Mechanics (from transcript analysis)
  • action tokens — You will now have action tokens that are double-sided. One side will be empty and the other side full. And each player takes six of those. And this will help to keep track of the available actions as you'll be using them and gaining more.
  • Deck Building — This is the first full-size expansion for their deck builder and tableau builder game.
  • Passive abilities — Some potions have a passive ability shown on its card. These potions are not played, but when the condition is met, then you can perform the listed action. These potions will ignore the rule of play once per turn as they can be triggered multiple times if the conditions are met.
  • Set Collection — To create one of these, you will buy one of the flasks shown on this board. And then you will use three matching chemicals and three coins and that eternal flask to make an eternal chemical.
  • solo mode — If you play the game solo, there are more choices where you can play the game with very easy mode up to a hard mode in addition to the easy and medium difficulty that the base game offers.
  • Tableau Building — This is the first full-size expansion for their deck builder and tableau builder game.
  • Toxin Trackers — There are four new toxin tracker boards with nine new to toxin cubes included. Each tracker functions differently and adds new twists to the game.
  • Variable player powers — Specialty flasks let you do more than just potions. These are placed from left to right with its price with the pipet first, the storage flask next, and the universal flask last. All three of these are table cards. The pipet let you gain a single chemical and add it directly to your hand. The storage flask lets you tuck a chemical card under the flask or move all stored chemicals under it back into your hand. And the universal flask can be used to make any standard potion from level two to level seven.

  • Hey there again, Board Game Brody here with Let's Table It, where we get games to the table like this one right here, Chemical Overload Entropy by Rebirth Games.
  • I'm not going to go over the base game. You can check out my other video that explains how to play it. But instead, I will explain just what this expansion here adds.
  • So, what's new? Well, remember how you have two actions per turn? Well, you will now have action tokens that are double-sided.
  • The base game, when someone takes a toxic potion, you will move the toxin cube up one space, but also now with entropy, you will take a reward if one is listed.
  • Just like the base game, when someone takes a toxic potion, you will move the toxin cube up one space, but also now with entropy, you will take a reward if one is listed.
  • My favorite one is probably going to be that red toxin tracker.
  • Ultimately with more cards, different trackboards, and adding in different uh sets to add in a variety will help you, you know, so the game doesn't go stale on you within the, you know, a whole bunch of different ways and mixtures.
  • Making for a different experience each and every time you play this game.
  • Again, this is Brody with Let's Table It, where we get games to the table like this one, Chemical Overload Entropy by Rebirth Games.
