. Um but yeah, so we wrapped up that book. I feel good stopping here. It feels weird, but it feels good. So uh we're going to stop there and we'll continue in the next episode uh with a fresh book. And uh yeah, stay tuned for other games and things on the channel as usual. And uh thanks for watching. and we'll see you in the next one. Bye-bye.
