Quotes (from this video)
  • it's not that I wouldn't play more stuff you know if something's really cool and interesting sure why not but my laptop on camera by the way the uh uh probably that blocks it a little bit it's a little bit but it's fine it's fine you guys don't mind
  • if if she ever ends up over this way on the East Coast love to have her on for sure
  • I just don't I would say right now I don't have anything like planned specifically
  • I've been a little self-conscious about the space that I shoot in and having guests
  • Oh yes because I feel like the the illusion would be shattered for them
  • well Landon um thanks for the question I I guess I started initially just because I I I enjoyed watching other people who created YouTube videos especially around board games and I wanted to do something like that but I wanted to do something different than what was being done already
  • and this is again as I've said famously before this was before tabletop so everyone thinks a tabletop right but this was before that even existed
  • I have not played I didn't know you had the copy but I oh no I did I remember seeing it but I have not either
  • I do have a publisher at one point want to come actually to they were going to fly down to the watching PL Studios to actually teach us a game so that we could feature it on the channel
  • I felt like that wasn't going to be good because yeah you could teach it to me but unless you're willing to fly to everyone who buys a copy of this game I'm having a I have a really weird unfair advantage
  • My Hope Is that with the videos it is yeah it's a compliment to the rule book so that you can watch this and go I wasn't getting it the rule book I see it now I get it
  • Pete good friend Pete good friend of the show as well I self serving question self-serving I'm sure that seon's curious though about that too
  • I I think on the strength of blood rage which was a real hit for them knowing this is coming from the same designer and seon is kind of pushing it and promoting it as a spiritual successor to blood rage I think it has the potential for sure
  • well I recently updated my inventory and I believe on B you can H to your collection right
  • you know what I mean like if kep takes on more of the editing stuff and and I can continue to do some of the shooting but also doing his own shooting as well
  • well you answer I've been talking a lot oh no I do answer but I'll let you go
  • normally I try to run a fairly serious game and I said you know what let's try to be a little more silly and not be quite as serious it ended up being very serious as the game went on anyway
  • This is where my favorite experience was okay so normally they were going through things one at a time they went through two different of the scenarios one at a time yeah and then they said okay what we need to do now is we need to scout ahead
  • so the two of them pop into this location one of them's literally blind the other one like suddenly lost half of their powers and they have no way to contact the rest of the party great Scouts
  • we did it over Skype and I had a marvelous time I had such a good time it was really fun it made me go oh this is role playing so great
  • I actually contracted somebody to create an art print of that game that we played together featuring us as our characters in like this sort of action set piece
  • well listen if you had any questions about anything you saw there feel free to put them in the comments below and I'll gladly answer them as soon as I get a chance
  • yeah we really are going to get very polished with these things as they go on I someday someday we can make jokes about you know how rough some things are
  • I find that with Cooperative games you you tend to get at least one or two players kind of as the game dies down just have less interest or or less invested in it
  • This is what they call I think roll and right games
  • if you're looking to start and you don't know exactly who all your players are going to be you're going to invite people over for the first time my biggest tip is to is to pick games that are going to be light friendly kind of games
  • The quickest thing to kill the group is to have everyone show up drop Scythe on the table or Twilight Imperium or Twilight Imperium or something like that and then everyone's like I think video games are much more peeling
  • I I do wake up feeling like I have a knife in my back almost every day even when we're not playing games
  • I have a very difficult time playing Dark playing Sinister because I I do kind of like I I I want to be the hero of the story
  • and so I try to I someone damel in distress I try to go save it someone needs the the rats cleared out their Cellar I'll go do it you know like I just it feels like that's who I want to be ultimately in the game and I suppose ultimately in life
  • I don't think it's an acceptable risk you know and so I I I don't play either good or evil
  • well listen guys uh thanks again for joining us for another live show this has been a lot of fun it's been crazy
  • I'd love to do a convention here at some point like a small convention
  • beaches um just the scenery is just lovely
  • so the box of Neapolitan ice cream had specifically like a column of of chocolate um vanilla and strawberry and Christ's like what do you want and you were like I I like give me the strawberry and I'm like I like the chocolate
  • well yeah yeah no that happened there's more to this exciting thrilling story yeah there was just time on the live show telling a story about scooping ice cream I'm so sorry everybody
  • you know I I I see for the foreseeable future anyway like I think as long as Luke's in school um then we'll definitely stay here
  • oh I I I see these games I get excited about them and then I go okay what do I have to work on this week
