Description

Welcome to the world of Pro Wrestling! You must win at any cost or face the wrath of your sponsors. This year there are six new wrestlers debuting, so go out and win some matches!

Over the four seasons of maskmen, whoever has won the most points is the winner. In a round, players can play cards or pass on their turn. Players play 1-3 cards on their turn of the same type of wrestler (that hasn't already been played), to help resolve the strength of the wrestler. The faster you get rid of your cards, the better your chances of winning. As soon as you rid your cards you get to take the highest point token available, then the next player to go out gets the next token. Once there is only one player remaining, the round ends and that player gets the -1 token.

  • So, we're going to learn some of the tricks, some of the secrets, some of the perhaps little skills of playing this game well that you may not have picked up um as you've been learning the game.
  • It's not always as straightforward.
  • Always look for opportunities to exploit the idea of overpaying.
  • Reveal effects are some of the most powerful effects in the game.
  • One of the hardest things to do in Decas is defeat a white guardian.
  • So, creating guardians to get sparks back in the supply if you're facing something like spider, which is probably the first time you might think about doing this.
  • Magnetic pulse is a really neat card.
  • Once you've played your first game and you're familiar with the rules, have a look through the appendices.
  • So, when you're setting up, setting up in this game is part of the game.

Quotes (from this video)
  • This was a very difficult month because I went to Circle DC in Washington DC where I got a chance to play board games for 3 days.
  • Masher feels like in particular for for me, Masher is where this really comes together.
  • It's so much fun just learning into this game because everything you're trying to do is so well integrated into the theme of the game.
  • Such a brilliant game, too.
  • April was by far the best gaming month I've had so far this year.
  • Those experiences are so hard to orchestrate in our day-to-day lives when we get busy with work and and places and time and moving around and just so many other commitments.
  • Masher. This is the Recon Series game number three in Voc's Recon Series about the Vietnam War, 1966.
  • And why was this the easy choice for this month?
  • I don't think I've had a game that's I've had so much historical enjoyment being frustrated.
  • This is the I mean this is exactly what I would expect to feel as I was playing the US side in this conflict
  • So when I was done with it, you know, you you have this battle set up and you think, "Okay, we got them." And and then the battle happens and you can't find any casualties. You're like, "Well, where did they all go?"
  • That little pieces of cardboard and a board could create that type of intellectual challenge and emotional experience. That was special.
  • If you have enjoyed this video and you maybe you are new to board war games, you might enjoy this other video uh, best beginner war games.
