Quotes (from this video)
- And so my plan for the Saturday that I went uh was obviously to start with the Think Athema and Emily from Shut Up and Sit Down uh Love Languages panel and then kind of I guess just discover what else would lie ahead after that uh panel finished.
- It was really good to look at modern board game mechanics and themes through the lens of the five love languages, but also through the perspective of Emily, Maggie, and Amy, which I loved.
- There was so many different games being laid out on the table that people were playing. And along the perimeter, there were different uh Aussie and New Zealand publishers.
- So, basically a lot of uh Quacer's games are basically centered around a uh Asian culture, Asian practices, but with a very like Australian infused theme around it.
- It wasn't really about winning or losing. It was more about the philosophy behind helping other people, offering, you know, your services and your um love for gaming and helping other people to become better and more confident in themselves.
- I really, really love this game. This is one of those games which I would say is a breadand butter gateway game. If you love Azul, this is definitely next level up.
- It just has such an interesting playtoplay dynamic.
- And so it's basically drafting marbles at different stages. And so when you release the gate, some of the marbles will come down.
- And I think at the end of PlayCon, I think that's what I felt. Just this immense sense of joy and happiness, the amount of laughter
- And I think I was more looking for Majesty of the Realm. But then when I saw this box in real life, I was like, it's gold embossed. It's got this stained glass effect. I was like, I think I must get this game.
- And the last game that I got is one where everyone says the board looks not very impressive. In fact, the table presence of this game is like not really desirable because it's basically looked like someone just got like an Excel spreadsheet or a word document or PowerPoint, clicked on the shapes and just made it into a game board.
- But it's a Freedman Priest game called FAM. And basically this Egyptian themed game has an interesting card usage mechanic.
- This is one I haven't played, but I'm definitely really super keen to try.
- Mainly because if they just based on athetics alone, they will probably no one will ever play this with me.

- The Crew Mission Deep Sea. the crew uh and the crew search plan 9 was one of the first like it was the first co-op trick you're taking ever played I think and deep sea is better because the goals you get are v more varied
- It takes like a dummy player to a whole new level.
- So, the reason The Crew is not on my list is because they kind of share this spot. So, you can say I've made a top 11 and the crew is you're my number two and this is my number one. But they're they are different.
- It's a fantastic game. You follow the Lord of the Rings story and there's going to be two more boxes.
- James is the one who is editing all our videos. So thank you so much for that. doing a fantastic job. H these videos wouldn't be as good without James. So, please leave a comment saying hi to James and thanks for the the work.

- This is just my opinion, right? Yours may very well differ, so let me know in the comments what you think about the games that I will be talking about today.
- It's possible that I will rank a game differently next month.
- So usually my rankings seem to be a little bit more on the more positive side.
- It's not really a game. It's more like an activity, so I would give it a good C.
- This is an amazing small box cooperative game where you like play cooperative poker.
- I urge you if you play this, you should play real time.
- Um it works turn-based, but it's much better real time and it's even better when you speak with a few people with people somehow.
- It's like really great in person, right?
- Wingspan is a number one game.
- It's a good social deduction game that is a kind of um that is like paired with Who Am I?
- Similar to a fake artist goes to New York, just with words instead of drawing.
- It's a very solid game.
