- Anacrony is a cooperative game for one to four players. So it's a cooperative game where you're working together to stop that end game timer.
- You're constantly making choices about how you're gonna spend your next X turns, and you've got to have enough resources.
- You've got to plan for months ahead. You've got to plan how you're gonna spend your next X turns.
- This is a really good cooperative game. I've played it a couple of times.
- It's a very thinky game. So you've got all these different tracks and your different workers and your different ways to score points.

Mechanics (from transcript analysis)
- Active turn structure — The stormcast side activates models one at a time, each with up to two actions per model; must fully activate a model before the next.
- campaign rules — Campaign game places tiles differently and uses an expanded set of rules, including stacked tiles and additional stormcast tiles.
- combat and casualties — Attack resolves with a number of dice equal to the model's attack value; symbols cause consequences such as moving a model or applying damage tokens. Stormcast death removes models permanently while chainrasp re-enter later.
- Deck/power cards — Each player draws three power cards from their own deck at setup and may play up to one during a round, resolving abilities when played.
- Phase-based round structure — Rounds consist of five phases: adding tiles, stormcast activation, removing tiles, chainrasp reinforcements, and chainrasp activation.
- Reinforcements and spawns — Chainrasp reinforcements spawn on open tile ends and soul trap tiles; up to three models per tile; dread warden added under conditions.
- Special tiles and tiles effects — Spear trap tile, abyssal tile, winch tile, illuminator tile are referenced with specific effects that affect movement and victory conditions.
- Tile Placement — Tiles are placed to extend the dungeon on open paths, constrained by line of sight from stormcast models.
- Tile placement with line of sight — Tiles are placed to extend the dungeon on open paths, constrained by line of sight from stormcast models.
- Variable Phase Order — Rounds consist of five phases: adding tiles, stormcast activation, removing tiles, chainrasp reinforcements, and chainrasp activation.
