- action selection — The cheshure cat... depending on the exact colors of dice there and how many dice you take, that will let you activate some of the four different abilities that are up there.
- Area Control — The queen of hearts. That is a pure area control. That's where you get to send out your troops to different places on the board depending on the number of dice you take.
