  • Combat — Players attack enemies and bosses, with some enemies having armor that requires multiple hits to remove.
  • Communal experience points — Experience points are communal, encouraging players to talk and work together on who should benefit from them to trigger combos.
  • Deck Building — Players build their decks over the course of the game by acquiring new weapons and characters.
  • evolutions — Unlocked evolutions stay out from game to game and provide powerful abilities, often requiring specific cards and treasure chests to acquire.
  • Health and damage tracking — Player mats have trackers for armor and max health, and players lose if their damage equals their max health.
  • Leveling up — Players can level up during the game, often by spending communal experience points to buy new cards.
  • Multi-Use Cards — Cards can be used for an instant effect or a persistent effect, requiring players to decide the best use for each card each turn.

Quotes (from this video)
  • I'm in that last camp and we'll talk about all three of those people and who's different things to think about if you're in one of those three camps a little bit later.
  • It just gives a really good thought process and agency to the game.
  • This game is a good hand management game because you can play as many cards as you want, which I love.
  • The unlocking the content, I love that you're unlocking it from achievements.
  • This is not necessarily a campaign game cuz usually campaigns have different scenarios and different setups and they they layer on heavy new mechanisms each time. This kind of takes the best of them what what I like about campaign games, which is it evolves, but it takes out all of the burden of learning a new game every every scenario.
  • If that's you, this does not have that problem because everyone has their hands of cards, everyone's making their own decision, you're working together, but no one can take over the game.
  • The Game Boy Geek breaking down barriers, growing relationships through board games, and helping you find that one you love.

Quotes (from this video)
  • It is no secret that I am a big fan of the Vampire Survivors video game. It sucked so much of my life away.
  • The goal is to survive as long as you can.
  • The premise is simple. You're going to survive as long as you can.
  • It is a deck building game. You're going to be adding these cards into your hand.
  • The way that you're comboing those weapons, the way that you're using multiple weapons at once to just kill all the enemies on the screen.
  • All in all, this does feel like a love letter to Vampire Survivors.
  • If you are a fan of Vampire Survivors, you have to check this game out.

Quotes (from this video)
  • I am CMO of Gamefound, but I do this series on Gamefound because it is the easiest one.
  • This is more Slay the Spire content. More things to mix in and new characters to dive into and new ways to kind of play through the progression of it all.
  • Brass Pittsburgh from Roxley being well, the number one game of all time.
  • The Witcher Legacy brings the world of The Witcher Old World, but it brings it to you in a legacy game.
  • But as an experience, it still is the best RPG board game I've played in the sense that giving me that sense of a character development, making choices, exploring the narrative while diving into combat, and having different uh diverse branching pathways as far as the mechanical elements of what you're doing in the game.
  • So, like the earlier stuff, I'm going to try to make you uh if you're excited about finding all the stuff about Lands of Evershade or who knows what, Slay of the Spire, those will all be later in the video.
  • The art style, I love the the the components, obviously, Awaken Realms, the general idea of like, you know, this eventual climactic boss fight. I like all that.
  • The sheer amount of content both excites and scares me for this one.
  • So color me both very interested and very hesitant all at the same time.

Quotes (from this video)
  • We're going to make another Marvel movie.
  • It's like it's like it's like it's like I forget who he mentioned.
  • And then the response, if I'm remembering correctly, from the person that started the thread said, 'Well, you would have gotten a deal. I'm looking for like $1,000 here.'
  • It's a legacy game. I did pick up u followers in Dallas last weekend.
  • I'm an agent of chaos.
  • You did it wrong. Everybody hates you.
  • I just can't trust anybody.
  • Everybody hates you. And uh you probably do everybody a real big favor if you just took yourself outside and shot yourself.
  • Yeah, 1984, this might have been one of the greatest years of movies. Terminator, Amadeus, Indiana Jones, Temple of Doom, Ghostbusters, Nightmare on Mr. This is Spinal Tap, Gremlins, Beverly Hills Cop, Karate Kid, 16 Candles, Police Academy. It's just banger after banger after banger.
  • We don't make movies anymore because and or you don't make movies that are in a movie theater anymore, you know?
  • It's just different now, right? People, we just don't make movies anymore because and or you don't make movies that are in a movie theater anymore, you know?
  • We could spend a billion dollar something something interesting and unique and original, but that would be risky, so we're just going to make another Marvel movie.
  • And then they say, 'Archer, I think he's in love with you.'
  • He played an absolute great one episode character in Archer
  • It's pretty good. Yeah, I liked it.
  • And then they left it open, right? They left it open with a little tease like, 'Oh, you know, he might not be getting away with this.' And then and then they never went back.
  • It's just so obscene. I can't even fit it on the any shelf that I have.
  • Everybody hates you. You did it wrong. Everybody hates you. And you probably do everybody a real big favor if you just took yourself outside and shot yourself.
  • I'm so jaded that I just can't trust anybody.
  • It's just banger after banger after banger.
  • It's like, you know, these, you know, movies like today's movies suck or whatever. I I don't I don't buy into that.

Quotes (from this video)
  • Here we've also got the good old games Doom 1 Doom 2.
  • Yeah, so you know, it's Doom.
  • It works.
  • And while we're talking about it, same idea here with Heretic and Hexen.
  • this is just Doom fantasy.
  • And then here we have System Shock 2.
  • But, it's it's a remaster of System Shock 2, so it's a little bit updated.
  • But it runs good just like basically right out of the box there.
  • And this is last one this Pico-8.
  • So, what Pico-8 is, it's almost like it's own little console.
  • But then, you get like hundreds and hundreds of games for free.
  • these little like Gameboy S games.
  • This top screen runs at 120 Hz.
  • So, if I'm just playing like, you know, retro games or something, I don't worry about it.
  • And if I'm especially if I'm playing the dual screen games here, then if you set this to 120, this bottom screen is like a little bit weird cuz the screen technically can't go to 120, but it kind of fakes it out.

  • What a load off my mind. Holy cow.
  • So tasty.
  • Don't hit me with a good time.

  • Vampire Survivors live on Kickstarter right now. $361,000.
  • Back Vampire Survivors the board game.
  • It's great. It's my game of the year.
  • Hero Forge, if you're watching, I'd love to make another video for you. Send me some more credits.
  • That [__] is addictive. Oh my god.
  • Gnome Hollow is a delightful game. Whether you're an avid board game player or new to board games, this game is very suitable for both. The gameplay is smooth. You have many action to choose from, but but it still remains clear. We really like the theme. Gnomes always do well. The ring markers are magnetic, which is super handy. That makes them easy to keep on your player board.
  • Hughes and Q's is quite good.
  • I felt like it's one of those games unfortunately after I play it once I was just like well and I never need to play this again.
  • A+ for style points. Super cute theme and artwork. I give this a low rating based on the fact that I myself just can't really play it. The spatial aspect of the rings with all their twists makes it hard for me to plan my turns and you can't get around the spatial aspect and to aim for a win through other methods.
  • People love to be harsh.
  • Tile laying that's been done before. The tile laying is really dull. Even though there are seven tiles to choose from, there are ever only one or two viable choices because you want to close the path as soon as possible. There is nothing new to see here. Move along.
  • I love people and I hate them at the same time.
  • Well, that's harsh.
  • We're in the happiest timeline right now.
  • There's no like RPG stuff there really.
  • I think that Morborg is just a garbage thing. It's just like it's it's it is it is it was a flash in the pan.
  • Yeah. And it's just like we got we're going to just have all these Borg things and I just like what are we doing?
  • I just need this remote control and this chair and that's all I need.
  • The Color from Outer Space. It showed up.
  • Well, what you need to go see or stream is um Renfield with Nick Cage.
  • That's just over the top ridiculous. It's It's amazing.
