Flames of War is a World War II tabletop game where you use armies represented by painted miniature tanks, soldiers, artillery, and aircraft against another similar opponent's force.
To begin all you need is the Flames of War book/rules and a starting force of miniatures depending on what type of army you want to collect.
The game uses 15mm scale (around 1:100) miniatures, allowing miniatures from other manufacturers to be used. The game aspires to provide a good balance between playability and simulation and has a typical game running under 2 hours.
The Second Edition Rulebook launched in August 2006, took a lot of advice from the players and integrated a lot of the FAQ material previously written to cover First Edition.

- I think that they're very much stuck in this situation where they're like things are going well somehow inexplicably and so let's continue doing it even though there may be some writing on the wall that reducing model count would maybe get more people into the hobby which could then end up being better
- there's no benefit that's the problem with tech these days is that they're like trying to figure out how to it's like they learned how to do a thing and now they're trying to shoehorn it into stuff to make it a product
- If I could get AI to clean the toilet that'd be great
- I think machine learning AI where it's like doing a thing that saves you a whole bunch of time that's what I that's what I want more of that less of the other thing less of the the um what is it the um when you take somebody else's writing plagiarism less of the plagiarism machine and a little bit more of the saving me time machine that'd be great
- the way that you roll can be kind of also modified depending as well and then that'll tell you basically you need a seven Up is basically the case in most situations but there can be modifications and tweaks and things like that
- The the vending Hall was it was a nice space but it wasn't anywhere it was in like a kind of an odd spot and people weren't coming through much cuz they didn't sort of know where it was

- I don't use AI for artistic Creations I just don't even like the amount of power and energy that that takes personally
- you think GW needs to rescale the amount of models in 40K especially with the focus on competitive events
- it's unlikely that any of our titles would start losing money necessarily but we've been getting a certain amount of profit which pays for our ability to get artists and do all that kind of stuff that will dwindle drastically
- I don't know it's a good question I'm glad I don't have to make the decisions over there

- The dark forces need 10 points to win, and the free peoples either destroy the ring or they get four points.
- The base game alone is still an utterly fantastic game.
- It's completely random.
- It's a very highly asymmetric game and it's you know, the the way you learn it is here's a rulebook each and you also get your own faction rulebook. You need to read it.
