Description
A group of heroes battle to the last — can you survive?
The Last Brave comes with two rule sets, one that's a team game with a focus on hidden identities and the other that's a battle royale with more focus on combat. In both games, the core rules are largely the same: You are a champion who must fight for your nation and defeat all of your opponents. Each champion has three attributes: a class, an element, and a type of arms, all imbued with incredible power. When one champion is attacked by another, the damage they take exposes the nature of their attributes, revealing the weakened champion's true form to the other players. However, once these attributes have been revealed, the champion who wields them can start to benefit from their abilities.
In order to win, you have to reveal the right card at the right time while not giving your opponents the opportunity to do the same. In the team match you also have to figure out who your allies are before the other teams do. Be the last one standing — or the only team still in the game — to win.

- Social Deduction — It looks like quick simple fun with social deduction elements where you're trying to find out who else is actually on your team.

Quotes (from this video)
- i feel as though while this isn't aimed at me this really could be one of those games that grows the hobby and because of that i'm more for it
- but i'm excited about it and i really think it's gonna be one to look out for
- it looks absolutely awesome and it's slated for october
- and i'm very excited about it for that reason and it's coming later this year
- as soon as possible please it's meant to be coming out at the end of the year but we don't know whether it's going to be on ios or on android or both please be on both just do that please come on i believe in your wizards
- but seriously this is a prop phone it should not be ringing at all it's not real i took the wires out it's literally turned to off
- my guess is haunted that's what i'm gonna say or maybe paul is a ghost or both

Pros
- Two playable modes (Battle Royale and Allied combat) provide variety.
- Rich interactions with many card abilities and equipment bets.
- Allied combat variant adds team-based strategy and faction loyalty.
- Fast round length (~10 minutes) supports quick play sessions.
- Clear rule explanations and in-game references support learning.
Cons
- Rule complexity and large number of ability types can be intimidating for new players.
- If players are unfamiliar with the Conspirator or faction mechanics, learning curve increases.
- Some interactions rely on precise card positioning and timing (fatigue, reveal zones, etc.).
Thematic elements
- Heroic class-based combat with elemental and equipment synergies.
- Fantasy arena-style battles where Brave Champions duel until one remains.
- Rule-forward, explainer with emphasis on action sequence

Mechanics (from transcript analysis)
- Allied combat variant — Optional variant adds faction loyalty; teams win if their faction leaders are the last surviving leaders and other factions are defeated.
- Attack and power calculation — Base attack power starts at 1; total power is affected by revealed secret skills and class cards.
- Combat: Damage Based — Defender may reveal cards to defend, move cards to the damage zone, and apply defensive effects that alter damage.
- Defense and damage resolution — Defender may reveal cards to defend, move cards to the damage zone, and apply defensive effects that alter damage.
- End Game Bonuses — Win conditions include eliminating opponents for points and being last player standing, or a point-based variant up to a target.
- Endgame scoring and victory — Win conditions include eliminating opponents for points and being last player standing, or a point-based variant up to a target.
- Fatigue and resource cycling — Some cards have fatigue states; fatigue cards rotate sideways and may nullify or revive abilities, limiting reuse.
- Forfeit and forced-play dynamics — Forfeit allows turning a card face down to use its ability; it can require rotating or replacing cards in play.
- Hidden Roles — Allied combat can include The Conspirator to add trickery and deception at game start.
- Hidden roles and conspirators — Allied combat can include The Conspirator to add trickery and deception at game start.
- Lose a Turn — Forfeit allows turning a card face down to use its ability; it can require rotating or replacing cards in play.
- Reclaim as Action — Recover lets you return a card from the field to its owner's hand, enabling strategic reuse.
- Recovery and redeployment — Recover lets you return a card from the field to its owner's hand, enabling strategic reuse.
- Reflect and negation gates — Reflect returns remaining damage to the attacker; negate/gate effects can stop certain defenses or abilities.
- Scatter and multi-target interactions — Scatter shots can affect multiple targets; power and hits are resolved for each target separately.
- Secret skills and auras — Players can flip their character card to reveal a secret skill that can modify power, damage, or provide special effects.
- Target Selection — Attacker must choose a target, typically the player with the most cards in hand (excluding themselves).
