Quotes (from this video)
- this is going to be the last monthly menu of the year
- all of us like that game and we got a four player game and oddly enough for as much as we all like the game for a couple of the players playing at 4 they actually liked it less and they felt like they were just behind the eightball and they couldn't get the dice that they wanted
- it is a hot mess of a game in regards to what what's on the table it sprawls it is huge there's constantly changing room abilities so there's a lot of stoping what does that do and there's a constantly changing Market it's like oh wait what does that do and there's all these spells they breaking the rules and all these things I adore it it is such a cool game
- this is one of those games that I will only play with the right people that's it and I truly don't care if I win or lose which is good cuz I keep losing but you play with the right people and it's just so much fun you have your little accusations flying around the table but it's just relaxed and it's fun and it's great and if you know the and if you know the TV show it is so very thematic
- it's a clever game it's a clever little game it's got these super cute little robots and super cute little animal assistance that you can get and use and it's a good light simple game I really do enjoy it's very clever I don't know that it reaches the heights of The Magnificent or revive for me but that's a real high bar and this is a game that I think is very much intended for more of a family audience bit simpler
- I love this game and Original Don and I we play it decently regularly when we're kind of at the end of the night and if it's just us we'll just pull it out we'll play it cuz it's now it's relatively quick for us to play and it's just delightful
- the metal dice for this thing are ridiculous there's they have no business existing and just the dice I think costs significantly more than the game but they're just amazing there are these awesome Dice

Mechanics (from transcript analysis)
- action selection — doing a dice rolling kind of action selection Style game.
- Boss Battler — this is a boss battler Style game in which you are taking on the role of a different hero and you are trying to defeat these different bosses in one-off scenarios.
- Boss Staggering — once there are no cards remaining in the stamina stack the boss is staggered.
- Boss Transformation — once there are no cards remaining here and you deal damage to the boss then the boss will change to its final form.
- campaign mode — though there is a campaign Journey mode that you can kind of string various fights together and kind of go through all of the different Heroes
- Card Play — you're going to pick three of these different cards they're going to use of particular import are the item cards here which are for the most part single-use cards.
- deck cycling — a lot of the abilities kind of let you cycle the deck let you cycle through new abilities you use it you lose it you get something new.
- Dice combat — you're going to roll one die when you do an attack... you're going to roll it and compare it to your threat number... if you roll below seven then the attack is a critical.
- Dice Rolling — doing a dice rolling kind of action selection Style game.
- Hero Stats — the heroes will have a different set of stats we have magic points we have hit points we have how much damage they do we have how many dice they roll when they attack and then we have their critical value.
- Resource Management (Magic/Corruption) — on the top left is going to tell you how much magic it's going to cost you to activate the card... if your corruption ever goes over the 12 then you are out of the game.
- Shattering (Hero Transformation) — at any time you can shatter yourself which means you're going to flip your card over... when you shatter you will flip over your board here and you'll reset your health to whatever your new value is as well as set your corruption to whatever the value is... you'll have a new power and you'll actually get rid of all of your previous abilities and replace them with however many abilities it says you get at the bottom of your card of these shattered abilities.
- threat management — you can spin magic points to move cards from the stamina to the fatigue stack... if your threat ever reaches 12 you will also shatter... you'll still have your threat and that'll operate exactly the same though that'll drop back down to zero.

Quotes (from this video)
- I think the art is really cool if you are into that bit style art.
- Thematically speaking I love the final form of the boss that is so video game.
- however I despise the dice swinging on the recover step because there is nothing more annoying than okay I'm going to do a recover and you roll a one and you get one magic point or drop your Threat by one because that means now you have to waste your entire turn and do it again and hope you don't roll the one again.

- remember those 16-bit retro video games with pixel art like Final Fantasy 6 or Super Mario World this one reminds me of those games
- how about when you at one stage fighting the boss when it opens its mouth or something like that for three seconds showing its weakness that is the best time to attack
- it's very important for each character to work well together right from the start
